Warning: Bullying, Sad Stuff, Violence, Fluff
A/N:
Guys this is the end of my very first fan fic! Sorry I'm a loser and took forever though! But hey, I love y'all so much which is why I'm writing at 1:00 AM instead of sleeping because I have to work tomorrow! I tried to make this longer also due to a request, though I don't really know if it's any longer. I'm still just learning and improving my writing write now though, so it will get better over time!
Also, it took me FOREVER to decide how I wanted to end this. Hope you guys are as satisfied as I am with it!
That morning, Tess woke up to her brothers scrambling around the motel room. She sat up and watched as they packed all of their stuff into their suit cases.
"Hey Squirt, time for school." She looked over at Dean as he spoke to her and, her eyes widened.
"Dean no! Please don't make me!" She grabbed his sleeve and looked up at him from her bed.
"Hey, don't worry, we'll take care of it. You just have to survive one more day alright? Remember what I told you?" Sam asked as he sat beside her.
She sighed and nodded. "Yea...always keep fighting..." she mumbled.
Sam grinned and said, "Yea, because nobody gets the best of a Winchester!" Tess couldn't help but smile at her brother as he put an arm around her.
"Yea yea yea I know." She gently nudged him in the shoulder.
"Alright come on, go get dressed Squirt." Dean took her hands and pulled her up. She quickly picked up a tank top, one of Dean's shirts, and a pair of jeans and went into the bathroom.
Looking in the mirror didn't hurt so much somehow. Sure the bruises were ugly, but she didn't care. She had let her brothers back in. Smiling at the thought, Tess started to get ready. Though she didn't care if her brothers saw the bruises, she still needed to cover them up for school. School. School was going to be...interesting to say the least. She would just have to focus on getting through the day. After all, Sam had said she only had to go one more day.
"Tessie? You ready?" Dean's voice pulled her from her thoughts and back into the real world.
"Yea! Coming!"
She quickly threw her hair up in a pony tail and walked out of the bathroom.
"Here, have some breakfast." Sam handed her a plate of fruit and a bowl of granola cereal. She smiled at him. This is what she loved most about her brothers, how much they cared for her and strive to make her happy.
"Thanks Sammy."
"Alright come on now and eat! You're going to be late!" Dean scolded her. She rolled her eyes.
"Yes boss." Now it was Dean's turn for the eye rolling, but that definitely didn't mean he wasn't glad to have his old Tessie back.
The dreaded moment had arrived. School. The Impala cruised up in front of the doors just as Dean glanced back at Tessie.
"Alright Squirt. I'll see you after school okay?" She smiled and nodded at him. Tess could tell Dean was only sending her to school because he had to. Besides, she had a feeling that things wouldn't be so bad today now that Sam knew about her "friends."
Sam came around and opened the Impala door for her. Just one more day. Get through this one last day and you will never have to see anyone here ever again... Tess thought to herself. She could do this. She was determined. Hell if she was going to let a few pricks get the best of her.
Sam walked with her until they got to her locker.
"Hey, I'm coming to your lunch today alright?" She nodded. Hopefully this day would go quickly and she could be back in the comfort of the Impala with two of her three favorite people in the world.
"You'll be fine okay? Love you," he kissed her head, ruffled her hair, and walked up the stairs to where his locker was. Sighing, Tess grabbed her books and quickly headed to class, trying to avoid any interaction.
Tess was quick to get to lunch for the first time in a long time. Before she had dread this part of the day, but today Sam was going to be there. She went to her normal spot under the tree and sat, patiently waiting, but she was starting to get anxious. Where was Sam? Just as she thought that, she saw a familiar person approach her. Alone.
"Hey look! The freaks back for more!" He bent down and grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him, but she kept here eyes downcast.
"Haven't had enough yet have you freak?" He looked at her with a new kind of hunger she had never seen in his eyes.
"Freaks that don't listen have to pay a price sweetheart." Sporting a wicked grin, the varsity football player gripped her wrist and forced her up.
"Is there a problem?" A wave of relief washed over Tess when she heard Sam's voice. The feeling was so intense it literally made her whole body quiver.
The athlete looked over at Sam, his eyes filled with anger at being interrupted. He dropped his hands from Tess and she quickly backed away until she was against the tree.
"No." He said to Sam.
"Good. Then I think maybe you should go." Sam's expression was terrifying to say the least. She would probably be afraid to go near him had he not been her older brother. His face was twisted with anger towards his classmate in front of him. The other kid scoffed and walked away, but not without flashing a wild grin back to Tess that made her flinch.
Once he had walked away, Sam had moved to Tess in one stride. He gently cupped her face in his hands as his eyes grazed over her for any sign of injury.
"Are you alright?" His voice was filled with concern only a big brother can manage. She nodded.
"Did he-" Tess shook her head. He didn't need to finish his sentence before she knew what he was asking. But had he taken any longer, her answer may have been different.
"Good. But I'm going to kill him anyway," Sam practically growled. "Not now, but soon." She couldn't help but smile at that.
"I know you will, but can we just enjoy the rest of the lunch period together for now?" Now was Sam's turn to smile.
"Yea. Yea Tessie we can do that." He sat in the grass and she sat across from him, leaning against the tree. God was she happy to have Sam.
The rest of the day wasn't too terrible, probably due to the fact that she pretty much avoided any and all social interaction. When the end of the day did come, it was such a relief. Never had she moved more quickly out of that horrid building, and, just as promised, there was Dean siting in the Impala. She hurried over and opened the back door sliding in.
"Hey Squirt! School any better?" She shrugged.
"Would have been worse without Sammy..." She said just as Sam neared the car. The moment Dean saw him, he got out of the car.
"What are you doing?" Tess asked her brothers.
"Taking care of it." Dean stated, referring to their conversation that morning. Dean locked the car and Tess just watched as her brothers walked towards the football field.
They were going to kill him. Well, not really. If he were dead he wouldn't suffer. He was going to wish he were dead though when the brothers were done with him. Messing with their little sister didn't come without consequences you see.
Right before they got to the football field, Sam spotted their victim.
"It's him." Sam pointed to inform Dean. Dean was enraged already, but seeing the kids smug little face was what tipped the boulder. Sam had filled him in on the events of the day on their way to the field so Dean was more than ready to teach this kid a lesson.
When they were close to the football player, Sam yelled for him.
"Hey!" He turned around, stopping and looking at the brothers. When they had reached him, the brothers wasted no time jumping into action. Sam went around him and held his arms while Dean delivered a punch right in his nose.
"You think it's fun to mess with little girls? Huh? Do you think you get to lay a finger on my little sister? Well I'll tell you what, you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into." Dean brought his knee up to the boy's stomach, causing him to double over in pain. Dean then took over for Sam so he could have his turn.
"You see, we kill anything that touches our sister, but you? Oh no. You don't get the satisfaction of a quick death. Sammy here is going to beat you almost dead, but you'll be alive enough to feel every second of it. Dean growled into his ear from behind causing the punk to whimper. Sam smirked. Hearing a sound like that from anyone who dared hurt their sister gave him satisfaction.
Sam had to stop after a few more punches, for if he threw anymore, he would kill the kid.
"Have you learned your lesson?" Sam growled. The kid just lay in a heap on the ground after Dean dropped him. He was a mess, bleeding and sobbing on the ground.
"I said have you learned your lesson?!" Sam roared with all of the anger he could muster.
"Yes!" The pathetic boy cried.
Dean kicked the football player's head and spat on him. "What a loser. You aren't even worth my time." Dean walked the other way, back towards the front of the school where the Impala was parked with Sam close behind.
Tess had grown impatient and anxious in her time alone from the boys. She kept a watchful eye toward where the stadium would be, though she wouldn't be able to see the boys until they rounded the corner of the school. Just when she was about to give up waiting and get out to check on them, she saw them walk around the school.
Dean pulled out the keys and unlocked the Impala. But before they could get close enough to get in, Tess had jumped out and ran over to them.
"De!" When she reached them, she jumped onto Dean and wrapped her legs around his waist, much like she had done as a child. Dean returned the hug and rubbed her back.
"Hey Squirt." She let go of him and he set her down. Next up was Sam. She wrapped her arms around him and had to go on her toes to reach him. He gave her the bear hug he reserved only for Tess. She pulled away and looked up at her two brothers.
"So, did you kill him?"
"Much worse Tessie. We left him in a hep of his own tears and self pity. And a little blood too." Dean resumed his walk to the Impala.
"Now who's up for pie?"
