Totally not dead. I'm just working on a huge amazing project that will take most of my time. I'm excited, it's going to be my first serious story and not just goof off stories. I'm pumped!

Updated 4/16/18: Taking a break from my huge amazing serious story...only one chapter in. But at least I didn't forget this one.

Smiling

She never knew the true meaning behind that smile of his. It was a cruel twist of his lips. He would strut around snarling that smile of his. It made her wonder of things that she shouldn't be. Why did he pull back his lips and bare his teeth to the world, why give such a malice like smile? She remember when she was little, growing up with an absent father and a dead mother with no grandparents to cuddle her. She would put a broken smile on her face so the servants wouldn't ask her what was wrong. She would give a little upturn of her lips and continue walking. It was her go to defense,to keep people away. She didn't know if that was the reason Laxus made his crude remarks or why he sneered at everyone and anyone. She just wanted on answer. What was Laxus hiding from everyone?

She never did figure out the answer. After everything that happened, all the bad that he went through, all the hurt, his smile disappeared. It was gone, like the wind ripped it from his face and flew it a crossed the country. Never was it found again. His new look always frowning.

It didn't suit him, but then again that smirk of his fit him less, especially with that dimple of his. Way too cute for such a grown man. The down ward tip of his lips had always made her weary of being near him, not knowing what to say to such a solemn demeanor. It made herself a little peeved that she couldn't do anything. He didn't let people in, and she didn't know what to say. So she was going to force herself in.

He walked past her, his shoulders squared and stiff as he walked towards her. Her eyes unintentionally moved to his face. He was frowning again. Her eyes met his, the steely grey giving her shivers. She didn't know what caused them until later.

She did the only thing she could possible do, without knowing what was wrong with this broken man. She gave him her brightest smile that she could, hoping to bring just a bit of happiness around his dreary aura.

She wasn't going to lie. She was proud he stumbled a bit.
