This is just a short little Skye/Fitz drabble that I wrote when I had some free time :)

I made the plot up on the spot, so sorry if it's a little shabby. I've also only given it a little once-over, no more, so sorry for any errors.

So, review and enjoy!

Coffee and Tea

It was the third time that Skye had woken up on that fateful night, but it would thankfully be the last.

She sat up, stretched out her arms so they touched the wall of her bunk, and ran a hand through her messy brown hair. She yawned, and closed her eyes for a split second, trying to blink the sleepiness out of them.

Then she checked her alarm clock – it was three minutes past three in the morning. A reasonable time to collect a mid-night snack.

No one was in the corridor as she exited her bunk, and Skye's stripy socks made no sound as she pressed the button to close the door. She yawned again, pressing her hand against the door to steady herself as she did. Maybe as a reflex, maybe as second nature, she glanced over to the next bunk over – Fitz's.

The door was wide open.

'Probably at the lab again' Skye thought to herself, letting herself display a secret smile before she turned, making a beeline for the room she thought Fitz to be in.

Sure enough, when she reached the glass-panelled room, Fitz was sitting on a workstool, tinkering with a small piece of electronics that seemed to be a miniature circuit board.

"You're up early,"

Fitz almost fell off his stool, hitting his arm against the workbench. Skye supressed another smile, and walked over to him. "Jesus, Skye!" he complained, rubbing his elbow. "You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

"Ah, sorry," Skye rolled her eyes and peered over Fitz's work. "What was keeping you up today then?"

"Just Grumpy's circuitboard," Fitz sighed, placing the tiny electronic down and standing up. "I was working on it in my bunk but I needed this screwdriver-thingy."

"You're probably what kept waking me up then," Skye grinned, catching Fitz's eye. "I was about to get some coffee, if you want to join me?"

"Oh, no, not coffee," Fitz cut in quickly. "Tea, please."

"What is it with Brits and tea?" Skye thought aloud. She turned to go to the kitchen, but Fitz caught her arm. Her head swirled, nearly clocking her companion with a face full of messy brown hair, but Fitz was quick enough to duck.

And, anyway, he obviously had something else on his mind as he leaned in, brushing her lips with his. Skye let her eyes flicker shut, but Fitz pulled away quickly- too quickly.

"So you do like coffee," Skye murmured, raising her eyebrow at her boyfriend, who was a little pink but shrugged all the same. "You've been leading me on for months. Months."

"Come on," Fitz cut her off. "Lets go get some tea."
