Yo so this waaas just gunna be a one-shot, but after the words of encouragement in the reviews, I decided to continue it and make it a two parter ! This does deserve a happy ending, after all. So I hope you all enjoy. :)

"You there! Stop running!" Nightwing yelled, as he skidded around the corner. The night deepend, and it countinued to get darker, making it hard for the male to see just who he could be chasing after. All he knew was, they didn't make much of a sound-and if he squinted his eyes a little more, he could see the person he was chasing was actually floating. He quirked his lips to the side, as he continued after the vigilante, thinking of all the past enemies he's fought. Control Freak, Mad Mod-it couldn't be any of them-not to mention they would be making snarky comments at Nightwing right about now. No, this one said nothing-Nightwing couldn't even hear their breathe. It couldn't have been anyone from the HIVE, either-most of his past enemies had been put in jail.

So who could it be?

They didn't bother to attack, either.

"Stop running!" Nightwing commanded, and the figure seemed to do as he said. It paused, before turning to face it's chaser.

"...Rob-" The figure said, and the male found his chest tightening at how familiar the voice sounded. She paused, however, before letting out a cough, and meakly spoke up. "Nightwing-er, Richard...?"

He held his breathe.

Only one person ever called him that.

"...Raven...?" He whispered out, taking his best guess.

The figure floated more towards him, revealing herself a little more into the natural light of the moon. His suspicion was proved right-white cloaked, hood up, with shining purple eyes glowing from beneath. She was silent, as she pulled her hood down to reveal her pale face-her purple hair had grown throughout the years.

The two stood still, just staring eachother down. Raven's eyes shined in awe, and Nightwing could say he was equally as shocked. "It-it is you..." Dick spat out, still in disbelief.

It had been so long! And to think, he was just thinking about her. Could it be she sensed him thinking of her, so she returned back to Jump City? Why, though? She knew as well as Nightwing did, there was nothing much left of this city. It was in ruins. What reason was there to come back? Dick just couldn't fathom it. The thought of her returning just for his sake but his heart ache, but he pushed those thougts aside-there was no way.

Still, that didn't mean he wasn't happy to see her. A smile came to his face, and he could see the smile light up on her lips as she nodded. She looked as if she was about to jump at him, but before she could get the chance, Dick took it upon himself to take a step forward towards her, and wrap his arms around her. He could feel her breathe still, and she grew tense, but as he pulled her closer, he could feel her melt into his touch, and her arms gently wrapped his neck. "I've missed you," He whispered out, leaning his head into the nook of her shoulder. She smelled like cold water and stone, but she was warm and soft against his body.

"...And I you." She whispered back, and he could feel her nuzzle her head against his neck affectionately.

In this moment, he just wanted to hold her. He wanted to take advantage of the very fact that she was back-for whatever reason-and in this moment, he didn't care what the reason was. Curiousity still clung onto his heart, but at the same time, he didn't care. She was back. And he was here, holding her tightly. He didn't want to let go-not now, not ever. For the first time in a while, he didn't feel so alone. He could feel the warmth returning to his lonely heart, just by seeing the one he cared so deeply for.

However so, he couldn't just let this curiousity go.

He pulled out of the hug, instead gripping her shoulders, so he could still touch her. "It's good to see you again." He said finally, with a smile. Raven looked up into his eyes, smiling right back. Just by looking, Dick could tell she knew he had questions. He dropped his smile. "That doensn't make me wonder why you're back, though." He said.

Raven huffed, lightly. "Good to see you again, too, Dick." She said with a nod, and her eyes darted away from his. "I've my reasons."

Nightwing let go of the bird. "Which are what, exactly?" He wondered.

Raven didn't answer.

Dick sighed again, as he put an arm around her, and spun on his heel. "We have alot of catching up to do, it seems." He announced, before pulling her gently along with him, so they could take a seat on the bench, where it was a little more light out.

Raven nodded. "Very well."

"Mind if I ask why you ran?" Nightwing asked, as they continued on through the dark alley. Light was coming, and soon enough, they would be out of the alley, into the empty streets of Jump.

She shrugged nonchalantly. "It was dark, I didn't know it was you chasing me. If I had, I would have stopped."

The two were out of the dark now, and into the light. Nightwing laughed slightly, as he led her over to the bench he was currently assembled at. "You gave me a little heart attack," He said in a joking tone. "Thought you were a thief or something, you know, escaping into the dark alleys and all."

Raven couldn't help but chuckle, as they took a seat. Nightwing withdrew his arm from her, as they got comfortable. "You know there's no one left in Jump City to put in jail. If memory serves, we've already put a majority in the jail, correct?" An amused grin grew on her face. She knew just how obsessive Dick had always been-though both he and the Titans put alot of villains in jail, within the last year, he had done alot to keep the city safe, on his own. He was focused, determined-Raven supposed that was part of the reason that had drove him away from the team. He had isolated himself for a while, and while he always did that, his obsession seemed to get the past of him, until he decided he needed to fly solo for a while.

That was part of the reasons why the Titans had disbanned, and once Robin was gone, so were the rest of the Titans.

This would be the first time in a year that any of the Titans had spoken to, or ran into eachother again.

Nightwing nodded. "Correct. So that brings the questioning; why are you back?"

Raven rested her hand upon her cheek, as she glared at him. Her shoulders shook in a quiet laughter, as she kept a smile on her lips. "What, not happy to see me?"

Nightwing rolled his eyes, but he couldn't avoid the blush that crept onto his cheeks. "No-you know I am, more than ever." He admitted, as he put a hand on her shoulder to re-assure her. She always had been mischeivious like this, though. She knew just the right things to say to get to you, and now that she was free to express her emotions, it seemed she was a little more playfull than ever. He coughed into his hand, as she laughed at his reaction. "But you said it best. There's hardly any one left in this City, so why come back?"

She raised a brow. "If that is so, why do you remain here?" She dodged his question, to come up with his own. Just to get him more squrimy and embaressed.

It worked. He glanced away for a moment. "I need to keep this city safe." He admitted under his breathe.

"From what?"

He was silent again. "...Just in case," He muttered under his breathe, before looking up to see just how mischeivious Raven looked. He scrunched his eyebrows together, to attempt to regain himself. It seemed within a years span Raven had leanred how to be more playfull, to be able to point out flaws even more so than before. "Look-" He sighed, and stood up to stand in front of her. He gripped her shoulders, as he nealt down on one knee. "Why are you back? Is something going on?"

She blinked, noticing he was going back into a serious mode. She sighed softly, and allowed her smile to drop. And Raven nodded. "I was looking for you." She said, and before Nightwing could speak up, again, she interjected. "I could sense you were... thinking about me."

Nightwing found himself blushing again. So their bond did still work...

The thought made Dick feel fidgety, but in a happy way.

"All the way from Azarath?" He had to wonder, to which she nodded. "Indeed."

The two were quiet for a moment again. "I had to come back, Dick. I had to make sure you were okay-I could sense you were stressed about something. You should take note that even if we are no longer team mates, that you are still my friend, and I still care. So tell me, is there something wrong?"

Nightwing was in awe. He couldn't beileve it-he had no words for how happy he actually was. To know she still cared, to know that she would come back to Jump, despite everything-just to be sure he was okay. "Its-" He could feel his cheeks heat up again. "It's because I missed you." He spat out then, and paused, eyes wide. "And-also-the others, but, but-' This was something he had never mastered. He had grown, but he had never fully learnt how to talk to females. Espicially to ones he loved and cared about. He was still the same flustered boy he was years ago.

Raven seemed stunned, as well. She stared back. "...I know that." She nodded in confirmation. "And-I too have missed the others, as well as you."

"Have you? Is this why you've come back?" Nightwing needed answers. Everything was happening so fast, and while he was so happy to see Raven again, he needed to be sure of everything. He could feel his heart thumping in his chest, so full of life again, and just by being with Raven, he felt his head spinning.

Raven nodded again, but paused, seeing how nervous he was acting up. Through their mind link, she could sense he had the urge to do a little more than just hug her, but for now, she pushed those thoughts aside. She was eager to see what he would do, however, as she could sense the pace of his heart, and the dizzyness of his mind. His thoughts flashed past her, and she could tell he was over-whelmed, but happy to see her none the less. As she was, as well. However, she could tell he was still confused. "First of all, relax," She said, as she put her hands on his shoulders, standing up with him. He tensed, and they looked into eachothes eyes.

There it was again. Raven could sense his urges, but did nothing to act upon them, as she awaited for him to re-act. She wanted to see if he could actually gather up enough courage, or if he was still as flustered and bad at talking to girls as he was before. "Second of all, it is indeed." She confirmed. She paused, as she looked around the dark city, her hands still cuffed on his shoulders.

Around her, it was cold-their only source of light was the moon, safe for the flicker of shattered street lights. Windows of nearby stores were broken, shattered peices surronding the sidewalk of the store. The city, which had once given off a vibe full of life, was now glumm and dark. Empty.

Raven looked back over to Nightwing. "Why do you stay here?" She asked, then. Before giving him the chance to asnwer, she spoke up again. "I say that we gather the other Titans together, and evacute the city. Start a new. Would that not be nice?" She wondered, looking back over to Dick. She could still sense his heart thumping, and his urges grew stronger.

He nodded, but said nothing.

Raven sighed. "Richard-there's nothing left here to salvage. We've put out enemies behind bars. Slade is gone. Trigon has been defeated. There's nothing left to do here, so I have no idea why you insist on staying to protect a City that no longer needs protection. Actually, as well as the need to see if you were alright, there is another reason I've returned." She admitted, and moved her hands up to cuff his cheeks, thumps lightly stroking his skin.

"Which is...?" He asked, staying perfectly still.

"I'd like to re-group the Titans." She said, and before Dick could say anything, she justified her answer. "You're great at fighting, as we both know. However, you can't always stay a one man team. What happens when you're out numbered and need help, and none of us are there to back you up?" She suggested, raising a brow.

Nightwing did nothing to say she was wrong, because deep down, he knew she was right, in some way. There were times here he found himself in grave situations, in which he barely got out of. He knew he needed help, needed back up-even if he was too stubborn to admit it.

"Not to mention... I know you get lonely." Raven pointed out. "I know you think about me-all of us. It must get to you-otherwise you wouldn't have seeked me out. If you hadn't thought of us-if you really had no will to continue being a one man team, I wouldn't be here. But I know you better than that, Richard. Even if you don't wanna admit it, you need people."

She was right... he was only human, after all. He missed her. He missed his friends. He missed being in a team, even if they clashed with how he re-acted, he needed to be around people. Raven was right.

"Richard. Let's re-group the Titans, and let's get out of here." She suggested. "Azar only knows how many other cities there are that need our help. Let's start over again."

While listening to her talk, he couldn't hold in his urges anymore. He scooped her up into his arms, and pulled her closer to him, and pressed his lips against hers. Dick heard her gasp, but she slowly relaxed, and her hands dropped from his face. Dick just pulled her closer, and he could feel her arms gently wrap around his shoulders.

He had waited so long for this. He had missed her so much-all of this was so over-whelming, but he didn't want to hold this back any longer. She was right. He needed to be around people-running into Raven in this hour had made him realise so, and even more, he realised just how much he needed her of all people.

He pulled away, glancing at her bright red cheeks. "You're right," he whispered, leaning his his forehead against her own. Her whole face was warm, and he could tell she was in shock of the sudden kiss... but another part of him knew that she could probably sense that he wanted to do this. She was an empath, after all. "I do need people-I, I need-you." He admitted, and gave her a little squeeze. She was silent, but allowed him to speak.

"Let's do it. Let's re-group the Titans, and get the heck out of here." He agreed, and his eyes glanced away. "It-it won't be easy, but as long as we stick together..." Nightwing sighed, as he pulled away.

Raven looked up to him, seeing the determination on his face. But she smiled-this was a good kind of determination. "...Not at all. I can locate Cyborg and Beast Boy, however, Star is still on Tamaran. We can get everyone back together, though, I'm sure of it." She agreed, suddenly feeling as determined as Nightwing was.

He pulled her close again, and she leaned against him. A smile was on his face. "I'm so gld you're back, Rae-back with me."

Raven smiled. "And I you." She whispered, as she put a hand on his cheek to and pulled herself up to give him a peck on the lips.

And they knew.

As long as they were together, no matter what happend, all would be alright.

With this, they could officially start over.
