DEMON TRAPPED

By: Vanessa Sgroi

Dean pulled ineffectually against his too-tight restraints, a steady string of curses tumbling from his bloodied mouth.

The demon held up the red hot poker he held in one fist and admired its fiery glow for a moment.

"Listen, pal, you can just stick that where the sun don't shine," Dean muttered, his face full of a lifetime of contempt.

The demon's smile was wicked. Feral. Full of unadulterated evil. "Oh, I plan to, Dean. I plan to. I'd say enjoy it but...well, you might find it a tad...painful."

Dean fought not to flinch as the demon strolled closer, stopping too close, triggering a sense of claustrophobia. The choking scent of sulfur filled Dean's nostrils.

"But I guarantee, I am going to enjoy it very, very much."

"Oh," Sam's low gravelly growl sounded behind the demon, "I doubt that very, very much." A blade skewered the demon's neck.

White lightning, hotter than the sun, coursed through the demon's meat suit, arcing his body in jerky convulsions before it dropped to the ground.

"Whew—cuttin' it close there, Sammy. I was beginning to have visions of becoming a giant Dean kebob."

"Sorry 'bout that. There was traffic."
