"So this is... Your friend."
Hayami's mother looked at her daughter and the black haired male she had brought home.
"I told you mom, I invited a friend over to study for finals." Said Hayami.
"You never told me their gender."
"Why should that matter?"
Hayami's mother growled and sighed.
"Leave the door to your room open."
"Fine..."
Hayami led Chiba upstairs into her room.
"Chiba these math questions are too hard."
"Theres a trick to it, I'll show you."
Chiba scribbled something on a piece of paper and handed it to Hayami.
"Ah, I see..."
Hayami jotted down some notes and closed her math book.
"That should do it for math, let move onto english."
They took out their english textbooks and opened them up. Out of the corner of his eye, Chiba saw Hayami's mother staring into the room.
"Your mom is watching us."
Hayami sighed.
"Mom I can see you!"
The older woman walked away from the door, muttering something under her breath.
"Sorry about that, my mom can be bothersome..."
"Its alright." Said Chiba. "Now, english."
They had finished studying all their topics.
"That should do it." Said Hayami.
Chiba looked out the window.
"Its gotten pretty late..."
"Huh, it has."
Hayami got up.
"So, do you want to stay for dinner?"
"No thanks, my mom is expecting me to be home soon."
"Alright." Said Hayami. "Also we should be able to fit in one more study session before-"
Hayami tripped on one of her textbooks that she had placed on the floor and began to fall towards the floor.
Chiba moved to catch her, but only managed to get inadvertently pinned under his classmate.
"Ah..."
Hayami saw Chiba under her.
"S-Sorry..."
"Its okay." Said Chiba.
The door suddenly swung open and Hayami's mom stuck her head in.
"I heard a thud, whats go-"
Thats when she saw her daughter, on top of her male classmate.
"Rinka... Get off of your friend..."
"Aw crap..." Muttered Hayami.
Chiba looked at his exam results with a smile.
"Much better than the last one."
He glanced at Hayami, who was not as pleased with her exam.
"Didn't do well?"
"Not as well as I would have liked." Replied Hayami.
"Me neither but its still a good score." Said Chiba.
"We could have gotten higher grades if my mom didnt see us."
"Yeah, she called my parents and ordered them not to let me near your house. We never got to have that second study session."
Hayami sighed.
"I think you had a good shot at math..." Said Hayami. "If you were able to study you would have had a better chance-"
"Maybe... But theres always next time."
"Right... Next time."
Chiba smiled.
"Lets not think about exams right now, its Summer break, lets enjoy it."
Hayami smiled.
"Your right, lets enjoy our break..."
