Hey again, Zoke fans and fellow MxZ Family readers! I am back with an update for the Our Children fanfic series. I am sorry for the wait yet again; I have been trying to find work and it's already been a year since I finished College with my Associate degree. But also, ever since the COVID-19 Outbreak, I've been feeling less motivated to work on any of my other fanfics, (minus the TDW since I always feel motivated and inspired to do that all the time for certain reason). I also hope you all are safe and staying indoor during the outbreak. I am concern for everyone's safety and health.

Now then, in the previous chapter, I had Zoey get the flu while Mike remained home and watched over her like a protective mama bear, lol. In my eyes, Mike would want to take care of Zoey as a way of thanking her for always being there for him whenever he needed support the most. Now then, I decided to do a Back to School night/Report Card night since I always wanted to know how Mike and Zoey would react towards their kids' grades, like all parents do towards their children's education.

Takes place about a month after the previous chapter, plus I don't know how the Canadian educational system is different towards the US educational system, so I searched it up for better understanding. Anyway, I hope you all will enjoy this, also... tune in for a surprise in the chapter.

It was a calm April evening, inside the family van of the Peterson; Mike, Zoey, their twin daughter, and their son; were heading to Daisy and Lucy's Elementary school for Report Card night. Usually, the school would send the report cards towards the houses of every student, but the school decided to have a Report Card night to speak with the parents and tell them how their children are doing in their classes. "I can't believe we have to head back to school so that our teachers can tell our parents how we are doing. Can't we tell them ourselves." Lucy, the older child of the Peterson, said in an annoyed expression while Zoey replied back, 'Oh don't need to be worried, Lucy. I'm sure your teachers have some positive thing to say about you and your sister.' Lucy sighed in worriedness while Daisy wasn't much worried than her sister. Daisy was the more hard working child in the family, she would always do her best with her assignments in her classes, while Lucy was the more... lay back kind of student. She would do her work but would tend to sometimes chat with her friends or be distracted with certain things. "I can see you're not worried at all, Daisy." Lucy said while Daisy only said, 'No need to be worried at all. I know my teachers see me as the more... educated Peterson in the class, hehehe.' Lucy growled in annoyed, a bit jealous her younger twin sister was smarter than her.

"Daisy, you don't need to show off at all. Your mother and I see you both as hard working students. Besides, I do want to know how the teachers are towards you both... and how they were different... towards me." Mike said, remembering how nobody would be there for him during his school years, making Zoey held his hand softly for comfort. 'What you mean, dad?' Daniel asked, not knowing about his father's MPD past yet since he was still too young. "It's nothing, Danny. No need to worry at all, hehehe" Mike replied to his youngest son, making the boy a little concern about what his tall papa was talking about. A few minutes soon passed by as the Peterson family made it to Lucy and Daisy's school, seeing a few parents and their kids heading inside. "Okay, we're here, everyone out of the van." Mike and Zoey exit out first while Lucy helped her brother out of his car seat while Daisy exit the van as well. One look at their school made Lucy gulp in fear of her folks learning how she's been acting during the past few months.

"I am so dead..." Lucy said to herself before she and Daisy led their parents and brother towards the school. "So... who should we see first, hehehe?" Lucy asked before Zoey said, 'How about your homeroom teacher, they normally have your report cards, right?' Hearing that, made Lucy scream inside her own mind. "Yeah... you are right, hehehe." Lucy and Daisy soon led their parents towards their homeroom teacher while Mike held Daniel's hand so he wouldn't get lost. The Peterson soon made it to the Twins' homeroom teacher, seeing a Caucasian skin female, speaking with another parent and student. 'Is that your homeroom teacher?' Mike asked as Lucy and Daisy nodded.

"She's also our English teacher, Ms. Morcelo. She's a very nice teacher to have to be honest." Daisy smiled while Lucy nodded a bit, 'Yeah, she always helps us if we need some help though. I sometimes ask for her help and she would help me out though, hehehe.' Mike and Zoey nodded before they soon walked up to Ms. Morcelo. 'Good evening. I'm Ms. Morcelo and by the look of this, you must be Lucy and Daisy's parents, right?' Mike and Zoey nodded before Zoey said, 'That's right. I'm Zoey and this is my husband, Mike.' The two shook Ms. Morcelo hands before the twins greeted their reading/homeroom teacher. "Hi, Ms. Morcelo." The reading teacher smiled and greeted back to her young students. 'It's nice to see you two again.' Mike then asked Ms. Morcelo a question, 'So, how are our kids been doing in your class, Ms. Morcelo?'

"Oh, Daisy and Lucy are both hard working students in my class. Though Lucy tends to need some more help during our class work. She normally asked her sister for help, but she sometimes ask for my help most of the times. It's nothing too serious though, they both are well behaved students." Zoey and Mike smiled at their twins while Daniel said, 'Are my big sisters really good?' Ms. Morcelo giggled at the little boy's question and said, "Yes they are little boy, your sisters are really good students to have in my class. And I do hope to see you when you are bigger." Daniel smiled before Mike then asked, 'That's great to hear. But do you have their report cards though?' Ms. Morcelo nodded before saying, "Indeed I do. And I have to say, your daughters are really doing their best during this term." Ms. Morcelo then handed Mike and Zoey the twins' report card, seeing how well they both have been doing so far.

"Hmm, oh yeah! This is really nice to see." Mike and Zoey were amazed by both Daisy and Lucy's grades, seeing that it's almost all A's and B's. However, Zoey soon looked at Lucy's grade for Reading and Writing class for Secondary Language. "Lucy, you have a C- for this class?" Lucy looked worried but soon sighed and nodded, 'Yeah, I do. I know C's aren't a good grade for you both, but I have been trying my best though, honest.' Zoey the said, "We know, sweetie. We're aren't mad at you at all, though we do hope you bump it up a bit before summer vacation, okay?" Lucy nodded before Ms. Morcelo then said calmly, 'I can see that Lucy is more of the seeking helping kind of student, but she does do her best in all of classes, she just need to be more focus, that's all.' Mike and Zoey nodded before Ms. Morcelo then spoke about Daisy, 'Daisy on the other hand, she works more harder than any student I ever had in my class. It's like she wants to pass with everything she has in her, but I know that's the main focus for every student in our school, right?' The Petersons all nodded before they soon left Ms. Morcelo classroom. 'Well, we got our report cards, I say we can-' But before Lucy could finish, Mike said, 'Hold it right there, Lucy. We know you're worried about what your teachers will tell us about you and your sister. Sweetie, you don't need to be worried at all. Your mother and I won't think differently about you and or your sister. We just want to know how we can help you two pass your classes, okay?' Lucy sighed once more but nodded, 'Okay then.'

"Good, now then, I think we should see your Reading and Writing teacher first before seeing your other teachers, okay?" Lucy and Daisy nodded before they led them towards their Secondary Language classroom for Reading and Writing. While they were walking there, I noticed their pal, Brian, and his folks; Duncan and Courtney, speaking with their math teacher and seeing that Courtney was looking a bit disappointed at her son. 'I think Brian's mom is mad at him for some reason.' Daisy said to her sister who nodded before the Petersons walked up the stairs, heading to the 2nd floor, where their Reading and Writing class was held at. Once they did made it, they noticed that their teacher, Mr. Cote, who was a Canadian French teacher, was speaking with another student and her parents. 'Oh, Mr. Cote is speaking is Sophia and her parents. We may need to wait for a bit, okay?' Daisy said towards her parents as they both nodded and waited outside the classroom. 'You don't think Mr. Cote is going to tell them how bad I am in his class, right?' Lucy said as Daniel replied back for her sister, 'I think he won't be mean towards you, Lucy. Maybe he might say how good you are.' Lucy smiled a bit, seeing that her little brother was always optimistic towards anything, just like their mother.

However, a few minutes passed by, as Sophia and her folks finally left the classroom, Sophia was smirking a bit, making the Twins believe that she was acing their Reading and Writing class. "I see that Sophia passing Mr. Cote's class, as usual. She speaks and understands French!" Lucy complains a bit before Daisy said, 'True, though she doesn't have that many friends as we do, right?' Lucy soon smirked a bit and nodded with her little twin sister before the Petersons soon entered Mr. Cote's classroom. 'Evening, sir and ma'am. I'm Mr. Cote, you two must be Lucy and Daisy's mother and father, if I'm not wrong?' Mr. Cote said with a slight accident as Mike and Zoey only nodded, 'Yes we are. I'm Mike and this is my wife, Zoey. I came here since we would like to know how our daughters are doing in your class?' Mr. Cote nodded while Lucy looked very worried about what he is going to say.

"Well, Daisy is passing my class is a B if I am not wrong. She does her best to understand the lessons we have here. She seems to work a bit more harder but she tends to get a bit frustrated when she doesn't clearly know what the lesson is about." Mike and Zoey looked a bit surprised while Daisy blushed and looked completely embarrassed after what her teacher said towards her parents, making Lucy giggle a bit. 'For real? Our daughter, Daisy? She gets frustrated in your class?' Mike asked with a disbelief expression while Mr. Cote nodded, "Yes she does. I mean she is a good student and well behaved. It's just that sometimes she gets a little mad when she doesn't fully understand the lesson. Some of the other students tend to assist her whenever she needs it the most but all in all, Daisy is a good student to have in my class." Zoey then looked at Daisy who was hiding behind Lucy's back. 'Daisy, we never knew you acted like this. You're more calm and relax at home.' Daisy was feeling more embarrassed as Mr. Cote soon said, "Daisy isn't a bad student, I am only saying that she needs to be more patient with understanding the lesson that's all." Mike nodded before saying, 'Okay then, but what about Lucy? How is she during your class?'

Mr. Cote sighed a bit before saying, "Lucy isn't a horrible student. She does her work and behaves herself. It's just that... Lucy tends to be distracted and sometime more focus on her doodling during my class. I know her other teachers have complained a bit about her doodling habits in her classes." This made Mike and Zoey look at Lucy with a stern expression. 'Lucy, is that true?' Zoey asked before Lucy only nodded, 'Yeah... kinda, hehehe.' Mike then asked Mr. Cote if there's anything else they need to know about their eldest daughter. "Well, she does chat with her friends sometimes but I know she is a good student as well. But all I ask is that she needs to be more focus and pay more attention during my class, that's all." Mike and Zoey understood while Lucy and Daisy looked a bit embarrassed themselves. 'Well then, thank you for letting us know, Mr. Cote.' Mike said before Mr. Cote nodded, "No worries, it was a pleasure meeting you both tonight. Lucy and Daisy, I hope you both finish your homework for tomorrow, okay?" The twins nodded and said, 'Yes, Mr. Cote.' Before the Petersons soon exit out of his classroom.

"Lucy, what have we've been telling you about?" Mike said while crossing his arms and looking at Lucy with a stern and somewhat disappointed face. Lucy only said with a somewhat worried expression. 'That my class work and my homework are more important than my drawings once I am in school. I know, I know; you both ask me to focus more on my schoolwork than my hobby. But I just can't, I love drawing so much! It's so fun and I always have these amazing ideas once I think of them. I know I need to be more focus with school but... it's just hard sometimes.' Zoey then took over and said with a calmer tone, 'We understand, Lucy. We know you are doing your best, but your father and I need and want you to focus more with school. We know you love drawing and that's good. But just promise us that you will focus more in your classes once you are in school, okay?' Lucy sighed but nodded, 'Yes, ma'am.' Mike and Zoey then looked at Daisy, "And Daisy, I never knew you would get super frustrated in your classes. Your teachers tend to tell us you're a hardworking and well behaved student, but... what happened?" Daisy sighed as well, 'It's nothing too serious. I just want to make sure I understand it clearly, so I won't mess up. I don't want to fail and be a total failure in life. I want to make sure I pass all my classes and get to the next grade level, that's all.' Mike then said to his younger twin daughter, "Sweetie, we understand, but you shouldn't get frustrated and mad about not understanding the lessons. You should just relax and ask your teacher if he or she could explain it a more, okay?" Daisy nodded before hugging her dad, 'Yes, sir.'

"Okay then. Now let's see your other teachers, I know they have some good things to say about the both of you." Zoey said with a cheerful smile before the Twins led their parents and little brother to their other classes. They headed to their math teacher, their social studies teacher, their science teacher, and their art/music teacher. Many of them said a lot of good things about Lucy and Daisy, making Mike and Zoey happy to know their twin daughters are doing their very best in school. However, their teachers also mentioned that Lucy sometimes tends to be distracted during their classes, actually making Mike and Zoey concern about their eldest daughter while they also said that Daisy sometimes gets a little annoyed about not knowing the lessons, again surprising the two since their younger twin daughter tends to be more calm and relax at home. Very soon, the Petersons were heading to the Twins' gym room, where they were going to speak with their gym teacher/health teacher.

They all noticed there were more than one teacher since some schools have more gym teachers for the other students that attend gym class or health class. Lucy and Daisy noticed their friend, Luna, and her folks were speaking with their gym teacher, Mr. Scott. "Oh, we got to wait again. Luna and her parents are talking to Mr. Scott right now." Daisy said before Mike said, 'Oh, okay then but they are outside the gym room, maybe we can head up and still speak with him.' Everyone nodded as they walked up, however, Zoey was more focus on Luna's mother, seeing that she had orange hair down to her shoulder and wore a black hat on top. 'Have I... seen her before?' Zoey pondered before they soon made it to the Twins' gym teacher.

"You daughter is doing well in my class, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson. I have no trouble with her at all. Luna is an active student to have in my class." Mr. Scott said with a cheerful tone while Luna's father said, 'It's nice to know our daughter is doing well, Mr. Scott.' Daisy and Lucy soon said, 'Hey Luna! Hello, Mr. Scott.' Luna turned around and saw her twin friends and even their family. 'Oh, hey you two. I was wondering when I was going to see you both here tonight.' Luna said with a slight smile while her mother and father soon noticed their daughter's friends and their family. Zoey soon looked incredibly surprised while Luna's mother widen her eyes a bit, until Mike said, 'Well now, I see you both made another friend, huh?' The twins nodded before they introduced their friend to Mike and Zoey. 'Mom and Dad, this is our friend, Luna. Luna, this is our mom and dad. And over there is our little brother, Daniel.' Daniel waved hello while Luna waved back, 'It's nice to finally meet your mom and dad. I can see where you two got your looks and your personalities, no disrespect or anything, hehehe.' Luna's father soon said, 'I never knew you actually made friends, Luna. That's really nice to hear.'

Luna soon introduced her parents to Lucy and Daisy. "Girls, this is my mother and father. Mother and Father, these are my friends, Lucy and Daisy." Luna's father said hello while Mr. Scott waited for them to finish. 'Nice to meet my daughter's friends. I am glad to know she is making friends in school.' The twins smiled before Mike walked up, 'Nice to meet you. I'm Mike by the way.' Luna's father soon shook Mike's hand and said, 'Pleasure to meet you, Mike. My name is Andrew, and this is-' Before Andrew could finish, Zoey said in a surprised tone, 'Ashley Smith?' Luna and her father both looked completely surprised while Luna's mother walked up and said, 'Zoey Roth... is that really you?' Zoey couldn't contain her excitement and her happiness as she just nodded and hugged Ashley tightly, 'I cannot believe it! My old summer camp friend! It's actually you!' Zoey smiled brightly while Ashley was shocked and surprised by the sudden hug before she soon smiled back and hugged Zoey back. 'It's been so long, my old childhood friend.' The Twins and Luna all looked in absolute shock, "Your mom knows my mother?!" Luna said before Daisy said for her and Lucy, 'Your mother knows our mom!?' Mike soon turned to Mr. Scott and said, 'You wouldn't mind waiting for a moment right, sir?' Mr. Scott nodded and understood as Mike walked up to Zoey and said, 'Zoey, you wouldn't mind if I talk to the Twins' gym teacher alone right? I can see... you are having a reunion at the moment.' Zoey nodded and let Mike talk with Mr. Scott while she and Ashley walked away a bit and soon started talking.

"Zoey Roth, I can't believe it's actually you. My old summer camp friend, it's been so long since we last saw each other." Ashley said before Zoey said, 'I agree, Ashley. I can't believe it either. It's been forever since we met back Camp Pinewood. How you been?' Ashley only said, "Oh... life been decent to me since we parted ways after Summer was over. I... well... went through a phase during my teen years." Zoey soon took a guess, 'You became a goth?' Ashley looked up and nodded, "Yeah, I did. Me and Andrew were goths during our teen years, we even used goth names, I called myself, Crimson and he called himself, Ennui." Zoey nodded, 'Oh, cool. I have a goth friend too; her name is Gwen.' Ashley aka Crimson said, "You mean Gwen from Total Drama?" Zoey smiled and nodded, 'Yup, she and I met during season 5. Me and my husband even competed in the 4th season, pretty cool right?' Crimson smirked and nodded, "Yeah, I guess so. But me and Andrew competed in the Ridonculous Race, you heard of that?" While Zoey and her old friend chatted, Mike was still speaking with the Twins' gym teacher.

"So, Lucy and Daisy are both doing well in your class, Mr. Scott?" Mr. Scot nodded and replied back, 'Yup, both your daughters are always active in any activity we have in each of our classes. Lucy, however, tends to get super competitive when we have team vs. team, even towards her sister when they are on opposing teams.' Lucy chuckled a bit, 'What can I say, I just like to win for my team, that's all, hehehe.' Daisy slightly glared at her sister, 'You act like a total jock when we play, Lucy. You even insulted anyone in the other team, even me when I play against you.' Lucy again chuckled while she blushed a bit, while Mike only chuckled. "Okay then, thanks for letting me know, Mr. Scott. But does Lucy behave herself?" Mr. Scott only said, 'Yes, she is well behaved but again, she needs to be more friendly when we have team vs. team, okay?' Lucy nodded while Mike understood. "Alright then. Thanks for telling me though." Mr. Scott thanked them for meeting with him before Mike, Daniel and the twins walked up to Zoey, who was still talking to Ashley aka Crimson. "Zoey, the Twins' gym teacher told me they are passing their class. But he also told me that Lucy gets competitive a lot during the class." Zoey soon said, 'Really? She does?'

"What? I said I just wanted my team to win that's all." Lucy said with a pout while Luna, Daniel and Daisy chuckled a bit. "Besides, I want to know how you know Luna's mother." Daisy was also curious about how her mom know one of her friend's mom as well. 'Well... if you want to know. Your friend's mother use to be my old summer camp pal when I was little. She and I were like two peas in a pod when we met. We always did everything together back at Camp Pinewood.' Zoey and Crimson smiled while Mike and Ennui looked a bit surprised once again, 'I never knew you had a friend, Zoey. You told me you never had any friends in your hometown.' Zoey then explained it to Mike, 'That's because Ashley and I lived in different towns. We actually never saw each other again until now. I would never forget my childhood friend's hair color or eye color at all. Once I got a good look, I knew she was my old summer camp pal.' Crimson smiled before Ennui said, 'That's really nice to know, to be honest. I am happy to know my wife wasn't all alone before I met her.' Luna soon nodded with her father before they all soon exit out of the school and walked towards the separate cars.

"We should definitely catch up, right?" Zoey asked Crimson before nodding and saying with a smile, 'Definitely. I want to know what happened since we last saw each other, Zoey. I really missed our time as summer camp friends, Zoey Roth.' Zoey smiled again and hugged Crimson, "Me too, Ashley. Me too." Crimson hugged Zoey back while Mike and the kids waited inside the van. 'Mom really is hugging her a lot more than she hugs us, huh Lucy.' Daisy said, making her sister nod while Daniel yawned a bit, almost falling asleep as Zoey soon headed back into the van and sat in the passenger seat. "Sorry for the wait, guys. I guess meeting someone from your past can really make you wonder what they've been up to since then. Anyway, we should head back home now." Mike and the kids nodded as Mike started the van began driving everyone back home, while Lucy and Daisy waved goodbye to Luna, who waved back slowly with a smile before the Peterson drove back home.

"So mom, you actually knew Luna's mom when you were little?" Daisy asked before Zoey nodded with a smile, 'I sure did. I know it's been so long since I saw her, but I knew it was my Summer camp buddy. She and I always did everything together back at camp, I was sad to know she and I lived in different town. But I am glad to know she's doing well since then." Mike smiled a bit before holding Zoey's hand, 'It's nice to know you weren't at all alone when you were little, Zoey.' Zoey smiled again before the Twins smiled back and said, "We're happy you had a friend when you were little, mom." Zoey smiled once again and said, 'Thanks you guys. However, Lucy, you and I are going to have a talk about your competitive side, little lady. You need to be more friendly when you play with others.' Lucy blushed again while Daisy giggled as Mike and Zoey chuckled a bit as well as they continued their drive back home.

There you go, everyone! Mike and Zoey just met Luna's parents, being that they were Crimson and Ennui, the Goths from the Ridonculous Race. But also, you all saw how Lucy and Daisy were during their classes. Looks like Lucy is having some trouble with it, but she has her family to help her out.

Anyway, in the next chapter, I decided to do something special. Next in the chapter, I decided that Mike and Zoey are going to be telling the twins their experience in Total Drama All Stars. Yup, it's time they know what happened during that season. Until next time, see you all then and stay safe. Thank you for reading the chapter, bye for now :)
