Chapter 19: A life planned

Begin.

(Flashback)

Naruto smiled as he looked around the guild, the place he called his home after some years. Everyone was drinking and having fun like any other day.

Naruto sighed as he leaned on the second floor rails as he recalled meeting Hades earlier in the day and how he wanted Naruto to return from his surveillance mission he was given.

"Why so serious boy." Naruto looked to his right to see Fairy Tail's master looking at him with a smile. "Don't tell me becoming a father is getting to you."

"Nah… I'm actually excited for little Naruto to come." Naruto said with a smile.

"You think it's a boy?"

"Well I'm betting Erza-chan that it's a boy." Naruto said looking at his one and a half month pregnant fiance lecturing Natsu and Grey.

"Can't believe you both are going to be parents so young."

"Well we have been dating for a while master, you think we would have just stayed holding hands all this time?" Naruto said with a perverted chuckle. "Either way, being an S Class mage has some up sides. I own my own home and still have tons of savings if I ever need it."

Makarov sighed as he shook his head at Naruto. Naruto smirked at Makarov who smirked back.

"You really changed things here for the better, boy." Makarov said as he turned his towards his children enjoying a day at the guild. "I look at Mira, Erza and Natsu… and I feel grateful for what you did."

"I'm actually glad that Mira and Natsu were able to bounce back from the grief of losing Lisanna. She was too kind and sweet to accept anyone being sad for her." Naruto said smiling at Mira. He felt glad she became closer with her guild and actually changed for the better. She became kind and less sadistic, which Naruto appreciated the most.

"Kid…" Naruto looked down at his master who looked serious. "Thank you for joining my guild."

"Don't be so serious. I like it when you're drunk and clumsy instead." Naruto teased only for him to continue looking at Naruto with those serious eyes.

"I know, I just feel pleased knowing someone like you will continue to take care of mine and my predecessor's guild." Makarov said as a smile formed on his face. "...possibly as the next master."

Naruto looked down to see if Makarov was just playing with him, but his face said otherwise. Naruto shook his head as he smiled.

"Nah gramps, I'm too young to be stressed out by these guys." Naruto said with a smile. "Also, wouldn't Gildarts or Laxus be ahead of me?"

"No one can ever get Gildarts to stay in one place for too long." Makarov said with a smile. "And Laxus is not ready just yet."

"And I'm not telling you to be the next master immediately. I'll teach you everything you'll need to know before I feel assured in passing it on to you." Naruto sighed and smiled at the old man. He sure was stubborn when he decided on something. Naruto just shook his head before standing up.

"You really are something gramps. Well I'll think about it." Naruto said before heading downstairs to go see why Erza is blushing.

(Flashback End)

"Master…" Ultear came in to see her master after being sent on a mission to retrieve one of the last keys needed to awaken Zeref. She asked Capricorn where master was only to be sent into the interrogation room.

"Ah Ultear, good to see you come back safe." Hades said as he turned to look back at Ultear for a bit, only to turn back towards Naruto. His arms were chained to the ceiling as his upper body was bare, showing the wounds Zancrow was causing him.

"Ah your back, can't you use your time magic to heal him or something. This guy keeps fainting and it isn't funny anymore." Zancrow said with a grin, staring back at Ultear.

"Why…" Ultear ignored Zancrow and looked at her master with a shocked expression.

"Naruto discovered his daughter's existence…" Hades told Ultear who looked at Naruto with a shocked expression. That expression quickly changed to guilt as she noticed Naruto's eyes and staring at her. His eyes closed as he succumbed back into unconsciousness.

(Flashback)

"Master Hades, who was that girl?" A young Naruto said as he and his master walked away from the dark purple-haired girl. She was so occupied reading a huge book, that she completely ignored Naruto who tried to greet her. "She was rude!"

"She is just studying a powerful magic called Arc of Time." Hades said to the shorter Naruto who looked back to look at the girl. Pain stricken eyes and a deep frown as she continued to read her book. Naruto frowned before turning back and walking toward Ultear.

"My name is Naruto Uzumaki, nice to meet you." Naruto said with a grin.

Ultear looked up from her book before ignoring Naruto again and continuing with her book.

"Hey! Well I know you are listening so pay close attention." Naruto said with a smirk as he pointed towards his chest. "My old master Pervy Sage once told me that if a girl is ever sad, I'll have to do whatever it takes to make her smile again."

"So better remember my promise to make you smile. Since I never go back on my word." Naruto said with a smile as he walked away not realizing Ultear was looking at him.

(Flashback End)

Naruto's eyes slowly opened, as he noticed Hades sitting there, reading a book. Hades looked up from his book and smiled towards Naruto.

"Well good that you are awake, my boy!" Hades said with a smile. Naruto just silently stared at Hades who stood up to walk towards Naruto. Naruto, still feeling the pain Zancrow caused, refused to show any agony. He watched as Hades stood in front of him, before his left hand began to glow.

The chains the restrained loosened enough for him to land on the floor.

"I don't feel any joy on what I did, my boy." Hades said in a way that Naruto felt mocked him. "But I didn't ask for much, did I."

Naruto sat there silent as Hades continued.

"You are useful to me, I don't want to dispose of a weapon as sharp as you," Hades added as Naruto's hand began to tremble. "All I want to know is how?"

"How were you able to decipher such a powerful spell I had on you?" Hades asked before Naruto looked up and glared at Hades.

"You used me…" Naruto said weakly as Hades chuckled.

"Well yes, I have." Hades admitted. "I used you the moment I discovered your connection to the Silver-threaded witch, Kaguya."

"But I'm no worse than Konoha or Fairy Tail." Hades quickly put his hand, motioning Naruto to let him finish. "And yes, those memories of Konoha were altered by me."

"The memories I gifted you were their true feelings, Naruto. I even adopted Sarutobi's method to keep you in line." Hades said as Naruto looked away from Hades. "By becoming someone you feel safe with and can rely on, I became your wielder."

"But for some reason you feel I am in the wrong?" Hades said as Naruto finally noticed that a purple energy was covering a section of the room. The energy decimated as a cradle appeared. Hades smiled at the child before picking it up.

"You see, this child of yours was born from an Uzumaki," Hades began as he stared down at Naruto. "Those who were born with more magic than any other human in this world."

"And to add, you were born with a fraction of Kaguya's power within you, thanks to your parent's sacrifice." Hades said as Kushina began to awaken.

"And finally, the one who you decided to have with is Erza of all people." Hades said with a chuckle. "Someone who still has not reached her potential."

"I was going to allow you to stay in Fiore, until I felt glances of this child's power before leaving her mother's womb." Hades looked down at the child who rubbed her eyes after being woken up. She smiled at Hades before noticing Naruto on the floor. His eyes widened looking at her, as tears threatened to fall. She quickly buried her head on Hades' collar before peaking at Naruto.

"Her being born was a huge risk for everyone you cared for."

"I could protect her from anyone!" Naruto screamed as Hades continued.

"Your power is undeniable, but can you reassure me that you can defeat a seasoned veteran like Bluenote," Hades said as he noticed Kushina eyes meeting Naruto's. "How about me, can you beat me?"

"If I… I wasn't like this, I would destroy you and everyone around you." Naruto said, as his hands glided over his bruised ribs.

"Your magic warps Space and connects to a parallel world to our own, yet you are unable to use it to its full potential," Hades said. "Fighting me would only end with you bending the knee."

"So I will give you time to think about it." Hades said as he began to walk away from Naruto. Naruto tried to stand up and reach Hades, but a chain grabbed his left wrist.

"Please… let me see her." Naruto pleaded only for Hades to turn towards him. Kushina looked at Naruto and quickly buried her head on his shoulders.

"Sorry, Kushina is a little shy when it comes to strangers." Hades said with a smile as Naruto was dragged towards the wall. Hades closed the door as Naruto began screaming and cursing, but he gave it no mind. Kushina peaked back at Naruto's room, before turning to Hades.

"Don't worry Kushina, He's just cranky." Hades said with a smile as he took her to her room.

Erza felt exhausted.

After leaving Naruto stuck on that tree, she went over and fought Midnight of the Oracion Seis with a newly awakened Jellal. She didn't know how he was back after what Naruto did, but she was still thankful. He was suffering from amnesia and went on to help Natsu defeat the leader of the Oracion Seis, who would also be dead if not for Laxus' help.

Then after that, the Rune Knights came after the big fight happened, which annoyed her. Members of both Lamia Scale and Blue Pegasus were both injured while the knights waited after to intervene.

They took Jellal away along with Hoteye. Natsu tried to defend both Jellal and Hoteye, but Erza stopped things from being escalated.

"Actually Titania, we actually came here to question you as well." Natsu and the rest of Fairy quickly turned to the glasses-wearing Commander of the Rune Knights.

"What do you wish to know?" Erza questioned with caution.

"Did you kill Naruto?" He questioned carefully. "If so, I would like to remind you that murder is against the law, even if they are Dark Mages."

"I didn't kill Naruto," Erza quickly answered. "He was too powerful to try to contain, even with the help of powerful mages like Natsu and Laxus. So I had no choice but to severely wound him and entrap him. If he died from blood loss, I won't accept any blame."

"And why is that?"

"Nirvana was activated and I had to help my comrades." Erza said with a glare.

"...I understand." Lahar said with a nod before turning away. Erza sighed heavily before turning away herself. Lucy tried to call out to her, but Natsu stopped her.

Erza walked away from her teammates, deeper into the forest. She only stopped when she felt she was alone, and dropped to her knees. She ran her hands through her hair before slamming her head on the tree.

"Don't tell me that Titania feels some guilt in defeating Blind Blade, Naruto Uzumaki." Erza quickly turned around to see a hooded figure leaning on a seperate tree.

"You again…" Erza said as her tired eyes scanned the hooded figure.

"Yes, I came to congratulate you on defeating the one you wanted most dead." The hooded figure said with a chuckle. "So what next?"

"So what comes next after defeating the man that nearly destroyed all of Fairy Tail." The hooded figure said as he walked toward Erza. "The man you swore revenge upon."

Erza stayed quiet as he approached her. He kneeled down, so Erza could see his eyes. Under the hood, his eyes were mostly covered in bandages with only his eyes being visible.

"...What is it you want?" Erza asked with no hint of worry in her. "If I did something to you in the past and you wanted to kill me, I would already be dead."

"Who knows." He said with another chuckle. "I can be anyone with any reason to be around you."

"An old friend watching over you. A long lost relative protecting you." He said as he leaned his head to the side. "Or not someone from your past, but Naruto's."

"But most likely who has power and saw someone who was desperate enough to need it."

"I never used it." Erza quickly answered.

"I know and I don't hold that against you." He said before his red eyes stared deeply into Erza's. Erza didn't respond as her eyes reflected his red eyes. "It just means I have to get more involved."
