Dick was speeding down a hill at over 100 miles per hour on his motorcycle with Zatanna holding onto his waist. Dick was wearing a helmet, but Zatanna wasn't, because he forgot to bring a spare when he picked her up and they decided it was safe for her not to wear one, as they were just riding around the neighborhood.

"Dick, slow down, this is scary," Zatanna shouted over the wind.

"No, this is fun!"

"No, it's not. Please, it's too scary!"

"Then tell me you love me."

"Fine, I love you, now slow down!"

"Now give me a BIG hug."

Zatanna was really pissed off and terrified at the same time, so she complied. She wrapped her arms tighter around his waist and leaned her head on his back.

"Okay, I'm hugging you, now slow down!"

"Can you take my helmet off and put it on? It's bugging me."

In the paper the next day, an article said that a motorcycle had crashed into a building due to a brake failure. Two people were on the motorcycle, but only one survived.

Flashback

Dick's POV

I picked up Zee from her house on a motorcycle for a nice dinner date. She walked out of her house, gorgeous as ever, and her father glaring at me from the door with a don't-you-dare-do-anything-to-her look.

She walked up to me and gave me a hug. "Hi Dick!"

"Hey Zee, you're looking beautiful," I say. "As always." I added in quickly. I live to please. Zatanna opened up the back compartment to get my spare helmet.

"Dick…"

"Yeah?"

"You didn't bring your other helmet."

"What?" I went back and looked inside. Hm. Well then. "You can wear mine, we're just going down the neighborhood anyway."

"No, you wear it, your driving. It's better if you wear a helmet."

I shrugged. "Suit yourself." I climbed onto my motorcycle and Zee got on after me, wrapping her arms around my waist. I smiled, and started driving.

Zatanna lived up in the hills in this big house. Not bigger than the Wayne Manor, but still pretty big for an average house. All the big houses around here are on these hills, and it's a very steep road that's pretty dangerous if you're not careful. I drove here all the time though, so I was okay.

We were halfway down the hill and my bike started going really fast. Like extremely fast. That's when I realized my brakes weren't working. Uh oh.

The motorcycle was going at over 100 miles per hour, and I didn't know what to do.

"Dick, slow down, this is scary!" Zatanna shouted. What should I do? I can't tell her we're going to crash because I didn't get my bike fixed.

End Flashback

Truth is, halfway down the road, Dick realized that his brakes broke, but he didn't want to let Zatanna know. Instead, he had her say that she loved him, felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so she would live even though it meant he would die.

"Please forgive me." And everything went black.

I'm getting so many random ideas nowadays...

I'm confuzzled.
