Sound of Sorrow

I still feel the sorrow,

It's like I'm in a waking dream.

As Kharak hangs there burning,

As I hear its people's screams.

I can see the sorrow,

In my crew members' eyes.

As their gaze turns towards their home,

To burning land and skies.

I can hear the sorrow,

Footsteps on the decks.

It echoes through the mothership,

The sound of sobbing wrecks.

I can sense the sorrow,

The feelings of regret.

As that then turns to anger,

And vengeance it begets.

Deep within the ship's bright call,

These emotions, still I feel.

As real as any sensor output,

To me they are still real.

Our attackers won't give up the chase,

Our backs are to the wall.

So if conflict's called to the Kushan,

I shall answer the call.
