Sherlock was bored. Go figure. John and Mary were on their honeymoon, so he was by himself. Lestrade hadn't called in with a case, so Sherlock went to St. Barts.

When he walked into the morgue, he saw a body on one of the slabs. Upon further investigation, Sherlock discovered it was Molly. She was asleep on the slab. He studied her features as she slept.

"You know it is quite rude to stare." Molly said without opening her eyes.

Sherlock was startled. "Sorry. What are you sleeping in here for?"

"I had to work late last night. Then, they told me I needed to work this morning because the other pathologist is sick. I got a moment's piece and laid down to relax. I must have fallen asleep." Molly replied.

"When I need to relax, I go to my mind palace." Sherlock said.

"I don't have a mind palace." Molly said.

"You could if you wanted to." Sherlock replied.

"I don't know how." Molly said.

"I'll show you. Come to Baker Street with me." Sherlock said.

"O-okay. Let me get my purse." Molly replied. She put her lab coat away and followed Sherlock to a cab.

The ride to Baker Street was silent. Molly didn't want Sherlock to comment on her inability to make good conversation. They entered 221B and Mrs. Hudson greeted them.

Sherlock sat in his chair. Molly sat cross-legged on the floor.

"A mind palace is multiple things. It is where you store information about people, places, facts, etc. It is a place of escape. More often than not, you will use it as such. Now, for the creation of your mind palace. It does not have to be a palace, just a place you feel comfortable." Sherlock explained.

Molly closed her eyes and envisioned a two story flat. There were hallways with various doors.

"Have you got it?" Sherlock asked. Molly nodded. "Good. Next, sort out each room in your palace."

Molly entered the first room. It was furnished like Baker Street. Sherlock was in this room. The next room was John and Mary's, and so on.

When she opened her eyes, Sherlock was still in his chair.

"All sorted?"

"Yes. I have it sorted." Molly replied.

"Now, you have somewhere to go when you need solace from the world." Sherlock said.

John's first visit to Baker Street after his honeymoon was not what he was expecting.

He found Sherlock and Molly hanging off the sofa in the 'Mind Palace Position'.

"I leave him alone for two weeks, and what does he do? He teaches Molly the ways of Sherlock Holmes." He said and sat in his old chair. "This could take a while."
