Hi guys, Dia here, don't worry, I'm not giving up on Deck of Cards, just thought of a new story and I want to write it before I forgot about the plot! Oh and the company names, I made it up, yeah I'm just bored out of my mind to do that right? So please enjoy this story and I'm out!

Chapter: Promise

"Now Mr. Kagamine and Mrs. Kagamine, you are fully aware of the responsibilities of taking care of Rin, yes?" The lady said smiling while she quickly scribble some words down on the clipboard. A little blonde girl wearing a white sundress stands next to her and plays with the lady's drill twintails. In front of the lady's desk, there sat two rich couples, Mr and Mrs. Kagamine along with their precious son, Len Kagamine.

"We would do anything to keep Len happy, isn't that right Leon?" or Lily asked him and Leon nod patting Len's head softly. But Len's four year old eyes kept looking at Rin, his skyblue eyes examines her aqua blue eyes. Rin smiled and wave her hand at him making a small tint of blush appear on his face.

"That's right!" Leon laughed heartily and sign his name at the bottom on the adoption paper. "If I can't make my son happy, I wouldn't be known as the president of the Fragrance for nothing right?" He pushed the paper to the lady who scan through his signature before nodding her head and stand up holding Rin's hand.

"I guess you're all ready now , Rin-chan is all yours." The lady smiled at Rin who did nothing but kept smiling at Len making him blush even more. Rin grabbed her suitcase and slowly walked toward eyeing her suspiciously but she just smile warmly at her.

"It's nice to meet you." Rin smiled and bow deep but was then stopped by the warm hands of Lily.

"Mom, call me mom Rin-chan." Lily corrected and took Rin's suitcase and grab her hand ever so warmly. As the family walk out the door Rin never forgot to take a look at Len, her new master. She knew, she knew she never was meant to be loved, she was meant for chores, to give her new master love.

Len's POV

I watch as my new 'sister' look around my room, which is now also her room. I don't know if I made the right choice, all I wanted was a friend, not a servant or anything like that. Rin, I think that was her name puts her suitcase next to her bed and jumps onto the big bed. Her big blue eyes widen and a smile cracks on her cute face while she jumps on the bed. So innocent, so cute.

"M-Mommy would yell at you if you jump on the bed." I said lowly and tried to convince Rin down. I don't want mom to yell at Rin, after all, I was the one who wanted a friend.

"Nuh uh! Mom won't yell at me if she doesn't know!" Rin laughed jumping up and down making different poses. I giggled and climb up on the bed with her, lift my feet, ready, and jump! The bed is really soft, and it's huge too! But mommy never let me have fun saying I'm the heir to daddy's company, so mommy would make me study and study everyday.

"This is so fun!" I yelled laughing, whenever I jump up, Rin is always at the bottom just like those cartoons I watch without mommy knowing.

"You never did this before?!" She asked me or yelled at me while she bounces toward me, the big white bow on her head makes her look like a rabbit so I laugh and shook my head no.

"Mommy said I can't have fun!" I shouted back to her and land back down on the comfy bed. Right, this is what I've been missing for a long time, fun. I watch as Rin pouts and stop jumping sitting on her bed.

"What?! Then what do you do normally?" She asked jumping off the bed but I continue my jumping, it's really hard to not to jump, after all that's what beds are for right?

"Mommy always told me to study so I can take over dad's place one day." I really don't want to care about being the heir of the Kagamines, all I want to do now is have fun with Rin. She is the one that taught me about fun after all.

"What?! But you're only like four! Wait, so am I." Rin laughed at her own foolishness made the blush come back to my face again. It's true mommy always put pressure on me, that's why children didn't seem to like me, they say I don't think like a normal four year old.

Just by the thought of being alone forever makes me stop jumping and slump on Rin's bed. I look to see Rin's confused eyes scan mine and crawl next to me petting my hair, I still couldn't believe she's older than me even though I can tell I'm only a little taller.

"What's wrong Lenny?" Great, the first day she came and now she had a nickname for me. I tried to open my mouth but no words came out so I close them again but opens them again, until I heard Rin giggling. Her laughter sounds like bells, for some reasons I want to hear them again, I like the sound of it. " You look like a fish!" She would laugh and point at me.

"I'm scared, I don't want to be alone, I don't want to be different." I cried and roll myself into a little ball in the corner of her bed. I sat there alone for sometime until I felt a weight pressing against the soft mattress.

A warm hand brushes against my hair softly but I still keep my head in her knees knowing there is no one else but Rin here. "It's alright Len-kun, you'll never be alone. I'll be by your side forever!" She said hugging me and forcing me out of my position.

"But I'm different, no one wants to play with me." I whispered and a few drops of tears roll down my cheeks. Forcing my chubby hands to wipe the tears away, I choked out a few whimpers and shut my eyes close.

"I will protect you Len-kun! I'll always be by your side!" She said happily and wipe the tear drops from my cheek that somehow brought a small smile to my face.

"Pinky promise?" I asked holding out my pinky to her.

"Pinky promise." She said intertwining her pinky to mine with her same cute smile that brought out a big smile to mine. I knew it, I knew picking Rin was the right choice for me.

"Mommy, how come I can never have fun like my friends?" I asked mom while we sat on the big white sofa and she is sipping her tea while daddy across us is reading his newspaper.

"Len-kun, we are very different unlike your friends." Mommy answer and brush her long shiny blonde hair behind her ear. Unlike all of my friends' moms, mommy has a beautiful and slim hand showing how graceful and peaceful life mommy lives in.

"Mommy's right Lenny, we have a responsibility to carry, we have no time for fun." Daddy said putting down his newspaper and gave me a little smile. I can't see any warmth in it, I can't seem to tell if he meant the smile for me.

"But daddy, my friends always say I'm too serious." I said questioning and hope for an answer in daddy's eyes.

"Len-kun, we're the Kagamines, we have a company that counts on us. As the heir to Fragrance, we have no choice but to work and be serious." He said and his blue eyes turn dark and his tone turned serious. I turned my head to see mommy nod her head and sip her tea lightly. Heir, that dreaded word, why? How come just because that word seems to separate me and my friends? I wonder what is it like to be a normal boy with a normal family.

"But all of my friends have siblings to play with, how come I never get a sibling?" I asked my mom and I watched her face turned a little red but shake her head making the red tint fade away and brush my hair lightly. She looked at daddy for a moment and daddy nod his head making mommy smile and look at me again.

"Len-kun, do you really want a sibling?" She asked and I looked in her eyes as if she's god. Is mommy really going to give me a sibling? I can really have one?!

"Yes! I really want a sibling!" I said with all the courage I got and I can feel a patch of heat raising up to my cheeks. Mommy smiled and hugged me before giving me a kiss on the forehead.

"Listen up Len-kun, daddy and I have decided to get you a sibling at the orphanage." She said and I started smiling. For real?! Even though I wouldn't get a blood related, but atleast I know I can get company.

"On one condition." Daddy started and stood up and started walking to me and mommy. "Len, if we give you a sibling, you must promise to study hard" He said sternly and look into my eyes. I nod, but does that mean I still couldn't have fun with my new sibling?

"Does that mean I can't have fun with my new sibling daddy?" I asked carefully and watch as mommy stopped daddy from talking.

"Of course you can have fun, but not too much Len-kun" She said sweetly and hug me again. Fun, just by the word makes me so excited already, now I couldn't wait to see my new sibling, would it be a brother or a sister, for some reason, I think getting a sister would be a good idea.

The next day mommy and daddy brought me to the orphanage to pick out a sibling, I was very nervous at first, this place seems to be very friendly and nice. The inside was very warm, I heard lots of laughter, their laughters are very sweet, I really want to sound like them too, but I really can't.

"Hello, how may I help you?" A lady asked us sweetly making me look up, the lady has hot pink twin drills and she wore a red dress, not to mention the sweet scent of bread that flows into my nose whenever she comes near us.

"Oh, our son here would like to have a sibling" Daddy said politely and I watch the nice lady smile at me. She walk over to me and bend down to my height before speaking to me nicely like she's very familiar to me.

"Hello there, what's your name?"

"Len Kagamine miss" I think she was very surprised when she heard my voice. Every person was like that when they heard me speak, the politeness and the quiet tone to my voice.

"So Len-kun, would you like a sister or a brother?" She asked me and gave me a close eye smile to which I give a nervous smile back.

"I would like a sister please" I said quietly and look to see mommy's face and a worried look. The nice lady nod her head and reach out her hand to hold my hand.

"Is it okay to let him see the girls Mr. and Mrs. Kagamine?" She asked mommy and daddy, I watch as the two nod their heads letting the nice lady bring me to a long hall and a pink colored room.

"This is the room where you will pick your sister okay?" I nod my head and watch her as she turn the golden door knob of the door. Just right after she open the door, I can hear many laughters. The nice lady led me into the room and right when we came in, the laughter seems to stop.

"Good morning girls, someone is going to get adopted today!" The lady shouted cheerfully and a few cheers were heard from the mast room. I quickly look around the room expecting to see a girl that would look a little like me. I stopped to see a little girl with long blonde hair tied in a side ponytail blushing at me, she looks pretty cute.

'Would you like Neru-chan to be your new sister Len-kun?" The nice lady asked me and lead me toward the blonde girl I think her name was Neru. When I look at Neru, her blush seems to deepen and gave me a shy smile.

"H-Hello Len-kun!" Neru said suddenly averting eye contact with me, that's when I notice she had golden yellow eyes. I gave Neru a sad smile and shook my head seeing the nice lady give me and Neru a sad smile as well.

"I guess you can't be Len-kun's sister now Neru-chan" The nice lady said bending down to smooth down her hair and I can see her golden yellow eyes widen and started to tear up a little, that's when I just realize how much I don't want girls to cry.

"B-But why? Do you not like me Len-kun?" Neru cried and pushed me away running out of the mast room. Okay, maybe having a sister wouldn't be a great idea? I shook the thought away and continue to search for my future sister. Luckily there aren't as many blondes in the room allowing me to find a blonde girl for my sister.

It was pretty hard to find a blonde in a massive group of people, but I did somehow manage to find a white bow, a white bow that seems to represent a pair of bunny ears. I finally let go of the nice lady's hand and run toward the mysterious bow. Could it be possibly be the girl I'm always searching for? Dashing between girls I found the girl, she's blonde and wearing a white sundress, yes, she is the one I'm looking for!

I reach out my hand to grab the rim of her dress so I can get her attention, just as I expected, she turned her head to me and gave me the curious look. I don't know how to describe, she looks like, well, me. She has beautiful shoulder length blonde hair with her cute white bow sitting on top of her head. Her eyes were a shiny pair of cerulean blue eyes that matched mine, heck, we could pass as twins!

"Len! You shouldn't run off like that! Oh, I see you met Rin-chan here right?" The nice lady asked me bending down and ruffle the little girl's hair making her giggle. Rin, so that's her name, her giggles sound like pure bells, like the chips of hummingbirds that I was told by mommy.

Ms . Kasane will I get adopted today?" Rin asked reaching over to touch the nice lady's drill shaped hair. who Rin just called her nod and lightly set her hand on top of my head before slowly rubbing it.

"Well I'm not sure, Len-kun here is looking for a sister." Right after said that, Rin's eyes glow up a I can see sparkles appearing in her eyes. I look at her height, she seem to be my age, maybe younger or so, who knows. Well, atleast I know Rin isn't really quiet around me unlike Neru who just ran out.

"Really?! We look so alike Len-kun!" Rin squealed and put her arm around my shoulder. Normally I would get disgusted and politely excuse myself from the close space, but when Rin did that, I somehow have the sweet warm feeling. I just realize now how much we look alike, maybe she is the sister I have been looking for. But I have one test for Rin to pass.

"Rin, what is your favorite color?" I asked her and she gave me a confused look.

"Yellow." Yup, she is the one.

"Ms. Kasane, I have decided my sister" I told her and I watch as 's eyes light up and gave me the continue look. "I want Rin to be my new sister" I said taking Rin's hand in mine and gave her a smile. Yup, we are going to have fun!

Rin's POV

I stayed under the comfy yellow covers and stare into the vast white wall, this is so fun, I couldn't believe I was finally adopted, but the house was really boring too, there are hardly any noises! I look out the large windows and saw nothing but a pitch black sky and a few stars sticked to the endless skies. A light sound of breathing came to my ear making me turn my head to see Len sleeping on his bed that's across mine.

His chest rise slowly and then back down slowly, it seems that he's in a long peaceful slumber, he seemed to be happy with that little grin of his. I remembered what he said, he said he's lonely, and he's afraid being lonely. Kasane nee-san said no one deserves to be alone, they all are allowed to have fun.

I jump down from my comfortable bed and landed on the hard cold floor running over to Len's bed, somehow he looks very happy to be asleep. Well who wouldn't after having to study all day everyday? I felt bad for Len, but from now on, I will protect him from everything.

Slowly I slip into his blankets and laid my head next to his slowly falling into a deep slumber with his heat mixing with mine. I like this feeling, I'm so grateful of Lenny picking me for his sister.

"Don't worry Lenny, I'll protect you from everything" I said no more than a whisper before sleepiness taking over my mind.

Okay so this chapter took me a pretty long time to finish and I hope you would be able to enjoy it. I've seen many amazing authors do this, question time for each chapter so I've decided to do this too. I don't know should it be random question or questions about the chapter, so here it comes!
