Author's Note: This is my version of the ending for SOS' awesome fanfiction (I'm Begging You To) Keep On Haunting. It is necessary to read her story first, otherwise you will barely understand anything. Enjoy reading :)

(I'm Begging You to) Keep on Haunting is a story by SOS aka riptidedauntlessgryffindor. I have got SOS' permission to publish this story.

White. The first thing Will saw was white. There was no horizon, the sky and the ground where both white, so bright that it almost blinded Will. He had to close his eyes. When he opened them, he noticed he wasn't alone. A familiar figure stood nearby. Nico. He no longer was a ghost. He stood turned away from Will and didn't say a word.

"Nico!" Will exclaimed. Nico didn't move. When he spoke, Nico's voice was cold. "Why did you do that? Why did you just throw your life away?" He turned around, and Will could see insecurity in his features.

"Because I wanted to be with you. Nico" he fell down on his knees in front of the younger boy "please forgive me! What do I have to do for you to accept my apology?" Will was crying now. "Please! I literally died for you, what else can I do?" His voice crackled, his body shook by uncontrollable sobbing.

Nico knelt down next to Will and put a hand under Will's chin. He raised Will's head and looked into Will's eyes, eyes full of tears. Nico gently wiped away the tears. "More than that, I cannot ask for… I guess" he said softly.

When their lips met, it was the first time that Will felt Nico's lips on his own. His real lips, not the lips of a ghost. When Nico pulled away, he was crying. "Can you forgive me?" he asked. "For not accepting your apology?"

Now it was Will's turn to wipe Nico's tears away. "We found each other, eventually. That's what matters." Then his smile faded. "Nico… there's something I want to know. That day, when I was talking about soulmates… you knew it, didn't you? That I would… die"

Nico let go of Will. "Yes… I did. But I kept hoping that I was wrong" he whispered. "I knew that you would die, but even then, I couldn't make myself accept your apology. I thought you deserved someone… better than me. To a certain extent I am responsible for your death. I oughtn't be so lucky. I don't deserve this."

Will brushed Nico's cheek. "I don't want someone better. I want you." Nico hung his head. "Thank you… for caring about me."

They would've stayed like this forever, alternately kissing and apologizing, but suddenly a door appeared in front of them. A white door with two wings and golden handles. The door opened by itself.

Will and Nico exchanged an encouraging look before the strode through the door, still holding hands. Whatever was to come on the other side of the door, they would face it together. And that was all that mattered.
