Girls und panzer Guardian Demon

"Hammer flight, this is overlord, mission is green, operation sky lance is a go, I repeat mission is green." The AWACS assigned to our strike group called out over the radio, we were designated Hammer flight, our mission was to cripple North Korean air defences around an air base that was being used as a makeshift POW camp. My squadron of F-35B lightning II fighters were low against the ground flying under RADAR so the enemy couldn't see us coming.

"Enemy base is just over this next rise, weapons free on all targets." I commanded over my radio to the other 4 jets.

"Any protected targets sir?" my number 2, Geordie, spoke up we had known each other for years went to college and graduated flight school together. But right now I wasn't in the mood to be friendly, the North Koreans had severely pissed me off, and now, they were going to burn.

"Negative, burn them all." My voice, void of all emotion but my body filled with rage, which anyone who got in front of my nose, would soon find out. But you're probably wondering what got me here in the first place? Well it's a long story that started about 6 months ago…

6 months previous…

"Alright lads, here's the deal, you all know of Sensha-do, the martial art of tank combat? Well the world Sensha-do committee, has decided to let aircraft fly in these battles as well, to provide a more real feel to the sport." Captain Wakefield started the briefing on the hanger deck of our ship, the HMS Lord Winston Churchill was a royal navy Academy ship, a QE2 class carrier where fully qualified officers became teachers, showing the students how to do their role. Alongside HMS Agincourt the two QE2 class academy warships provided crews with the skills they needed to transfer to the frontline carriers, or even destroyers or frigates.

"This is where we step in…" the captain continued, "Since you are all of similar age and since we have fully trained pilots on board, we have been assigned to be the air cover for Ooarai girls' academy for the duration of the following season. However, there is a BIG difference this year. Since last year's tournament had an overwhelming fan base major corporations have offered to sponsor teams, giving them the best equipment and training money can buy, only catch is, we have to work for their money." Sat on the wing of my F-35 at the back of the hanger I didn't particularly like that idea, since it meant the strong schools got stronger and the weaker schools got their asses handed to them.

"Therefore, both the Agincourt and ourselves will be heading out for the pacific once we have loaded some appropriate equipment, any questions?" The captain finished his brief and looked straight at me and my squadron who were all sat on our jets just behind the rest of the crew. Geordie raised his hand, "Sir, I'm a little lost, why is the Agincourt joining us?" he asked to which the captain smiled.

"Good question Roberts, glad you asked, we have been designated air cover for one school, and one school only, Agincourt is to provide cover for another school, I believe they will be covering St. Gloriana girls' high school, so this is an order for all aircrew. Make sure we are the best damn ship out there, got it?" The captain made his point as he finished the whole hanger went up in a roar with the carrier's motto. "We will fight, with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we will never surrender!" I always liked that motto from Churchill's address to parliament when world war two broke out.

I was summoned to the captains quarters later that evening about 3 hours outside of Portsmouth where we were to receive our new load out. I didn't know why I'd been called, most likely because of the supersonic fly by on the HMS Dragon last night. I knocked on the door and waited. "Come in." the captain didn't sound pissed at all, so maybe I was off the hook.

"Ah, squadron leader Madison, please take a seat." Nope, we was definitely in a good mood. He went over to his cabinet and started pouring a pair of drinks. The captain wasn't usually known for sharing his bottles of scotch, he was definitely in a good mood. "Now, you're probably why you've been asked here, and the answer is, no it isn't the Dragon thing, but I have to say, I'm probably going to get it in the neck when we dock." I looked down not sorry for what I did because it was awesome, but for causing trouble just before a new deployment.

"Anyway, before you say anything I want you to check these over, I need to send them off so you and your squadron can be officially recognised as Ooarai's air cover." He said handing me the drink, I stood up and looked over 5 files on his desk, the 5 profiles of my squadron and myself were laid out across the desk with mine at closest to the captain. Jason 'Geordie' Roberts, my number 2, number 3 Daniel 'Hunter' Middleton, number 4 Luke 'Shockwave' Coates number 5, Anthony 'Mallard' Daniels and finally me, Michael 'Demon' Madison. I looked through the 5 files for the next hour, drinking scotch and talking with the captain, a few minor mistakes like hours flown in certain aircraft, none of which were more than 3 hours out but other than that everything was fine.

As we pulled into dock at Portsmouth the St. Gloriana academy warship, alongside her escort of HMS Agincourt was leaving. Myself and my squadron were up on deck assisting with preparations when Luke spoke up. "Wow, that's….big, and still nowhere near the size of your mum Geordie." Luke laughed as Geordie thought of a comeback. "Maybe so, but at least my mam isn't known as the butcher because of the amount of meat she handles." Geordie shot back, the crew around us just started jeering waiting for a comeback war, until I stepped in. "listen you two, I don't care how many men your mothers have slept with or whether they are the size of friggin' Jupiter, we have a job to do, besides Geordie, shockwave is right, your mam is huge." I started to walk towards the control tower after I'd finished my duties and headed down to my cabin to gather some kit.

After the ship docked I made my way down the steps to the car park to find my car sitting waiting for me. I wasn't much for the sports cars that the rest of my squadron had, like the Evos, the GT86s or even Anthony's RCZ. I liked my V40, it looked aggressive but civil, plus with 250 bhp, it wasn't sluggish either. We had tonight to enjoy ourselves, go home, grab a shower and a good night's rest and be back on board by tomorrow morning.

After arriving home, I worked my way through my unopened mail, mostly phone bills and bank statements, nothing fancy really. I made my way to my room to rest for the night, stripping my uniform off and taking a shower, I threw some old comfy clothes on and just relaxed playing games for the night, well, that was till I got a phone call from Geordie.

"I told you that was a bad idea Geordie." The next morning after he'd dragged me out clubbing Geordie was sore off where he'd been kicked in the nuts off a girl he was trying to hit on. As we pulled up to the gates at the dock where the Churchill was docked I was told to proceed to the loading ramp, since this wasn't a military deployment A select number of crewmen were allowed to take their cars, me and my squadron included. I drove up into the hanger and parked next to the others, Geordie didn't have a car, and instead he spent his money on drink and girls.

After the usual greetings and greifings we moved over to 5 new additions to the hanger, 3 spitfire MK 24s and 2 tempest MK 2s, our names and liveries already painted onto them. Myself Geordie and Daniel had the spitfires, while Luke and Anthony had the tempests since they were the better bombers in the group. I moved over to mine with the anime character Rias Gremory facing away from the shot dropping a towel, with the words Daring Devil in crimson red underneath the image. For some reason I was the only one to have nose art, but everyone had their emblems and squadron insignia on the tail, mine was Cerberus the 3 headed guard dog to hell and the squadron insignia was a crown crossed with 2 swords, inscribed on the crown was 309. Naval Air squadron.

As we left Portsmouth I looked back at the shore from the flight deck knowing I wasn't going to see home for a long time, but I never knew just what we were in for.

Ok so first chapter done, This is going to be the standard tanks + aircraft thing but with slight differences *spoilers* but yes eventually our OC and his squadron mates end up involved in a war against North Korea this story will be the T rated first part leading up to the first section before the time jump back. Please review and help me with this since it's the first GUP fic I've done. To explain each school is from their respective nation with St. Gloriana being from Britain, Ooarai being from japan, Saunders being from the US, and so on. Reason the Royal navy is joining with Ooarai will be explained in the next chapter, I can't guarantee regular updates because life. So anyway I don't own Girls und panzer I'm just making this fic, also warship names are purely taken from random names of warships from that nation's history, apart from the main warship, that was me making up a name for the ship. Anyway please leave constructive criticism and if anyone has a suggestion on who Ooarai and the crew of the Churchill face first please mention it in a review or PM me. Till next time
