Hi guys, I'm back with more Buddyfight. This time its for Gao and Kiri. I just wanted to explain that this takes place perhaps during episode 44 during Gao and Kiri's buddyfight match. It's more from Kiri's perspective but in the 3rd person pov. I hope its not too confusing. I just had the sudden urge to write this. Ir's a little short but whatever. I like it.

Please remember to leave a review if you want to. I love hearing from you.

Snow fell around him. The winds blustering. And yet not once did he shiver. He chose not to notice it. It was as he is. His heart was cold. Destined for the darkness.

The snow kept falling.

He walked. Through the fields of white he treaded. His clothes felt heavy. Despite being dry his shoulders felt heavy. Resting on his shoulders was simply his school jacket. And yet it felt as if it weighed a ton.

Crunch, the sound of the snow rung in his ears as he moved. He kept his head down. He could not look up. Never look up.

'I've had my eye on him for quite some time. I want him as a part of Disaster. He was destined to hold a dark core.'

A shiver ran down his spine. His voice spoke freely in his mind, as if he were standing beside him now. Walking with him. He wrapped his arms around himself. He was not cold. Not in the slightest.

He was afraid.

Gao. He knew Gao would find out. Kiri knew that Gao was smarter than he looked. It was only a matter of time. He would discover what he's been up to. He would find him. He would try to save him.

But that doesn't mean he wants to be saved.

Kiri was now a member of Disaster. He did not see them as good nor evil. Just people with a common goal and their own prize. Kyoya just happened to be the leader.

Crack.

Kiri kept walking. He paid no mind to the things going on around him. He simply kept moving, eyes on the snow covered ground at his feet.

'Devote yourself to me and you will become strong. Stronger than you've ever imagined. All I ask is that you join me. What do you say?'

Devotion to Disaster. It was all he had left now. He no longer had his friends. No longer was the buddyfighter he used to be. He was simply the Reaper now.

'You're my friend, Kiri.'

Bright light shined through the haze of white. Kiri held a hand over his eyes. He looked up. He looked up and knew that his choice was wrong.

He was staring into the eyes of the sun.

The golden eyes of the sun staring at him. The fire that burned. That sun so bright that others must look away. But Kiri did not look away. He wanted to. He desperately wanted to.

'You don't need that dark core deck case. You're strong. You don't need it. You don't need Disaster, either.'

This time Kiri did look away. He held his arms over his face in attempts to shield the sun away. The snow continued to fall.

'You don't know anything. You don't know what it's like to lose.'

He bit his lip. He closed his eyes. He didn't want to think about this. His heart hammered in his chest.

The blizzard boy wanted to hide in the blank space of his creations. But the sun shined brighter than he could possibly imagine.

'Why are you doing this?' The blizzard boy asked.

The sun replied to him and said, 'I want my friend back.'

The sun came down on him and the blizzard boy stepped back. He kept his arms up.

'You don't have to be afraid anymore...' He moved his arms away. He looked ahead. Before him stood the sun himself. Golden eyes of its fire. The red hair of its flame. The hands on his face were warm. The warmth he craved in this frigid air.

He opened his eyes. Gao. The sun before him. Smiling at him.

'You don't need that mask anymore. Stop hiding.'

The sun gripped the blizzard boy's mask and removed it. Kiri felt his whole world fall. He looked into the eyes of the sun. His heart burned as he did. It flared.

Suddenly it wasn't so cold anymore. He was warm. The snow had stopped falling. He didn't feel so alone anymore.

He stared into the eyes of the sun, and the sun left him paralyzed.
