Mission for Command Units Carthon, Baratos, Teranus and all units under their current command: Defeat the Knightmare Frame designated as Lancelot.

Primary Objectives: Safety of Lelouch Vi Britannia and defeat the Lancelot.

Secondary Objectives: Attempt to keep Rebels AKA potential [Human] allies from being terminated and destroy Lancelot if possible.

Decepticlones: Move out!

END OF ENTRY

And move out they did. Carthon sent out an order to the aerial snipers Natix and Zonot to converge with him at a location near where they knew Lelouch vi Britannia was staked out, commanding the battle from a relatively safe spot. Baratos and Teranus both mounted the dropships as the two snipers headed their way. The large flying ships elevated off the rooftops as they made to cross paths with the Lancelot.

In Baratos's dropships, the red medium units activated their energon shields. With the Lancelot's speed and own shielding, they were going to need them in all likelihood. Meanwhile, the orange medium units under Teranus readied their blasters and grenades. If they were organics, they would have made some joke about it being like old times, when they fought against the Autobots. While they did no such thing, many of them were skimming over old files on the faster Autobots, namely Hotshot. Still, that was a bad comparison. This enemy, if the report being uploaded into their processors were correct, was more akin to a grounded version of Megatron's Second-in-Command, Starscream. The big difference was that the Lancelot's speed depended mostly on the wheels propelling it.

As they closed in on their destination, an orange medium unit designated as Frat Heit sent a message to the Commander Units: He had an idea.

And the Commander Units approved. They very much approved.

Let it never be said that a Decepticlone has to be a Commander or High Command Unit to have good ideas.

Meanwhile

Ohgi was sure that today was the biggest emotional rollercoaster since Japan fell to Britannia. The fear of trying to steal the poison gas, the relief of succeeding, the panic when they were found out, the despairing rage as Shinjuku was turned into a sight of genocide, and the thrill as this mysterious voice led to their first ever taste of true victory.

Now he was on a stretch of despair and disbelief as some strange white Knightmare tore them apart with ease, even with their acquired Sutherlands.

He couldn't really blame the voice for not being able to tell them how to counter this unknown thi-

"How the hell does it deflect bullets and flip like that?!" Ohgi yelled as he and two of his fellow resistance members tried to ambush the monster of a mech.

"Ohgi, we need to fall back! No way we can take this thing!" One of his comrades yelled.

Just as a slash harken ripped the head of his Knightmare off and a land spinner took out the other via a spinning kick to the torso, causing them both to eject.

"Dammit," Ohgi snarled, getting ready to pull the eject lever himself as the Britannian prototype turned to finish him.

Only for another miracle to fall out of the sky…literally this time.

"What the hell?!" Suzaku yelled as something impacted with the Lancelot from above.

"Suzaku! Are you alright? Status?" Cecile called over the radio.

"I'm alright! Just give me a moment," Suzaku called, gritting his teeth as he spun the Lancelot in an effort to dislodge his acquired baggage.

"Strange," Lloyd commented with an even hum, his interest peaked. Thankfully his precious Lancelot wasn't showing any damage from whatever just happened.

"Falling debris, perhaps?" Cecile suggested.

"Debris usually doesn't hold on that tightly," Lloyd countered as they watched the live footage from the Lancelot, a series of crashes and blurs appearing as something orange went through the air.

"R2, what's the status on the enemy Knightmare?" Lelouch called over the radio with a scowl, annoyed by how easily this foe was tearing apart his victory.

"Hey, um, Voice? Were you expecting backup?" Kaname asked slowly.

"What?" Lelouch asked with narrowed eyes.

"Lloyd, are you seeing this?" Cecile asked with wide eyes.

"It seems we're not the only one making a debut," Lloyd commented, his grin and eyes widening ever so slightly.

Suzaku merely stared in confusion at the three machines. Two had rolled into their landings, landing on their feet with a measure of grace that Knightmares weren't known for. The last one landed face down for a moment before jumping back up to its feet with surprising speed. They were all black with red-orange heads and limbs and a green eye-piece on their heads in the shape of an upside down T. Each of them had a proportionate firearm holstered on their metallic thighs. "They don't have any ejection pods," Suzaku noted to himself with a frown.

"Three unknowns?" Lelouch repeated in curiosity.

"Yeah. Never seen anything like them. Whoever they are, they're not with Britannia by the look of things," Ohgi explained tensely.

'And they don't seem to have an IFF either,' Lelouch mentally noted as he ran through many scenarios. Whoever this new faction was, he'd have to use their aid to deal with this nuisance, that was obvious. "N Group, move in a quarter-click of R2's position. R2, observe and aid the unknowns," Lelouch ordered, wanting to know what these potential allies could do.

"Got it," Ohgi answered as he gripped the control handles tightly.

"Lloyd, is there any chance these are friendlies that aren't aware of the terrorists having the Sutherlands?" Suzaku asked quickly.

"Cosmically unlikely my dear boy. The whole situation is being contained, both from the public and the rest of the military," Lloyd answered flippantly. "Feel free to engage. Or wait for the first strike if it makes you feel better. Just don't let Lancelot get hurt."

"Right," Suzaku acknowledged as both sides had a momentary stare down.

The tension was so thick; it could be cut with a knife.

At least for the two humans.

The middle one pulled out its weapon with the speed of an old west gunman. Suzaku immediately fired his slash harken, only for his target to jump forward and roll under it. It fired its weapon, sending a blue energy attack.

"What was that?!" Cecile asked in shock.

"An energy attack?" Lloyd commented to himself in surprise.

"Lloyd, the Blaze Luminous!" Cecile called as she read the data.

"Hmm?" Lloyd questioned as he looked her way.

"Dammit," Suzaku cursed as he raised his shields to block the two firing at him.

"Suzaku my boy! I don't mean to alarm you, but the Lancelot's Blaze Luminous can only take so many of those attacks. More than a few dozen mind you, but do try to avoid getting hit too much," Lloyd advised.

"Thanks for the warning!" Suzaku acknowledged. And here he thought he was imagining the cracks forming in his energy shields.

Taking into account the one running to circle around him, he sent his Knightmare into reverse and angled it to fire at one of the enemies shooting at him and the one trying to flank him. Once more, his assailant dodged, but the other one deflected the tethered projectile.

"That's...impossible," Lloyd said in disbelief as he stared at the feed. The black-orange machine almost seeming to mock them as it held up an oval shield made of some kind of clear blue energy. It was a bit red at the center from the Lancelot's attack, which had pushed the foe back several paces through sheer force, but otherwise held fast.

"We only perfected the Blaze Luminous a couple month ago. Could someone have hacked our systems?" Cecile asked in concern.

"Even if they had, making something like that should have taken far longer," Lloyd answered numbly. "Just who poked their heads out of the proverbial sand?"

"They have energy shields as well?" Lelouch asked with wide eyes.

"Why the hell does everyone else have the new good shit, right after we got some fucking Brit-mares!" Tamaki cursed over the radio.

"Voice?" Kallen called over the radio.

"Everyone, get ready, they might just give us an opening. Q1, you're still the fastest of them. If and when we ambush the white Knightmare, hold back and watch for an opening," Lelouch ordered. Honestly, he was contemplating bringing a building down on it right now, but someone else was showing their cards. And he wanted to see more.

Suzaku had been stunned only for an instant upon seeing the shield. He read up on Knightmares enough to know that what he piloted was unheard of, being to the last generations of Knightmare what the first Knightmare had been to the tanks. In other words, it made them seem obsolete.

And yet, here was this enemy Knightmare that boasted a shield not unlike the Lancelot's.

"Suzaku, look out!" Cecile warned over the radio.

Suzaku snapped his attention back to the other two, only to bring his shield up to block the foe that came crashing into him. "How the...!?" he cursed as he tried to throw it off, only to see that it had grabbed onto the reeled-in lines connected to the slash harken. "He rode it?!"

"Using their lighter weight to their advantage...," Lloyd murmured with narrowed eyes. "In both of their first days in the field, Lancelot and Suzaku apparently have a trial by fire to face."

Kaname, meanwhile, watched in disbelief as the strange machine tried to punch the Britannian Knightmare, only to have the arm grabbed and ripped off by the prototype with the aid of a slash harken cutting the limb part way off. "What the-? Why are they retreating?" he asked as he saw them flee away from the Knightmare.

Only for an explosion to erupt from the severed arm, behind the blaze luminous shields.

"Voice, send in the cavalry! They just got a bomb off on in the thing's face!" Kaname called.

"You heard R2!" Lelouch affirmed.

"Suzaku!" Cecile cried out.

"My Lancelot!" Lloyd yelled in a strangely parental panic

"They tried to punch me with an explosive..." Suzaku realized with a groan as he gripped his side and checked his monitors. "Cecile? Lloyd? Can you hear me?" he asked, getting static. He sighed before tensing, bringing up his Blaze Luminous to block a hail of gunfire from the terrorist with the Sutherland. "Almost forgot abou him. Guys, I'm about ten percent damaged from that overall, but the left arm is more like twenty. Everything else seems fine."

"At least we can still hear him," Cecile said in relief.

"At least he's still transmitting, my dear," Lloyd corrected with a frown, biting his lips as he watched Suzaku take after the now-retreating terrorist, their mysterious new enemies still on the run.

"Voice, I'm retreating down the east street! The unknowns are still on the run!" Ohgi informed.

"Follow them. They are likely setting a trap for him; just try not to get caught in it. With any luck, our mutual enemy will be caught between them and us," Lelouch ordered.

'Yeah, I might have to eject before that becomes an issue!" Ohgi informed as the white monster rapidly closed in on him even as he tried to slow it down with gun fire.

"They're probably going to try and ambush me after turning a corner," Suzaku realized with a scowl. He may have been blindsided for a few minutes, but he was determined to win back his earlier edge.

With that in mind, he pushed the speed of his Knightmare, catching up with the Sutherland, blocking and weaving around its gunfire before swiping the metal head. It fell to the ground and had the slimmest of chances of being still operational. And so, he pushed on, rounding the corner.

The ambush was there, right as he expected. There was a line of five these new "Knightmares" with blue shields blocking his path, their guns aimed over the gaps. Any other Knightmare would have been gunned down.

But with Suzaku at the helm, the Lancelot was able to jump onto the side of a building, flipping off it and going over their heads. He positioned a land spinner to slam down onto the heads of the enemy frames. Most of them jumped back, but one unlucky mech took the full brunt of the attack, the blue shield just down enough to take the hit. The wheel kept spinning, scrapping and tearing a good half of the Decepticlone's head off.

Suzaku grit his teeth as he spun the Knightmare to deflect several shots, the inertia aggravating his injuries. Now that he was in close, he had more of an advantage. These things were more agile than most Knightmares, but they still weren't as fast as the Lancelot. He kept hitting them quickly with robotic limbs or Slash Harkens, but their shields took all the assaults. Luckily, they were all getting very red now. If he pushed them just a bit more and his luminous held up, he should be fine.

"There he is!"

Suzaku barely turned in time to block a hail of gunfire from the terrorists. Ironically, it was almost to his advantage. With the gunfire raining upon them, both he and the unknowns had to prioritize blocking the bullets; and both their shields and his Blaze Luminous seemed more than capable of blocking those.

That didn't mean the unknowns weren't occasionally shooting him in the back, just that they had less chance to do so.

'Caught like a rat,' Lelouch thought to himself as he twirled the white knight piece in his hand. 'I'll have to thank these sudden benefactors of mine when I get the chance. Still, if there is such a force against Britannia, why hasn't it made itself known before? It's remotely possible this is some division of the Britannia military gone rogue. If so, they've either done so recently or the empire is keeping it quiet. That is a stretch regardless of the case, but wondering about the truth won't do any good right now,' he decided as he watched the map. Thank god he had the mental capacity to remember everyone's location.

"Crap," Suzaku cursed, seeing the monitor indicating damage to the back. Not only that, he could hear and feel it, his cockpit getting notably hotter from the energy those things released on impact.

He made a split second decision and charged at the Sutherlands. He knew he could handle those and that would hopefully make dealing with this mystery Knightmares all the easi- "GAH!" Suzaku yelled as he was slammed forward before he could reach top speed.

"Got you, you son of a bitch!" Kallen yelled as she body slammed the seventh generation Knightmare in the back with her obsolete Glasgow. Thankfully, their new allies notice her approach and ducked out of the way at the last second.

"Damn. We just can't seem to get a break today, can we?" Lloyd commented offhandedly with a head tilt.

"To his credit, he's done remarkably well for his first time. If it wasn't for the new Knightmares, he might have already ended it by now," Cecile responded, biting her lip in worry.

"Such is the nature of war and all that. Figure out the weakness to one enemy today, but you'll never know quite what you'll be facing the next week," Lloyd mused as he watched the battle rage on.

"Yahoo, go Kallen!" One of her comrades cheered.

Ignoring them for a moment, she was about to try using a slash harken on this monster of a mech at close range, only to be dragged off of it by two of the T-eyed Knightmares. "What the hell!? This is our chance, what are yo-?!" she yelled as they pulled her away just in time to avoid two things.

The first was getting hit by the sharp edge of the Blaze Luminous.

The second was getting out of the way of the incoming rocket that zoomed right by her and hit right next to the pale mech.

If one wished to count it as a third thing, the large explosion that followed was substantial. Thanks in part to the Decepticlones burying a half dozen grenades under a thin layer of rubble, sending the prototype crashing into a building.

END OF ENTRY

"Kallen, you okay?!" Ohgi called over of the radio.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Wish I knew what frequency these guys are on. Saved my ass there from their trap," Kallen said with a small grunt as she glanced at the maroon and black machine next to her, who just starred on a head. Like her comrades, they were all staring at the smoke next to the large crater in the middle of the road. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I couldn't eject, but I got out fine. I'm heading to the rally point. Don't do anything too reckless," Ohgi called.

"Q1, do you have a visual on the enemy?" Lelouch inquired before she could respond.

Kallen shook her head, even if he couldn't see it. "No, too much smoke. I don't think he'll be shrugging that one off though."

"Should we keep firing?" One of the others inquired.

"Are they not already?" Lelouch asked with a scowl.

"They all stopped," Kallen confirmed grimly, wondering if they thought that thing was already down and out.

"...Q1, exactly where did those rockets come from?" Lelouch asked suspiciously.

"Dear god, no! Not my precious Lancelot!" Lloyd cried, looking ready to weep over the condition the computer showed his project was in. "Your first day, and I'm already going to have to rebuild most of you..."

"Suzaku needs to get out there!" Cecile declared. "His blaze luminous has become completely inoperable on the right side, and the Lancelot is nearly fifty-percent damaged."

Lloyd sighed deeply, slumping over in an almost bowing motion before picking himself up, "Several large bombs at your feet will do that. Sadly, I get the impression the boy would be too stubborn to quit just because he got roughed up a bit…being an honorary Britannian and all that."

If he could hear him, Suzaku would agree with Lloyd. More than that, he was getting angry. He finally had the tools to stop the senseless killing, to hopefully prevent Lelouch from dying if he wasn't already, but more and more obstacles prevented themselves, like these new, advanced enemies with equipment that matched or surpassed his own.

Still, trying to change a system from the inside makes one nothing if not persistent.

"Come on, let's finish him!" Kallen declared as she prepared to charge him, only for one of the Decepticlones to put a hand on her shoulder. She blinked as she looked over to see the mech shake its head.

Suzaku blinked as he watched the orange and black Knightmares all lower their weapons. The terrorists, in confusion, hesitated to fire as well.

"What the hell? Are they giving up?" One of the other terrorists asked in disbelief as they saw their apparent allies suddenly part way down the middle, as if giving their enemy a way out.

*thud*

…Or to give something else a path in.

"That's not good," Lloyd summarized with a scowl. "What on earth could they be bringing to the table now?"

*Thud*

"Footsteps?" Lelouch asked in bewilderment.

"Yeah, heavy ones," Kallen answered as she stood to the side, wondering just what they were waiting for.

*Thud!*

"...Somethings not right," Suzaku realized with a scowl. The steps were far too close to be unseen still. With that in mind, he put on the infrared vision-

*THUD!*

"Holy shit!" Suzaku cursed quickly as he saw...something, already leaping at him. He tried to jump out of the way, and succeeded.

…except for his left land spinner being cut off.

"What the hell just happened?!" A rebel yelled as they saw the dust kick up and the land spinner fall off.

"What was it, Q1?" Lelouch inquired.

"I...don't know. I saw something, like a blur, but- Wait, what is that?" Kallen asked, squinting at a light distortion.

Suzaku stared between his infrared monitor and the live feed. There looked like there was nothing there to the naked eye, unless they caught the mirage like effect, but his equipment was picking up a very large mass.

"It's cloaked?" he voiced out loud.

"It's what now?" Lloyd asked, his glasses almost falling off. They were unable to see Suzaku's infrared screen, but Lloyd clearly saw the land spinner was cut off by something.

"I thought cloaking research was abandoned due to lack of interest and progress?" Cecile asked in confusion.

"Someone didn't get the memo," Lloyd murmured.

Everyone watched with growing tension as the Lancelot stared down its former seemingly empty position.

And then, suddenly, it wasn't. The cloak faded away in an instant, making several of Kallen's allies stumble back in shock.

"No...no way," Kallen breathed with awe.

"..." Lloyd didn't say a word, merely swallowed as he watched his Lancelot stare down a Goliath.

Cecile wasn't much better, trying to imagine just where such a thing had been created without their knowledge.

There, looming over the Lancelot was a giant machine nearly twice as big as the Lancelot. The right arm had a large rocket launcher for the shoulder and the right arm itself was a large broadsword. Its head had two "eyes" that, to Suzaku, somehow excluded a feeling of sadism and malice that a mechanical entity, piloted or not, should not be capable of. Its cold steel exterior only made the giant even more intimidating.

And it was staring right down at him.

For the first time in a long time, as he sat there with wide eyes, Suzaku had to admit. He was actually scared and tempted to run away.

But he didn't have that option, cornered as he was.

His only advantage was that, apparently, this enemy wanted to fight him one on one for now.

With all the damage he had already taken, he wasn't sure that helped much.

If Carthon could have, he would have smirked. As it was, he turned his blade to the side, a subtle sign to the human that the time to comprehend his situation was officially over.

End of Chapter

Here we go! Sorry for the long wait. Had a large writers block for a while on how to do this fight scene. That and also tons of real life issus- moving, family, trying to find a job, etc.

Still, my own hype for this story has returned, so you'll hopefulyl be seeing a update a lot sooner.

I apologize for al lthe jumping around, but given the WTF situation of the Decepticlone entrance, it felt appropriate to make those scenes a bit chaotic with switching to different observes.

Now, to explain Suzuka's lack of kicking ass here? Keep in mind, this is still his first time piloting, and in canon his mech far exceeded to Sutherlands. While he has a speed advantage, the Decepticlones make it a more even fight. There's also the fact that they have energy guns, energy sheilds, and so on. No one has an energy gun yet and he's the only one with sheilds like that. In other words, they kept surprising him enough to throw him off his game at the start. So, long story short, Suzaku only has an edge on them if he can get in close without losing his landspinners. Of course, that's just against the medium units. Against light units he kicks ass, but a Command Unit has a decent shot of defeating him in most scenarios.

Speaking of Command Units? Due to my own math-guessing, I put the Comamnders at 20-22 feet tall. Medium units are 13-13.5 feet while Lancelot and Sutherlands, the standard Knightmare sizes, are 14.7 and 14.4 feet respectively. For references, this also means that the Command Units are about as big as the Gawain at 21.5 feet. Which fits since all Knightmares are based on Decepticlone technology.

So, Medium Unit is barely shorter than the average knightmare and Commander Units are as big as Gawain. worst part i I didn't even plan on that when I made my mental guesses onthe Decepticlone heights- I just based them on Optimus's height.

Anyway, that's it for now. Next chapter will switch back to Decepticlone poinnt of view primarially and we'll get to the end of the battle. Lelouch will also have some form of meeting with a/the decepticlones. As for Clovis? Meh, I'm playing that by the ear.

Hope you enjoyed Frat Heit and the rest. I love writing these decepticlones.

Review Response:

Zero: Sorry. other stories and real life issues coupled with writers block. Hope it was worth the wait.

Qwolfs- Agreed! I never meant for them to be funny, but they always come out like that and I love it!

Can'tPickAName- Not a yaoi fan, sorry. But as for Suzaku himself, no, I don't hate him. Well, in R2 I was a bit more annoyed with him, but I don't hate the guy. He's only getting kicked around a lot due to the decepticlones have imilar stats while outnumbering him and knowing everything on him. That and thisis his first time in a nightmare.

TykkiMikk- Oh yeah. Part of why they decided they needed a leader.

Asurau- Yes, it shall be epic.

Legionnas- Technically he is leader-elect. Now he just needs to get the memo.

The True Skull- Don't worry, Villeta will live for now. Also "female killer robot waifus"? You talking abotu the more female-ish decepticlones or are you talking about Kallen and others? As for the light units, I am considering that. As for the Zero-Gate thing, yes, I am working on that.

Fallen-Ryu- Yep all around! One major advantage of the Decepticlones is that Lelouch has ten High Command Units, generals eccentially, to point out any potential flaws in his plans, or reasons why he shouldn't kill off the other rebel leaders too hastily.

Not to mention the sheer reach of the decepticlones' potential for cyberwarfare. But, yes, the decepticlones are going to look into upgrading themelves in the near future now that humans are starting to get on their playing feild.

Reishin Amara- Lelouch as Predaking. Just a bit scary.
