Not Awaiting

It's been a long time.

She's not waiting.
Not really.

She doesn't think she'll ever see them again.

One of them is dead after all.
For a while,
she thought the both of them were dead.

For a while,
she thought she was dead as well.

But she's not dead. She's just immobile
and feared.

And neither is one of the two she, without meaning to, awaits.
She's just forgotten. Carrying the scars
without remembering from where they came...

But now she knows, she can remind the other girl
and she can truly wait...for when they meet again.
