Hello 2020...

I apologize for the very long delay in postings. I've been battling clinical depression the last year, which made the motivation to do anything, let alone write seem near impossible. Also, I found myself stuck, trying to figure out how to connect plot point A to B. Figuring out where the story is going to end and how to get there is... hard... for me... as a writer. My strong suit, in my opinion, is coming up with ideas, whereas having them flow and executing them properly is an entirely different exercise!

Rest assured that the story isn't close to being done and I do have it all plotted out, the main plot ideas anyway are. I hope you enjoy this new chapter! I'm sorry that I can't promise another update any time soon but I have not/will not abandon this story! Thank you again for your patience! I can't wait to get to my original plot that I have in store for Clara and friends (and enemies). Even with that though, I will be sticking with the outline of the original show just with added elements (ha, punny puns) and will be expanding on where the show ended. It's gonna be a long road ahead, but I believe it'll be worth it (for me writing it and for everyone reading it).

I don't own the Avatar Characters or the shows plot. I do own my OC and the ideas that change the original plot in this series.

A super special thanks to my Beat Reader Thomas Drovin!

He's my top reviewer too even though he sees everything before I post (I find it funny that he does that) I appreciate him dealing with my extended periods of absences and helping me!

The crisp wind was the first thing Clara felt as she stepped out onto the ship's deck. It caused her hair to gently whoosh past her shoulders. Behind her walked five soldiers, each holding a long chain that connected to her wrists, ankles, and neck. 'It was just a precaution,' Katsu had explained as he helped the soldiers lock them into place.

Her request had been granted, but Katsu said Azula 'was not taking any chances' of her escaping. But none of that bothered Clara, she was just happy to be doing something she wanted to do. She didn't like the chains, but if it made them all feel at ease around her... so be it. If something were to happen, Clara could easily cut herself free of her bonds. Honestly, Clara was amazed her wish had been allowed since she could easily free herself with her mind and even Azula knew this! Clara's eyebrows furrowed angrily together at that thought. The Fire Princess just wanted to remind her that she was a prisoner and that Iroh's life remained in her hands.

It was night time, the clouds were a deep grey overhead but in between were the stars Clara had so desperately wanted to see. The chill from the salty sea air reminded her of home. She had grown up living near the seashore. Her mom had always adored the Californian beaches and had made sure to NEVER leave their family home, in hopes that Clara and Malcolm's father would return someday.

Clara walked slowly, not wanting to accidentally trip over her chains while she walked towards the front of the ship. She paused when she saw someone coming towards them, heading in for the night. The figure was slim and tall, a woman. As they advanced closer, Clara recognized who it was.

Mai was so much more attractive in this world than how the cartoon had depicted her. She had been pretty, but the artists for the show had made her OVERTLY gloomy. Although she did give off an air of aloofness, Clara could easily understand why Zuko had been physically drawn to her.

The girl cast a side glance in Clara's direction, meeting her eyes coolly before looking away. A small shiver went down her spine as Mai strolled past before going inside.

I'll bet Zuko is up here too... Clara thought to herself. Then that means... I know when in the story we all are! Finally...

Clara felt relief wash over her as a massive wave crashed against the ship, causing her to lose her footing. However she managed to catch herself on the boat railing, but the metal was FREEZING and it shocked her hand for a moment.

I haven't felt this cold since before coming here…

She stared at her hand and saw no sign of anything wrong with it! There was no redness, nothing at all. This was becoming a very common sight for her.

Resting her hands upon the railing again, Clara breathed in deeply, before opening her eyes as she exhaled. With the breath, the heat was carried forth to her palms but she kept the flames at bay, only making her hands warm.

Clara turned her head up to the sky once more. She was glad she was allowed this moment, but as she continued to gaze at the stars, she realized that the slight joy they brought her was fading quickly. These bright pretty lights decorating the sky were not the same ones she knew. It suddenly reminded her how so far away from home she was. Before Clara realized it, she felt her eyes blur with wet trails began falling down her cheeks.

For a short while, she breathed slowly, deeply, letting her tears spill out freely. It was the only part of her allowed to be free at the moment.

The soldiers holding her chains might as well have not been there at all with their lack of responses to everything she did, which was odd. From what Clara had discerned, most of the soldiers and ship's crewmen were fearful of her...or rather unnerved by her "supernatural" abilities. Maybe they were anxious about her and that was why they didn't do anything that would draw her attention.

Soft footsteps alerted Clara to someone walking towards them. Wiping her teary eyes with the back of her hand she turned to see Zuko. Surprise flitted across his face before he swiftly reigned in all expressions. The soldiers bowed their heads to the Prince. Clara mimicked them, but a second later peeked her head up to watch him, curiously. Blue eyes found gold before Zuko flicked his gaze away and left just like that.

Season three episode one has begun finally...

The wind blew against Clara's face, she could feel the leftover wetness begin to dry on her cheeks. Rubbing her face, she started walking towards the front of the ship. No one else was there now that Zuko had gone in for the night. Since it was nighttime, there wasn't a whole lot else she could look at besides the sky.

A sharp pang emanated from her chest and Clara felt a burst of heat rush through her. It was like she had been struck by something very tiny but strong. She was stunned, frozen a little before her hands slowly came up to clutch where her heart was.

Clara! I figured out how to help you!

Agnimitra's voice rang out rather loudly in her ears.

What..the...heck!? It felt like something kicked me! Was that you?

Yes…sorry…but I found someone who can help you, right now!

Clara inhaled, holding it in for a couple of seconds, orienting herself before the pain in her chest began to fade. The concentration on her breath seemed to help, and she exhaled evenly.

Who and how? I'm on a ship…

Remember how you opened your chakras before with the Guru?

Yes…did you look through my memories?

I am able to SEE what you remember and think of... but trust me on this! I found someone BETTER! I need you to try to meditate NOW!

Okay, okay! I really hope you're right about this…

Sitting down as Agnimitra instructed, after making sure her chains wouldn't get in the way. Clara crossed her legs and put her back up comfortably straight. Closing her eyes, she put all her focus on her breathing.

Clara didn't know how long she did this. It felt like a long time with her just sitting in darkness, hearing nothing but the sound of the waves lapping against the ship.

Then, similarly to when she had unlocked the Thought Chakra, all at once, Clara could see space and its stars around her. She was floating before she felt someone grab her hand. Agnimitra's flaming body was as bright as when she had seen her before. She gave Clara a proud smile.

"You finally managed to relax enough!"

The facetious remark almost had Clara rolling her eyes before stars began to move quickly around them, then a flash of light beamed brightly in front of them both. Clara didn't quite close her eyes in time blinking rapidly to get her eyes readjusted to see what had happened.

It appeared to be a bird of some kind with someone atop its back. As the beings became less transparent, Clara could see a giant swan with peacock feathers and a woman. She was fair with long dark hair and thick eyebrows, along with four arms! She was dressed in elegant robes that looked like they were made of water with how it seemed to flow around her. The presence she radiated was unlike anything Clara had felt before! It was both pleasant and a little intimidating...

Her dark eyes were kind as she gazed at the two of them. She gracefully descended from the bird before it flew off and became stars once again.

"Welcome Clara and Agnimitra, I'm pleased that you were able to find your way here," a calm voice echoed in the same way Agnimitra's voice always did, "You may call me Saraswati."

Agnimitra brought them to stand before her. Clara hadn't realized how giant Saraswati was compared to them. She followed Agnimitra's lead as the fire spirit bowed low before the mighty being.

"We're honored for your help o' great goddess. Your wisdom will not be wasted on us."

As Clara straightened back up, she stilled when she met the goddess's eyes directly. A mix of excitement and dread filled her stomach like it was filled with butterflies and hornets.

This being has the power to create and destroy if she willed it so.

"I can see so much from this new world has hurt you, child." Clara watched as Saraswati's expression softened and raised her hand before the stars around all three of them glowed brighter.

Blinking back against the light, she watched as their surroundings morphed from space into an oasis in the middle of a desert. The sky was light purple as if the sun had just set and the air was nice and warm. Beautiful lush green was under their feet as they stood surrounded by palm trees and past that was endless sandhills. Saraswati's form shrank down so she was only a bit taller than the two of them.

"Let's begin over there," the goddess gestured towards the pool of water.

She looked back at Clara and gave a small smile, "I can tell this is going to take a while, healing is never a linear process after all."
