Skyfall 007: Mission Start –RELOADED-

Chapter I: Mission Start

Hey guys, I deeply apologize for the extremely long wait for the first chapter to kick off this reboot. I was dealing with my cousin's leftover work so I can help him finish his dreams and goals with his so-called 'project'. Appreciate the effort he put into it…

But anyway, here's the moment you all have been waiting for! Time to kick this one off with a bang!

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Leon groaned as he slowly woke up, hand shooting out from under his sheets and hitting his loud alarm clock. The ear-breaking noise was then silenced as swift as the agent's reflexes, shutting down until its designated time tomorrow. Looking up at the ceiling of his room, he rested his hand underneath his head as he raised his other arm to reach for the roof.

"Two months, huh…? Just to get an injury this painful…" He flexed his fingers in his extended arm. The movements in each bone in his digits felt mechanical and rusted after last night's operation.

After having enough of staring at his arm, he lowered it and got up from bed. 5:25, huh? Guess I can cut in some training. Swinging his legs out of bed, he immediately went to the bathroom and attained his daily routine. Which was obviously going to the bathroom, brushing his teeth, change clothes and go downstairs for another day at Hyrule High. Once he dressed in his signature black Harrington jacket and pants, Leon went to his desk and picked up his gun resting next to his phone.

The Wolfram P2K — he codename MI6 gave the Walther P99 clone known as a Smith Wesson SW99 — the first firearm he was issued with by the Double-0 Sector since he was enlisted six years ago. Yes, you heard that right; he was enlisted by MI6 at age twelve. All because of his father, the elite agent of MI6, James Bond. Both he and his brother Sora were enlisted on their 12th birthday, quite young for enlisting but it was their dream. Or rather, his dream.

When he was young, Leon had seen the James Bond films and dreamed of being a secret agent just like the character in the movies who had the same name as his father. And it all came true. But despite his wish coming true, there were unfortunate roadblocks throughout those four years; out of those including the death of his father a few months ago.

Whilst he was lamenting the death of his father he unloaded the P2K, checking how much ammunition was in the magazine after last night's operation. It was empty. Not like I'm going to use it later today… He opened one of his desk's drawers. Inside was a multitude of ammunition clips for the semiautomatic, and he plucked one of them out. Leon pulled the slide back as he slammed in the fresh magazine, forcing the slide to return to its original state.

But among his drawer full of P2K clips was a folded up piece of paper. It caught his attention like him finding a rare gem as he took it out and unfolded it.

It was a will.

From his father.

The final will and testament of the deceased, James Bond,

In the event that my death should occur, I hereby declare that all worldly possessions of the Bond family name and my own be passed on to my two sons, Link Leonardo and Sora Andrew Bond. Leon, Sora, I completely understand that you two will be the last representatives of the Bond family when I'm gone, but do not fret. I know you two have the strength to carry on such a family name that has left a mark in England's history as the descendants of our many times great grandfather Alexander Bond, the savior of our country millennia ago and crowned knight of Her Majesty. Do not be frivolous with this wealth I am passing on to you; do not spend it on fast cars, or outrageous clothes. And as MI6's best agent, I hereby declare that my title as '007' be passed on to my sons to continue the Bond family's military history.

I know there will be many great obstacles that you two will have to face, and just when it seems that you cannot surpass those challenges remember who you're fighting for and why you are fighting. Protect the ones you love; the ones who truly matter in your lives. They are your greatest strength as well as each other. I fought not only for our country, but also the both of you and your mother. Now, it is time you fight for England, the world and your loved ones.

In death, your family, mother and I will love the both of you forever.

Your father,

James.

I promise, father. Leon held back the tears that were about to water his eyes and he tucked the P2K and his phone—a Sony Xperia T—away in his holster hidden in his belt and pocket and left his room, the will still on his desk. As he left his room in the estate and made his way down the stairs, he was greeted by the caretaker of the estate and their father figure Alfred.

"Morning, Master Leon." The caretaker bowed his head.

"Morning Alfred. How are you today?"

"Fit as a fiddle, sir. I trust you are feeling well from that rather absurd mission last night?"

"Just a little shaken up from the bomb. Who'd thought the previous mayor would do a thing like that?" He rolled his right arm.

"Well, I was frankly surprised that Irons was able to procure a bomb of that kind. I assume he had sources to that type of equipment."

"Well, he's locked up now. Why are we even bothering with talking about him anyway?" Sora called out from the top of the stairs as he too came down from the stairs, arms behind his head.

"It was morning chat, Sora. I got nothing better to talk about this morning." The brothers met face-to-face, both of them earning the other's signature lookLeon's a look of disapproval and Sora's of 'eh, don't care'.

"Shall I prepare coffee for the both of you?"

"Of course Alfred. Our usual coffee."

"Of course, sir." Alfred walked away, leaving the brothers in the lobby of their home. Just as soon as the caretaker rounded the corner away from their sight, Leon whacked the back of his brother's head.

"Oi! What was that for?!"

"What do you think?! No wonder no one in MI6 wants to partner with you: your mouth and carelessness always screws up one vital part of the mission!"

"What?! I changed!"

"Yeah, but not enough for anyone to actually partner with you!"

"Says the one who's been in a lot more shit than I've been in!" That was the final straw. His anger — more or less irritation — couldn't be kept in check with his carefree twin brother and just stormed away from the scene, resisting the urge to pull out his P2K and shoot him at his feet. Gods damn it, why do I have this idiot for a brother? And more importantly, why an assignment this personal? What's the deal here?

After two minutes, Alfred came out with the brothers' coffee on a tray, Link grabbing his first as he went to the garage. Sora took his as well but stayed with the caretaker.

"Alfred, how long do you think Leo's gonna get out of his 'pissed off at me for saying things to him' state?"

"Well, seeing as master Leon has been through multiple traumatic situations in his career, I would presume some time to recollect his thoughts would suffice."

"I guess you're right. See you later Alfred." Sora followed after his brother to the garage leaving the butler-like caretaker of the two to the estate as they would always when they have to go to school.

As soon as Sora got to the garage he saw that the doors were opened, revealing the collection of cars his father obtained over the years from an Aston-Martin DB5, a BMW 750iL and Z8 to a '77 Lotus Esprit. All of them were in sheets to protect them from dust and to keep them in pristine order except for one. The sheet covering it was cast to the side, revealing a silver-gray 2002 Aston-Martin Vanquish. And in the driver's seat was his brother who already started the car.

"Get in." Sora listened and got in the car with his brother.

"Bro, sorry for adding salt to your wounds. I know you still haven't recovered from everything a few months ago and all"

"Don't. That was the price I had to pay. You don't need to worry about my health."

"So that's it. You're putting all of the weight on yourself because of that. Because you were tricked into thinking I actually died."

"I can handle the weight. I'm a lot like dad now, not the Leo you knew," he looked down and tightened his fist. "I swore to protect everyone that matters in my life. I didn't think of it before but now I do. I don't care if I die first, I'll always put others above me. Even her."

He revved the Vanquish's engine, hearing its majestic roar like it was the first time he drove the car. Considering that he was the only one of the two that can drive with a license, he pulled out of the garage as he drove out of the garage and towards school.

Three buildings, organized in a triangular pattern; two of them at least three and a half stories where the last one was the cafeteria. Twelve floors, five classrooms on each floor, state-of-the-art computers and high grade curriculum and teachers to be grateful for. Yes, Hyrule High School was the greatest high school in the city. Being such a school, it was almost considered as a private school for the public.

Students of the school were all over the school's main entrance, talking about what happened yesterday and in the news this morning. Many of them were talking about the kidnapping of both the mayor's daughters right in front of the school, and the rest of them focused on how they were able to be here in school despite the turn of events yesterday.

Sitting on a bench far away from the chatting students but in the main entrance of the school were two Year 12 students, engaging in conversation. Both of them were gracefully beautiful, one with the most beautiful of flaxen hair and the other with crimson hair.

"Sis, don't you think that everything last night was all a dream?" asked the redhead, clearly disbelieving everything that night. "There's no way a 'space marine' would've rescued us."

"No, Kairi; it was all real. The evidence to it all is everyone talking about it. So no, our rescue was not a dream." Zelda argued, facing her sister.

"Just because you were talking to your savior doesn't mean you're not awake when that happened."

"Then explain why the old hotel in the outskirts of London was found like it suffered a demolition explosion. That's proof enough that our rescue wasn't a dream."

Just before Kairi got the chance to talk, they were interrupted by the sound of an engine breaking the chatter made by the students talking about the recent turn of events. Everyone stopped talking and turned their heads towards the school parking lot, including the Dawes sisters.

Entering the school grounds was a silver Aston-Martin V12 Vanquish, the majestic bodywork of the decade old car making its proud return after its five year absence with one of the earlier models. And the James Bond fans among the crowd of students immediately recognized the car by the Bond film it starred in a decade ago.

The sisters stood up from the bench and joined the crowd in watching as the rare Aston-Martin parked in the lot. Just as the car was shut off, the doors of the car opened and out came the Vanquish's passengers.

Somehow, it was unsurprising to the daughters of Mayor Dawes on who would be able to own such a car, but the complete opposite for the other students.

Because the driver and passenger of the Vanquish was none other than the Bond brothers, Link and Sora. The sons of the late James Bond and childhood friends of Kairi and Zelda Dawes.

Soon enough, the Vanquish was swarmed by the students that admired either the car or the brothers, boxing in the twins and drowning them in a crowd. Many were taking pictures of the car on their phones and others were trying to talk to the brothers. While it may have seemed unintentional for the car to gain sudden attention, it's problems were just beginning.

"Well, this didn't go exactly how you planned it, did it, Leon?" Sora joked, noting the situation and watching his brother have to deal with his side of the attention until Sora faced his.

"Maybe so, but this is what we have to deal with since we're some of the popular students here."

Both brothers heard the chiming of a bell breaking out, despite the clamor made by the swarm of students about them and the car. Both of them looked at each other and knew that the bell was the warning bell, meaning that they only have at least ten minutes to get into the campus and in their home room before they were considered late. And knowing the reputation of the brothers, they were never late to class. Not even once.

"Just had to bring the Vanquish for today, didn't you?"

"I was getting a little bored of using either the Z3 or Z8, so what?"

"Well, looks like we're gonna drown in this sea, Leo!" Joked Sora, taking advantage of the situation right now and turning it into a joke.

"Yeah? Drown without me!" He dryly played along as he started to find his way out of the crowd, turning back occasionally to see Sora flailing his arms around like he was actually drowning. Luckily, the Vanquish was upgraded with a remote control in his Xperia and not an actual key to open the lock and start the car.

"What in the name of the Gods is going on here?!"

Leon stopped dead in his tracks and saw the principal of Hyrule High, Principal Gaepora, making his way towards the crowd surrounding the Vanquish. "Get out of the way!" Hearing Gaepora yelling like that hurt the young MI6 agent's ears badly, and the students surrounding the Aston-Martin cleared out of the way, unveiling the vehicle. Even if he was battle-hardened, he gulped internally, hoping that the Vanquish wasn't going to be banned.

The principal circled around the decade old car, taking only one lap around it and inspecting it before facing his students. "Whose car does this belong to?"

Before the other students would dare say that the car belongs to either one of them, Leon stepped forward and faced his principal. "I own the car, headmaster."

The headmaster of the high school looked at his student in the eye. "You own this, Bond?"

"Yes sir. It was a part of the will left from my father after he passed away."

"A parting gift of sorts, eh?" Gaepora took one last look at the parked Aston-Martin before walking towards the eldest son and placing a hand on his shoulder. "I figured your father would do something like this. You know as well as I do that your father and I knew each other back in the day."

"I understand, sir." He motioned his brother to get a move on and Sora nodded, following his brother and making their way towards the campus. Just as the brothers set foot on the first steps, they heard the headmaster speaking to the students huddled around the Aston-Martin and soon, they all dispersed away from the car and followed after the brothers a few minutes later.

Just as Link put his hand on the door leading to the main campus, his vision became obscured by a pair of hands followed by a sweet voice saying, "Just had to show how fancy you had to be, huh?"

"It's nice to see you too, Zel." He took her hands off his eyes and faced his childhood friend, faintly smiling. Avoiding the suspicions that could link him to being the 'space marine' she was rescued by, he dropped the smile. "…I'm sorry I wasn't there. I thought I had enough time to stop him, but I"

"Enough," she put a finger on his lips, effectively shutting him up in both a concerned and teasing manner as she tilted her head to the side and gave a reassuring smile. "I knew how much you wanted to be there for me yesterday, but I didn't want to risk you being in another accident. So in retrospect, it's me that should be sorry."

"C'mon Zel, that was only one time. So what if I took a lot of rubble collapsing on me? I was still kicking just hours later."

"That's because you have an accelerated healing process!"

While the two blondes were having another of their playful banters once again, both of their siblings watched as they followed after them. Sora stuffed his hands in his pockets and glanced over at Kairi.

"You okay, Kai?"

"I'm okay, thanks for asking," said Kairi, enjoying every second of the conversation between Link and Zelda. "But really, I don't know if last night was real or not. It felt like it was, but the conflicting evidence is a so-called 'space marine' rescuing Zel and I."

"Look at the bright side, you're here. Not at home or in that abandoned hotel out in the outskirts of London."

"I guess you're right. It's better to be here rather than at home."

"Even if you run the risk of being kidnapped again?"

"It's a risk I'll have to take." Kairi continued to walk down the hall with Sora and their twins still talking to each other.

What could possibly go wrong?
