Hey everyone! So I've noticed a lot that the fandom seems to portray Sans as depressed.. but honestly, what about Papyrus? He doesn't have a lot of friends, he tries his best. So I started crying a lot because this so here you go. A Papyrus depression fic. You're welcome. It's going to start as pre-frisk, so, uh, enjoy!

It's another cold day in Snowdin. Papyrus and Sans were returning home from work. It was another futile day with no humans in sight. Papyrus didn't want to admit it, but he was ever so close to giving up.

Trying to keep his voice light, Papyrus said "WELL BROTHER... I AM NOT FEELING TERRIBLY WELL. WHY DON'T YOU GO HEAD TO GRILLBY'S FOR SUPPER?" Sans was taken aback. Papyrus never didn't want to cook. Even when he was sick or tired, he would always make some variant of some pasta dish, much less would he suggest that his brother go to Grillby's. "uh... are you sure bro? you ok?"

Papyrus turned away to hide the tears in his eyes. "YES BROTHER... I'M FINE. JUST GO." Sans slowly walked away. He started to worry. Was Papyrus really okay?

Papyrus opened the door and trudged up the stairs keeping his eyes on the floor. He felt a crushing sensation in his soul. His mind ran wild. /NOT GOOD ENOUGH/ he thought. /NO FRIENDS. WORTHLESS. JUST STUPID AND NAIVE./ The tears started falling as he walked in to his room. /SANS AND UNDYNE JUST WANT TO MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I HAVE SOME FRIENDS./

Papyrus was lonely. He felt bad because Undyne and Sans tried so hard, but he still felt.. alone. He knew people thought he was annoying, loud, stupid.. People would see him walking down the streets and move out of his way so he wouldn't strike up a conversation with them. Papyrus went to his racecar bed and buried himself under the blankets and cried into his pillow. He just wanted to be liked...

He thought of how the parents of all the kids told them to stay away from him, and how they would laugh at him behind his back. He started sobbing loudly since Sans wasn't home. Papyrus hated this feeling. He hated having to hide it. He was tired of his brother treating him like a naive baby. He heard the door open. Shit. Sans was home.

He quieted his sobs down and muffled his cries with his pillows. He heard a knock on the door. "W-WHAT IS IT SANS?"

His brothers voice came softly through the door. "i brought you some food from Grillby's..." Papyrus wiped away the tears and tried to make himself look a little more presentable. He opened the door. "THANK Y-YOU BROTHER.."

"no problem bro.. you gonna tell me what sup?" Papyrus looked away. "N-NOTHING BROTHER. I'M FINE. CAN I PLEASE JUST HAVE MY FOOD...?" Sans handed him the food and walked away without another word.

Papyrus felt bad. He knew Sans just wanted to help.. but... he didn't feel as if this was something that could be helped. He half-heartedly ate the greasy burger then just decided to sleep.

Undyne waited by her post, looking for Papyrus. It was 9am, and he was never late. Usually he was waiting for her. She assumed he was sick or something... but it was so unlike him. She decided to go and visit the boys, just to make sure everything was alright.
