(A/N): Wrote this instead of sleeping. I really wanted to write a story where Nico was in at a Highschool party so this is what happened.

The playlist repeated once again. Nico sat in the corner of the room, trying to fade away from the party. Bianca had insisted he go, telling him to be more "social" and to try to make friends in his new school. For the entire party, Nico had stayed in the corner, away from the obviously drunk kids and the slightly less obvious drunk kids. He checked the time once again, hoping, wishing that it would be eight and Bianca was outside the school waiting to pick him up. The clock seemed to ignore his pleas and instead read 7:37. It was at this time when a blonde, senior looking, kid walked over to his corner and invaded his personal space. Nico scooted closer to the wall and away from the kid. The blonde kid didn't seem to notice him moving farther away.

"Thank god. I thought I was the only sober person in this room. You know, the kids over there shouldn't be drinking. They're driving themselves home," The guy said to no one in general. Nico didn't reply. For a reason Nico did not know, the guy seemed to take this as an invitation to talk more.

"Drinking is also bad for their livers. If they continue drinking like that, they will be killing themselves by college," The guy continued. He turned to Nico, "What's your name?"

Nico looked at the guy warily before he responded, "Nico."

"Oh," the guy said. It seemed like he waited for Nico to say something else, maybe ask for his name, but when this obviously would never happen, the guy replied, "I'm Will, nice to meet you." He extended his hand out for a handshake. Nico raised an eyebrow and ignored Will's hand. Instead he decided to check the time. The clock read 7:40.

"How?" Nico muttered to himself. He surveyed the room as he tried to find the safest path to another corner away from the blonde dude.

"How what?" Will asked. He seemed way too cheerful for anytime of the day. "How the earth revolves around the sun? How the heart beats enough oxygen to keep the body moving? How the-" Nico mentally facepalmed. Without a thought out a route, he left the corner and moved to the opposite wall of the gym. There were a lot of drunken people everywhere and as he tried to navigate through the crowd, it became increasingly harder and somewhat more terrifying.

"Hey where are you going?" Will called through the crowd. He reached Nico and grabbed onto his arm. "Don't leave me!" Will said dramatically. Nico rolled his eyes and tried to free himself from Will.

"Let go," Nico shouted over the terrible music that was playing. Will sighed and let go of Nico's arm.

"Really, don't leave me to be the only sober person in this room," Will pleaded. Nico groaned and continued to walk towards the other side of the room as Will followed him.

"What grade are you in by the way? I've never seen you in any of my classes. But then again, all the classes I take are to prepare me to become a doctor. What do you want to be when you grow up?" Will rambled. Nico sat in the new corner, already disliking it. He not so silently cursed at Will for making him move. He checked the time, certain it was eight already. The clock read 7:45.

"Language!" Will said. Nico ignored him.

"Only five minutes?" Nico groaned. He moved to the door and decided to wait for Bianca outside. Maybe Will won't follow me, he thought to himself hopefully. He stepped outside, finding it surprisingly freezing outside even in the middle of winter. He stood by himself, shivering.

"Need a jacket?" a voice, who Nico automatically paired with Will, said.

"W-why do you k-k-keep following me?" Nico stuttered, his teeth chattering.

"It's hard to find someone sober at a high school party," Will said. "Also, you looked lonely. Why are you outside by the way? You're going to get a cold."

"Waiting f-for my s-s-sister to pick me up," Nico explained. "She's coming at eight."

"Well there is at least ten minutes until eight," Will pointed out. "You sure you don't want a jacket? You're going to freeze to death."

"I told you, I'm fine," Nico tried to keep himself from shivering. "It's not that c-cold." He heard Will unzip his jacket and felt it drape over his shoulders.

"Thanks," Nico muttered silently. They stood silently side by side for a few minutes waiting for Bianca. Will, out of nowhere, started rambling again. After a while of listening to Will just talk, Nico suddenly found himself hoping Bianca was late. But Bianca's car pulled up in the pick-up line at eight o'clock exact.

"Well, I have to go," Nico said awkwardly handing Will back the jacket. Will took the jacket back, smiling. He closed the gap between them and kissed Nico on the lips quickly. Nico felt his face go aflame when they pulled apart. He quickly walked to Bianca's car.

For the first five minutes of the car ride, there was an awkward silence.

"So," Bianca finally said. "Who was that?"
