Sora: As you can see, I'm still writing chapter 3 of Hidden Idol. Gomen. This is just a story I came up with in in the shower for some weird reason. Hope you enjoy it. Sorry if it gets to confusing at the end. R&R

Disclaimer: I own nothing except this story.

"I love you so much. More than anything in the world." How many times were those words uttered and murmured into my ear as I replied with the same amount of feeling in my heart. Yet, the next thing we do is hurt each other unknowingly. But I wonder how it ended up like this. Maybe it was my fault for running away from you like that, into the street. Maybe the whole fight was my fault. How funny. Even though I work with logic, I can't seem to figure it out.

I say this out loud as you kneel in front of the grave that I'm sitting on. "Gomen. It was all my fault. Everything," you say out loud. I immediately shake my head. "No. It was my fault. Gomen," I say, even though he can't hear me. "It's been 2 years. It's about time I pass on." With the last of my strength and my final with to God, I materialize. "Kaito," I speak softly, running my fingers through his silky hair. "Shinichi?" He looks up with surprise in his eyes. Dark bags surround them like the night. "Are you really Shinichi?" I nod, not wanting to use my voice.

He hugs me tight, not wanting to let go. "Kaito. Look at me." He does as I say. "It's been 2 years. I need to go." He widens his eyes. "D-demo!" I smile softly. "Let go of me Kaito. Do what you've set out to do all these years." He shakes his head, not wanting to let me go. "I have little time Kaito. Do it. It's your goal remember? I'll be incredibly happy." I start to fade, tiny spheres of light floating towards the sky. "S-Shinichi!" He hugs me even tighter. "It's time for me to go Kaito. We'll meet again. I promise." Before I can completely fade away, I say the words that have been murmured numerous times. "I love you." Then I disappear.

Kaito looked up longingly at the sky. "If you say that, why won't you stay with me? Why won't you come back?" He got up, knowing that nothing will change if he just stays in his frozen time. "I'll definitely make you happy, Shinichi."

One Week Later

Newspaper headline: The Disappearance of Kaito Kid? The Midnight Star Ruby Not Returned!

Kaito smiled at the headline and looked up at the sky. "I did it Shin-chan. I destroyed Pandora!" Kaito imagined Shinichi's happy face and smiled even brighter.

80 years later, London

A boy with indigo eyes and messy hair burst into the room on 221B Baker Street. "Sherlock! Sherlock!" An incredibly annoyed and young man who looked almost exactly like the man who burst in answered. "What do you want, Lupin?" The man named Lupin lit up. "I've got my heist riddle written out! Can you solve it?" The man named Sherlock smirked. "Oh? Is that a challenge for me? Fine then, I accept," taking the card out of the thief's hand. "Oh. You should stop doing things like Kid. It makes people who were alive then suspicious."

"Demo Shin-chan. Nobody remembers Kid anymore. It's fine," Lupin whined. Sherlock sighed. "It is not fine and stop calling me that Kai. We're reincarnated remember? If anyone hears you say my name like that, they'll get curious and bug me." Kaito pouted. "No. Sherlock is Shinichi. Besides I love you both."

"Hai, hai. By the way, I solved it." Shinichi/Sherlock made his way over to Kaito/Lupin. "As expected of my love. Here's your prize." Lupin kissed Sherlock on the cheek. "Ah, mou, stop that." Sherlock waved a hand but smiled anyway, putting his forehead on his lover's. Both of them smiled and kissed. "I love you, Shinichi." Sherlock smiled. "Me too, Kaito." It was Lupin's turn to smile now.
