Just a little story for my OTP! hope you enjoy :)

He just came out of nowhere, a maniac with a gun, nobody saw him enter the alley, and then BAM.

He shot her leg and she screamed in pain,

Kate Beckett fell hard on the concrete sidewalk

Her instincts kicked in and she called for Espo, he was the one canvasing with her, it was usually Ryan with Espo but today he called in sick so she had to cover for him.

Esposito came in an instant and pinned the guy to the ground and cuffed him.

"You okay Beckett? I heard the shot and than you screamed"

"Yeah i'm fine just a bullet, nothing new.." she said sarcastically

He could see the pain on her face, he also knew that she was great at hiding her emotions so he asked

"Rate your pain from 1 to 10"

The suspect was trying to move but Espo just slammed him to the ground once again and than repeated his question

"About a 4 or 4.5 "

He knew she was lying to him so he grabbed his phone and called an ambulance for her

"This is detective Esposito of the 12th precinct I need an ambulance.."

She rolled her eyes and said "No ambulance, I can walk to the car and you can drop me off at the hospital on your way back to the prec-"

He sushed her loudly and thanked the man on the phone

"Too late, they're are on the way"

As he lead their suspect to his car she pulled her phone out and texted Castle

'Hows the tour going?' - she didn't want him to freak out about the situation, she just needed im to talk to her and make her forget about the bloody leg that her was holding and applying pressure to.

He texted back 'No fun without my wife, you should've come and kept me company'

She smiled to herself 'No way! Torturing you is way more amusing'

They talked for a bit longer and he asked 'So glad the tour is ending in a week I miss you so much!'

Just as she sent her response she heard the sirens of the ambulance and texted Castle quickly 'Me too, but I got to go, talk to you soon babe'

She closed her phone as the ambulance stopped in the opening of the alley

The EMT jumped out of the back and pulled out a gurney while Espo was helping her up

"Do not tell Castle. I don't want him to jump a plane all the way from LA just because of a bruise.."

He shot her a death glare and said "You kidding Beckett, you just got shot! He deserves to know!"

"I'll tell him later, not a big deal"

The EMT and Espo helped her on to a gurney and pulled her up into the ambulance

"Just don't tell him until I do" She told Espo and he just rolled his eyes and nodded

The doors were closed and the ambulance started it's rout to the hospital and Espostio was in his car driving to the precinct with the suspect

He called Lanie and said "Lain go to St. Jhons Hospital, Beckett got shot and she needs you in there, she's not tellin' Castle anytime soon so she needs someone"

Lanie was half way out the door when they hung up and he just got to the precinct.

This was going to be a hell of a week
