Luke's Realistic Reaction
Disclaimer: I don't own.
Luke looked at the Force ghost of Obi-Wan. "Yoda spoke of another."
"The other he spoke of is your twin sister."
Luke was, understandably, confused. "But I have no sister."
Obi-Wan explained, "To protect you both from the Emperor, you were hidden from your father when you were born. The Emperor knew, as I did, if Anakin were to have any offspring, they would be a threat to him. That is the reason why your sister remains safely anonymous."
Luke looked up with a gasp. "Leia. Leia is my sister."
"Your insight serves you well. Bury your feeling deep down, Luke. They do you credit, but they could be made to serve the Emperor."
Luke's eyes widened. "Wait. Obi-Wan, are we talking about the same Leia? Leia Organa? Princess of Alderaan? A better shot with a blaster than I am? That Leia?"
It was Obi-Wan's turn to look puzzled. "Yes, indeed we are. Is something wrong, Luke?"
The boy leaped to his feet. "That is disgusting!"
"Luke?"
"Oh, I cannot believe… That is so gross! Completely and utterly revolting!"
"What's wrong, Luke?"
"I kissed her, Obi-Wan! I kissed my twin sister! I. kissed. her. Multiple times, might I add? Oh, Force, this is nasty!" Luke began scrubbing his mouth vigorously with the back of his hand.
Obi-Wan's mouth was hanging open by this point, but he attempted to salvage the situation. "Well, Luke, it's not like either of you knew…."
"But I still kissed her! I have had a crush on her for four years, Obi-Wan. Four years! Now…ugh! I'm never going to be able to speak to her again!"
"I seriously doubt that."
Luke turned. "I can see, I suppose I can, anyway, why you didn't tell me about my father. What I want to know is why you didn't tell me about my sister. You know, when I showed you the message Artoo was carrying? That would have been a convenient time to mention, 'Oh, Luke, she also happens to be your long lost twin sister that you never knew you had.'"
"I thought it was best for you to not know about either your father or your sister. What if he had seen into your mind on Bespin and saw that she was his daughter?"
Luke sighed. "I suppose you're right."
The Jedi master chuckled. "Actually, I'm surprised he hasn't figured it out already. She looks much like your mother."
"But still! This is absolutely gross! I wish you had told me this four years ago; then we wouldn't be having this conversation, and I wouldn't be worried about how to explain to her that the farm boy who's been flirting with her is actually her brother."
Obi-Wan raised his eyebrows. "Flirting?"
"Well, I-"
"You know what? I don't want to know."
"That…might be best." Luke nodded. "It was nothing serious, thank goodness, but…"
"Well, I believe that you have somewhere to be soon?"
"Oh, the briefing! Right." Luke turned to walk away. "I don't suppose I can avoid telling her, can I?"
"Not exactly."
He sighed. "I had a feeling you would say that."
A/N: So, ever since I've seen the movies, I've thought that Luke should have had a more…grossed-out reaction when he found out Leia was his sister. I mean, they kissed, like, four times! But anyway…I'm planning a sequel to this with Leia finding out. She, too, will have a somewhat more…realistic reaction.
