Gilbert snuck over to the sleeping Canadian on the couch; he placed the pancake on Matthew's face the way a secret agent might have.

Mattie gasped, and woke up as to be expected; he started nibbling on it.

"Mine are better, and why didn't you put maple syrup on it?" Canada asked curiously as he had just woken up.

"I didn't want you to drown. You looked unawesomely cold, so I was trying to warm you up with a pancake by the awesome Gilbert." Gil boasted.

Mattie giggled. "Normally people will turn up the heat, or use a blanket."

Matthew was content though; it was really sweet of Gilbert in a really dorky way.

"But it's much more awesome to wake up to pancakes." Gil pointed out.

"It is." Matthew agreed. "Are there anymore?" Mattie asked hopefully.

"Ja." Gilbert grinned.

Pancakes were their breakfast, but they actually had maple syrup on them unlike the pancake that had woken Mattie up.

Matthew wouldn't have Gilbert if he was anything other than his dorky and silly self.
