Well. It's been a long time coming but the writing is now on the wall.

I'm officially leaving the KHR fandom, so I will not be updating any of my remaining fics. Sorry guys. It's been fun, but it stopped being fun a while ago. I stopped enjoying this fandom largely because of the people in it and when I moved in I found it so much more fun and less stressful in other communities. So I'll be posting what I had planned for each of my KHR fics, I ask that people please do not copy or continue them further, I worked hard on them, they're still my babies, and Rei and I have already shared a lot with this community. Please respect our wishes, mine especially, when it comes to my fics. Do not repost or continue them, please.

It's been a fun eight years (almost exactly) since I started writing here. But the time has come to say goodbye.

UNFINISHED CHAPTER OF HOUSE OF CARDS

Little Nepent was by far the most terrifying monster he'd found so far. Huge, slavering, without eyes, and a huge maw of pointed white fangs that dominated the metre and a half fleshy stem of its body in a jeering grin. He hated them. They were scary. But at least they were weak. With no eyes to see, as long as he kept very still next to a tree they were unlikely to go for him, that way he could cut them down with ease. The problem then was that the Little Nepent with the flower was absurdly rare. Tsuna had already managed to break level ten while grinding for it, but all that had appeared was five Nepents with a fruit, and three HUNDRED with leaves. Not a single flower so far. It must have one of the lowest spawn rates on the first floor, Tsuna decided, especially if it was part of a hidden quest. He wanted to say it was not fair, but given what the quest reward was... he supposed it wasn't so bad. Still, it was a little diacoura- THERE! Tsuna darted out from under his tree and sprinted for the red flower bearing Nepent. It was shuffling further on ahead next to a fruit one. He ignored the one he didn't need, he'd been in this forest for too long as far as he was concerned, the sooner he got the ovule he needed, he was OUT. Verticals swept out through the air as Tsuna jumped and drove his whole weight behind the blow, splitting the Nepent down the middle. A flawless critical hit that immediately dropped the level three monster to zero health. He frantically checked his drop rewards and grinned when he saw the item he needed. Time to go. 000 The Anneal Blade was much heavier than Tsuna expected, but it didn't hinder his speed at all, thank goodness. And it was a lot stronger than his gladius. He got a lot of stares from the other players, but he couldn't tell if that was because he had a rare weapon or because he was a kid. It was a little hard to tell. Could have also been because he was solo, but Tir was kinda right when she said people would want to protect him if he joined a group, that would put them in danger. He could take care of himself, it wasn't like he was going to rush into the Boss rooms on his own. He'd just... stick to grinding until he was a really high level and then join the front line. Right, speaking of front line and high levels, it was time to move on from Tolbana. He'd done nearly all of the quests in the town, he just had one more NPC to talk to before leaving, and that was the Weary Traveller in the village square. Apparently he had a monster slaying quest that would make travel between the villages a bit harder, but give some good drops. The traveller was dusty and old, wearing brown leathers and a white shirt with a laced up collar. He was pacing in front of the fountain and muttering to himself when Tsuna approached nervously. "U-uhm, excuse me? Are you okay, you look like you need some help?" he asked, hoping that he had the usual trigger words. Thankfully he did, the old man turned to him, his features becoming less wooden and more natural in their movements, "Aye laddie, ye heard right," he grunted, programming likely as not registering a different question to the one Tsuna asked from his trigger words. "Lost all me goods. Them trees is CRAWLING with spiders, big as one o' them cows, I'd reckon. Whole nest of 'em. Think ye could kill the little beasties? Ye can keep me goods if ye find 'em, just make the pass safe, eh? I can't get home till they're gone, and me daughter's probably worried sick about her old man wandering monster infested lands on his own." He went still as a quest notification popped up in front of Tsuna.

PLANS FOR: HOUSE OF CARDS

God there's a lot that was planned for this fic. Like I said, I wanted to play with Aincrad a lot, explore and create multiple levels and various quests for the story. For the most part Tsuna was going to be a solo player, a bit like Kirito but mainly because as a younger player he's very conscious of the fact that if he joins a group people will try to protect him and that'll put them in danger. So he sticks to himself. He does make friends.

Eventually he joins the Clearers on the front lines. Kirito and Asuna become akin to older siblings, same with Klein and Agil and many of the other clearers. He does have a crush on Silica for a bit because she reminds him of Kyoko but as he gets to know her that too fades into sibling affection.

He will eventually become primarily a martial artist and knife user, anything with a longer reach makes him clumsy so he figures it'll be safer for everyone if he just gets in close and attacks then. His Hyperintuition eventually gifts him the Unique Skill of 'Foresight', which basically acts like the Sharingan and Byakugan combined. He can see traps lit up, enemy levels without needing the scan skill, he knows which treasure chests have good items, which ones are mimics, etc etc. It earns him the nickname 'Oracle' amongst the Clearers and he is almost always on the first scouting party for each dungeon. Knights of Blood try to recruit him but he refuses, it wouldn't be fair to the other guilts in the clearers. He continues to solo.

Outside the game, Nana uses Iemitsu's hanko stamp to divorce him, and mails the papers to him along with her wedding ring. Since the address he gave her, the CEDEF offices were bombed during the CRADLE affair, hence why none of her calls or voice mails were picked up and the number eventually was disconnected, the CEDEF were dealing with that cluster fuck. And the local post office didn't want to deliver to a known mafia location and so put all the letters she sent to him into storage, he never got any information. And when she mails the divorce papers, they too go into storage.

Nana can't afford the house without Iemitsu's money, and since she has filed the divorce papers, she is unwilling to use it. So she sells the house, gets a flat, and starts working full-time, and spends her evenings at the hospital or organising the SAO Parental Support Network. All the parents and guardians of all the people trapped in SAO receive an invitation and she makes sure they all support each other. If a child dies in the game, they band together to help with funeral arrangements, cleaning, they protect the parent from the press and even go on suicide watch to make sure they don't try to kill themselves.

When Tsuna gets out of the game, he throws himself into his physical therapy, his HyperIntuition telling him that he needs to be on top of his game. Namimori don't know what to do with him, or Shoichi who is the only other SAO player in the town. But while Shoichi basically remained in Starting City, Tsuna was a clearer. And the difference between the two is stark.

Hibari tries to pick a fight. And decides he LIKES this new Fluffy Thing. He isn't a herbivore, but he isn't a carnivore either. Or a Scavenger. He can't quite figure out what he is, just that he's strong and that's good.

Tsuna has to attend the SAO recovery school, which he prefers to Namimori. He takes the news of his mother's divorce well.

And then Reborn comes. And realises that everything went to SHIT when they weren't paying attention. Still. He can work with this.

I think I was going to have some of the SAO group replace a few of Tsuna's guardians. Asuna was definitely going to take Lambo's place as his Lightning. I planned to replace Gokudera as well but I can't remember who with. Maybe Lizbeth...

And that was all I had planned.

Again, please do not continue or repost these fics. Or regurgitate these ideas either.
