The sun had began too set softly over the academy as Fuuko changed out of her swimsuit. She was still intensely involved in the aquatics team, even now that the dusk circles where sterilized. It was something she enjoyed doing, even before coming to the academy. She had enjoyed swimming since she was little, and now with shifting magic, she could even swim to the bottom of the ocean if she wanted.

Fuuko dried of her long, smooth, pink hair as she thought back to the events of the day. It was a fairly normal day, she had two classes in the morning, then three after lunch. After that, she had about two hours before the aquatics team practiced. She often used that time to study or do homework, unless Wake was around. If he was, Fuuko would always go out of her way to talk to him. She more often than not would see him after classes, and that was her favourite part of the day.

Saying that Fuuko had a crush on Wake would be a major under-statement. It was no secret, she was in love with Wake. He knew this. She found confidence in herself to tell him after they collaborated to free a certain "Ms. Ghost" from the shackles of mortality. She had even kissed him right after. On the was a particularly good day for Fuuko.

With that being so, Fuuko was still unsure if these feelings where returned. Wake is as a log when it came to Fuuko's flirting. This worried Fuuko, does that mean he does not like her at all? Or s Wake just that oblivious? She really wanted to believe the latter, but she was to worried that the former might be true. The Star Conception Festival was just two short days away. She had made it very clear that she wanted to go with him, but she was still waiting for an invitation.

Fuuko finished drying her hair and began to dress herself in her school uniform. Fuuko sighed, she was unenthusiastic about her chances of being with him. Wake, is God's Gift, he can practically have any girl he wants. Even within their strike team, Fuuko had fierce competition. Narika and Feene where probably at an unfair advantage. Fuuko looked down at her bare chest and sighed. Not everyone is created equal.

Fuuko pulled her shirt over her head and began buttoning up. She still had some confidence, there must be a reason Wake talked with her nearly every day. Wake would often call on her to help out in a labyrinth. Maybe that's because he sees them as close friends. Although, there was the class-mating. Wake would usually classmate about twice a week with her. Those where fantastic times for Fuuko, her and Wake had been touching progressively more and more with each passing ritual. They where at the point where it was minutes of holding one another. But this still bugged Fuuko, as she knew there where five other girls he regularly class-mated with. Fuuko was just a normal girl, so she didn't believe Wake would see their ritual as "special", not in the same way she did.

Finally changed, Fuuko stood up, locking her swimming gear in her locker, and walked outside the pool. Looking out the window, she could barely see the moon peeking over the horizon. She sighed, she probably wouldn't get to walk back to the dorms with Wake, with it being so late. He most definitely has better things to do, so Fuuko can't really fault him for leaving. Fuuko stepped into the frigid embrace of the outside world and shivered. It was the middle of winter, so she immediately regretted not bring a jacket today. Even on this warm island, it got really cold, especially at night. Fuuko began descending the stairs to leave the school grounds, when she noticed someone standing near by. Immediately she identified the person due to the unique colours on his uniform. God's Gift got a different uniform, separating them from the other disciples. Wake said that he thought the purple did not look good on him, but Fuuko thought it looked very nice.

"Hey Wake." Fuuko said cheerfully, as she approached.

Wake turned to face her. "Oh, Fuuko. Good to see you. Did Aquatics practice run a late?"

"Yeah, I stayed a little later to practice my shifting magic." Fuuko said shakily, the cold really getting to her.

"How's it coming? Did you figure out how to change the current?" Wake asked, obviously intrigued.

"It's ok, and no, not yet. I'm just not very good at it.." She paused for a moment, creating a silence between them.

"Where you waiting for me, Wake?"

"Umm, yeah. I had to stay a little later to help Ms. Chloe, and when I was done, I saw you still in the pool, so I figured I would wait for you."

Fuuko blushed a little. It was so nice for him to do that, and he did it for her. Wake could have went home, he didn't have to wait for her, but he did. That was so sweet.

Fuuko decided on something, normally she would never do something like she was about to, but she felt strangely confident and optimistic.

"Wake, are you doing anything right now?" Fuuko nervously asked.

"Nope, did you maybe want to grab something to eat?" He responded.

"Did you want to get some food together then?" Fuuko asked, while looking down. She realized what she just said and her face shone a deep red. She was so nervous about asking, she did not register what Wake had said.

Wake simply laughed. "I'll take that as a yes. Let's go." He began slowly walking towards town. Fuuko rushed to his side, still feeling like an idiot.

Wake smiled at her, and winked. This caused Fuuko to blush even was so nervous before all this, all she wanted to do was ask Wake on a date, that's it. but she couldn't. Now, on top of looking like an idiot, they where just friends going to dinner. Back to square one.

They continued walking side by side, Fuuko, still feeling embarrassed, barely noticed wake reach his right hand down to her left; firmly, yet gently, holding her hand. Fuuko felt a rush of positive feeling rush through her body as she moved slightly closer to him.

"Would it be ok to call this a date?: Wake asked, not looking at Fuuko. She was stunned. They where no strangers to hand holding, hugging, even kissing, so Fuuko figured it was just one of those days. But now Wake was asking for a date, it was like Fuuko's craziest dream.

Fuuko, still in disbelief, did not know how to respond. "A d-d-d-date?"

Wake, frowned, and slowly started to pull his hand away. "S-sorry, it's fine if you don't want to."

Fuuko immediately grabbed his hand and pulled it back into hers. "No, I would love to go on a d-date with you."

Wake smiled, only now did Fuuko notice he had been blushing this entire time. Was he nervous about this?

"So," Wake said. "Where would you like to eat?"
