Ahem, when was the last time I updated? 40 days ago apparently. Alright.

Please enjoy.

The days passed, and soon the snow began melting, leaving behind mud and sludge, but revealing the green grass and new flowers.

Spring was coming, and with it, Cybertron Academy's Galaxy Game team tryouts.

The Galaxy Games had two main components: academic, and athletic. Both components were split into five different activities, as well as one bonus.

For the athletic component this year there are: basketball, football, hockey, cheerleading, archery, and the bonus.

For the academic component this year there are: math, science, computer/technology, a spelling bee, the arts, and the bonus.

Each school collects points based upon what place they take in each activity; 4 for first place, 3 for second place, 2 for third, and 1 for last.

The school with the most points at the end of the Galaxy Games is crowned the winner.

The four Galaxy City high schools were responsible for putting together the teams for each activity, grade having almost no relevance whatsoever in the choosing process. Gender is the only real barrier for competition, but even that is only used in the athletic component for basketball alone.

With all that in mind, anyone from any grade can try out for the Galaxy Game team of their choosing. It is up entirely to the staff of each individual school to compile the best teams possible for each activity.

"Did you three get all of that?" Arcee asked after her explanation to Jack, Miko, and Raf at a faction meeting the day before the Galaxy Game team tryouts began.

They all nodded.

"Have you all made up your minds as to which activity you'll try out for?" Bulkhead spoke.

"I'll definitely be checking out the spelling bee." Jack replied.

"I'm going to check out what they have in store for the computer/technology portion. Probably the science fair too." Raf said.

Miko remained uncharacteristically quiet.

"What's the matter Miko?" Jack asked.

"…nothing's striking my fancy," she answered. "I'm no good at sports so that's out of the question. I wouldn't make it past the first round tryouts of the academic stuff."

Arcee shrugged. "Yeah, that happens to everyone. You're hoping for one thing and then it turns out it isn't included this year. I know Chromia's in the same boat. She nearly had a seizure when she realized wrestling isn't included."

"Heh, Wheeljack told me Magnus made a legit pouty face when he saw that there wasn't going to be a debate this year." Bulkhead added with a chuckle.

"Right, but at least she still has cheerleading and Magnus…uh, what is he good at again? Anyways, the point is I got nothin'. I was hoping for some kind of music related competition."

Bulkhead brought a finger to his chin.

"Well, there is the Music Bout," Arcee explained. "It's not a part of the Galaxy Games, being completely student run and all, but it is still a competition that goes on alongside the Games."

Miko's eyes lit up excitedly.

"Right," Arcee spoke trudging right by the freshmen's dilemma. "Well, just make sure you guys know what you want to do by tomorrow. Academic tryouts begin tomorrow."

"Alrighty."

"You're totally trying out for archery, right Dommie?" Chromia asked her deadpan friend as she and Elita visited her locker before they left the school.

"Huh," Dominique muttered. "Oh, yeah probably."

"Great. We'll really be needing you." Elita agreed.

Nodding, Dominique closed her locker and the three girls began walking down the hall. On their way, they were met by Airachnid.

She had been awfully quiet ever since her—ahem—encounter with Breakdown and Skyquake. Ultimately laying low ever since she became the laughing stock of the school.

However, her malicious nature hadn't changed, as she saw a familiar face.

"Hm…Dominique, is it?" Airachnid downright purred.

The usually expressionless face of Dominque Prax suddenly contorted with what could only be described as murderous intent. However, it lasted just long enough to be noticed, before returning to her normal, deadpan state of being.

"What's it to you?" the dark haired girl spoke coldly.

"Well, I haven't seen you in years. Not since…well…"

Airachnid smirked, waiting for the other girl to take the obvious bait. She could really use some cheering up right now.

"Not since I threw a chair at your head." was the response she received instead.

"Tch." Airachnid hissed, but she quickly regained her posture.

"Airachnid, right? You're the one always giving Arcee a bad time. Dommie, let's go." Elita said quietly.

Airachnid narrowed her eyes. She had to be careful now. The other two girls weren't Autobots to be trifled with. She could handle Arcee, but her two close friends were quite the force to be reckoned with in and of themselves. Especially that Elita One.

"Yes, do go on Dommie. Of course, you don't what might happen to those you know once you've turned your back." Airachnid spoke as they walked past her.

"Right, and you don't know what'll happen to you if you turn your back on me." she snapped back.

"Ah, well, I'm sure Mason enjoys both of our companies."

Airachnid felt a hand grab her shoulder and turn her around. She had expected that much. She did not expect however, that it would be Chromia.

"You'd better shut up glitch, before I pull your tongue out of your skull." she spoke.

"Carmen, let's go." Elita spoke, her voice steady, yet obviously strained. "She's not worth the effort."

Chromia huffed, reluctantly let go of the other girl and turned around to join her friends.

Just as they were about to turn the corner, Dominique turned back to Airachnid.

"I'm not a Decepticon, but I'm no Autobot either. I get that your nearly in the same boat." Dominique said quietly.

"And what does that mean?" Airachnid asked.

"It means that you should watch yourself, because while I have no faction to hold me back, you don't have one to watch yours, you insect glitch."

Y'know, I really don't like Airachnid. So tryouts are starting and tensions are high. Whatever will become of our adolescent heroes?
