Maya had accidently blown up a mailbox. After the explosion, she stood there staring at the remains of the mailbox, still shocked about what she had done. What have I done, what have I done? is the only thought that would come to her mind. A few minutes later, Maya heard the police cars coming. Scared of what might happen if she got caught, she ran. She ran to the first place she could think of. Riley's house. She climbed up to the window in Riley's room. Nobody was in there, but she still decided to hide under Riley's bed. Soon, she got hungry, so she sneaked out to the kitchen to get some food. As soon as she was out of the door, she was caught by Riley. "What are you doing here?"

"Riley, can I please have some food first; I'm starving."

"Sure, but you have to tell me what's going on."

"Okay." Riley went to the kitchen and got a banana, a pack of crackers, and a bottle of water. She went back to her room and gave Maya the food.

"Okay, now, what happened? You always tell me when you come over. You never hide in my room."

"Okay, but first, you have to promise not to tell anyone." Riley nodded her head.

"Okay, so I had this firework thing left from the Fourth of July, and I lighted it to see it go off, but there were so many people around, and I panicked so I stuck it in a mailbox, and as soon as I did that, it blew up."

"Maya, I have to tell mom and dad."

"Riley, you promised!"

"I'm sorry Maya, I have to."

"Riley, please," she said, her voice breaking.

"I'm sorry, I have to." Riley stood up, and walked to her parent's room. Maya, crying, ran into the bathroom in Riley's room, and locked the door. Riley told her mom and dad what had happened with Maya, and the three of them went into Riley's room. They all tried to get Maya to come out of the bathroom, but nothing worked. Riley stayed outside the bathroom door and tried to get Maya to come out, while Cory and Topanga went into the living room to talk. Topanga had an idea, but she wasn't sure if it would work.

"Cory, you need to call Shawn."

"Why? We're dealing with a serious situation here!"

"Cory, Shawn has blown up a mailbox before. I know he'll know how to get Maya out of there." Knowing that Topanga was right, Cory called Shawn, and told him what happened. By the end of the phone call, Shawn was already on his way over.
