Last Time: With Naruto's tale over, he and his friends discuss what happens next?

(Story Begins)

(Location: Konoha, Specific Location: With Naruto And His Friends)

"Wow! So that's what happened?!" Tenten asked in shock.

"I gotta say Naruto; you are brave if you were hitting on the Daimyo's daughter like if she was your bi-OW!" Kiba exclaimed in pain, as Tenten pressed her heel against the Inuzuka's foot.

"Watch your tone Kiba! She's our future Daimyo!" Tenten growled.

"I can't believe you would raise your voice against the Daimyo's daughter. On second thought, I can. That just proves it; you are an idiot." Shikamaru said, taking a bite from his meal.

"Yeah. But that's Naruto for ya." Choji said in agreement.

"Hey!" Naruto said in irritation.

"But still… I can't believe it… Itachi saved the village? He saved us all from his own family?" Tenten said in sadness, now realising that Itachi was a good guy all along.

"Yeah… But I haven't heard of it until now." Neji said.

"I think Granny is preparing to tell the village tomorrow in the finals," Naruto said, sadly. "But yeah, he was a hero, a real hero… I thought he was a crazy psychotic killer without a heart, but after that day, it got to me… If we had the choice, in a situation where our families would go to war against the village, who would we choose? Our family, or our village?" This question shocked Naruto's friends but did make them wonder.

"Well… If you put it that way, we really can't decide whether or not Itachi made the right decision. But, if he did it for the village, then I think he was a hero." Shikamaru said.

"It's a real shame though… I mean, if Sasuke were there, he would've found some peace in his life." Lee said. "Which reminds me, Naruto-Kun did you hear what happened to Sasuk-.".

Just then, Naruto stretched his body after he ate, got up and placed some money on the table, and said, "Well, it was nice talking to you guys, but I'm beat! I need to rest for tomorrow. See you all in the morning." With that said, Naruto left the building.

All of his friends just watched in shock as Naruto left abruptly as soon as Lee mentioned Sasuke's name. All except for a certain Nara, who replied in the situation, "So he's still upset over what Sasuke had done, huh?".

"Yeah… He is." Neji said.

"He keeps referring Sasuke as his last name, not by his first name anymore," Tenten said.

"And he does the same thing with Kakashi-Sensei and Sakura," Choji added.

"Hmmm…" Shikamaru hummed with his mouth closed. "I think its got something to do with what happened two and a half years ago?" Shikamaru said.

"That's stating the obvious," Tenten said.

"It is true, but I thought Naruto-Kun would forgive them by now?" Lee said.

"It takes time to repair relationships," Shikamaru said.

"Yeah… I guess so…" Tenten said as she and the others waited for the bill to come.

Unknowingly both Sakura and Ino heard the whole thing. Ino gave Sakura a sad look, and said, "He doesn't know what happened to Sasuke, doesn't he?".

"No, he doesn't. Anytime anyone brings up the Sasuke subject; he dismisses it immediately. Not that I can blame him or anything." Sakura said.

"What's wrong Forehead? You seem a little sadder?" Ino asked.

"It's just that… Well, when Naruto-Kun came back, he said some things on the way, things I heard him say. Things like, how he thinks I didn't care about him, and how I must be with Sasuke right now." Sakura replied in sadness.

"He's just a little upset Forehead," Ino said, trying to soothe the Pink-Haired Kunoichi.

"But he's right. I hurt him Ino, I did. But there's one thing for sure, I'll prove him wrong just like he roved everyone in the past, and that is a promise." Sakura said in determination.

"I sure hope you do Forehead. I sure hope you do." Ino thought Ino couldn't help but smile at her friend's determination.

(Location: Centre Of The Village, Specific Location: Arena)

In a large arena, made of wood and concrete, thousands and thousands of legions of people were grouped up in massive line-ups, heading towards the gates of the large arena.

In the arena, people were taking their seats. Nobles had their seats fitted with a large box which was meant for VIPs and Kages.

Tsunade was sitting in a box herself, more protected and more significant than any of the other boxes, and it was located on a massive tower that hovered over the arena.

The arena was the same used in the Chunin Exams years ago, but it changed when the Sand and Sound Invasion happened, forcing the Council of the village to renovate it and rebuild it from the ground up.

Besides Tsunade, sat Gaara, the newly appointed Kazekage of the village hidden in the Sands. When Gaara's father died, who was the previous Kazekage before him, the Sand village was in search of a new Kage, and Gaara was perfect for the position for his strength. At first, there were issues with this decision, mainly his former thirst for blood and death, and the fact he's only a teen made some things difficult for him, but none-the-less, he was a great Kazekage to his village.

Tsunade stood in front of a microphone, and announced, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! WELCOME TO THE ANNUAL JOUNIN SHINOBI FINALS! HERE WE HAVE SHINOBI FROM MANY DIFFERENT PARTS OF DIFFERENT NATIONS COMPETING IN THESE EXAMS! WE'LL BE WATCHING THEIR FIGHTS, FOR SHOW FOR THE KINDS OF DANGERS THEY ARE PUT UP AGAINST! MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT IS TO SHOW OUR GRATITUDE TO OUR FELLOW NEIGHBOURS AND ALLIES THAT WE ARE STRONG! WE ARE KONOHA AND THE SHINOBI NATIONS!" A huge cheer spread across the arena.

"WITHOUT FURTHER-A-DO! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!". Another massive cheer was spread around the arena, as the Jounin Exams finals had just begun.

XWF1000: I already mentioned in the past few earlier chapters that I had already planned to end the flashback sequence on chapter 13, but thank you for pointing that out. I am sorry that the flashback sequence took longer than it was meant to, especially if it has been probably around three to four years since I began that small Arc. Thanks for reviewing though.
