Wow. A fanfiction of a web comic. Kind of a serial thing when you think about it, right?

Okay, so this is a retelling of Grim Tales MY WAY because, being me, I have my complaints.

Mandy. The way she is dressed (normally in her underwear or her 'normal gear' which has a THONG) and acts (like a slut) I... I just don't like it. I understand that she is a 'proud, confident, powerful woman' but that doesn't mean she has to be near naked 50% of the time and look like a Gothic prostitute the OTHER 50% of the time! And the fact that she had to sleep with TWO different people to have kids, THEN she slept with DAN PHANTOM and in that 'Christmas special' page she seduced FUCKING SANTA CLAUS! SERIOUSLY?! So yea, that is being toned down and she will be a slightly more loving wife and mother. Not massively, she wouldn't be Mandy without the cold bluntness and indifference. But even evil can love, and the connection between a mother and her kids is unique.

Another complaint I have, well this is a two part complaint really, is that I do not like how the plot and Minnie's characters have been going after Mimi's capture by the Grim Family. The dark war-path the story seems to be going... personally I don't think that fits the story and makes the humor feel forced with that hovering over it. And Minnie has just become a real bitch.

I also don't like how the Nargal-powers have a mind of their own, and the retconing.

'Yea, I wasn't going to eat you! I swear!'

'Minnie actual has a deep, dark evil inside her that not only was HEAVEN completely unable to see it but the AUDIENCE didn't even see it when they where ALONE with her as well as it wasn't pulled out by the seven sins when Him possessed her and it is totally not coming out of my ass!'

As you can see, I have a few complaints.

As such, there ARE a few differences between My Version and the OG version.

Most of those difference will be apparent as the story goes, HOWEVER I will give you two peaces background info I should say first.

First: Junior and Minnie ARE Grim and Mandy's kids. In the show it was stated that Grim has had a few girls and could 'show them a good time'. Plus, dark magic could give him the 'equipment' if it really is needed.

And this goes over to the second change./ Minnie's powers. She DOES still have them, however they aren't Nargal powers. Junior was aborted when he was born, but Grim was away when Mandy found out she was pregnant with Minnie and by the time Grim came home it was too late for them to have an abortion. Minnie's powers are the power over darkness, the power she has because she is a living child of death. She is basically a demon.

All other changes will appear in the story. As additional scenes and the changes here and there until I get to the real show and a completely OC story.

Grim Tales My Way

Chapter 1: This is Halloween

In a dark realm, a portal of purple and grey appeared. Out of it popped the head if a skeleton, size wise looking like the owner should be in his early twins. The skull was solid white and had a single grey eye that was in the left eye socket, except the whites where instead completely black because of the darkness of the socket. It also had a single bang off brown hair on the left side of his skull "All clear." The skull said as it pulled itself out. The body was a boy wearing black trainers, jeans, a dark grey hoodie and black fingerless gloves

Soon another figure stepped though. This one was similar in size to the skeleton, but appeared differently. It was a female with yellow hair in an upward fashion, kind of similar to devil horns, that was held down with a black headband. She had an empty eye socket where her left eye should be and had pale skin with stitches all around. And her right eye was the same grey as the was wearing a ragged and flowing purple robe that flowed down past her hands in the arms and reached just below her knees at the bottom like a dress. On her feet where black flat ballet shoes. She also had a black cape with a silver button pin. And finally, she had a small pink ribbon tied around a single bang on her forehead.

These two were Grim Junior and MiniMandy: children of the Grim Reaper, commonly called Grim, and his wife, the queen of the underworld, Mandy, who has been dubbed the 'Bitch Queen' by many of their subjects.

And there where here for one reason... NechroPollons, a rare flower that blooms far away from their fathers kingdom. Where where beautiful star shaped purple flowers with a bunch of red berries "What do you think Sis?" Grim Junior smiled as he saw his sisters amazed look and smile as she looked around the field of flowers 'I'm glad to see her smiling after... after what happened.' He thought sadly

"They are amazing my dearest brother! Just the sight of these beautiful blossoms will sooth my soul for years to come, the image burnt deep into mine memories for years to come." The girl gushed, her voice being prim and proper while also holding innocents and a true joy. Junior had long since gotten use to hearing Minnie's way of talking, but felt something was wrong. Like they were being watched. Minnie had leaned down to sniff a flower, only to be surprised as Junior suddenly grabbed her hand "Brother?"

The young reaper brought a finger to his jaw before a scythe made of living shadows appears in his hand. He span around and slashed, a small wave of black energy flying and a large beast jumping from the shadows"It seems my pray has noticed me. And quite tasty pray I might add as well." The disgusting grey skinned monster with large muscular arms and claws growled in hunger "Especially the girl, I think I shall have some fun with her before I eat her alive."

"The hell you will!" yelled Junior holding the scythe in front of him and making sure Minnie was behind him.

Minnie flushed at the thought of being taken forcefully, not from the beast 'Oh brother.' she thought with a dark blush on her grey cheeks as she pulled herself closer to Juniors body

"Please. As if you could do anything." The beast growled in amusement as he flicked Junior, causing his head to fall off and be sent flying

"Brother!" Minnie screamed as she ran up to Junior's head and picked it up, pulling it close to her chest

Junior rather enjoyed the closeness, but saw the creature heading for them. "Minnie! Look out!"

"Do not worry Mine Brother." Minnie smiled at her brothers skull before she looked at the beast with a deadpan look and said "Thou does not scare me, foul beast, for thee are high on thy own ego. Thy no be radiant of hideous. Thou are just a jester who thinks thee are mightier than reality."

"My my, what a big mouth you have deary." The creature grinned "Looks like I will have to rip it off!" he swiped at Minni only for spikes of darkness to emerge from the ground and to stab it's arm "AH! YOU BITCH!" it howled in pain as it stumbled back. It then swiped its arms, shattering the darkness as it charged, the wounds healing instantly making Minnie's eyes widen

"Aaaaaaahhhhh!" She screamed, shadows surrounding the two

"You're mine!" The beast roared, before a boot hit it's chest causing the beast to be sent flying away "Who dares?!" The creature growled as it pulled itself up

"I dare." growled a tall figure clad in a red and black outfit with a tall collar around his head which had glowing green eyes with no pupils. He also had black sharp claws and what appeared to be chains wrapped around his torso.

"Spawn!" The creature growled "Go away demon, leave the children alone."

"Hellspawn!" The creature roared "Leave! I found them first! There mine!"

"I won't let you harm them. They are under my protection!" declared Spawn not backing down.

"They are MINE! MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE!" The beast howled on rage as he lept at Spawn, bladed fingers ready. But Spawn was ready as he sent several of his chains at the demon, piercing it's stomach. And with another simple swipe of his arms he ripped the creature in half, the beast howling in pain as it died

"I could have beat that thing." Junior muttered

"If you say so." replied Spawn with doubt.

"I could to!" Junior said as Minnie reattached his head "See?" Tentacles of shadows began to appear around his boney fingers

"Why are you two children out this way? This is where some of the worst demons live." warned Spawn, feeling a bit weirded out by the tentacles but he had seen weirder and just ignored it

"My sister wanted to see the flowers." Junior said as he pointed at flowers

"You still shouldn't be out here by yourselves." replied Spawn

"Mine dearest brother and I are the children of the Grim Reaper and the Queen of Evil." Minnie replied

"I had a good idea that was true after seeing this boy's scythe." replied Spawn when he saw Junior wield the weapon. Junior chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head, the scythe fading away "Come on, I'll escort you two to safety until we reach your home." suggested the Hellspawn, ready to help them

"Thank thee kind sir." Minnie bowed as she plucked some NechroPollon and ran to her brothers side, holding his arm close to her body as the three took off towards castle GrimSkull

"So, care to tell me about yourselves?" asked Spawn to try and get rid of the silence

"Well, you know our parents." Junior shrugged "Minnie and I didn't really get along until recently."

"Really?"

"Yes." Minnie said sadly, looking at her feet as she remembered that day

"It all started three days ago..." Junior began as he started to think back...

*Flashback- three days ago*

We find Junior riding down the halls of the large castle on his skateboard. The skate-bored was solid black with a silver skull picture and silver wheels. He wasn't wearing any pads, and was racing around with a grin. He jumped into the air as he reached a corner, kicking it and making it spin in the air before he landed and raced off further. He saw his dad up ahead, so he jumped off the bored and caught it before he landed, and walked up to him.

"Hey dad! What's up?" Junior asked with a smile, absent-minded wondering how he was able to make the shoulders of his cloak look so spiky

"Junior, we're gonna be going ta a place called Halloween Town. So a want ya to go an' ge' changed for da trip." ordered Grim

"Oh, okay dad." Junior nodded with a smile and a nod

After seeing his dad walk away, he turned and headed towards his room to get ready. He quickly got inside his room, put his bored away and threw his cloths away. He then went ahead and started polishing his bones before he put on fresh cloths and brushed his hair. Satisfied with what he had, he began to leave his room, but stopped when he saw his sister Minnie enter.

She did not have the pale skin and stitches she had in three days, and she had both of her grey eyes. Her skin tone was a nice pretty pink and she was wearing red tights with a black sleeveless leotard, the same ballet shoes she wore three days later and a black cloak with a broach in the shape of their father's skull. And her hair was in a soft pop with her black headband instead of the horn-like style she wears in the future "Mine dear brother, I wanted thine opinion on my newest dress." said Minnie twirling around to show all sides

"Whatever." He muttered as he pushed past her 'Stupid show off sister. Always having to show how 'special' she is.'

Minnie was confused and reached out to grab his wrist. "What is on thine mind brother?"

"Nothing now leave me alone." He growled

"Something is troubling you brother. Please confide to me so I might help thee."

"Oh it's nothing just you!" Minnie gave him a confused look making him sigh "Think about it... show off." He glared as he stormed off

Minnie could only watch as her brother left her standing there with those last two words '... sh... show off?' She gasped mentally in shock

*an hour later*

Soon the family of four made their way to Halloween Town. Mandy had grown up a lot since she was little, and now wearing a black dress that had slits up each leg and cut around the collar-bone area. Her once blue eyes now red and her hair blonde hair was longer, reaching the middle of her back with a soft tumble. The years and puberty had done wonders to her body as well, making it look much fuller and more mature. Grim had stayed very similar, except his form seemed larger and more intimidating with his jaw looked larger and stronger with his shoulders of his cloak being like spikes. Mandy had her arms wrapped around her husbands arm, his arms clasped behind his back, while the kids walked behind them

"Hey Mom, what's Halloween Town?" Junior asked

Mandy just looked down at Junior with a blank stare "Have you ever wondered where holidays came from?" Mandy asked with a small, barely noticeable grin. She had grown up since when she had beaten Grim at that match of limbo. Yes, she was still limbo incarnate, but she had also learned that she could still feel emotion. For most people she felt contempt, but she felt other emotions for her family

"A little." replied Junior, rubbing his chin in thought

"Well, you're about to learn." Mandy grinned as she opened a door with a pumpkin on it, before pushing her kids through it "Mind your step!" Junior and Minnie found themselves a few ways away from a town and saw their parents followed them through.

The two looked back to see Grim and Mandy walk towards them from behind. Grim began to tap the base of his scythe on the ground, starting a beat. The wind itself seemed to pick up on the tune, the tune growing and gaining more unseen instruments

The town's people then appeared out of nowhere, all being some form of 'monster'. And then... they began singing...

"Boys and girls of every age,
Wouldn't you like to see something strange?" a group of ghost sang as they flew past them

"Come with us and you will see,

This our town of Halloween!" they sang again as they picked up speed, making Minnie's cape/cloak flap wildly, before they flew up high into the air

"This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Pumpkins scream in the dead of night!" a few more monsters sang as they surrounded them, making the two kids get into a small battlefield

"This is Halloween, everybody make a scene,
Trick or treat till the neighbors gonna die of fright!" Junior put his hand out, aubconsiously trying to protect his sister if there was danger
"It's our town, everybody scream,
In this town of Halloween!"

"I am the one hiding under your bed,
Teeth ground sharp and eyes glowing red!" a monster that matched the second line as it hovered over them, Minnie hiding behind her brother

"I am the one hiding under yours stairs,
Fingers like snakes and spiders in my hair!" another monster that, once again, matched the second line, grinned as it walked towards them. Junior grabbed Mjnnie's hand and took off running

"This is Halloween, this is Halloween!

Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!

In this town we call home,
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!"

That was when who they thought was the Mayor, because of the sash on his chest, walked out on to the stage and his head span around as he began to wing as well, the siblings backing away slowly "In this town, don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise!"

The siblings then took off running "Round that corner, man hiding in the trash can,
Something's waiting now to pounce, and how you'll..."

"Scream! This is Halloween!
Red 'n' black, slimy green!

Aren't you scared?"

"Well, that's just fine
Say it once, say it twice,
Take a chance and roll the dice,
Ride with the moon in the dead of night!"

"Everybody scream, everybody scream!"

"In our town of Halloween!"

"I am the clown with the tear-away face!
Here in a flash and gone without a trace!"

"I am the "who" when you call, "Who's there?"
I am the wind blowing through your hair!"

Looking up the siblings of Death saw the image of a strange being cover the yellow moon and continue singing "I am the shadow on the moon at night!
Filling your dreams to the brim with fright!"

"This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!
Halloween! Halloween!"

"Tender lumplings everywhere,
Life's no fun without a good scare!"

"That's our job, but we're not mean
In our town of Halloween!"

"In this town!"

The Mayor was basically standing over them now and looking down he grinned before singing "Don't we love it now?
Everybody's waiting for the next surprise!"

Junior flinched and grabbed his sister's hand, running quickly with her running behind him

"Skeleton Jack might catch you in the back,
And scream like a banshee,
Make you jump out of your skin,
This is Halloween, everyone scream,
Wont' ya please make way for a very special guy!"

The two siblings where now caught in a graveyard, before suddenly the ground behind them began to crack and groan aa it burst open, a figure rising

"Our man jack is King of the Pumpkin patch,
Everyone hail to the Pumpkin King now!"

The figure was a skeleton wearing a pinstripe suit, a large toothy grin spread across its face. The siblings gulped, fear in their eyes

"This is Halloween, this is Halloween,
Halloween! Halloween! Halloween! Halloween!"

The skeleton knelt down and put his hands atop the two children of Death's shoulders

"In this town we call home!
Everyone hail to the pumpkin song!"

The two children of the Grim Reaper stood there, Jack Skeleton kneeling between them with his hands on one of their shoulders, as there was a tense silence hanging in the air

"Boo." Jack stated simply"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" Junior screamed in fear "MOOOOOOOOOOM! HE'S SCARING ME! MOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!"

That was when Mandy started walking towards the group with a soft smile that was barely visible "It seems like you have finally meet your Uncle Jack."

"Uncle?" asked Minnie.

"Yes. He's ma brother mon." Grim grinned

"Oh Junior, look at how big you've gotten!" Jack grinned

"You know me?" asked Junior in surprise.

"Of course I do! Last time I saw you, you where a tiny little tot." He grinned before he turned to Minnie "And you must be MiniMandy. My aren't you a little princess."

"It is a great pleasure to meet thee, oh King of the Pumpkin." greeted Minnie as she curtseyed

"And you're just as polite as I've been told!" Jack chuckled

Junior felt his eyes twitch at the attention Minni had suddenly gotten

"So, how about we head off to the party?" Jack grinned

The family were all in agreement as they followed Jack. The town all gathered in the large town meeting room as large party began to take place. Mandy and Grim where dancing together, the couple off at the side so the others wouldn't notice. The two where doing a small dance that while Junior didn't know what it was, looked like a mix of a salsa and a waltz. 'Minnie would probably know.' he thought bitterly

Although Mandy's body had the right flow, if most people looked at her face they would think she did not care and was bored. But those who knew her saw the light sparkle in her eyes, the slight upwards turn of her and the light arching of her eyebrow. She was happy dancing with her husband

Junior glared as he sat off at the side, glaring directly at Minnie and Jack as they danced together gracefully

"Wow she's amazing!" a witch gushed

"She's as graceful as Jack is!" another nodded

"Once again, she's showing off to everybody." grumbled Junior.

"Hey kiddo." Jack's wife, Sally, smiled as she sat next to him "Are you okay?"

No Aunt Sally. I'm tired of watching my sister show off."

I see. How about we dance?" Sally suggested. Seeing how sitting here wasn't doing him any good, he accepted her offer and they made their way to the dance floor "See? That's it." She smiled "1... 2... 3... 1... 2... 3... great."

"I got something I can do." He grinned, proud of the skill that his father had taught him

"Sure. Go ahead." Sally smiled as she let go of his hands

"Okay then. Check THIS out!" Junior grinned as he began to break dance, very well actually. But it was unseen by the people of Halloween Town before

"What in the underworld is he doing?"

"What kind of dance is that?"

"I dunno."

"Looks weird."

What Junior failed to see was he was getting closer to the punch bowl "Check me out Minnie! You just got..." he began only to trip up on Minnie's shoe as he backed up "SEEEEEEEERRRVVVEEEEDDD!" He fell back, knocking over the table and sending the punch bowel fling. His head ended up in the punch bowel as the citizens of Halloween Town laughed at the sight

"I am truly sorry for mine clumsiness brother." Minnie muttered sadly as she held Junior's head in her lap, drying his skull off

"Forget it!" cried Junior as his body grabbed his head and ran out of the hall as the monsters didn't stop laughing

"Now now everyone, calm down. It's not April Fools." Jack soothed, trying to calm everyone down, meanwhile Minnie had her hands clasped in front of her as she looked at her feet sadly

At the same time, Grim and Mandy where at the snack table"Will dose two eva get along?" Grim asked as he took a bite out of a muffin

"Eventually." replied Mandy drinking some of the punch.

*meanwhile, outside*"

Stupid Minnie, always showing off, always making me look bad." Junior muttered in anger as he sat outside the hall. He had gone here to get some air and time to himself. It was then that a ghost dog flouted up to him "Hey there little fella." Junior rubbed the ghost dog's head who happily enjoyed it "Wanna play?" He grinned as he reached inside his hoodie and pulled out a rib "Go fetch!" He called, throwing his bone What he failed to see was three figures behind him with a bag. "Ah!" He screamed as he was bagged and carted away "Let me go! Let me go! You don't know who you're messin' with! Wait til my mom finds out!" shouted Junior as he was hauled away by the three figures.

Minnie came outside less than a minute later, wanting to speak to her brother. She tried walking around to see if she could spot him, but found nothing This caused her to sigh sadly as she sat on the spot where Junior had sat not that long ago "Oh brother dearest, what have I done to drive thee away for so long?"

'Think about it... show off.' His words echo in the winds to her

"Am I really a show off to mine brother?" Minnie asked herself while placing her hand on her heart. So she thought back. To every ballet recital, every muscle performance, every play, to every event she had done to try and make her big brother be proud of her and impressed with her. And she noticed something. During those events, it seemed like everyone paid more attention to her than Junior, who had even tried to play the trumpet, even if he wasn't very good at it.

She did seem like a show off!And in a way, she was. But she was showing off TO HIM. She wanted her brother to see how talented she was, how good she was. So he would feel proud for her. She was so amazed at his skills: his break-dancing, his scythe skills and his skateboarding. He was so cool!

But she couldn't skate bored, she kept falling off or messing up. She was better at traditional dance and just didn't have that... sparkle Junior had with his break dancing. And while she was talented with a sword, bow and guns her brothers scythe skills was chilling... it was like just wanted to make him happy, to make him proud of her but instead... She had been unintentional pushing him away by taking attention away from him when he deserved it.

Well, she didn't take it away, but he made him feel useless. Inferior. Weaker. And she looked selfish by shinning a light on herself while leaving Junior in the dark, her brother wanting to joining her in the then there was their Uncle Nargal, Junior's Godfather. When she was younger she remembered how the Junior and Uncle Nargal had so much fun together and she just wanted to join in, but she had made Uncle Nargal focus souly on her and what SHE wanted to do while accidentally push Junior away. He must feel like she was trying to steal his godfather! To steal everyone away! He must feel like she HATED him and therefor wanted the world to think he didn't even EXIST!

"Tis' not true! I dare not wish intentional harm upon my own brother. Please dear brother, let me tell you the truth." whispered Minnie feeling tears drip down "What have I done?" She weeped, not noticing the ghost dog trying to catch her attention for a few minutes as she just cried... unill the dog dropped the bone on her head "Ow!" She gasped as she rubbed her head, looking at the ghost dog as it barked "What is it spectral canine?" asked Minnie and noticed the bone he had dropped on her head"This is mine brothers!" She gasped as she held the rib. Now, most people would be confused on how she knew that from looking at a simple, average looking bone But Minnie had learned to recognize each of Juniors bones in another attempt to impress him. And for... personal reason "Is mine brother in trouble?" She asked the dog in worry

Zero barked and tries to indicate a direction with his nose.

"Darn it." She muttered "Looks like I have to save him." She then stood up and gasped as black energy burst from her back and just above her back. The darkness formed large, midnight black wings that looked to be made out of metal or mist as well as a tail which had a blade at the end of it

Meanwhile, we find ourselves at a strange house where the three kids from before dumped Junior out of the bag. "Let me... OUTTA HERE!" Junior yelled as he forced himself from the bag The result was his head falling off from the sudden fall "Damn it!" He growled

"Wow, nice one man." The devil boy chuckled "I'm Lock."

"I'm Shock." The witch girl introduced herself

"And I'm Barrel." The boy with green hair and carrying a plate of cookies "Nice moves by the way."

"Thanks, but why did you drag me to this place?" asked Junior.

"This is our clubhouse." Shock said

"And we where wondering if you wanted to join." Barrel asked

"Sorry about the sack by the way, old habits die hard." Lock joked

"Join? You mean like a club?" asked Junior.

"Yea." Lock nodded

"Want a cookie?" Barrel asked, offering the plate. Junior gladly grabbed one, but these cookies had teeth on them

"Careful, they bite back." Shock warned. Which they did as the cookie bit onto Junior's finger, but didn't cause pain due to him being a skeleton.

"Before you join, you will have to tell us about yourself." Lock said simply

"What do you mean?" asked Junior

"Well, what about your inheritance?" Shock suggested

"Yea, you're dads the Grim Reaper right?" Lock added

"That is wicked cool! And your mom's really hot to!" Barrel grinned, only to be waked over the head by Shock

"Well, I'm not much of a reaper like my dad." began Junior "And they do keep a lot from me..."

"Aww."

"Too bad."

"Not cool."

"BUT I do have... this!" Junior grinned as he pulled out a large black book with a skull on the cover

"What's that?" asked Shock.

"I found it in one of my dads vaults. Its a diary about his past life or something, I've been reading it for a while."

"Ooh! Read it." urged the three

"Sure." Junior grinned, before he coughed "Okay. Here we go..."

And there we go.

That's the first chapter.

Well, this was fun. Next chapter will be the flashback of Mandy and Grim getting Together... wow... a flashback in a flashback. Okay.

I shall print off all of the chapters of that fic, spell checked with a fine-toothed comb and improved, put them together, and finally I shall sign it for you.
