This begins where "Friday the 13th: A New Beginning" left off. Tommy Jarvis kills Pam Roberts with his knife, then exits the room. A doctor finds the door to Tommy's room open and finds Pam's corpse hanging on the ceiling. Just then, Tommy, wearing a boiler suit similar to Jason's, impales the doctor with a machete, then drags his corpse away. Later, Tommy stops at Pinehurst and kills everyone in it, sparing no one. Over time, public worry arises again, and the public fears that Jason has returned for real. A few days later, a team of paranormal hunters called "The Coopers" is called to Crystal Lake to investigate the killings. At Camp Crystal Lake, The Coopers find a cabin filled with the bodies of Tommy's victims. Right about then, Tommy walks in and begins slaughtering the paranormal hunters one by one, with their leader, Johnny Bateman, escaping. Tommy gives chase and Johnny leads Tommy into the woods. Tommy finds Johnny hiding behind a tree, armed with a tree branch. Johnny begins mercilessly beating Tommy, who fights back. Before Tommy can kill Johnny, however, he impales Tommy with the branch, killing him, then removes the mask, revealing his true identity. Police arrive and recover the body, with a news reporter covering the story, and ending it by saying "the legacy of Jason Voorhees is over, forever".
