Mabel runs.

She runs because this is the worst day of her short, 12-year life.

She runs because her brother is going to leave her behind, leave her alone.

She runs because she doesn't want to accept that this is happening.

She runs because she doesn't want to grow up.

She runs from the future.

She runs from growing up.

She runs from her emotions.

Mabel runs.

She runs right into danger, right into Bill.

She runs right into his trap.

And there's nothing she can do.

So she runs.
