Meelo has a big crush on Asami. Everyone on Air Temple Island is aware of this fact. Ikki and Jinora tease Meelo nonstop. Asami is a little uncomfortable with this situation. Mako thinks it is hilarious, but painful. Bolin finds it terribly adorable. Korra is relieved; Meelo no longer has a crush on her. He no longer follows her on his air scooter. Now, he has a new target: Asami.

He thinks Asami is remarkable. She is very tall and very beautiful. She dresses like a princess. She walks and talks like one, too. She smells nice and so does her hair, which is also really shiny.

Meelo thinks he has game; he thinks that he does a better job of talking to girls than both Mako and Bolin combined. He likes the direct approach, telling Asami that she is beautiful and establishing that by requesting a lock of her exquisite glossy hair.

Meelo judges that he will make a better boyfriend for Asami than Mako, on whom Meelo has declared a war. Every time he sees Mako in the halls, Meelo either ambushes the firebender guerrilla style or knocks him down with his air scooter.

Meelo also has a battle strategy. No crazy eyebrowed dude is going to be with his lady. He will make Mako look like a loser. He will play dirty. He will pull out the big guns: sabotage. Meelo will scare Mako away and win Asami's beautiful heart. Asami will become his girlfriend and then he will marry her. They will move to the Eastern Air Temple, where they will raise air bison. They will have five children (all boys, no girls because girls are gross and have cooties) and Meelo will become king of the lemurs; they will become his minions. Their job would be to keep Mako far away from Meelo's domain.

Pema thinks it is very cute that her son has a crush on Asami. She is relieved; she thinks he has good taste, but Pema is also worried. She knows that Asami has a boyfriend and wants to date men older than Meelo. Pema also finds it a little creepy how Meelo trails Asami everywhere. She wants to tell Meelo to 'back off' and to give Asami space, but she knows her little hyper airbender will never listen to her. Pema decides to enlist the aid of her husband.

When Tenzin hears the news about Meelo's crush, he is surprised. Apparently, not everyone on Air Temple Island was knowledgeable about Meelo's infatuation with the Sato girl.

Tenzin listens to his wife's worries and ensures her that he will speak to their son. Pema smiles, kisses her husband on the cheek and leaves. Tenzin sighs and rolls up the scroll he was reading before Pema interrupted him. He begins to search for the rambunctious child.

Tenzin finds Meelo sprawled on the floor of the meditation site. Meelo is not meditating, of course. The boy never meditates. Instead, he always manages to fall asleep in the meditation site, but not today.

Today, he is busy working on something. He is surrounded by dozens of pieces of paper, an assortment of different colored paints and paintbrushes (some broken, some chewed). With his tongue sticking out, Meelo is bent over a sheet drawing something. He hears his father's footsteps and looks up. Tenzin notices that there is a smear of lime green on Meelo's left cheek.

"What are you drawing there, son?" Tenzin sits down next to Meelo.

"Mine and Asami's future home. It's going to be very big and very colorful. It's going to be a castle just for me, the King of the Lemurs, and my Queen."

"That sounds very nice." Meelo nods and keeps on drawing. Tenzin prods on. "I know you have a crush on Asami. Your mother says that it's very obvious and she also thinks you should stop."

The boy looks up. His eyebrows are raised and he dons a confused expression. He crinkles his nose. "Why?"

Tenzin tries to reason with the kid. "Meelo, Asami is older, a lot older than you."

"So?" Meelo does not see a problem with this because Asami is timeless.

Tenzin continues, "One does not simply date older women. You go for the younger ones. It's an Air Nomad tradition."
