Author's Note: I originally wrote this in 2013 on a notebook and only just posted it today. It doesn't have a heavy and fun plot but I felt that it deserved to be posted. Thanks so much for visiting! Please review:)

CANA & LAXUS-future setting,

It had been a long day for the blonde S-class mage. He'd agreed to take care of two brats while Cana was on a mission. This wasn't exactly how we had planned on spending that day but he remembered the argument they'd had and decided some space would be smart.

So he fulfilled his duty as a father and took the boys out for the day.

He took them out to a café for sandwiches and orange juice for breakfast. Then he momentarily dumped them on Bunny Girl (Lucy for those unfamiliar with the nickname) and her kids at the playground while he took care of some punks insulting the name of Fairy Tail before taking the boys to his favorite barber shop for a haircut. To his slightly annoyance, surprise and amusement the boys had chosen hairstyles matching his own. Somehow, he wanted to take a photo of them together with their fresh haircuts but knowing that would spoil his reputation in the town and being far too awkward to ask someone to take a picture, he brought them to the park. There the twins had caused havoc by uprooting a tree, trampling the daisies and finally, 'accidentally' pushing a fat, dirty rich old lady into the pond.

They took a train for half an hour and had lunch at a fast-food outlet at the random town. Then they had made their way home, sometimes running and sometimes walking. The trio had stopped a small bar for a dinner of fish and chips and nachos.

By the time they had reached Magnolia, the Moon was in the sky and they were exhausted. On the way they had stopped by a convenience store while Laxus bought something.

The moment Laxus walked through the front door, he felt this intense urge to turn back around and act s if he hadn't seen what he just had.

Cana was lying upside down on the armchair with several barrels lying around her. They filled up most of the living room and the house was full of the smell of alcohol.

The 2nd generation dragon slayer sighed before taking the twins of his shoulders and telling them to go shower and get dressed for bed before making his way over to the snoring brunette.

Gently, he tried to shake her awake. "Cana, Cana Oi!" She stirred slightly I her sleep and turned over before beginning to snore slightly.

Deciding that disturbing her sleep would be unnecessary and useless, the blonde picked her up in his arms carefully and carrying her to their bedroom and laying her out on the bed.

Once on the soft mattress she rolled over and shifted her arms. She muttered in her sleep, "Laxus…twins…late…got to freaking stop drinking."

Laxus could only smile, plant a small kiss on her forehead and cover her with the thick blanket.

The boys were tucked into their beds and fell asleep easily, emptied of their energy from the long and exciting day. After a cool shower and some stretching, Laxus moved the empty barrels outside and crawled under the blanket next to his wife. It had been a long day and he fell asleep the moment he closed his eyes.

The following morning, Cana woke up feeling like her head would explode. However being an experienced drinker, se managed to get herself to the bathroom before further chaos would ensue.

After a quick shower she made herself some coffee and went to check on the boys.

They had identical builds but Damon's hair was brown like her own and Ramon had blonde hair like Laxus. They were angelic in their dreaming states but like little balls of lightning when they were awake.

Loud little balls of lightning.

She returned to her bedroom with two mugs of coffee, setting them on the set of drawers. Climbing back under the warm covers she leaned on the familiar warm body of her husband and smiled.
