Marshall stared at the building in front of him. It was tall, strikingly so, a little bit dark for Marshall's taste, yet very beautiful. It had a iron fence surrounding the building, making its front a bit smaller than Marshall had anticipated, a old, large, maple tree hanging lowly over the tall fence, its red-orange leaves occasionally falling from its branch. The pathway to the house was a bit unsteady, as Marshall could spot a few open gaps in between the stones, as well as some cracks. The house itself was black and white, much like Marshall's own person, its roof a bit pointy, and from what Marshall could see, most of its windows were closed behind a cream-colored curtain.

All in all, it looked exactly like how his grandmother left it.

Marshall sighed before walking towards the house, hand on the gate of the fence. He shivered when he felt the coldness of the iron, and giving the house a look once more, he was surprised to see a shadowy-figure standing in front of the main window. Marshall blinked and rubbed his eyes, but the figure was already gone. Figuring it was just his imagination, Marshall looked down at the letter his grandmother had left him.

Dear Marshall,
If you are reading this, Marshall, then it means something terrible has happened to me, or at least, my disease has finally caught to me. Do not fret, my precious grandson, as you and I have already known this would happen. Please do not shed a tear for me. In any case, I have written this letter to you because just in case something DOES happen to me, I want you to know that all my fortune, including my house, is yours. I have discuss this with your parents and though they hardly approve of me giving you anything - let's face it, it's not like your siblings are going to get any use of it - they have agreed that, should I pass by any means, everything that solely belongs to me is now yours. I know you'll take care of my things so much more better than your older brothers and sister. Think of it as a will. Anyway, once this letter is received, you should go check out the house. It's been remodeled since the last time you've been here, since you were a kid at the age of 8! I hope everything I left for you would be of use. Love you always.

Miss Alexandra III

P.S There might be something...unnatural in the house. Don't be alarm, it's just my good friend.

Marshall continued to look at the letter.

"Unnatural, huh?" He muttered, before glancing at the house once again. His mind quickly remembered the figure that had stood in the windows frame, and he couldn't help but shiver at the thought of someone other than him being inside the house. "Well...I guess I should look into it. It's not like I'm going to stay."

And with that, Marshall began to walk towards the house.

A/n: Silverwolf had asked me if I was willing to do a yandere of Marshall and Chase. I could say this would fit it, except not. I plan on doing something like that in Chasing Tails (I had actually plan on doing that on Halloween. Oops!), but this is something similar to that. Ghostly romances is more fun though :)
