Hey, everybody! So, it's likely that this will be my finale post, hence the name of the chapter. In this chapter, there will be the unfinished chapter of the actual Chapter 49, the outline of the arcs and the ending, and also another page where I kept all the characteristics of the characters, universe, etc.

In order to differentiate my current author's notes and the actual pages I'm showing that I've used, just look for the line breaks and the text in bold and italics. In the unfinished chapter, you'll see some bold text directing what happens or will happen or has happened in the chapter. That's how I kept track of the events and what I was going to write next. I barely changed anything in these pages beforehand, so what you will see is authentic.

Also, because this site doesn't allow large gaps in between texts (which is how I separated different scenes in the same section of the chapter), I'll replace it with dots.

So, first up is the unfinished Chapter 49!

Disclaimer: I don't own Gravity Falls.

"There, all done!"

"Who is it for?" Grenda asked as she inspected the stitching, "I don't think Bill has six fingers."

"It's not for Bill, silly," Mabel waved off, "it's for my great uncle Ford."

She had knitted him another sweater. However, this one, had fingerless gloves attached to it!

(HORIZONTAL LINE BREAK)

"Dipper" and Pacifica - Pacifica wanted "Dipper" to help her with something about the case, but suddenly gets a phone call; after speaking to Dipper, she changes course and directs him to a part of the forest; when stuff uncovers, he hears a train nearby and runs for it

Pacifica receives a call from her crystal, which is the real Dipper

"What did you need me for?"

"Help me with this."

.

.

.

"Don't try and act innocent! I know what you really are!" Pacifica shouted. Without warning, Dipper's demeanor completely shifted. His posture was lax, and he eyed her with an emotionless gaze. He arched an eyebrow, "Oh, really? What's the matter, Princess?"

He sauntered closer to her, despite the weapon pointed at him. "You don't like me, anymore? You don't appreciate the little act I've performed?"

Dipper smiled, leaning forward, and she couldn't bring herself to slice that familiar face. "That's too bad. I thought we really had something going. You felt it, too, didn't you?"

Pacifica felt her face flush, with both embarrassment and rage. She released an angry war cry and tried to murder him then and there. Dipper only leaped away, and outstretched his hands. "Perhaps you'll like this better."

Suddenly, his being morphed into something entirely new, like melted wax maneuvered to form different candles. The sound of flesh and bones resounded, and she felt the full effect of her body reacting to its dark presence. Prickling ran all over her scar, yet she couldn't focus on it, for she was frozen in place. In front of her was not the boy she had befriended over the past few days, but a horrendous creature.

With sickly, pale skin and ruby eyes, the deformed monster introduced himself, "I am the Shapeshifter."

He grinned. "How do you like my true form? Go on, admit it. You like it."

Pacifica couldn't ignore the spike of fury in her chest. She gritted her teeth and fastened the hold on her sword. Nonetheless, the Shapeshifter guffawed, "I was offered freedom in exchange for some dirty work. Kill some people here and there while tugging your itty-bitty heart strings. He even provided me with basic information and memories so I could play my character. And then I already had free access to the information of other citizens? It was so easy!"

The blonde failed to hide her realization, and her utter despondence. The Shapeshifter tilted his head. "What? You thought that you could figure it all out before? You thought that the boy actually liked you?"

His voice changed to match Dipper's. "You thought that you were good enough to do anything? You're nothing!"

"Shut up!" Pacifica screamed at him, and launched herself at the beast.

.

.

.

In the distance, the sound of a train passing by caught his attention. The rumble of the ground indicated it's arrival. The Shapeshifter thought of his next move.

.

.

.

"A prince, huh?" The Shapeshifter guffawed, "I bet you're just a knave!"

Bill growled, "A knave?!"

"A knave?" Dipper suspiciously glanced at Bill.

"A knave…?" Pacifica muttered, "What the heck is a knave…?"

"A tricky person, but the old meaning means a boy servant." Dipper whispered to her. He said louder, "I wouldn't be surprised, honestly."

The blond seethed and pointed furiously, "Shut the hell up, Pine Tree!"

.

.

.

Bill snatched him by his vest and slammed him into the ground. With one hand aflame, he locked eyes with the creature and prepared to finish him off. However, the flesh under his grasp abruptly rippled and morphed. The blond was frozen, unable to even say a word. He could only stare with one wide eye.

Mabel, with a pleading, petrified countenance, looked up at him from below. Her sweet voice was watery. "Bill, please don't!"

He nearly choked the instant he swallowed.

"Bill, flame him—!" Dipper called out, but it was already too late. Blood splattered across the snow, staining it a deep red. A sickening grin stretched across "Mabel's" face. Retracting his sharpened flesh from Bill's abdomen, the Shapeshifter kicked the prince off of him and ran deeper into the forest.

Pacifica started, "Are you—?"

"I'm fine, idiots!" Bill waved them off as he pressed his open wound. It would heal soon, but the pain was still mind-numbing, and his vision was starting to blur with all the blood pouring out of his body. Both of the Soul Fighters nearly retched at the sight. "Go kill him for me."

.

.

.

"Oh, come on, Dipper." With an overly cutesy expression, "Wendy" begged. "We don't have to fight."

A very much deeper voice yelped in pain. Green liquid oozed from the deep wound on his arm. Transforming back into his original shape, he hissed, "So heartless, aren't you? Are you that frustrated that she doesn't return your feelings? Or do you just have no fear of slicing your own friend?"

"That first reason is stupid and petty. And for the second one, you are not my friend." Dipper tapped his head with a grateful smirk. "I think I've trained well on differentiating what's real and what isn't."

The Shapeshifter hissed as he leaped on the train. He burst in through the door and disappeared inside. Dipper shouted, "Shoot! Pacifica, come on! We need to catch him!"

The two hopped onto the moving train, with Dipper nearly slipping off. Pacifica caught him just in time, and they both sighed in relief. He nodded his thanks, but she moved on to go inside the caboose. He brushed off his indignation and followed after her.

"Can you sense him?"

"No… he's probably disguised as someone, now." She growled, before taking out her crystal communicator and calling the police. "Hello? Yes, it's Pacifica. I need you to contact the railroad engineer and tell them to stop the train."

"Good call, both literally and metaphorically."

"Hmph, yeah."

She strolled ahead, again, and he couldn't help but grow in his confusion. Dipper shook his head and caught up with her. Together, they stalked down the train cars, passing by a few citizens in the meantime.

Pacifica was in turmoil. She wanted to feel absolutely jolly and grateful that the real Dipper was safe and sound. But she didn't even know that there was a real Dipper before any of this. She wanted to question everything she had been doing prior to this moment. She wanted to go over their interactions in the past week and try to find the signs. She wanted to wonder to herself if she really knew him like she thought she did. Unfortunately, it was not the time or place to do that. And she couldn't pinpoint an expression, nor an emotion, so she shut them all off.

"PACIFICA!"

She just barely had time to react as a meaty scythe flew over her head. A couple of gasps registered in her head, meaning that there were still civilians inside the passenger car. While Dipper ushered them out to another part of the train, the headmistress had her hands full with a battle. Pacifica swung her legs and knocked the attacker off of his feet, before aiming her rapier toward his heart.

"Too slow!" the Shapeshifter sliced her side as his arm shot out. She gritted her teeth at the pain and missed her mark, but it still stabbed him straight in the leg. He howled and threw her off of him. Pacifica landed in an empty chair, giving Dipper an opening to charge in. He swung his sword downward, but the creature rolled to the side. Dodging a couple of sharp strikes, the brunet retaliated with another dash forward. He sliced upward, hitting the thinner shoulder.

Dipper backed off as Pacifica recovered from her tumble. She had already drank one potion, leaving her side healed completely. They stood back against the wounded monstrosity. He glanced over at her and talked in a low voice, "He's definitely not a fighter, but his ability to attack at all angles from his body gives him a great defense."

Dipper continued, "If we can attack simultaneously from opposite angles, he should have a hard time keeping us off."

She nodded, and they burst forward at the same time. Colliding with the creature, Dipper ended up taking the front while Pacifica flipped to his back. The Shapeshifter evaded their attacks, for they were somewhat sloppy and improperly timed. Dipper tried to find a rhythm with his colleague, but she was ruthless in her offense. The Shapeshifter found the chance and snatched the tired boy. He hurled him right at the girl who, in her surprise, couldn't avoid him fully in time.

"What are you doing?!"

"What are you doing?!" Dipper stood up and heaved, "We're supposed to be working together! We're on the same team!"

"Shut up!" she snarled, and Dipper nearly thought that she was going to attack him. The Shapeshifter grinned and took the opportunity to jump out on to the top of the train. The brunet immediately chased after him, and Pacifica went in after.

He escapes after nearly being incinerated by Bill who shows up, fight scene ensues where they end up on a train

Some instances where Pacifica and Dipper mess up because lack of teamwork (mostly from Pacifica)

Celebration, Pacifica sees Wendy and Dipper, along with his family. She stands by the side and realizes everything that's happened.

Dipper sees her and smiles at her, but she only smiles sadly and walks away, leaving them to deal with clearing up his name.

Later, Wendy and Dipper scene, friends after all. Dipper is a little unsure why Pacifica seemed sad and it shows on his face, Wendy doesn't know why but has a shipping guess, Dipper also mulls over forgetting something.

The Stan twins bring them home and tell them about their past

.

.

.

"Kids, we're leaving!" Ford called.

"Coming!" Dipper responded. Mabel also yelled, "I'll be home before you guys get there, so just go home without me!"

"Wait, what?" Ford said to his twin. Stan shrugged, "Just do as she says."

As her family left, she turned back to the blond. He told her, "I can't be gone for too long. I'll be leaving, now."

"That's okay… Now, we can talk with our dreams!" she smiled and clasped her hands behind her back. "Although, I do want to give you something before you leave. It's basically a Christmas gift."

"What? Another sweater? Because I'm fine with the one you gave me."

"Nope," she shook her head, "just teleport us to the shack."

"Alright."

Suddenly, they were both in front of the Mystery Shack. Mabel's hand slid away from his grip as she hurried inside. After a moment, she quickly reappeared in front of Bill, her hands behind her back. Bill rose an eyebrow, "Whatcha got there?"

With a wide grin, she held out the item in front of her chest. It was a stainless steel water bottle of golden color. To his surprise, his family insignia was on it. She shrugged with a smirk, "I may have gotten your family insignia down pat."

"But a water bottle?"

"Heck yeah! Check inside!"

He unscrewed the lid and peek inside. A sweet aroma hit his nose. He asked, "What is this brown liquid?"

"It's chocolate milk!" Mabel explained, "And once you finish it, you can use the bottle to carry around regular water."

He placed the rim on his lips and tipped the bottle, just slightly. Smacking his lips a few times, he nodded slowly, "It's not that bad."

"Told you."

He screwed the lid back onto the bottle.

.

.

.

"You guys wanted to travel the world?"

"Of course, but there were issues with money and other things. And right now, we're stuck with you runts!"

"Nevertheless, we're gonna go on some vacations. And in the future, we can go travel."

.

.

.

"Oh yeah, and then…" Stan continued where his brother left off. The Pines family laughed and rejoiced.

Pacifica at home. Goes to her room and dramatic crying :(

"Pacifica."

She looked up and saw her father's eyes, practically saying "I told you so."

She sneered and brushed past him, aiming for her room. Her mind was too clouded to be surprised that he did not stop her.

She shut the door behind her softly, and allowed the silence of the room to veil over her. Pacifica slid downwards against the door, with her knees against her chest, and her emotions at full throttle. She just couldn't believe the reality of the situation. Innocents died because she was blinded. She couldn't believe how it played out—how the Shapeshifter played her.

All of it.

All of him.

Her friend, Dipper Pines.

A lie.

She was an idiot. She let herself be deceived. She should've known.

Friends?

She chuckled; a sad sound that filled the room.

She chuckled until tears were running down her cheeks and her vision was blurry and her lips no longer produced gales of laughter but the pathetic sobs of a thirteen-year-old girl. She hid her face away from the world with shaky hands and let her melancholy roll off of her trembling body.

Idiot. Idiot. Idiot.

(HORIZONTAL LINE BREAK)

"The generations of children are always so interesting. They change and grow, remix and renew."

Adrian slowly moved his hands, trying to focus and encircle his energy. A pure black sphere formed in the center. Albeit tiny, it would be devastatingly powerful; catastrophic to the victim and their surroundings. Millennia ago, he could make one under a few minutes and force them into his enemies. Now, the last one he made took decades to finish. And it was finally used on the blond prince, nearly killing him… if it weren't for the Light.

Blood dripped from his lip, and his hands fell to the side. The energy dissipated, leaving nothing, not the slightest amount of destruction. A hand went to wipe it.

He couldn't do it, anymore. It wasn't within his control. Adrian gazed out the shattered window once again. The dusty, arid setting was tragically dull. He's laid claim to this broken realm.

He wanted the flourishing world, now. He wanted it…

He wanted it to be demolished.

The prince, Bill Cipher, was single-handedly the biggest annoyance to ever roam the two interconnected worlds. A fuzzy, faint nostalgia entered his mind, from when he was in his prime. Adrian took great satisfaction in destroying his home and beating him into the dirt. He would relish the pure defeat on his face. He needed to keep him alive for as long as possible, so he made him immortal. And, lucky him, Cipher would never give in to surrendering completely. Every bloody wound and broken bone did not stop him. He would always face him head-on by himself. After a few millennia, everything just became boring.

He thought making the prince forget everything and turning him into a half-demon would make things more entertaining. However, it was absolutely pathetic. And somehow, with all his memories gone, he stumbled upon the latest holder of the Light. And the Light decided to be bonded with an equally infuriating little girl that didn't know how to stay away from "evil dream-demons." So, she ended up cleansing him of all his curses. That was fine—it was; he needed Cipher to be pure-blood again, anyway. It was the whole reason he wanted him to almost die, so that he could be saved.

Then there was the other little girl, Pacifica Northwest, and her phenomenal skill and prowess. However, he knew how to break little girls; they were all weak-minded and emotion-driven. The Light would become crazy by internal conflict and extreme paranoia, or be killed by the Shapeshifter. Northwest would crumble and fall, and he'd drive into Gravity Falls from the inside and out. Then he'd have sprouts over here and over there across the globe, where monsters would burst out and annihilate on sight. The seeds of a new era were sown into Earth's dimensional plane.

Everything would have worked out in his favor, but then another child had to come into play. And frankly, he was quickly becoming just as large of a nuisance as Cipher.

Dipper Pines was unnaturally strong-willed and intelligent for his age. Adrian didn't regard him as much before. He was plain-looking, awkward, and an average adolescent. He was just another Guardian. But with each incident in this hick-town, his name seemed to be more and more impressionable. He helped fight off Gideon from killing the two old Stan twins. He saved the other old scientist from killing himself. He saved the Northwest's parents from being crushed to death. And if they had died, it would have helped crack the little girl's state of mind.

So, of course, now the boy had to go. But killing him seemed banal. He needed the boy somewhere he could not leave, all the while having someone else fill his place and create distress: the Shapeshifter.

But things seemed to go all over the place. The prince and the Light grew deeply attached unlike anything Cipher has ever done before, altering Cipher's thinking and making him unpredictable. Now the prince was starting to gain allies with all the creatures that escaped his grasp and the Northwest was steadily creating more bonds after years of isolation and Dipper Pines got out of the mountain alive and killed the Shapeshifter.

It was... so—

"Children… Oh, children…"

He doesn't remember feeling this aggravated in a long time. His hands were breaking the window sill.

"But it's quite alright." His sweet smile spread further across his face. "She has to be breaking, now. I can set forth a siege before the Pines boy can do anything to fix her. Oh, children."

End a/n

So, that was it! I would have altered Adrian's perspective slightly because I forgot to tune it in with his true intentions.

Next up is the outline with the arcs and the ending, as well as some notes. Apparently, this site doesn't accept bullet points, and literally everything after this were in bullet points... so... I tried to make it organized like how I originally had it? By using some text bullets... it won't let me put in spaces either :(

is the first

○ is the second

▪ is the third

This is basically like if I put a bullet point and then another bullet point under it but I press tab on that bullet point so it goes more inward. Like that. But since I can't do that, then I'm dividing it by different bullet points.

Oh, yeah, by the way, Adrian is Tad.

Place it somewhere

• Dipper nearly drives himself crazy (since he's a logical thinker, after all) trying to figure out why Adrian is so evil (doesn't realize Adrian is just evil to be evil)

• His true strength is him wanting to protect everyone, not searching and training for power; have Pacifica or someone tell him or have it be known throughout the story

• Clarify his childish desire to get stronger with why he wanted to be strong in the first place

• There will be a moment in time (maybe during travel arc) when Mabel feels Bill is out of her league or something with how he acts around other aristocrats

○ Bill could care less about acting prim and proper and whatever, he does it to get support

.

.

Consider

• Ford teaching them how to cook

• Robbie and Wendy breaking up or staying together

• Giving more depth to A. Tad Strange

.

.

Conflicts

• Eventually Dipper will lose his hat in favor of saving other things

• Eventually, Mabel and Dipper will be with Tad, and Mabel will ask, "Why? Why did you do it?"

○ "Mabel!" Dipper warns.

○ "I've done a lot of things in my time, so you'll have to be specific," Tad responds.

○ "Why did you destroy the other world? Why did you kill Bill's parents? What was the point of all of that?"

○ Dipper is surprised. Even though he was characterized as the curious one, he wouldn't even think to question Adrian's deranged ways of thinking.

○ Tad tells them some flashback or story that eventually ends with nothing. He goes up to Mabel, "Perhaps you'll have to remind me." And nearly kills her.

• Dipper deciding whether he would sacrifice innocent people, his family, or himself (leads to paths that are to be taken that any would receive severe results)

○ Bring up why he wanted to be "one of the strongest"

○ Also question his morals and his views on good and evil

• Bill unsure of what it truly means to be king - very prideful in being alone all this time, and does not really believe in others, especially his allies (causes discourse)

• Pacifica rising above the shackles of her blood and family's mistakes, constantly having to prove herself to others (they might be brought up amongst her peers to serve as discourse and a distraction to what's really important)

○ She also tends to blame herself a lot and needs to learn how to not

• Pacifica and Dipper run into some funny or serious interactions with other people who question their age

• Mabel is sometimes a little too optimistic to be realistic, which can lead to some irrational decisions (might be most impactful of all, where she may play right into the enemy's hands)

• Fiddleford is forgetful (many old enemies rising up and causing trouble)

• Stan and Ford are quite prideful and somewhat selfish regarding them and their own (might lead to some disagreements)

• Adrian only wants to see worlds burn, but not really for a reason (forgets why, but it's what he's always been doing since forever, so he has no more true passion - leads to his "defeat")

○ "How one-track minded of him…"

.

.

■ Will tell Bill eventually or initially but they have different perspectives

○ I NEED FORD AND DIPPER TO PLAY CHESS DANGIT (open chapter with them playing chess)

○ Ford explains the importance of the king and queen, other pieces, and the most important of all, the player

○ Tells Ford about Pacifica avoiding/distancing him

○ Ford thinks it might be normal or that Pacifica is having a hard time with what happened

○ Dipper is confused as to why that would lead her to avoiding/distancing him tho

○ is too distracted with impressing Pacifica and Pacifica acting weird to remember what he was supposed to tell her

○ Dipper moves on to the next stage of his job which is also working with the other strategists to protect the town better

○ Figures out a pattern to the sprouts (or something like that)

○ Dipper awkwardly trying to get on her good side by looking good (smartly or whatever) and she is only visibly disturbed, in which he ends up asking himself what he is doing

○ After she goes to fight with him, everyone other Soul Fighter joins after convincing

■ "Is she crazy?! She's gonna die with him!"

■ "She's crazy brave! Are we chickens, or are we Soul Fighters?!" Wendy shouts.

○ Pacifica reassures Dipper with the badge, saying he doesn't need it to work beside her

○ Bill meets with her afterwards and tells her it was the first sign of war; a test

○ He, Pacifica, and Dipper go to the meeting to tell everyone about upcoming attacks

■ becomes a cold case

○ Bill tells them he's working on his own thing and he's telling them so they can strengthen their defenses

○ "I couldn't get rid of you even if I tried" Pacifica to Pines

○ Dipper displays his power for first time - Bill has to tell him about it because of his devotion to Mabel; sees him as something to help since he is so close to her

■ Mention royal blood and other important factors as subtle foreshadow and blue and yellow; how it correlates to the colors of Dipper and Mabel's souls and all other Guardians and Lights

■ Tells him that he would have died with the direct hit from Leaderaur without his ability

■ Mention parents and how they knew - Mabel and Dipper's connection are the strongest of any because they are twins

■ Dipper says he wouldn't care if he was consumed by darkness, as long as he protected and junk (think of quote)

○ Dipper and Bud have a chance to speak

■ "How did you go through with killing Gideon?"

■ "Well, I had to decide between saving him and everyone else, or letting him die with others he could have reached."

■ "Just like that?"

■ "Sometimes, you have to come to these decisions, faster than you may want it. Time won't wait for you or anyone. The actions of others have consequences. Your own actions will have consequences. Being a leader, that's where it matters most."

■ "Even so, you couldn't have… tried to save him?"

■ "Can't save what's already broken, Dipper. You can try, but it will never look the same, or be the same. But, you know, it's not always a bad thing for things to be built again differently. You just need to know when to make the call."

○ Mabill kiss when Bill leaves again

■ "I spoke to your brother."

■ "Without murdering each other?"

■ "We've spoken before, without… murdering each other."

■ "Really?!"

■ "We're... working on it. But I'm only open to it for you."

■ "For me?"

■ "Yeah, just because you'd need him to—"

■ She grabs him and kisses him senseless, to which when she pulls back, she says, "You really are the sweetest guy! I'm so happy, I could kiss you! But I already did!"

■ Bill is literally malfunctioning

○ She is somewhat wishing she could go with him

• Dipper and Bill growing taller

• Need Bill wondering why Adrian kept him alive, wanted to take over, etc.

• Need some battle where Mabel and Dipper somehow talk to Adrian and get some answers and Mabel almost dies, where she becomes more wary of death and enemies, less naive

• Include some battles happening across the globe

• Mention Mabel being inspired by everyone trying their best to Pacifica during one of their trainings

• Include the potions and academies, checks rolling in (lots of money = big surprise), being bothered by paparazzi and explaining how it works to reporters, finding a way to get them off their backs

• Include several spars with Dipifica and recovery of their relationship; Pacifica teaches him some things about stance and technique after seeing his fighting style

• MINIGOLF!

• Need a scene with Mabel jumping into Stan's arms

○ About her fear of heights

○ "Just trust me!"

• Need to show Mabel and her eyes being rose gold when in control of a greater extent of her power

• NEED SOME GABE BENSEN

• More Soos and Melody

• Need a vacation for Pines - prob gonna combine the Pines bdays

.

.

• Reflections (Dipper and Mabel meet Reverse (?))

○ Mason and Mabel Gleeful, Gideon Pines, Pacifica Eliese Southeast

○ Pacifica is called Eliese

○ Dipper and Mabel are sent to another world by an ancient spell they found

○ Them leaving is the only way everyone will be saved from pain

○ It's a fabricated world designed to trap the victims

○ Will tries to get them out; servant to the dark rulers because he is weak mentally and emotionally

○ Reverse Mabel made Will fall in love with her then backstabbed him to gain control of the kingdom

○ Reverse Mabel is almost always bored and rules over emotionlessly and almost mercilessly when she's actually doing something (Tad, kind of); weapon is cold darkness

○ Mason is the one who does everything; cold, calculative, dark and broody; weapon is bow and arrow

○ Reverse Pacifica is bubbly and helpful, and often compliments Dipper

○ Eliese is scared of Mason, and tends to hide behind Dipper

○ Mason and Dipper compete for her affections, although Reverse Dipper does it because he likes her, and Dipper does it because he feels the need to

○ At some point Dipper and Mabel are caught and brought to Reverse Mabel, where Dipper intends on killing her (albeit with slight hesitation) to which Reverse Mabel questions if he will really do it

■ "You're the type to just hack and slash at anything that's remotely labelled evil, huh?"

■ "You're going to cut me down? Even when it's your own sister?"

■ "You aren't my sister!"

■ "I guess not…" Reverse Mabel grins eerily, "but I sure do look like her, don't I?"

○ When Dipper and Mabel are about to leave

■ "Why did you help us?" Dipper asked.

■ "You're her brother," Will shifted his gaze to Mabel, a tear sliding down his cheek, "and you remind me of the girl I fell in love with."

○ Arc ends with Mabel hugging Bill, much to his confusion

.

.

• Bill birthday - lots of Mabill

• Pines twins bday

○ Ford gives Dipper his black coat, "I wore this back in the day to be cool and stuff. I was a bit reluctant to give it to you. It's a little tattered."

■ "Are you kidding? That makes it extra cool!"

■ "Heh, now you're a mega dork!" Mabel pushes Dipper playfully.

○ Stan is like ROADTRIP or something with vacation

.

.

• Pacifica and her parents (mid-fall - twins are 15, Pacifica is 14)

○ Ford accidentally mentions solving a mystery that both Dipper and Mabel want to join in to help understand her powers and whatnot; attempting to uncover more history of the town and its location - Mabel inputs stuff she already knows

○ Mabel accidentally solves the mystery canon way

○ They find weird stuff and then the files with a scratched out name, saying that Archibald Corduroy was deemed town founder after Quentin died

○ However he "supposedly" died by a mudslide and "had signed over" the fortunes and rights to Nathaniel Northwest

○ Dipper gives it to Pacifica

○ She confronts her parents but they refuse to tell her anything, saying that it's for her own good

○ Their relationship is even more strained

.

.

(fill in; mention Pacifica's feelings about parents occasionally, include Dipifica teasing but stronger) (end of fall to mid winter)

• Halloween episode

• Another vacay

• Soos and Melody marriage and Melody moves in with him (?)

○ Mabel is wedding planner

○ Dipper is best man

.

.

• Northwest parents go to jail (late winter) (twins are 15; Pacifica is 14)

○ Spooky things happening in the household and the beckoning is stronger

○ The ghost suddenly appears after Pacifica opens the room because she felt the beckoning again and there was no one to stop her; wanted to find out something about the files

○ It's the room with the painting and fireplace

○ Recruits Dipper to help her, but he is turned to wood, along with the rest of the house

■ Pacifica tells Mabel, who gets mad, but goes to tell Bill

○ Bill tells her that someone has to appease the ghost (Archibald Corduroy) who cursed Pacifica's family name

○ Mabel tells Pacifica the message

○ They go together to save Dipper, where Mabel coaxes the ghost to tell him what happened

○ Archibald says that the Northwest family care about nothing but themselves and money

○ "About 150 years ago, they killed me…"

○ Preston says they will go to jail for their family's crimes and that Pacifica has had nothing to do with it; saying she knew nothing about it (which was the reason why they didn't tell her anything, she realizes)

○ They never cared for other people, but they did care for Pacifica

■ "You're right about one thing, and it's that we only cared for our own, and that included her."

○ They call the police - ghost celebrates saying the family finally gets what it deserves

○ Pacifica tells the ghost that she is both a Northwest and a person for the people

○ "You are not like the other Northwests."

■ Dipper is freed, and Mabel takes him home to tell him everything, leaving Pacifica with time for her parents

○ Parents and her spend their last moments together, despite them not wanting to be close because Preston anticipated that the future would turn out this way. Pacifica doesn't care and still wants to spend time with them

○ The top Soul Fighters arrest them and take them to the Maximum Penitentiary

○ Their sentence is twenty years in prison, for extreme fraud and obstruction of justice (they used the money and rightfully claimed it as their own, saying they are the founders, continuing the fraud; hid the murder of Archibald Corduroy)

○ She inherits the fortunes because of her position

○ Bud says, "I've known you, Pacifica. I know your heart. These fortunes are no longer because of crime, but because you now have the right to it."

○ She keeps the money in memory of her parents and to prove she will not use it wrongly or think of it wrongly; to fix her family name

○ Include Dipper worrying about her and thinking about her, asking her where she's been because she misses work

○ Some time passes and it's Christmas - Dipper still thinking about her

○ Pacifica is super depressed, still, and her strong front breaks after everything

○ Dipper searches for her and finds her wandering in the forest - MOON AESTHETIC

○ She breaks down and he catches her

○ Dipifica moment - he hugs her and says, "You're the strongest person I know."

○ They talk about parents and them keeping things secret; understanding, while her head is on his shoulder and he holds her close as they just watch the snow fall; just a sweet moment with sweet subtleties

○ Ends with him inviting her to spend Christmas with them, and she agrees

○ maybe a short montage of awkwardness but family and love and crap and the smallest of smiles

.

.

(fill in) (midpoint of story (?)) (from end of winter to early summer)

• Wendy and others graduate at end of school year

• Another vacay

• Monster Falls (just Pines)

• Lost (Dipper or Mabel due to a party and finding way back to Gravity Falls)

• Paintball war

• Singing spell

.

.

• Second attack (a choice to be made) (summer - before twins bday; twins and Pacifica are 15) (needs looking over)

○ Dipper goes with co. To visit the "future" to see time-baby and find out the future, meet blendin who takes them to Time Baby

○ Time Baby makes Dipper do things in order to prove his worthiness

○ When Dipper wins, he wishes to see the future

○ "There is one way you will prevent the war, without fail. You will kill him now, but she will die." - Time Baby shows Dippers two ways; Dipper is skeptical of the one where Tad dies and so he jumps in and into the future

○ Sees Mabel in a coma from overuse borderline pushing herself to death, great uncles are accompanying her - explain that Bill dying broke her

○ "It doesn't turn into war, it turns into a massacre…" Dipper realizes.

○ In that timeline, Dipper kills Tad while his elite clean up the rest, catching everyone off guard

○ Bill was forced to gather them all up in a final fight and dies fighting them off

○ There's a lot of destruction and messy, civilian deaths, whereas in the war, many innocent lives could have been saved

○ What struck Dipper the most (surprising himself) was seeing him all alone and heartbroken in front of Pacifica's grave - makes him realize he can't live on without her

○ Time Baby finds him and pulls him out (super dramatic)

○ Time Baby - "The odds are against you! You can't change destiny!"

○ Dipper - "Yes, I can."

○ Quote the summary during the chat between time baby and Dipper

○ Pacifica stays behind and town is attacked again from the inside

○ Tad reveals himself as he tries to get Mabel; great uncles are hurt in the process

■ "Allow me to introduce myself. I've been wanting to for so long. My true name is A. Tad Strange."

○ Pacifica figures out the attack is a distraction and heads to where Mabel is to save her and fight off Tad

○ She is defeated - Tad nearly finishes her off but Dipper stops him (multiple times)

○ Dipper fights Tad and weakens him, but then doesn't finish him off because Pacifica is still on the side bleeding to death

○ Tad retreats after firing off a last attack, to which Dipper dodges epically, and Dipper takes Pacifica to a hospital

○ When she wakes up that's when Dipper confesses and they get together

■ long talk with Dipper apologizing and crying (?)

■ "Dipper, can you shut up," Pacifica said, "and just kiss me already?"

○ Dipper and Bill mention that the Time Baby really wasn't that good. Dipper says, "You were right."

■ Bill says, "About what?"

■ Dipper says, "The end result wasn't even that good."

■ "No kidding. The fact the future turns out like that is another reason why I didn't choose victory, to be honest."

■ "Well, he's just one of the timelines that could have happened if you chose it."

■ "And because I chose the other?"

■ "He's got a slim chance. And with his dedication to destiny, I don't think he'll risk it."

.

.

(fill in with nice stuff yet impending, subtle doom with occasional attack around the globe; about a year and a half before the next important development)

• Pacifica feeling guilt ridden by the fact people's lives could have been saved but Dipper reassures her that she was worth it and that the other future may have been absolute victory, but that doesn't mean that they still can't win; more lives would be lost (basically a looooot of lives may have been lost without Pacifica)

○ Studies and researches and proves it using diagrams

○ She finds it super sweet

• Convo between Dipper and Pacifica

○ "You like me?"

○ "We're dating, Dipper."

○ "Yeah, but still."

• "I don't belong to anyone! If anything, he belongs to me." - Pacifica

• "I didn't really get much out of that. It basically reinforced what I already know." Dipper said, "I know that I need you."

○ He blushed, "I mean, we need you."

• ANOTHER VACAY, MAYBE TWO

.

.

• Unite (long arc - a year - where Dipper and Mabel begin to gather forces) (late spring - like late April and early May?) (twins are 17; Pacifica is 17)

○ Bud suggests they need to make their attack before the attacks get worse (everyone agrees, albeit reluctance)

○ Some species is gonna try to kill Mabel in order to have Bill marry their princess so that they will have more favor

■ Mabel gets injured or almost injured or killed

■ Bill makes an example out of them

○ Dipper travels to all head academies using the headquarters' telepads

○ When he travels he will use his reputation and money to his advantage (because of Ford)

○ Stanley and Stanford are building a portal to the other realm that Mabel will power up when the time comes

○ They get their materials from the money they have

○ Convo between Bill and Dipper

■ "I've lost more than you will ever understand."

■ "It doesn't matter how much you lost, it only matters how much it means to you." Dipper said, "What does Mabel mean to you?"

■ moment of contemplative silence

■ "To me?" Bill looked at him dead in the eye, "She is my queen."

○ Mabel travels with Bill to creatures of the world (to practice being queen, she doesn't know; she finds out from a creature(s) that praise and shower her in goods and respect)

■ They end up being super domestic and sleep together and stuff

○ Bill explains that having all the creatures under one ruler makes it easier to voice out thoughts and make action when it came to issues and things

■ Specifically relating to arranging war tactics at this point

.

.

• War (a year has passed and it's spring again; they split troops to go in the Nightmare Realm and to protect the Earth)

○ Dipper leaves his hat at home, and Mabel asks him why; he responds with, "Everything that I hold dear to me are going with me to battle. I want to keep something important at home. Something that will be waiting for me."

○ "When you and Mabel work together, you guys can do anything!" - include Wendy's quote to their combined power

○ Battles

○ There's a meeting amongst the leaders with Bill and the headmasters in the headquarters

○ Dipper tells Pacifica about future and marriage and stuff, heartwarming moment before the final battle

○ Bill becomes the ultimate wielder of darkness because IT WAS A TRAP ALLL ALLLOONGGG (in the final battle)

■ "Tad is gone!"

■ Cheers but the person reporting is dreadful. "What's wrong?"

■ "So is Bill."

■ "What do you mean?"

■ "He's not himself."

○ Insert horrified Mabel

■ "We have to save him."

■ "We can't save him, Mabel! We can only save ourselves!"

■ "No! No…"

○ Insert Dipper coming up with a plan after remembering the heartbroken and depressed look on his sister's face from the other timeline

■ "We can save him, together."

○ Dipper leads the way to stopping Bill's body (it eventually becomes just him)

○ Meanwhile, Mabel is entering his distraught mind, find young Bill, who leads her to the soul

■ She is consumed by the darkness and finds herself in his mind (only surviving because of her power rejecting the consumption, but she is now inside of him)

.

.

Little Notes

• Pacifica and Dipper will begin appreciating each other's… appearances, and will be teased by others for it

○ "don't you think he has a nice butt?"

• "Left hook!" need Grunkle Stan to say it when punching someone

• Growing up and the experiences of growing up, get some chapters on it (Growing taller, more developed, masculine, voices deepen and stuff)

• Mabel and her camera + pictures make frequent mentions

• Battles across globe start becoming more frequent starting from the first attack on Gravity Falls

• Dipper and Pacifica tend to spar (after first attack)

• They start earning money in three months; in March

• Pacifica has a favor towards pink and purple

• Mabel gave Bill a water bottle in chp. 49; show him using it on his journey on occasion

• Need to show more mentions of Pacifica and her family being founders

• Dipper occasionally rambles about how great Pacifica is and she finds it cute (little before and during they date)

• Mention the potions and their use in other academies

• Mabel and Dipper have to discover what it means to have their powers

• As they grow they develop more endurance to attacks

• Pacifica regularly updates herself on her parents on how they are doing

• Mabel and Bill communicate via dreams

.

.

Mythological Creatures that Bill enlisted so far

• Showed

○ Selkies

○ Manticores

• Not shown

○ Harpies

Okay, so I said the ending would be in there, but when I look over it, I didn't exactly insert much of the details of the ending, nor the epilogue.

But that's okay, because, as I said, I had another page full of important stuff for SF! And it definitely included more stuff about it! Also some character analysis and other things so that I accurately pinpointed the character's actions and emotions throughout the story.

Flaws

• Dipper tries to be a hero and plans out stuff; keeps making plans if the initial one fails, but if it doesn't work out at all then he acts recklessly on emotion or just doesn't know what to do

• Mabel thinks too much about feels instead of situation and fears confrontation/reality; Her deep attachment to people can make it hard for her to do things on her own if she loses them - stems from losing her parents

• Bill thinks he can do stuff on his own and that he knows what to do; practicality over emotions - albeit he just isn't enough to carry everyone to victory

• Pacifica is afraid of failing and being weak - insecurity; has the mentality of proving herself most times and when she doesn't or can't, she freaks; trust issues, feels Dipper trusts her more than she does Dipper

.

.

Personality

• Dipper is awkward and socially inept, usually sarcastic and striving to be wise and mature, but curious and very determined or stubborn; when it comes down to it, he can make a stand, especially when it comes to his family or people he cares about; doesn't really know much about professionalism, but does know strategy; he is sort of paranoid, although he enjoys adventure, so it helps him not die on a journey; puts up a front as a mature young man, but is still a dorky boy at heart

• Pacifica is professionally cold-hearted, and usually straightforward, arrogant, and somewhat insensitive; when it comes to ordinary things, she is a bit clueless at times, but still has a childlike wonder that rarely shows for things she hasn't experienced before; tends to hide her emotions until they let themselves out, although it can be obvious most times when she's feeling something; has more humanity than canon but also more insecurity

• Mabel is optimistic and cheerful, bubbly, and just outright weird sometimes when it comes to things she likes to create or do; wears her heart on her sleeve, compassionate at heart, yet still her optimism can be forced if she refuses to see the real issue; however, the light of hers can bring out the best in everyone

• Bill is narcissistic and temperamental, cocky, and a little bit sadistic, albeit he's still more practical or logical in situations, in which he doesn't feel or show much distress unless it comes to something he values; a sore loser, one-track mind, leading to his inability to be considerate, but also surprising perseverance; his consideration usually comes from deep within his subconscious, when his mother and father raised him - usually shows for Mabel; he can act charming or persuasive when he wants something from others

.

.

Relationships

Dipper and Pacifica

○ They stand side by side, fighting, never backing down, especially when they are together; a relationship built on mutual trust and gradual feelings; both are a bit clueless when it comes to relationships, so they're quite wholesome and awkward, but do their best to make the other happy; neither expected to have the other, but they make it work, no matter how the universe might have wanted it

Bill and Mabel

○ The light and the dark, opposites attract; they are drawn together, like fate, as if they were destined to meet; she never gives up on him, and he learns to love again; she likes to pull a move once in a while, slowly drawing out his romantic side; patience and distance, with mutual dependence; he acts based on feeling when it comes to her, and doesn't really know what to do dating-wise; lets her lead them until he gets the hang of things; A natural tease, he is, though

.

.

Birthdays and current age

• Dipper and Mabel - August 31 (14)

• Pacifica - March 16 (13)

• Bill - July 5 (millennia, but technically 14, oldest of the group)

• Soos - July 13 (27)

• Grunkles - June 15 (Ford is supposed to die 2035 of a heart attack; when the twins are 26 - according to canon; determine if keeping) (70)

• Cool teens - third years

• Candy and Grenda - second years

.

.

Notes

Kids

• MABILL CHILD IS PENELOPE PINES CIPHER

• DIPIFICA CHILDREN ARE TWINS - VINCENT AND VIOLET NORTHWEST PINES

○ Penelope is energetic and occasionally overconfident when trying to do stuff; parents rarely have time to spend with her but they try

○ Vincent and Violet have sibling rivalry, try to one up each other

○ They are both somewhat arrogant because of their parents' statuses

○ Both are good fighters; they have swords

○ They both like to read and are curious about things

○ Ironic because they are literally twins when they try to one up the other; can lead to problems with focusing

○ Penelope has fire - pink fire (color is from her mother)

○ Penelope is usually called Penny, and she wears pigtails

.

.

Universe

• How the Mountain of Youth works:

○ To get out: illusions that talk will hold directions to leaving (subtly or abruptly), they usually appear and disappear; those that don't talk only serve as distraction; directions increase every loop (every day or 24 hours)

○ To get to the portal: Do the opposite of what the illusions say, but must follow the path paved by the illusions that run (start from where the illusion ends)

• Winter holidays begin on Christmas and end in three weeks. Summer begins at the end of May.

• The potions speed up healing, but extensive aid like surgery and medicine is still needed - surgery in the case of shattered bones and things, medicine for sickness and old people

• Students wear ribbons to indicate what year they're in

○ 1st - white

○ 2nd - grey

○ 3rd - black

○ 4th - gold

• The mind place is hazy and is usually a place that holds different memories; the soul place is clear and pertains to the state of the person spiritual-wise, usually a nature image or dark and scary, depending on the state

• Eyes light up as the color of the user's soul when they activate their power - Light or Guardian (Mabel, when she uses a lot than just bursts- bright, pale yellow when out of control or yellow with pinkish hue when in control; Dipper, when he uses the absorption - a strong blue)

• What's special about royal blood is that it holds more magical properties than normal humans so they are able to withstand more or do more than just soul weapons/bigger reserves; unlimited

• Tad can't inject the powers into a Guardian or the Light because the Light will just destroy it and the Guardian would just die; normal ppl also die

• The Guardian soul is protected/armoured so that the energy it absorbs only adds to the protection, thus the excess energy can be used in following attack; like temporary reserves or storage - all excess energy must be used somehow or else it will hurt the wielder

• Soul Academy Headquarters, no "Fighters"

• Turning the nightmare realm back to normal fixes nothing; dark beings still spawn on Earth; fabric between realities is already tattered

• Light gives and Guardian takes; ultimate offense and defense, respectively

• Monsters create Darkness, Light creates hope - the Guardian only protects

• Soul weapon changes as it is affected by different energy, i.e. light or dark (This is for Dipper)

.

.

Character

• Characters somewhat represent chess, mainly with Bill being the king, Mabel being the queen, and Dipper being the player

• Dipper represents hope; Mabel represents good things

• Parents were historians; how they knew about Dipper's birthmark and what it meant

• Mabel gets pain if she overuses her power

• Bill's fire is blue and yellow; when he's angry his fire is red

○ His fire is blue and yellow because that's the color of his main core of energy that his royal blood possessed; the blue went to the Guardian and the yellow went to the Light

○ His eye turns white pupil surrounded by black when enraged - truly

• Bill will give Mabel a necklace with a pendant of his family's insignia

• When Bill invades someone's mind, he is forced to also stay stationary and the victim falls asleep if they aren't already asleep; also he has to be directly in front of them

• If he focuses on a particular mind he wants to find, then he can; so minds instead of souls

• He can't find Ford's because of the metal plate in his head, nor Tad's because he hides his presence completely from being sensed

• Pacifica can sense Tad (slightly) because her body/scar reacts

• Tad's true form is a black mess of darkness and despair

• Dipper and Mabel can feel each other's distress and pain when it comes to activating their powers with extreme emotions - because their bond is stronger than any other that has ever existed between a Guardian and Light because they are twins

• Tad spent the multiple millennia trying to find a way to expand his power, but it could only be done by royal blood (the first humans that gained magical properties)

• Mabel immune to Bill's dream-demon fire and Gideon because it was weak enough; mildly hurt by demons (hot water feel); almost completely immune when in Light state (avatar insp.)

• Pacifica Northwest is the leader of all smaller academies in the northwest of the nation.

• Mabel's weapon is bonded with her soul, but it's not entirely hers

• Mabel holds Light, Dipper holds Guardian

• Mabel's powers purge, not heal

• Dipper's ultimate defense mechanism sucks the soul essence from surrounding enemies (so mostly monsters and demons) to assist his own soul and power - causes him to lose control if not careful or in check of himself; needs Mabel to cleanse him or for himself to use up all his excess energy to go back to normal

• Mabel's Soul is pink, but being seen through the Light makes it look rose gold

• Dipper's birthmark means he is the Guardian of the Light; birthmarks of constellations = Guardian

.

.

Plot

Overall

• 120,000 years ago, humans and mythical creatures lived separately

• Bill was the prince of the nightmare realm, which used to be the dream realm

• Bill has the bloodline of the first humans that could do certain abilities due to their larger access to their spirit; reason why they're royal

• His royal family was one that kept all creatures in the dream realm in check

• Tad was an old assassin who killed thousands of people and creatures in order to gain souls

• Infused those souls with the strongest of demons' blood and then ate it

• Became true darkness

• Tad loathed that royal family ruled over powerful creatures

• Tad overthrew the reigning kingdom

• Bill was cursed by Tad in his right eye to forget all of his memories; he was cursed in his heart to live forever - Tad kept him alive because he needed him for the wreckage of the Earth, and he knew he wouldn't survive the Darkness

• All the nicer creatures were forced to escape their realm and refuge on earth

• Tad knew the Mabel and Bill would grow closer, in which he made Bill unimmortal using the dark sphere thing in order to make him the ultimate wielder of darkness since he is of royal blood

• Tad underestimates the Pines' twins commitment

• That was the moment the Light was born to counter the darkness; the universe's natural order

• Soul Fighter powers steadily disperse among humans from the original power - Light

• Mabel's soul is gradually removing both curses. He will be able to die and age

• Mabel's soul is bound to the ultimate light that will restore dream realm

• Mabel will kiss Bill somewhere before first invasion to save him from darkness; she and others realize her power is purgatory - cleanses him of curses

• Bill will be able to die and will remember everything because Mabel's kiss removes the curses; doesn't know she kissed him, she does.

• Mabel can make a portal - important for war arc

• Bud explains how being the leader works to Pacifica and she is fascinated

• Tad is dying from the power because his soul is gone and his body is gradually decaying (the power needs a new body and soul) - show subtle hints (such as being able to be detected more, maybe coughing blood i.e. Pacifica, his fight with Pacifica he will not be as powerful as he should or was a millenia ago)

○ "I've waited for this moment."

• Question among the characters: If Tad was the ultimate wielder of darkness, then how come he couldn't take over the Earth by himself?

○ He's been growing slowly weaker; strong enough to be the strongest but weak enough to be unable to take anything

• Tad infests Bill in the final fight

• Bill starts to go on a rampage then is stopped by the twins

• Dipper leads way and eventually solos Bill

• Mabel enters the distraught mind and finds young Bill, who leads her to the soul

• Dipper fights body while Mabel fights soul (Bill's)

• Dipper and Bill will be at even match in their final fight because Dipper takes his dark energy as Bill makes more dark energy

• When Dipper puts Bill at a weak point, Mabel goes in for the kill and they destroy the Darkness together

.

.

Northwest intertwines with Pines

• Quentin is hero; saves all good creatures but dies due to overusage; was a first weapon holder

• Guardian was ghost lumberjack - Archibald Corduroy

• Northwest ancestor takes all riches that are indebted to Quentin's heroism by forging lumberjack signature to them instead of to the town (also they kill Corduroy)

• Dipper goes to the giant baby for the future; where Pacifica is claimed to die

• Dipper has to choose whether to finish Tad off or save Pacifica; killing Tad leads to Pacifica's death, there's no war; saving Pacifica leads to war.

• Dipper and Pacifica become canon after Pacifica wakes up

• Mabel accidentally finds the hidden files and Dipper gives it to Pacifica, where she confronts her parents

• Pacifica has to redeem her family by facing against the axe ghost who was a good friend of Quentin

• Priscilla and Preston are arrested by the top ranking Soul Fighters to go to the Maximum Penitentiary located elsewhere on the island where the headquarters is located

• Arrested for twenty years (released in fall of the year Pacifica turns 34)

.

.

War

• A. Tad Strange will be undercover in Gravity Falls and will cause the first invasion, where dipper and Pacifica fight them off, and the second invasion, where Pacifica nearly dies, and Dipper really digs into his true powers

• Later in the story, Bud suggests attacking before they can be attacked worst and more, everyone agrees (with some reluctance)

• Ford and Stan will build the portal using their potion money during the younger twins' journeys to provide entry to the nightmare realm - Mabel will be powering them up, so she stays back during battles

• Dipper will begin uniting the world's Soul Fighter academies while Mabel will begin uniting the mythical creatures of the Earth to help against Tad and his army for a year

• Mabel travels with Bill

• Dipper travels mostly alone and occasionally with Pacifica

• Bill will resemble the horrid monster Gideon turns into and Dipper will represent Giffany with the way his power works

• Mabel uses up all of her power to free Bill from the Darkness

○ Light and Dark cancel each other out

○ The Guardian power stays, will not be passed on, however, when Dipper dies

○ All special powers will only rise again when the balance is tipped again

.

.

And that's it!

Yes, Adrian is Tad, and I liked picking out his name because "A. Tad Strange." It's hilarious and clever, c'mon.

Now, to clarify:

In this universe, there was two dimensions, the Earth and the Dream Realm. Bill's family ruled over the Dream Realm because they were the only humans that possessed greater magical potency. Tad gained dark magic through not-so good means, and destroyed his family and the Dream Realm. However, when Tad gained that supreme amount of darkness, it spawned the Light, which was born to counteract that Darkness. Bill evacuated everyone by working with the Light holders, which included Quentin Trembley, who died because of the overuse of his power on his body. Archibald Corduroy was Trembley's Guardian. A Guardian is the user blessed with an armored soul that is meant to defend the Light so that it may live on to finish its reason for being born. The easiest way to find out is by a constellation birthmark. Mabel was the Light, and Dipper was the Guardian. These two were the strongest pair of all of them because they are twins.

Mabel would lose her power at the end, but Dipper would keep his until he died, and it wouldn't be passed on, as said above.
