To Uchiha Sakura, with Love
"Neh, papa… Can you help me here?!"
Sarada Uchiha was plopped in a sea of several colored paper and stationery. Her room was a mess. Her father, the infamous "second hokage" of Konoha, Uchiha Sasuke sighed as he stood from the comforts of his living room couch. He had been home for a month since his daughter's chunnin exam. As he walked over to his prepubescent daughter's room, the small grunts and whines of the girl could be heard. He chuckled as he remembered a similar trait his wife has as she also has the tendency to mutter. "What's wrong?" he asked as he leaned in the frame of a partially opened door. Sarada looked at him with almost hopeless eyes and pointed at a brown box and several crumpled wrapping paper. "Help…me…please." Smirking at the image of her daughter, Sasuke decided to tease her a bit. "I hope this isn't for Naruto's kid." he said as he took a seat beside Sarada. As if on cue, Sarada's face became a bright shade of cherry red, causing another chuckle from her father. "N–N-NANI?! PAPA THIS IS FOR MAMA SHANNAROU! NOT FOR BAKA BORUTO!" She said, rather loudly. "Okay, okay… What's the occasion though? Your mother's birthday is still in march and Valentines is still almost a month from now." Sarada smiled inwardly as she appreciated the fact her father remembered all those dates, even though he doesn't look like the type who would remember. "Please don't tell mama but I overheard Godaime-sama say that mama was to receive an award for her efforts with the Children's Psychological Clinic. I wanted to give her a surprise." Pride shone from Sarada's face as she spoke of her mother's achievements. Sasuke could only smile at how perfect the little scene was. "Alright, hand over the box. I'll help you wrap it."
The next day, Sakura Uchiha found a box in her office, miserably wrapped in neon red foil, glued orange plastic flowers and blue lace, with a note saying "To Uchiha Sakura, with Love" in an elegant script she was very familiar with. All she could do was smile.
