I'm working on updating my oldest stories, Room is in the making, guys! The next chapter will be out shortly. It's taking a little longe because in order to write Room I have to have the book and watch the movie at the same time, so be patient, it'll be worth it.

Chloe had done all her studying for the day by 4:20, so she took a shower, got dressed, didn't put on too much makeup — after all, this wasn't a date — and by the time 4:30 rolled around, she was ready. She hadn't seen Beca in the Bellas house all day and, though a tiny part of her, the part that was still in doubt about Beca's situation, felt bad about this, she tried pushing it off of her mind and grabbed her purse, deciding to go by foot to the coffee shop, since it was close — hence why it was the Bellas' regular coffee shop.

The place wasn't crowded, there were lots of empty tables and the others had either two or three people. It was a quiet atmosphere most of the time, that's why the girls went there often, to study or to just be in peace when the house was too loud.

Chloe sat at an empty table next to the window and just looked out, wondering when the brunette would get there. A waitress came but Chloe didn't order anything, claiming she was still waiting.

"Hey."

Chloe jumped — literally jumped — and slapped the table out of fright as Beca spoke next to her. She put her hand over her heart as if to steady it as the brunette sat down across from her with a smile.

"How long have you been here?" Beca asked.

"How did you come in?! I've been watching the door for the last 10 minutes!" Chloe said.

Beca had an amused face, mostly because of Chloe's shock at seeing her there.

"Well I pushed the double doors opened, just like every other human being here." Beca said.

Chloe looked even more confused, her breath and heartbeat coming back to normal.

"I've been here since 4:20." Beca cleared it up for Chloe, seeing the redhead's puzzled look.

"Oh!" Chloe said and Beca chuckled. "Why so early though?"

Beca shrugged.

"I wanted to work on two more songs and I figured this would be the best place since I would meet you here at 5 and it's peaceful." Beca said.

"Well where's your laptop?" Chloe frowned.

"I didn't bring it, I was writing those two songs." Beca said, showing Chloe her notebook, which she put under her bag on the seat next to her.

"Oh! So you've got more songs?" Chloe asked and Beca nodded. "Can I see them?"

"Oh… I actually want to finish them before.. showing or singing to anyone.. if you don't mind." Beca said, a little apprehensive and shy.

"No that's fine." Chloe said. "Just promise you'll show me?"

"It's a promise." Beca nodded and Chloe smiled.

"So where were you? Why didn't I see you when I came in?" Chloe asked.

Beca giggled, seeing the redhead wouldn't let go of that so soon.

"I went to the bathroom." Beca said and Chloe nodded.

The waitress approached again and the two ordered some coffee and Beca ordered waffles.

Chloe looked at Beca, who was playing with the rings on her finger and she could see the girl was nervous. She looked up on the inside of her sleeve, on her forearm and saw endless scars and bruises fading, probably from the time she ODD'd or from the time she still did drugs.

"Beca, I.." Chloe sighed as Beca looked up at her. "Listen.. that time at the retreat.. I was such a bitch to you and Stacie was such a bitch to you and I'm so fucking sorry. We don't know what was going on in your head and to hear you were actually trying to kill yourself.."

Chloe bit her lip to stop the tears that were already in the corner of her eyes. She blinked a few times, looking up before looking back at Beca.

"I'm sorry I wasn't a better friend for you when you needed me."

Beca offered her a sympathetic smile and grabbed Chloe's hands with hers.

"Chloe—,"

"— No, please let me finish." Chloe said and Beca nodded. "I'm sorry that Stacie made you sleep out of the tent, I'm sorry Stacie and I attacked you, I'm sorry I said it was stupid that you were trying to kill yourself because you didn't want to be gay but most of all, I'm sorry that I didn't insist that much harder on getting through to you."

By the end of her speech, both her and Beca were crying. The brunette silently stood up from her seat and sat next to Chloe, hugging her tight as they cried onto each other's shoulders.

"It's not your fault." Beca whispered.

The two remained in each other's arms for what felt like hours, but when they did finally calm down, the two broke the hug and just looked at each other. Beca cupped Chloe's cheek and caressed her cheek.

"I promise you, I'll never do that again. I'll never break you again because it hurts me too much to see you like that." Beca said.

Chloe couldn't say anything, so she just nodded and Beca went back to her seat, wiping her tears.

The girls were leaving the café and it felt so much lighter. Everything did. The truth was out, Beca was definitely back to her old self. Sure, she'd sweat more than usual and she seemed nervous, always itching her arms but she was back. She explained she still suffered with abstinence. Not that she would ever go back to drugs but she did do them, her body was feeling the lack of drugs.

There were days where Beca had to be absent but she explained to the Bellas that she'd enrolled in a rehab for drug addicts and she'd have to go to their meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. At first, the Bellas were suspicious but when the brunette was back the time she said she'd be back, sober, they relaxed.

Chloe knocked on Beca's door late at night when she couldn't sleep. She needed to talk to the brunette, the thought of her twisting and turning on her bed, sweating like a pig and wanting just another ounce of heroine or any other drug, made her sick to her stomach.

"Beca? Are you awake?" she asked.

"Come on in." Beca said.

Chloe came in and she gasped at the sight. Beca was sweating and her room looked messy. There were clothes everywhere and Beca was sitting on the floor, looking for something.

"I know I have another bag in here somewhere, I just need to find it. Can you help me?" Beca asked.

"Bag of what?" Chloe asked.

"Heroine, Chloe. I need it." Beca said, and she was shaking.

"Beca, you've been doing so well, you can't go back to drugs!" Chloe said.

"I know, I can't, I won't, I just need a little bit more so I can be okay." Beca said.

"Beca, look at me." Chloe said, putting her hands on her shoulders. "You'll be okay. You don't need drugs."

"I do, Chloe, you have no idea. I hate this, I hate that I did drugs once, now I feel like I need them all the time!" Beca said, starting to cry. "I don't wanna let you down, I don't wanna let the Bellas down, but I need this, Chloe."

"You don't, you really don't." Chloe said. "You've been doing so well, don't mess this up now."

Beca cried and threw herself on Chloe's arms. The redhead seemed surprised by it but didn't complain any further. She just held the younger girl and let her cry and shake on her shoulder.

"You'll be okay. You're titanium." Chloe whispered.

Beca calmed down and looked at Chloe.

"You're so nice to me even after everything I've done." she said. "I don't deserve you."

Chloe smiled.

"You deserve good things." she said. "Therefore, you deserve me."

Beca smiled and wiped her tears.

"Can I kiss you?"

Chloe looked nervous. She didn't even have time to respond before Beca cut her off.

"Sorry, sorry, I shouldn't have asked, you probably don't even want to." she said. "All I do is stupid things, I'm so stupid."

Chloe chuckled before she grabbed Beca's face and placed a sweet, light kiss on her lips before pulling apart.

"Wait, what was that?"

"That was a kiss." Chloe said in a duh tone.

"But I thought you were gonna wait to see if I'm worth going on a date with." Beca sniffed and wiped her tears.

"Well, you are. And I wanna go on a date with you." Chloe said.

"Really?" Beca smiled.

"Really." Chloe chuckled. "What happened was unfortunate but I see you're getting better and you're making a lot of effort."

"I am. I'm sorry about earlier, I don't wanna go back to drugs but sometimes it feels like my body needs it." Beca said.

"I know, it's abstinence. And we all are gonna help you through it." Chloe said. "Now delete the number of your dealer from your phone and don't ever get in touch with him again."

Beca nodded.

"I've paid my debt and done that." she said.

"Great." Chloe said. "And I need your house keys for the night."

"Why?" Beca frowned.

"Because I don't want you getting out of the house in the middle of the night to go look for drugs." Chloe said. "None of the girls will leave their keys on the door while you're in rehab."

"Okay. Fair enough." Beca said, getting up and out of Chloe's embrace to fish out her keys from her purse. "Here."

Chloe grabbed the keys and smiled.

"I love how you trust me."

"I have to. You've given me no reason no to." Beca smiled and sat back down in front of her.

Chloe smiled.

"Just so we're clear, Beca, I trust you too." Chloe said. "You're showing me you're worthy of my trust again."

"Great. I am, Chloe, I'll show you you can trust me. On our date, I'm gonna sweep you off your feet."

Chloe chuckled and blushed.

"You're not scared right? You don't have to be scared of going out with me, or even liking me, Beca." Chloe said. "There's nothing wrong about that." Chloe grabbed her hand and played with her fingers.

"I know. And I also know you're nothing like Dylyn." Beca said. "You would never throw me under the bus."

"Never." Chloe agreed, bringing her hand up and kissing the back of it. "So are you up for some sushi this Thursday after rehab?"

"Sure, I'll pick you up." Beca smiled.

"You like sushi, right?"

"Of course I do, but for you, I'd eat cement." Beca said.

Chloe chuckled.

"I'll never make you eat cement, don't worry." Chloe said. "But it's sweet of you to say that."

Beca smiled and Chloe kissed her cheek.

"I'm going to sleep. Be well." she said. "If you want, I'm right downstairs."

Beca nodded.

"Thanks." Beca said, standing up and going to her bed. "Night, Chlo."

"Night Becs." Chloe smiled and turned off the lights before leaving.
