I'm sure everybody knows which scene this little story refers to. Only the protagonist has changed. So, Athos fans out there, please don't hit me…!

"Look, 'Mis, isn't that Athos?"

"Where?"

"Up there."

"Hey, Athos, why are you hanging from a window?"

"Good morning to you, too, gentlemen."

"Need help?"

"A ladder would be appreciated."

"Coming!"

(…)

"What were you doing up there, Athos? Usually this is my job."

"Athos, you philanderer, always knew there was more 'bout you and the women!"

"Which lady's bedroom was this, my friend?"

"No ones. It was a man's bedroom."

"Ahhh … well, I see…"

"Uhmm, I didn't know you were …"

"Yeah, I always thought you are interested … that's quite a surprise…"

"… but we're your friends and we accept you either way …"

"How kind of you. Do you know who's house this is?"

"No idea."

"That's Monsieur Dupuis' house."

"Dupuis? The merchant? He's … quite attractive."

"Yeah, nice guy, isn't he, 'Mis? Always wondered why he lives alone."

"Stop that nonsense, both of you. He's about 55, as ugly as sin and a widower."

"It's the inner beauty that counts."

"Yes, Athos, we want you to be happy."

"I would be happy if I'd found that letter the Captain sent me looking for."

"A letter?"

"Dupuis allegedly keeps a letter that proves his connection to a Spanish trader who is suspected in planning a plot against the King."

"And you didn't find it?"

"No, he came back home earlier than expected and I had to leave. The bedroom window was the nearest escape. So, are you still going to play matchmakers?"

"Didn't think for a second that you … you know. Porthos?"

"Not for a single second!"

"Well, let's say there are still secrets I keep deep inside of me, my friends. To be honest, sometimes I dream of strongly, handsome men with a dark complexion, curly hair and… Porthos, mon ami! Where are you off to in such a hurry?"
