Weiss

From the safety of Junior's car Weiss finally looked at the message from Neptune. She blinked a couple times, if they had driven past her she certainly hadn't noticed. She smiled at his concern for her safety while she typed a quick response to keep quiet and also that everything was ok. The man in the driver's seat Junior, as he had asked to be called, was quiet and focused on the road. Weiss felt bad for him; if Yang ever spoke to him again it would be quite the argument. Weiss wondered briefly if she should try to ask him about everything, she had a million questions, he probably had some answers right? Right!?

"So you and Yang…How long has that been going on?" Weiss asked casually. 'Wait WWHHHAAAAATT' she shrieked internally. She had the perfect line of questions lined up, she was going to ask them all in perfect order working up to the bigger ones, all so she could trick him into answers he might not want to give…'How did I screw this up?' she cried to herself. 'This car ride is going to suck' she decided.

Junior

Hei kept his hands exactly at 10 and 2 on the steering wheel not flinching at the question. He did however allow himself a moment to glance over at the heiress in the passenger seat confused as hell.

"Wait." He recognized that Weiss was beating herself up inside, after all it was a look he saw from Roman. A LOT. "You mean to tell me… with ALLLLLL that's going on this week, you want to ask me that?" he teased her and she groaned in return. Maybe this car ride wasn't going to suck after all, he decided…

Junior decided in the end to not tease Weiss, as much as he absolutely wanted to, he could tell she was worried. They drove in silence a few minutes before Junior decided that maybe there was some things he could explain."

"Her name is Neopolitan" Junior said breaking the silence suddenly.

"Huh?" Weiss looked over suddenly. She had been watching out the window as they drove through a small warehouse district leading away from the school and in the opposite direction of the battle site.

"The girl that disappeared. Her name is Neopolitan. Neo. Her mom and Roman's dad were siblings. When he was a three and Neo a baby, Roman's parents died, and her mom took him in even though she was already raising one baby alone. She did her best but it wasn't easy raising children like them. He's a lot more destructive than Yang is." Junior laughed a little at a memory and looked over at Weiss who was watching him interestedly. "That's when Ozpin stepped in. He had heard about them, being troublemakers and all, and about Neo's abilities. Ozpin asked them if they wanted to be part of a special program. So they agreed." Junior shrugged as he pulled up to an intersection. "The offer was simple enough. They would be trained by one of Ozpin's trusted hunters, a raggedy scythe-master who was in his mid-30s and teaching at one of the schools, I think you've met him before." Junior added. "In return they would work for Ozpin and do 'good' from behind enemy lines. He had Neo at 'doing good' and he had Roman on board when he started talking about the paychecks." Junior started to continue his story but Weiss cut him off abruptly.

"So this is all just greed-driven for him?" Weiss asked sarcastically.

"No you see that's where you're mistaken… Well… While Neo wanted to help everyone, Roman just wanted to help out his aunt. She took him in when everyone else in their family was saying just to send him away, ship him off to the military, or leave him at the doorstep of the nearest church. She worked long hours just to put some food on the table for those two just to prove to everyone else that she could do it. So he saved up and bought a nice apartment and moved out. He keeps enough money to keep the lights on and the fridge stocked and then the rest he gives to Neo. Neo gives the money to her mom as a way of paying "rent". She can show her mom her own pay and say that she's made quite a bit, and her mom doesn't feel guilty taking the amount. She doesn't know it's from him. He feels bad that it's reflected on his aunt that he's a criminal." Junior pulled the car over into a turn lane so he could enter the parking lot of his club.

"Yet every time we've met them in the past they've always attacked us. I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like a bad person to you? Attacking kids?…" Weiss interjected, though she couldn't help but feel pity for another soul outcast from their own family.

"Hey you signed up for that when you enrolled at this school princess. Besides it was Ozpin who told him not to let you win and not to go easy on you. There were bigger wheels in motion and Cinder wasn't allowed to know what he was up to. But tell me, in all the fights you've had with Roman or Neo, have either of them actually landed a blow that hurt you? Cinder's always chalked it up to believing that they just suck at shooting." Junior parked the car in his reserved spot and turned off the engine. "Usually they've just caused a distraction and ran right? Or they shot at your feet or they went to shoot and something caused them to miss suddenly. Can you think of a time when they've actually harmed any of you?"

Weiss

There was certainly a lot to process as Weiss watched Junior exit the car. She started to open her own door to get out but suddenly he was there opening it for her. She nodded a quick thank you as she got out.

Weiss stood looking at the building. Well it certainly didn't look that impressive. She wondered if this is where Yang was always talking about, because it certainly didn't look that lively. The whole parking lot was empty!

"Are you sure she would be here?" She asked

"There's a safe room in the basement, there's only two keys in existence and then there's a retinal scan." Junior said quietly as he held up his car keys and indicated to a silver key. "Roman has the other. It's reinforced to withstand all kinds of attacks but Neo can still teleport in. We've never encountered anyone else with her powers, and only a few people know the room exists. If I was her right now, I'd be here." He replied to her matter-of-factly as he held the front doors open for Weiss to enter.

Inside the club was just as dead as the parking lot. The dance floor was huge but the only people on it were a few men in vests holding mops.

"Isn't this a club?" Weiss noted sarcastically? One of the men mopping the floor looked up at her smirking at such a dumb question.

"It's a night-club sweetheart" the man called over "Night club… N.I.G.H.T… as in only open at night… We still have a couple hours befo-" he stopped talking abruptly as Junior walked up and smacked him in the back of the head.

"Let's go to my office Ms. Schnee." Junior urged as he walked around his employee. On the far end of the dance floor was the bar area and a door leading into the back. He led Weiss through the door and showed her down the hallway to his office and shut the door once they were inside. "Turn around if you will" he asked. When she was facing away he walked to the bookshelf and pulled three books forward, turned a statue of a bust to face the right. When those were in place he slid the large sconce on the wall to the left to reveal that the sconce was on a track system and that it was hiding a small camera. Junior put his face an inch from the camera and lined up his eye so it could scan. When the scan finished the bookshelf slid forward and then sideways to reveal a stairway. He quickly pushed the sconce back into place and fixed the books and the bust statue. "Alright. Let's see if she's down here".

Weiss turned around to see the bookcase moved and laughed. She noticed Junior was looking at her curiously. "My butler back home has a system like this" she explained as she walked past him and started down the stairs. Junior followed behind her and hit a button on the wall. The lights above them came on and the book case slid back into place.
