Princess Sofia was in her room in the castle looking back at the past week where Prince Hugo (substituting for her brother James) had won the Flying Derby for their school Royal Prep. Hugo may have been an arrogant jerk to her when they were competing in the tryouts for the team but in preparation for the Championships and in the actual race he had managed to prove himself a team player. "When I needed him to Hugo really pulled through." Sofia mused to herself "I wonder if he will become nicer from now on..."

Sofia noticed the Amulet of Avalor glowing and knew it must be another princess coming to talk to her, suddenly she was facing a brown haired woman wearing a light purple royal dress and tiara who Sofia thought that she looked a little like her mother Queen Miranda but she was not able to tell what princess this could be. "It has been long since I was this small." The woman laughed and Sofia gasped as an idea formed in her head. As if knowing what she was thinking the woman said "Yes Sofia, I am you in the future. The Amulet brings about the princesses of the past, present and future even if it is a different version of the Princess who is wearing it."

"Really so I will be you?" Sofia asked excitedly and the older Sofia nodded, "the Amulet sensed you were wondering about the future so it summoned me to talk to you." The older Sofia explained. "So Hugo; is he nicer now or did he go back to being mean?" Sofia asked hoping the answer was that he was nicer. The older Sofia laughed and said "he definitely had learned his lesson about being arrogant and mean, he very much is a very nice man now and one that I was very happy to get to know." Sofia smiled as she asked "so Hugo and I will be friends then?"

Sofia looked confused as her older self laughed again, "Oh we will be friends alright and much more." The older Sofia answered and Sofia noticed a bracelet on the left wrist of her future self that seemed to be made of gold and dark blue jewels. "Oh yes this, I remember the day I got it." The older Sofia said showing her younger self the bracelet "Hugo gave it to me when we had our first date." Sofia looked in awe at the bracelet and suddenly her face froze as she just realised what her older self had just said, "Sorry I had to drop that big pointer on the future of Hugo and yours friendship like that." The older self Sofia said with a wink "well I had better go now, Amber wants me to go with her to pick out my wedding dress." The older Sofia said with another wink as she then disappeared leaving Sofia to comprehend what her future self had just told her.

The next day Sofia was in her class at Royal Prep and was still thinking about what had happened the day before, "Well Hugo does look like he will be nicer and he does look kind of cute..." Sofia pondered looking at Hugo's direction but then faced the backboard so she can concentrate on the problem that had been written on it.

In the future when the Royal Prep students would be close, Princess Amber was waiting outside her sister Sofia's door waiting for her sister to come out so they could start looking for something to wear on her wedding. This would be the most important day of Sofia's life and Amber knew it was her duty to make sure that on that day Sofia would be looking her best. Just when Amber was getting impatient Sofia exited through the door. "One more minute and I would have barged in and got you myself." Amber told Sofia who gave out a chuckle.

"Sorry about that Amber but I needed to do something first, I am ready now." Sofia told amber as she followed her sister. "Good thing too, have you ever thought about what you future will be like?" Amber asked sounding a little excited at Sofia's new future. "I might have given a thought to it." Sofia responded with a bit of a laugh.

Yeah when I first saw Just One of the Princes, I did not really like Hugo but after the Flying Derby I think he might not be all bad. My second Sofia the First story and I hope one day to somehow write a crossover with a game series I have become a big fan of thanks to the HD remixes on the PS3: Kingdom Hearts (I have DS games and Dream Drop Distance but I had not become a big fan before playing the HD remixes).
