Hey there guys! Its Neko4DKawaii-desuuuuu! The previous holder of this account, HelL4DAluCarD-kun has left fanfiction and won't be coming back cuz he said that he lost his muse for it. Coupled with his newly found job and marriage, he is now very pre-occupied and thus have left the writing stuff behind for an indefinite time and so I'm the new guy around here. I got his permission to use this account, after his approval of course, and I shall start anew.

I loved this story of his and I know he had lots of plans for it. We both are huge fans of Bleach and with the novels that have been a continuation that we both enjoy I just thought of reviving the story if possible and try my own hand in writing a fic for myself as well. It's my very first venture into writing so please do help me out with your thoughts and such.

I basically adopted it by adding this Prologue and a slight editing on my part till Chapter 5 which I hope you shall enjoy since it is my amateur venture on it.

On the prospect of the other stories, if you have noticed, I deleted them with permission from him barring the Shōkugeki fic.

So without further adieu, I give you 'The Sunset of Hope' reprised with a newer title. I hope you enjoy. :)

'Hey.'- Thinking

"Hey."- Hollow or Entity speech

"Yo."- Technique or Entity names

Disclaimer: I do not own Bleach. If I did, Ichigo would've turned out a Quincy in the Xcution arc.

Prologue

"You see, Doctor, God didn't kill that little girl. Fate didn't butcher her and destiny didn't feed her to those dogs. If God saw what any of us did that night he didn't seem to mind. From then on I knew... God doesn't make the world this way. We do."

― Alan Moore, Watchmen

It was hard to accept at first but slowly realisation came.

Amongst the army of white he stood. Confidence. Thirst. Hunger. Fear. Excitement. The emotions came flooding in. The reishi in the room thick with the stench of readiness, to walk past the borders of the spiritual realm they were in, in preparation of the attack foretold by their supreme.

The one King of all.

His Majesty.

The figure, dressed in a hooded white coat with glittering golden badge on his left chest, watched with sullen eyes as one by one, the figures of white disappeared into the light. The bright path engulfing them to the other side, unbeknownst to the fact that the war is just beginning. Unknowing of the fact that this was just a preparation for the inevitable.

Descending from the place he stood, his cape bellowed in the vast hall balcony atop, as he slowly gathered a bit of spiritual energy to slow his descent. He landed with the lightest of foothold and looked on as the final march ended. The light vanished and so did the silence slowly fill in the majestic halls of this grand colosseum-like place.

"It's going to be a long and hard road from here." a supple voice whispered as a silhouette of a woman with beautiful features. Light blue eyes, supple full blue lips and a smooth pale skin glowed in the cold darkness that slowly descended. Her clothing consisting of a slight variation of the Jūnihitoe* (The Twelve Layers), with it being much more thinner in material, having her shoulders exposed and her chest exemplified. Vibrant with a palette of violets, oranges and greens in the clothing strips that covered her with eye catching embroidery. Silver hair done in a lavishly accessorised bun and tied up with a golden Kanzashi (*hair pins) that had a small chandelier on its end with bells.

She wrapped her petite arms around the figure's shoulders and rested her chin on his shoulder blades near his neck as she purred.

"You feel so warm Shujin-sama."

"In the absence of him, you sure have ample amounts of time for flirtations." came a rugged old man's voice. The figure that appeared had long hair and wore a cape that flowed around in the darkness. He stopped near to the left of the former figure and spoke,

"I feel as if the end is near. All this moment has led to this in the end. The inevitable."

A giggle was all he got from the female and a sigh left the male figure that they were talking to as he let a small smile appear on his face. He looked on towards the spot that had the lights and asked,

"Was it worth it? In the end? Was it all worth that risk? To throw away everything and become nothing. But that nothing being the beginning of something different? Left with nothing but an empty husk. Rebelled. Chained. Unable to influence."

He turned as the two figures floated beside him as well. He continued, "I guess we'll never know until the ones responsible are brought to public notice. I will raise my blade to be the protector I was destined to be. This world. The Human World. The Soul Society. Hueco Mundo. Everything needs to have a balance, but the ones who have been doing it and have been tasked with it, are failing. Freedom and Peace need War and Suffering to emerge, but some just want to watch the world burn before anything."

"I marked you at that very moment you stood before me." the female chimed in. "Unfazed by my power. Towering against my mighty form with your own reiatsu. I knew at that moment, however long it may seem in the future, you would find me in the deepest parts. You will call out my name for you knew me too. Everyone knew me but none could tame me."

She nuzzled into the necks and spoke in clean whispers, "You shall free all of them from the treacherous liesmith. My children."

He closed his eyes in silent agreement and both of the figures beside him, content, slowly vanished away in spirit particles.

He walked further into the shadowy darkness and as it engulfed his being his left eye grew a bright yellow and he gazed at the halls one last time before disappearing entirely.

Welp, Prologue people!

*Jūnihitoe - It was the name of the formal royal traditional garments worn by the Court Ladies-in-waiting in the Japanese Imperial Court during the Heian period.

Have fun reading the re-edited versions as well!
