Previously on Dead Fairy

They were finally near the bus, but the three students weren't enough to stall the horde. Natsu calculated.

The group was 15 meters from the bus, the horde was 10 meters behind them.

10 to 5.

It dawned on Natsu they weren't going to survive like this.

He turned around, earning shouts from the group.

Chapter 5

Naaaaniiii the fuckkkk?

For the second time today, everyone was shocked and at a loss for words. What was currently happening in front of them just added to their list of this can't be possible. Yet it was.

A zombie apocalypse was happening, what was it compared to Natsu breathing fire.

Komuro P.O.V.

'What is happening?', I thought. 'Is this really Natsu?'

We were just about to board the bus when Natsu turned around. I thought he was out of his mind. Then he shouted Karyu-no-hoko, Roar of the Fire Dragon. Then suddenly a torrent of flames came out of his mouth, illuminating the area all around us. It felt like it was midday again. It's like watching a real dragon breathe fire, but dragons were myths and legends, they weren't real. Well, zombies were among that category too. I noticed everyone was also turned towards Natsu. The adrenaline in their bodies seemed to vanish as they stopped running and just watched the bright torrent of flames.

The strong roar of the flames seemed to do the work. The horde was pushed back, and they were all currently burning, some of the closest ones were now puddles of blood and organs.

I felt sick to my stomach. Sure, they were ravenous freaks out to eat our flesh, but several hours ago they were our fellow classmates and schoolmates.

I turned away from the puddle of zombie matter. I turned towards Natsu, he was still spewing fire from his mouth, for what, 30 seconds now.

Then the bright light was suddenly vanished and was replaced by the light of dusk. Natsu had stopped his attack. He turned around and looked at us, as he wiped his mouth.

"What are you all doing?!, Get in the bus," He shouted. That was enough to snap us back to reality.

All of us went to our respective seats, and Miss Shizuka immediately went for the driver's seat and started the engine. After a couple of revs, she pulled out of the parking spot and headed for the gate.

I think we may have been staring for Natsu for too long. He turned back towards us again and had a look on his face 'what?'.

"Naniii-"

"the fuckk"

We all questioned at once, I noticed Natsu and Miss Shizuka wince.

As Natsu was about to answer, Miss Shizuka spoke.

"There's people", she called our attention and pointed towards a group of people coming out from the west wing flagging us down. Miss Shizuka slowed down the bus.

"Pick them up", Natsu replied.

"No, don't!", Rei suddenly shouted, earning a look from everyone. "It's Shido, he's not good news", she said the name with disdain and disgust. I noticed Kohta's face also scrunch with disgust.

Shido, he's the professor that flunked Rei.

"I understand that your point, but he's not alone is he. They need our help", Natsu reasoned out. Rei looked defeated. It seems like she too agreed with Natsu's logic even though she wasn't very happy about it.

Natsu gave a nod towards Miss Shizuka. She maneuvered the bus towards them. Natsu opened the doors.

"Thank god, you were here", Shido said. "Quickly children", he continued as he ushered the group of students with him in. He was a rotten one. The hollowness of his words, it was all for show.

After everyone was aboard, Miss Shizuka floored it and headed towards the school gates.

"HOLD-ON!", she shouted as she rammed the school gates.

Now that we were safe and, on the road, it was time for questions. It seemed Natsu knew it too.

"Well, it's a long story", he started

TENROU ISLAND

Master Makarov P.O.V.

It had been a tough battle, but we all managed to pull through it. That's the Fairy spirit.

I guess we'll have to re-do the trials, I sighed. Things were going to be more hectic. Out of the frying pan into the fire of paper works and bureaucracy crap. Especially with Purehito, a former master of Fairytail, leader of a dark-guild. The suits were going to have his head for this.

"Master!", Evergreen called my attention. She and Elf-man were found unconscious and carried back here. Well she was awake now. She approached me, away from the earshot of others.

"Something took Natsu", she continued. I knew that the dragon-slayer was missing, that's why Erza and Gray are out there looking for him. I thought he might've have just been in the forest, but with this new information my heart filled with worry.

"Tell me more my child", I told her.

"The three of us, Natsu, Elf-man and I encountered this weird man. He seemed to be practicing dark magic. He unleashed his powers." Evergreen trailed off.

"It's okay Evergreen", I patted her back.

"Everything died around him, we were nearly hit with it, but Natsu knocked us out of the way", I could hear her silently sobbing. My fear and worry were now beyond anything.

"He didn't die, but the man, he took Natsu somewhere", she finished. Then she broke down. I continued to comfort her, and then noticed the cries, turned into sobs, and soon silence. She had fallen asleep.

I called for Levy to lay her back down with Elf-man.

"Makarov", a new voice called upon me.

I turned around and met a man with dark clothing. Each piece of clothing on his body was black. This must be the man Evergreen had told me about.

I amped up my magical power, showing him that I don't mean any funny business. That messing with my children was no joke and I won't take it lightly.

"You need not fret. I did not kill him." He said, he seemed to have read my thoughts.

"Where is he?", I asked. I kept up my aura. However, he seemed indifferent.

"He's alive. I just simply took him where he could grow", he continued. "Because of that, I also have given you a chance".

"What chance?"

"Your lives. You all would've been wiped out by Acnologia by now", he continued. I felt my blood freeze at the mention of the dragon of Apocalypse. "However, since the timeline's have been altered", he paused.

"As you can see, you're all still here", he gestured.

"I suggest returning to the mainland as soon as possible", he finished and vanished with the wind.
