"Get your fucking hands off him!" Daryl roared at seeing the large ginger manhandle his pregnant mate. Not only was the ginger twice as tall and more muscular than his mate, but he was also loaded down with multiple guns and knives.

"Is that any way to thank someone for saving the life of a stranger?" Abraham asked arrogantly, holding the boy at his side.

"I'm okay," Harry said, wincing when Abraham squeezed his arm. "Both Lizzie and I are okay."

"Let him go!" Daryl demanded, not missing that the ginger was hurting his mate.

Abraham stepped away from the truck, dragging the boy with him. He was impressed, the men in front of him were big and strong looking, they were just what he was looking for. "We need to have a little pow wow first before I let the kid and the girl go."

"Or I could just shoot you between the eyes now!" Merle snarled. "I was a sniper, I won't miss."

Abraham held his free hand up. "I'm not here looking for trouble, just payment for saving the kid's life. I could have saved time and ammunition and left him buried under a heard of the dead, a lovely warm chew toy for them, but I risked my life and precious ammo and I saved him. I even turned back around when he begged me too, but he promised me some good fighting men in return. I'm on a mission, a mission to save mankind, and I need tough as shit men to see me safely to Washington, DC."

"You're not going to see your way safely back into your truck if you don't get your hands off my son," Sirius threatened.

Abraham turned to the boy, his eyes narrowed. "Tell them, kid, tell them about the deal we made."

Harry wanted to roll his eyes, the man was deranged. He was standing in front of five armed and dangerous men demanding that they go with him. Not only that, but he was threatening him by not not allowing him and Lizzie to return to their family. Abraham may be armed, but he was outnumbered. "He did save me, I would surely be dead right now if it hadn't been for him. I passed out after the attack, and when I woke up we were an hour away headed north. He refused to let Lizzie and I out so I promised him that we would go with him to Washington if we turned around. I didn't know what else to do. I don't think they're bad people, just desperate."

"How many people are in the truck?" Rick asked calmly.

"Just another man and a woman. The man is claiming to be a scientist, he claims that he knows what started the epidemic and that he can stop it."

"Do you believe him?" Remus asked curiously.

Harry looked anxiously to Abraham before subtly shaking his head no. He believed that Abraham believed Eugene, but his instincts were telling him that the other man was full of shit. There was just something about Eugene that didn't sit right with him.

Snarling, Abraham gave the boy's arm a rough shake. "We had a deal!"

Raising his gun, Merle clicked the safety off. "Get your filthy hands off him!"

Abraham wrapped a muscular arm around the boy's slim waist, making all five men freeze. "We had a deal!"

"I was desperate," Harry whimpered, not liking that Abraham was gripping him around his pregnant belly. "You refused to let us go, I had to do something. You were forcing us to go to Washington with you, you were stealing us away from our family. What would you have done in my place?"

"This mission is too important," Abraham mumbled, a manic look in his eyes. "I have lost a lot of good men and women getting Eugene this far, I'm not going to stop now. Rosita!" He bellowed.

"I'm going to kill him!" Daryl threatened, taking a step forward. His wolf was snarling in the back of his mind, furious that this man had his mate and was touching his pregnant belly.

Sirius held out his arm to stop Daryl, not taking his eyes off his son or the man. "Don't, it will only take a second for him to hurt Harry, and they still have Lizzie in the truck."

Rosita slid out of the truck, her eyes wide. "Abraham, lets just go, we don't need them." She wasn't stupid, she could tell that this was going to end very badly if they didn't let the kid and the girl go.

"Just one. Give me just one man," Abraham demanded. "If you don't, then the boy goes with me. He may be little, but he's a tough little shit."

"No," Rick said simply. "Harry and Lizzie are with us and we're not splitting up for some crazy mission."

"Fuck this!" Merle snapped, firing his gun and shooting out one of the truck's tires. "Now no one is going to Washington."

Abraham bellowed like a loud, enraged bull as he roughly shoved the boy away from him and headfirst into the truck. Swinging his rifle around, he pointed it at the man. "What in the saggy nut sack is your problem? I'm on a mission! Nothing is going to stop me! Nothing!"

Harry slid to the ground, his hand over his head. His head hurt and he was seeing stars, but he was okay. At seeing Abraham pointing a gun at his family, and his family pointing their guns back, Harry unsteadily got to his feet. "Stop it! No more!"

Sirius subtly dropped his wand into his hand and gave it a flick, dropping big red with a silent stunner. It was a mild stunner, he didn't want to incapacitate the man long, just long enough to get Harry and Lizzie. He had wanted to AK him for hurting his son, but the man had saved Harry's life and brought him back. Of course he thought he was returning to pick up more men to join him on his crazy ass mission. Still, he didn't want to kill the man in front of Lizzie.

"Abraham!" Rosita screamed as she rushed around the truck. "What did you do to him?"

"Nothing," Sirius answered, giving her an innocent look. "We haven't even moved."

Still rubbing his head, Harry rushed around the truck, opening the door so he could get Lizzie out. He was stopped though by a familiar arm wrapping around his waist, tugging him back and into a warm, muscular chest. Knowing that it was Daryl, he melted into his hold. He wanted to breakdown and cry in relief, but he had to get Lizzie safely away from the other man.

"I'll get her," Rick said, rushing past Harry and Daryl then climbing into the truck.

Daryl held his mate as tightly as he safely could, surprised to see that he was shaking. He wasn't one to scare easily, but seeing Harry being held by that deranged man had terrified him. "Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

"Just a bit shook up," Harry admitted, "but he didn't hurt me."

"I'm gonna kill him," Daryl snarled.

"Don't," Harry said softly. "Abraham is a bit crazy, but he saved my life. I don't think he's bad, I just think he thinks that this mission will save the world. I think he needs this mission, a reason to keep going. He's desperate and has probably lost loved ones.

"Fucking bleeding heart," Merle mumbled fondly.

"He lost his wife and kids early on," Rosita confirmed. "He met Eugene and Eugene explained to him that he knew what was causing the epidemic and that he needed to get to Washington so he could fix everything. We have travelled a long way and have lost a lot of people protecting Eugene."

"And how do you know this Eugene guy isn't pulling your dick?" Merle asked gruffly.

"I don't, but Eugene is like really, really smart."

Merle looked back towards the truck and watched as Rick got out with Lizzie in his arms. His eyes quickly scanned the young girl, looking for any injuries. Other that a dirty face and what looked like scraped hands, the kid looked okay. At seeing another man exit the truck behind Rick, Merle threw his head back and started howling with laughter. "Ah hell, little lady, you think that there is a smart, hoity-toity, scientist that is going to save all our asses? With that horrible mullet?"

Rosita grimaced as she looked at Eugene. "He really is smart, and Abraham believes him."

Looking like he was close to shitting himself with fear, Eugene cleared his throat. "I was a scientist working on the Human Genome project with nine other scientists, dealing with research on how to combat diseases with other diseases. You get me to Washington, DC, and I can save the world."

"That is word for word what he told me earlier," Harry snorted. "Sounds too rehearsed to me."

"A call bullshit!" Daryl growled, still holding his young mate. He was never letting Harry go, his heart couldn't take another scare.

"He's lying," Remus said, glaring at the man. He wasn't a Legilimens like Snape, but he also wasn't stupid."

"I-I'm not," Eugene stuttered. "I was a scientist working on the Human Genome project with nine other scientists, dealing with research on how to combat..."

"Shut up you fucking retard!" Merle snarled, interrupting the man's well rehearsed speech. "Ain't no one here buying your shit, cowboy. If you're a scientist, then I'm the President of the United States."

"Washington, DC, is the safest place there is," Eugene proclaimed, raising his head in defiance. "It's where the president himself is."

"Eugene," Rosita called in a small voice, "please tell me that you haven't been lying to us. You're a scientist right? You know how to save us, right?"

"I needed to get to Washington," Eugene answered meekly. "I'm not a fighter, I wouldn't have survived three days if you all hadn't thought I was a scientist. People like me, we're not cut out for this type of world. I did what I had to do to survive. I am not combat ready nor am I combat inclined, Abraham would have left me to the dead if he knew I was just a very smart video gamer. I know stuff, very important stuff, but I have no survival skills and I do not know how to stop this epidemic."

An extremely angry looking Abraham, who had awoke from his stunner, got to his feet, a look of utter disbelief and horror on his face. Without saying a word, he stalked up to Eugene, laying him out with just one punch to the head. Falling to his knees, Abraham dropped him chin to his chest in defeat.

"Well that was entertaining," Merle chuckled merrily. "Now let's get princess back home so my baby brother can lock him in a tower. I doubt after this he will be allowed to see the light of day."

"It was my fault!" Lizzie cried as she clung to Rick's hand. "I left the prison to be with my friends, Harry saved me."

Merle pointed to Lizzie, his face grim. "We are going to be having a talk, little lady, what you did was very stupid. Not only did you almost get yourself and Harry killed, but Sasha and Ty are also missing."

"What?" Harry asked in alarm.

"They went out looking for you, but in the opposite direction." Daryl explained. "Glenn, Maggie, and Michonne are our looking for them now."

Sirius sighed heavily. "Alright, lets get back to the prison, it's been a long day for everyone. Harry, I want Remus to check you over when we get back. Did you use any magic?"

Harry tried to squirm out of Daryl's arms, but his mate wasn't letting him go. "No, I'm fine though, just tired, dehydrated and starving."

"I'm still checking you over," Remus said seriously. "You don't realize how delicate your condition is."

"I do realize it, but I had to find Lizzie."

"Stubborn," Daryl grunted. "I'm tying you to our bed for the rest of your life."

"Kinky," Harry chuckled, winking at his mate.

"You can't leave me here with them," Rosita cried as she pointed to an unconscious Eugene and Abraham who hadn't so much as twitched finger since he fell to his knees. The man looked as though he was in shock or something.

"Not our problem, sugar tits," Merle sneered.

"We saved his life," Rosita pointed out stubbornly, "You can't just walk away."

"Yes, we can," Merle snorted.

Harry felt conflicted, yes Abraham saved his life, but he was also going to kidnap him and force him to go to Washington with them. He only brought him back because he thought he was going to get more men to help him, it wasn't out of the kindness of his heart. Then there was Eugene, yes he lied to Abraham and tried lying to them, but in a way he couldn't blame him. He had been in Eugene's shoes after he was separated from Daryl, he had been scared, alone and desperate, he would have said or done almost anything to stay safe. Then there was Rosita, she hadn't said or done much, but she had taken up for him a time or two and she seemed nice. Lizzie said that it had been Rosita who had given her water and an apple.

"No!" Daryl hissed in his mate's ear, knowing his mate well enough to know what he was thinking. "We're not bringing them back with us."

"Absolutely not!" Rick vehemently agreed. "We don't need three more mouths to feed."

"We don't need a pussy in a mullet either!" Merle howled.

Harry didn't want them to return to the prison with them either, but he couldn't leave them stranded, not after they saved his life. "At least fix their tire and help Rosita get Eugene in the truck."

"No!" Abraham said dangerously, voice barely above a whisper. "Leave him for the dead."

"Ugh, too much drama for old Merle, lets go." Merle said, turning and heading back towards the prison.

Harry looked softly to Rosita. "I'm sorry," he said, meaning it.

"I'll get the tire," Sirius offered, waving his wand and performing a quick repairo.

"How in the hell did you do that?" Abraham asked in shock as he got to his feet. Walking up to the now inflated tire, he gave it a couple sharp kicks.

"Magic," Sirius answered simply as he turned to follow Merle.

Harry managed to wiggle out of Daryl's tight embrace, but his mate was still gripping his arm. Rolling his eyes, he walked up to Abraham, staying out of reach of his arms. He knew what it felt like to be dropped by a man of Abraham's size, and right now the ginger was upset and unpredictable and he really didn't want to be punched again. "Thank you for saving my life, I'm sorry that Eugene wasn't being honest. Don't be too hard on him though, he's not big and strong like you, he was just using what he had to survive. I didn't get a chance to really talk to him, but he seemed like a pretty smart guy, you never know when those brains of his will come in handy. Good luck."

"We can help you," Rosita called as Harry went to walk past her. "Abraham and I are strong, we can help."

"Don't need no help," Daryl grunted, squeezing Harry's arm in warning. He knew his mate, he had a soft heart and wouldn't be able to say no.

"Just keep walking, Harry," Rick whispered. "I know you care about people, but they'll be fine."

Harry nodded his head in agreement, he felt bad but they couldn't take everyone in. There were already too many of them back at the prison, at this rate they'd never get back to the wizarding world.

With a tired yarn, Harry laid back on the medical bed so Remus could scan him. He knew he was fine, he felt fine and his magic was content, but he knew that his dads and Darly would worry until he got checked out. All he needed was food, water and sleep and then he'd be as good as new.

"Would I be wasting my breath if I pointed out all the ways you were stupid for leaving the prison by yourself?" Remus scolded.

Harry looked to his mate who was anxiously hovering at his bedside. "I had to go after Lizzie."

"You could have waited for Ty and Sasha."

"I was scared and not thinking straight," Harry defended. "Lizzie is just a little girl who isn't right in the head right now, I had to find her."

Remus shook his head, his wand trembling in his hand. "When I think about what could have happened to you, I just..."

Harry lurched up, wrapping his arms around his dad's stomach. "I'm sorry," he cried. "I'm sorry that I took off and I'm sorry I scared everyone. If it makes you feel any better, I never ever want to leave these walls again."

"Makes me feel better," Daryl said moodily. "Though I know you'll do the same thing if something happens again." He was mad as hell at his little mate, but he was also proud of him. He didn't know how he was lucky enough to get a mate that was so compassionate, caring and brave. He didn't deserve Harry.

"Okay," Remus said gently pushing Harry back down on the bed. "This scan will only take a second."

Harry held his breath as Remus scanned him, praying that everything was alright with the little bean that was growing inside of him. He would never regret going after Lizzie, but he'd be devastated if something happened to the baby.

"You're extremely dehydrated, but everything else looks good. I want you to drink plenty of fluids, get something to eat, then take a dreamless sleep potion."

Harry's face scrunched up in disgust. "I don't need a potion, I'll be able to sleep just fine on my own."

"Harry," Remus sighed, "just take the damn potion so I know that you'll get a good, uninterrupted sleep. If you won't take it for yourself, then take it for the baby who needs his daddy well rested and healthy."

"He'll take it," Daryl said, glaring at his mate.

Harry reluctantly nodded his head. "Fine, I'll take it."

"He's stubborn," Sirius chuckled entering the cell as Harry and Daryl left. "Everything okay with him?"

Remus pursed his lips. "He's fine, though his magic is a little low. He may not have purposely used magic, but he used a lot of energy today, energy that he didn't have to spare so his magic gave him a boost. Sirius, he doesn't have any magic to spare. This can't happen again."

"One of us is going to have to remain with him at all times, not only to make sure he doesn't do something stupid, but also incase of an emergency. Harry always puts others first, we need to make sure that he puts himself and his baby first."

"This is going to be long pregnancy," Remus said tiredly. "Did Glenn's group return?"

"They did, and they found Sasha and Ty. That's not all they found, it looks like that ginger bastard is driving around looking for us."

Remus groaned. "Don't tell Harry. I'm grateful that he saved our cub, but he was also going to take off with him. I don't trust them."

"Already discussed it with Rick and Merle, they agree. If we see them while on a run, we ignore them unless they are in trouble. They'll eventually move on if they can't find us."

"Has anyone checked on Lizzie?" Remus asked, feeling bad that he was just now thinking about the little girl.

"She's fine. Carol cleaned her up, fed her, and she was so exhausted that she fell asleep at the table. She's another one who needs an around the clock babysitter. I think she had a bit of a rude awakening today, but she still won't admit that the walkers are dangerous. The sooner we get that girl in the Wizarding world the better. She needs some serious mind healing."

"We will set up a rotation so someone is with her at all times, maybe it will even be smart to put a tracking charm on her." Remus suggested.

"Hopefully we will get another portkey soon so we can get her help and talk to Dumbledore about Harry's condition. We need all the help we can get with that boy.
