This story is supposed to be on hold...But after reading the recent reviews, I decided to work on a chapter tonight. So here ya go

Please read the note at the end.

The teapot glowed brightly for a second from the inside, before settling on a faint glow. It looked as if there were a tiny sun trapped within the pot.

The group glanced at each other uncertainly.

"I think...that was a good sign," Anna began, her brows knit together. She sounded unsure.

"Hopefully," Rapunzel forced out a hesitant smile. Truth be told, she was never really informed on the details on how her mother had ingested the flower. She was only told that she had "drank" it. Worst case scenario, they had just wasted a magic flower without a guarantee of ever finding another one. No big deal.

"Well, we will never know if we do not try," Elsa spoke.

"Ice cube's right. What's done is done. Might as well drink the darn thing," Jack added with a grin. "Go on, pour it. I can probably just find another one if this one fails."

"Probably." Anna rolled her eyes but smiled. She poured the glowing contents into the cup as Elsa took the tray off of her hands and set it down on a nearby table. Apparently, she had fetched just enough water for one cup as the teapot was emptied entirely.

The contents, to put it simply, looked like liquid sunlight.

Bright gold in color, the liquid shimmered with every slightest of movements. A faint fragrance accompanied the smell. It reminded them of green meadows, rushing rivers, wildflower beds, and nature. It was the smell of life.

"Well, if that doesn't look magical then I don't know what does," remarked Jack.

Anna smiled and carefully handed the cup to Rapunzel who took it with both hands as she eyed the cup wearily. Looking up, the queen met Elsa's eyes.

"Are you sure?"

Elsa hesitated. Then she nodded firmly.

Rapunzel smiled before daintily lifting the cup to her lips.

The change was immediate. It looked as if the sunlight flowed directly into her hair itself. From the roots, it quickly flowed to the tips and it didn't stop there.

Like a golden waterfall, the hair burst forth in a brilliant rush, gleaming brightly as it came. Rapunzel, along with the rest of the group, yelped at the sudden change. Fortunately, she had finished the drink in one quick gulp. Jack gracefully hopped backward into the air to avoid getting caught up in the sudden explosion of hair as Anna and Elsa were forced to scamper backward until their backs reached the wall.

And just as quickly as it grew, it stopped.

What was left was a huge heap of silky, golden hair nearly chest height to Rapunzel who turned awkwardly to look. Her eyes widened. Then she grinned.

"It worked!"' she exclaimed happily, twirling around to get a good look at her newfound hair. She quickly put the now empty cup upon a table before running her fingers through the strands, wonder in her eyes. It was like Christmas came early.

"It worked," Jack echoed, surprised. Then he grinned as well. "It worked! Holy moly, you have a lot of hair!"

"I know right?!" Rapunzel squealed. "I forgot how heavy this was though…"

"A lot is an understatement," Elsa remarked dryly.

Anna, who was frozen in her spot in shock with the teapot still clutched in her hand, snapped out of it and took a step forward, an ear to ear grin on her own face. "How do you wash all of that?!"

Rapunzel laughed. "It doesn't get dirty, thankfully."

"Whaaat? I need that kind of magic for my own hair!"

"So what you're saying is, if I pour something in it, it won't get dirty," Jack said with a smirk.

"Jack don't you dare."

"I'm just saying, we should test it out to make sure it's completely back to how it used to be."

"Oh shush. I'm sure it's fine."

"Rapunzel, how do you plan to dance at the ball with your hair like that?" Elsa interrupted. "Surely we will need to trim it. I can fetch the royal hairdresser at once."

Rapunzel paled. "No, no! It's fine! I can just braid it and it'll be manageable! Besides, I can't cut it."

Elsa frowned. "What do you mean?"

"I will literally lose my powers if it's cut. That's how I lost them in the first place; Eugene cut it off."

"Your husband?" Anna pulled a face. "Well, that doesn't sound like true love."

"Trust me, he did it out of love," Rapunzel laughed.

"Rapunzel, how do you plan to explain this," Elsa gestured to the pile of hair. "To your kingdom?"

"Er…" Rapunzel frowned. "Can't I just say that you gave them back to me?"

"I suppose so…" Elsa trailed off uncertainly.

Rapunzel eyed her curiously. "Why, were you planning to have this gift come with strings?"

"No, of course not!" Elsa said quickly, her ears turning pink.

Rapunzel laughed. "I was just teasing you. I know you're not like that, despite how the royal life raised you to be."

"How the royal life raised her to be?" Jack asked, curiosity in his eyes. He cocked his head to one side. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, it is how most royals grow up. They're groomed to be political leaders since childhood," Rapunzel explained patiently. "I'm an exception, of course, since I was separated from my parents most of my life and didn't even know I was royalty until recently. But for most other royals, especially for firstborns, they're taught how to think and act like leaders."

"It's a pain in the butt!" Anna complained. "All those lessons of sitting straight hurt!"

"So...you guys just learn how to be all elegant and stuff?"

"Not exactly." Rapunzel shook her head. "I'm actually going through a crash course in this right now. There's also history, science, art lessons, singing lessons...the whole lot. But most importantly, we have to learn how to do business."

Jack stared at them blankly. "You guys learn how to sell apples."

"I'd rather sell ice," Anna commented.

"Not exactly. We learn how to control others," Rapunzel corrected. "Normally, gifts are either a formality, a bribe, or something that is expected to be paid back. Sadly, it's really rare to see a gift being given without strings attached among royalty."

"But what about friends?"

"It's rare for royalty to have real friends, Jack," Rapunzel said softly. She smiled sadly. "That was probably the hardest thing for me to accept when I became queen."

"Some people will even pretend to be our true love for power," Anna added with a huff. She crossed her arms and pouted.

"Anna, you were the only one who was fooled by that man." Elsa rolled her eyes.

"So you guys don't have actual friends?" Jack asked incredulously.

"We do have friends," Elsa corrected. "But real friends are harder to find and we have to be careful of being fooled by fake friends. It is why I would rather not have a partner for the ball; it is not worth the headache."

"Wow."

"Yeah, she's uptight for a reason," Anna said. "Especially with her having powers. Everyone wants to be friends with her. Speaking of which…" Anna turned to Rapunzel. "You'll be facing the same problems now that you have powers too."

Rapunzel groaned. "Don't remind me."

A muffled knock came from the door. "Queen Rapunzel, Kristoff is here to see you and Princess Anna."

"Oh!" Anna's eyes widened and she shared a knowing panicked glance with Rapunzel. Elsa frowned.

"Tell him to come in," Rapunzel called out. A second later, Kristoff walked in carrying a small burlap bag.

"Hey so that trolls finally found som—" Kristoff suddenly stopped, staring at Elsa. "Oh, uh, hey Elsa. Didn't see you there."

Elsa frowned. "The trolls? Why were you with the trolls?"

"Er. Family business." Kristoff averted his gaze.

Elsa narrowed her eyes. Suspicious.

"Kristoff, what is inside that bag?"

"Carrots. For Sven. You know how he is," Kristoff forced out a laugh. "You know how he is with his carrots."

"Mhm." Elsa was unconvinced.

"You know, I'm sure you have a lot of work to do with the ball coming up in a few days. Meeting royals, having meetings, planning…" Anna put her hand on Elsa's back and started guiding her towards the door. "Can't have you falling behind now, can we? We'll keep Jack here to be sure he doesn't distract you or anything."

"Since when did you care about my work?"

"Since now. Bye!" Anna all but shoved the queen out the door, much to the surprise of the guards posted outside. Before Elsa could protest, her sister shut the door in her face.

Author's Note:

I was going to just post an author's note but I felt bad not having a chapter to go with it so…

Alright, so I think I owe an explanation. To put it bluntly, Frost Fun is no longer my priority for now. I am NOT dropping this. But basically, this story was started more than two years ago as a joke between me and my friend who edited early chapters and designed the cover. Yes, I am still all for Jelsa but now that I reread this, I think that this story was set up a lot more poorly than I am comfortable working with and has a lot of crude humor in the beginning. To put it simply, I lost interest in this story.

I honestly had almost forgotten about this story but recent reviews reminded me to update this and made me determined to finish this

As of now I am focusing on Miraculous Ladybug but I will continue to update this (I aim to finish this story around 20 chapters before May. Sorry m(_ _)m
