(Okay, after writing Hello I got this idea with the idea from watching Matilda (Which I do not own). So, after talking with Eternal, I'm using her idea about the twins parents (That that belongs to her). I'm using this story as a back up project when I have writers block for Life as A Cipher and Gravity Dose Fall Sometimes. Enjoy, Favorite, and Review, Please :D )

I Don't Own Gravity Falls

Chapter 1

Pine Twins

Some people take a emotional approach to a child. Some see them as the most beautiful things to ever grace this planet. They are all born, but not all the same. But, in this opinion, it is true that every human being is unique. For better or worse. However, their are some who take a less 'emotional' approach to their child. And that is where Dipper and Mabel Pines come in.

When living with a perfectionist dad, and out of it mom, there is little to be said that will change the outcome. Mable, being the eldest, tried to take it and act as 'perfect' as she could. However, the youngest, Dipper did the opposite. He was just himself, and wasn't going to be anyone he's not.

When both were born, their parents didn't really understand them. In all plain truth, they never really wanted to have children. But fate had a different plan, and the twins were brought into this world.

Emma and David Pines lived in a very nice neighborhood, in a very nice house. They acted like nice people, but their kids saw otherwise. It's one thing to act, it's another to act and raise not one but two kids.

The Pine were so busy in their own lives, that they barely even noticed their kids. For one reason, if they had paid any attention to Dipper at all. They'd realize he was a rather smart kid.

"Oh my gosh, Max, now look what you did!" Max had written his own name out of the mashed up peas. Of course, 'Dipper' was not his real name. They named him 'Maxwell Pines'.

"Your supposed to eat the peas..." Emma groaned as she put Dipper in the sink to clean him off. She muttered something to herself. Mabel on the other hand was rather creative, no matter how much her parents tried to get her interested in something else.

By the time the twins were two-years-old they had learned what most people learn in their early 30's. How to take care of themselves. Dipper jumped down from the sink and Mabel followed. Putting their dirty rags into the washer, then to their rooms to get dressed.

As time when by, they had developed a sense of style. Mabel was dressed in a pink sweater with a pig on it and a dark blue skirt and black shoes with white socks. Dipper had on a green shirt with a blue jacket tied around his waist and dark blue shorts and brown shoes. The twins looked at each other, walking down stairs.

Every morning their dad went off to work selling cars to buyers, while their mother went off to the neighbors house for some tea and mindless chatter.

"Fish fingers in the microwave." she told her kids with a fake smile, and the door closed. The twins were left alone, that was how they liked it. Dipper smiled at Mabel, as he went and threw out the fish fingers. Mabel climbed onto a chair and got down the flour and Dipper got a bowl as well as some milk and eggs. Mabel found the whisk and together they made pancakes. Proving they were smarter then they looked, with taking care of yourself, you have to work outside the box.

Getting two each, they sat down, Mabel with a ball of yarn, and Dipper with a magazine. Just another day for the twins. They would clean up the dishes and dry them, going about their day as if they didn't do anything at all.

By the time Dipper was 4, he had read every magazine in the house. One night, he got up some courage, and asked his father for something he really wanted.

"A book?" his father raised an eye brow, "Why a book?" he asked. Dipper frowned at him.

"To read." he told him, his father sighed.

"Why would you want to read? I mean, try sports, do something active. Why not watch some TV with your mother." it was obvious this was his answer. Other time it was too busy to get him a book, some reason he was too busy to get Mabel some arts and craft stuff.

By then the twins knew they were much different then their family. They knew that if they were to get anything in the world. They would have to do so themselves. Lucky for them, after their parents left, Dipper and Mabel found a place with books and offered kids to come and make things. It was a library with a art class for kids to take for free.

So, right after their parents left, the twins walk the 10 blocks to this place. Dipper took to the children section, and Mabel went off to join the small class of kids in the other room across. The librarian seemed rather interested that these two seemed so grown up as such a young age, but also seemed to act so childish.

Dipper was rather enjoying the books he read, while Mabel seemed to really love the creation she made. So, from then on, Dipper and Mabel became frequent visitors. No one really thought much of it, just kids who liked it here. Dipper read through one book after another. Once he finished all the children's books, he wandered around for something else. Mabel soon became a helper for the teacher and helped out the younger kids when needed.

Ms. Philip, the librarian, watched Dipper with fascination. Then gave him some valuable Library information.

"You know you could have your very own library card." Dipper looked at her in confusion, "And you could take books home. You wouldn't have to walk everyday here, you can take as many as you want." Dipper's eyes lit up.

"Yes please, Miss." Mabel often liked to see her brother so interested in things. The teacher helped her, by giving Mabel projects to do at home then come every Monday that Dipper did to teach the kids how to make it. And so, they twins started to gain an interest in things. Dipper in the unknown, and Mabel in making things. Once they had school, Dipper still went to the library. For one, he had read already everything in the school library, and Mabel for her parents wouldn't let her take art over gym.

When the ideas and things they have, it gave the twins a hopeful and comforting message.

You are not alone.

Once the twins were 12, and school was out, they were offered to stay the summer with their uncle. So, their intrastate in things grew. And then they came back, things were different. For worse and better, they were starting high-school. In the class room of Mrs. Cipher.
