Disclaimer: I don't own Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter.

AN: The only reason they lost Gandalf was so that Gandalf will transform into the white wizard. Harry's appearance can't change everything. Some things in the story will not change and some things will.

Harry using Telepathy.

(Thoughts)

(Outside of Moria)

The, now group of nine, had left the mines. They were scattered just outside. Harry held onto the hobbits. His green eyes were dull, filled with pain, loss, and sorrow. The hobbits cried into his chest, shoulders, and stomach.

Boromir was attempting to restrain Gimli. The dwarf was venting his sorrow and anger. If one looked they would see Boromir was holding back his tears. He was trying to remain strong and refused to let them fall.

Legolas was farther away. He wore a look of shock and disbelief. His eyes revealed the puzzlement he was feeling. Never in a million years would he have believed he would lose the elderly wizard that way. Aragorn was the farthest. He was cleaning his sword. His face was blank but his eyes were filled with emotion. They mirrored Harry's.

Once his sword was clean he stood up and sheathed it. He then turned and looked at the others.

"Harry, get them up." He reluctantly said. (Poor things. I wish they didn't have to go through this. Especially Frodo. He'll blame himself and so will Pippin.)

"Give them a moment, for pity's sake!" Boromir yelled.

"By nightfall these hills will be swarming with orcs." He said sternly. "We must reach the woods of Lothlórien."

"He's right. Come one. We need to leave." Harry said softly.

Boromir and Gimli helped the hobbits stand. They gave them a soft look. They could see the tear tracks on their cheeks. They felt for them.

"Thank you." Harry said.

"You're welcome." Gimli and Boromir said.

Harry shifted to his wolf form. Frodo pressed against his side. The group began walking. They didn't stop until they reached the woods. Once they were a few feet in they took a break. They ate and drank before continuing.

"Stay close, young Hobbits! They say that a great sorceress lives in these woods, an Elf-witch, of terrible power. All who look upon her fall under her spell…" Gimli said loudly.

Shadow rolled his eyes. (One it is rude to insult another without proof because of a rumor. Two he's doing it within earshot of not only Legolas but the elves hiding out there. He might not know about the others but he does know about Legolas. Why do they always believe the rumors but they do. I bet a dwarf started the rumor or a jealous person.)

(Frodo…) An unfamiliar voice said in his head causing him to look around startled.

Frodo? Shadow looked at him.

"...and are never seen again." Gimli continued but the wolf focused on him

I think someone's in my head. Frodo told him. (Your coming to us.) He stopped as a pair of eyes flashed through his head. (...is as the footsteps of doom. You bring great evil here, ringbearer!)

"Frodo?" Sam looked at him

Don't worry. It is an elf with telepathic abilities. He assured Frodo. I heard some of the elves talk about her before the meeting started.

Oh. Okay. That made the hobbit calm down.

"Well, here is one Dwarf she won't ensnare so easily. I have the eyes of a hawk and the ears of a fox." The red haired dwarf bragged.

(Idiot) Shadow thought before an arrow, notched, appeared before Gimli's face.

"Oh." He said.

Soon more bows were at the ready appeared. The elves surrounded the fellowship. Legolas, despite hearing them and knowing some of them, readied his own. Only Shadow wasn't alwarmed. He was prepared for them. He knew they would underestimate him because he was a wolf.

A tall, golden-haired elf appeared. He looked at them all before his eyes landed on Gimli. He sneered at him.

"The dwarf breathes so loud, we could have shot him in the dark." He said.

"Grrr." Gimli growled at him.

(Sure. Let's just continue to insult each other, That works every time.) Shadow thought sarcastically.

The bows were down. They were still noched just in case. Legolas and the elf who spoke were the only ones to fully put away their bows. Shadow didn't release his magic. He was prepared and as much as seeing the elves made him feel guilty, he would still protect those hobbits until he drew his last breath.

"Mae govannen, Legolas Thraduilion." The elf spoke in elven. (Welcome Legolas, son of Thraduil.)

"Govannas vin gwennen le, Haldir o Lórien." Legolas said back in the same language. (Our fellowship stands in your debt, Haldir of Lórien.)

The elf, Haldir, glanced at Aragorn. "A, Aragorn in Dúnedain istannen le ammen." (Oh, Aragorn of the Dúnedain, you're known to us.)

"Haldir." Aragorn bowed his head respectfully.

"So much for the legendary courtesy of the Elves! Speak words we can all understand." Grimli shouted.

(This reminds me of vampires and werewolves. Slytherins and Gryffindors.) The wolf thought in exasperation.

"We have not had dealings with the Dwarves since the Dark Days." Haldir responded.

(I'm going to hit you both.) He thought.

"And you know what this Dwarf says to that? Ishkhaqwi ai durugnul." Gimli glared. (I spit upon your grave.

(I'm not kidding. I will not be responsible for my actions if those two idiots don't stop.) Shadow glared at them. (This is getting us nowhere.)

Aragorn grabbed Gimli. "That was not so courteous." He scolded. (I knew this would happen.)

Haldir glanced at Frodo. "You bring great evil with you." He then looked at Aragorn. "You can go no further."

He walked away. The hobbits looked at Frodo. They felt for him. It wasn't his fault that the ring chose him. Frodo looked uncomfortable. Shadow pressed his nose against the hobbit's side.

It's not you. He assured.

I know. He looked away.

If he did have a problem with you then I don't care if he is an elf. I'll hex his sorry ass like I did to Boromir. He promised.

Thank you. Frodo looked back to him and smiled.

As Shadow comforts Frodo, Aragorn followed after Haldir. He argued with him in anger.

"Boe ammen veridad lîn. Andelui ven!" He said. (We need your protection. The road is fell!)

Haldir whispered back. No one but Aragorn and the elves could hear what he said.

"Merin le telim." Aragorn responded. (I wish we may come with you.)

Once more Haldir answered so that only Aragorn could hear. The elves could as well but it was the non-elves in the group that he cared about. Not that it mattered because they talked in elven so only Aragorn and Legolas could hear.

"Henio aníron boe ammen i dululîn!" He said back. (Please, understand, we need your support!)

Legolas looked back at Frodo. His face was down. He and Shadow seemed to be having a conversation. He was upset with his fellow elves. He knew his father would have helped.

Gimli was near the others. He was having a hard time not glaring at the elves. There was only one elf he had respect for and that was Legolas. He had earned that respect. The rest the dwarf felt were jerks.

Boromir was watching Shadow. He knew how protective he was over the hobbits. His privates stung as he remembered. He felt no pity for them. He also kept an eye on the other hobbits. The mines showed him how protective they were of each other. Despite being small they had huge hearts.

Aragorn continued to argue with Haldir, loudly. "Andelui ven." (The road is very dangerous.)

The elf left after that. As they waited Boromir went over to Frodo. He could see that Frodo didn't fully believe whatever Shadow had said. He looked into the brunette's eyes.

"Don't give up hope Frodo. I know you feel guilty over Gandalf's death. Don't let it be in vain. He gave his life so you could live. Don't carry the weight of the dead. It will do you no good." He told him.

He's right Frodo. I once made that mistake. It almost killed me. His thoughts were on Sirius.

The redhead wondered what happened but he didn't ask. He respected the wolf's privacy. Frodo hugged Shadow.

"Thank you." He then hugged Boromir. "Thank you both."

You're welcome. Shadow said.

"Anytime." Boromir said.

After that they waited. It wasn't that long until Haldir returned. He was looking less than happy.

"You will follow me." He said reluctantly.

The elves led the fellowship along a ridge, through the golden woods. Shadow stayed at Frodo's side. Boromir kept an eye on the hobbit as well. Soon the group came to the end of the high ridge. They looked out at the glade of trees that raised above them.

"Caras Galadhon… the heart of Elvendom on Earth. Realm of the Lord Celeborn and Galadriel, Lady of light." Haldir told them proudly.

Lady Galadriel is the one who spoke to you earlier Frodo. Shadow said once he heard her name.

I see.

The group climbed the long winding path among the trees. They walked the path until night fell. In the blue glow of the moon light they climbed a twisting staircase, about the trunk of a tree, past glimmering lights of silver and blue.

The fellowship passed numerous platforms and came to a great palace in the trees. A curving walkway led them to a low stair and finally an archway.

The group gathered in front of the arch as Haldir stepped to the side. A glowing couple stepped into view. Shadow stared off to the side. He shifted to his human form.

"Dobby?" He breathed out as tears gathered in his eyes.
