A/N: For Gwen Gamgee (Guest), a nibble of when Chad helps out the new transfer students, kind of falls in line with Ch89.

Enjoy!

"Are you going to the History of Goodness 101 that Chad is running?" Evie was sure she hadn't heard Dizzy correctly. She turned, silenced in her shock to see Dizzy, Hector Hades and Claudine Frollo scuttle down the corridor, their animated conversation made her slap Mal's arm repeatedly until the three were out of ear shot.

"Ow. What?" Mal grabbed Evie's still moving hands and stared at her expectantly.

"Did you hear that conversation?" Evie gaped.

"No… I was too busy telling you about the visit to Charmington I have to endure." Mal said drily, lightly pulling on Evie's arm to get her moving again.

"Charmington! This was about Chad." She stuttered. "Chad is running 101 classes!?"

"No he's not. That would involve Chad taking his nose away from his reflection and helping someone. Don't be silly." Mal said patiently, steering Evie past disgruntled students into class.

~Chad~

"Okay, have you made the right notes?" Chad was moving through the small knot of students as they sat themselves down in an empty classroom. "Today is a recap of History of Goodness, just so you're ready for your exams in the next few weeks." Chad sat in the front row, turned back to face the collection of kids.

"Chad?" A hand raised and he caught the eye of Hector.

"Yes?"

"I didn't understand the section on the decline of apple sales at the banishment of the Evil Queen?"

"Good question, the logic being that the Evil Queen no longer resided in Auradon, why did sales still fall?" The mass of pale blue hair nodded. "Unfortunately the Evil Queen did a lot of damage in her original kingdom, and unfortunately for apple sales they became her symbol. Experts have pressed that the terror she wrought on her people embedded itself quite deeply. Snow White had a fear of apples, and while she may not have broadcast her feelings it became evident that when the new Queen wasn't eating them then her people wouldn't eat them either."

There were various threads of conversations continued like this for an hour, with different conversations including the pardon of Eugene Fitzherbert, the segregation of the classes in the newly established Auradon and the autonomy of the previous kingdoms and monarchies.

"Okay, so now we're going to discuss the infrastructure of the Isle." Chad said in the lull of chatter and the others looked at him in surprise. "Well I'm teaching you about Auradon, it seems only fair that I learn about the Isle as well?"

Chad was nervous about bringing up that he wanted to know about the Isle. Until meeting Dizzy he had been happy in the ignorance that everybody on the Isle was evil and deserved their place on that hellish spit of land. Then he met his cousin and after a bit of the standard bluff, bravado and snobby anger, he genuinely came to like the crazy little ball of energy that whizzed her way round Auradon prep. When he had found her crying under the bleachers because she couldn't pass classes and most of the teachers didn't expect her to pass classes then he started to help.

"Well, what do you want to know first?" Dizzy said, noting her cousin's tense shoulders and nervous glances and jumped in. "We can tell you about Dragon Hall?"

"What's Dragon Hall?"

"Dragon Hall is one of the schools on the Isle, it has a fierce rivalry with Serpent Prep on the other side of the Isle." Chad moved from the front of the room to the huddle of students as they each chipped in various stories about their upbringing.

"Hey, Ben can we talk a moment?" Chad had caught Ben's arm before he disappeared into his dorm room, one of the few moments the King wasn't with Mal or Jane.

"Yeah of course. Come in, I've got to change from the State Meeting." Ben ushered his old best friend into the room. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, what's going on with Isle Programme at the moment?" Chad asked as he moved idly around the room.

"Why?" Ben was guarded; Chad hadn't been the greatest supporter of the Isle Programme, in fact he'd been a volatile opposer of bringing over the second generation from the Isle, until one day he had stopped suddenly. Ben was never one to look a gift horse in the mouth and he never questioned the princeling on his change of behaviour.

"Is it still running, or are there no other children to bring over?" Chad hadn't looked at Ben once, instead he was studying the various photos that now littered Ben's room.

"Again, why?"

"Did you know Dragon Hall's roof leaks? The classrooms are in the dungeons which are absolutely fetid." Chad was still absent minded. "Dragon Hall is the school by the way, Dizzy was telling me that the streets are littered with everything we could imagine, and everything we couldn't as well." Chad's gaze had moved to a picture of the launch of the Isle Programme as words continued to trip forwards. "Claudine was saying that her Dad still makes her shin up the crumbling tower on the Isle to check the bell ropes, he's obsessed with bells."

"Chad?"

"Hmm, yes? Oh cool, you got the latest version of Devil's Bandit, hey can I play this some time?"

"Chad, how do you know about Dragon Hall and the tower?"

"Oh, they told me. Duh. During the revision sessions, we ended up discussing the Isle. So anyway, I need to know if more kids are coming so I can plan which lesson plans will need to be reiterated. Also, if there's not we need to up the stuff that gets sent to the Isle." Chad clapped his hand on a stunned Ben's shoulder and smiled. "Should I talk to Evie about it? I mean, I know I'm not her favourite person but Dizz said I should go through Evie, I said I should talk to you because it would need your sign off."

"Erm, yeah… talk to Evie?" Ben's words were slow, still processing the words from Chad's lips. "If you come up with a list of the necessary charity, I will approach the Treasury?"

"Great, see you at practice!" Chad smiled again and left the room, leaving a stunned and bemused Ben in his wake.
