Hello, I imagine you're happy to see this, no? But first, I would like to apologize in advance to any European readers that I have. So, I was having a hard time spelling the word masseuse and Word couldn't figure out what I was trying to say either, so I looked it up online, and the definition was there, and far too opportunistic to pass up. So, I apologize should I offend anyone in advance. Right then, I do not own Yugioh! [YUGI, YAMI, and ATEM] Small lemon alert!

Chapter 13

Yugi cuddled more into Yami's side, as he lay waste to the side of his neck with his teeth. Yami was sleeping so he was yet unaware of the damage being done to him. Atem was in another room talking on the phone to someone. They'd been in the Private Estate for three days now. Or at least it felt like three days, Yugi wasn't exactly sure. They'd been at it like rabbits. Barely pausing for rest, and in his case, food.

"Yes, I'm well aware of what the word disappear means," Atem said in a tired voice as he walked back into the room. He took one look at the bed, and did a double take. "Yugi, stop that!" Atem hissed at him.

Yugi pulled away, and looked over his shoulder at him. Atem was giving him a stern look of 'quit it'. Yugi pouted and turned his back on him, choosing instead to stroke Yami's face.

"No, it's nothing," Atem said, "Yugi is just claiming a little bit too much of Yami for himself."

Yugi grinned widely at the comment, which Atem couldn't see, and then got right back down to work.

"Yugi!" Atem hissed again, "I said knock that off!"

Yugi pulled away from Yami again, and turned to Atem with a sly look. "If you have a problem with it, than do something," Yugi whispered in an alluring way.

Atem looked like he was going to do something alright. He looked like he was about to chuck the phone in his hand at him. Yugi did nothing to try to protect himself, just made swirl patterns on the bed with his finger. In the end, Atem crushed the phone in his fist before he realized what he was doing. The phone slid from his hand to the ground in five useless parts as Atem just turned his head away.

"You see how riled up you get me?" Atem accused.

"No," Yugi said, "why don't you come and show me how riled up I make you?"

"You should be sleeping, not him."

"Oh? Then why don't you come over here and put me to sleep, hm?"

"What are we going to do with you?" Atem asked plopping down on the bed.

"Put me to sleep."

"Mmm," Yami groaned behind Yugi as he woke up slightly. "Who's been eating me? Atem, I thought I told you that I didn't taste good anymore."

"If you're looking for a culprit, he's lying next to you."

"No, Yugi doesn't like blood. He thinks it's disgusting. Has to be you." Yami grumbled this, and then immediately fell asleep before Atem could say anything in his defense.

"You know," Atem said looking at Yugi through his hand, "I'd put you in the next room if I thought for a second that you could move on your own."

"But I did. I rolled onto my side."

"Yeah? How about walking? Can you do that?"

"I can try," Yugi said with a small grin. He maneuvered himself over Atem, and stood up on wobbly legs. Taking steps though was like being electrocuted while trying to walk in heels. Atem let him get to the door, which was only six steps away, before sweeping him into his arms and putting him back onto the bed.

"You're so fearless, even when you've been outmatched," he dipped his head in between Yugi's thighs, and Yugi propped himself up onto his elbows to try to see what he was doing. "But if we don't clean up this mess you're making Yami really will wake up."

"Mess? What me-oh!" Yugi's head fell back as Atem delicately flicked his tongue over his thighs, licking a teasing trail back to his anal.

"Shhhh, the other vampire needs sleep."

"Well, I'm sure if you hadn't insisted that he try a few more of those new sex positions, he wouldn't need to sleep so much."

"He liked them," Atem murmured as he kissed his way down Yugi's leg.

"Hey, Atem?"

"Hm?"

"Where'd you put all the chains? I want to be tied down for this."

Atem raised his head, and crawled up the bed towards him only to fall to his side. Propping his head up on his hand he looked down at Yugi, fiddling with a stray bang.

"You don't need chains, Yugi. You need sleep and food. Both of which you've had very little of over the past four days."

"I thought it was three?"

"No, it's been four."

"Oh, can you get me some strawberries? There's something I've always wanted to try…with one of you."

"You need real food."

"Strawberries are real food. Unless you'd prefer I take my nutrients from you?"

Atem sighed, his eyes closing, before he got up and walked out. He returned a moment later with a bowl of strawberries. After handing them to Yugi, he slid back onto the bed, his hands tucked behind the back of his head.

Yugi eased a leg over his body, and sat down on his waist. Atem's eyes showed open curiosity as Yugi took a strawberry from the bowl, and placed the top end at his lips. Atem gave no protests as he took it between his lips. Yugi smiled before bending down and biting most of the strawberry off.

It was so sweet, tender, and his eyes closed as he just chewed the small morsel. A line of red juice escaped his lips, as he continued to eat the food, blissfully unaware of Atem's eyes darkening with lust and desire. Atem spit the rest of the strawberry out at the back of Yami's head, and flipped them over, shoving himself deep within Yugi.

Yugi gave off a squeal of surprise, but quickly turned into a moaning mess as Atem moved in and out of him. His legs came up automatically hooking around his hips, trying to pull him closer to him, deeper within. When both Yugi and Atem had released, Atem collapsed down on top of Yugi, his breathing nearly as ragged as his own.

"No, keep going, keep going," Yugi begged.

"No, Yugi, I shouldn't have done that. You need rest, something you can't get if Yami and I are constantly keeping you active."

"You're right you shouldn't of," Yami said from next to them. He was up, tired looking, but up on his side with his head resting on one hand. Just like Atem had been doing earlier. "Is it just me or is his sexual drive far worse than I can ever imagine it being. And is it that alone that's influencing us to jump his bones so much?"

"I don't know, Yami," Atem responded unhooking Yugi's legs, and dropping to his side. He picked up the bowl of strawberries and offered them to their human. "I just know that we need to separate ourselves from one another or this cycle is never going to end. We're never going to be getting home. Maybe we should put him in the guest room."

"Atem?"

"Hm?"

"We don't have a guest room."

"Oh, yeah, that's right. Didn't think we'd ever need one."

Yugi put a strawberry into Yami's mouth and bit off the other end. Yami was left holding half a strawberry in his mouth. Yugi came in for seconds, and Yami let him take the other half, pinching the green top off with his teeth.

"Is this what you were trying to do with Atem earlier while you thought I was sleeping?" Yami asked after spitting the inedible part out of his mouth.

"Yeah," Yugi said blushing slightly as he picked up another strawberry. "But you play so much better than he does. He ruined the game with sex." Yugi put it into Yami's mouth, and bit off the other end.

Atem looked offended for a moment before rolling his eyes, and nodding. He sat up, and stretched a little.

Well, while he's eating that I'm going to go make him something more substantial. Do me a favor, and don't let him fall asleep this time, huh?

I make no guarantees. Sleeping would be good for him too. It'll stop him from trying to eat either one of us alive.

Atem had half risen from the bed when Yami's words hit him. He fell back to the bed, and turned to Yami with an accusatory amused look. "If you knew it was him eating you alive then why'd you blame me for it?"

"Because you just make the cutest of faces when you get offended."

Atem rolled his eyes, growled slightly, and then stormed out of the room. Yugi laughed at the small tantrum before putting another strawberry into Yami's mouth.

Are they good strawberries, Yugi?

Mm-hm! They're very sweet! Which is odd for this time of season, but who cares? Wherever you got these strawberries from when you went out the other day, you should keep getting them from there.

As the Prince wishes.

You'll make all of my wishes come true?

No.

Why not?

Because you're going to demand sex next, or some form of a sexual act. Which is why your wishes are limited to a few things only.

Mean.

Well, mean or not, one of needs to put the foot down on jumping your bones. Clearly, it's not going to be Mr. In-Control. So, the role falls to me, the pushover.

You're switching roles?

Yes.

That's so hot.

Ugh, Atem!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! I'm making him food. You're on your own for this one.

Perfect! I'll help!

"What? No, Yami! We were playing!" Yugi whined as Yami snagged a pair of pants off the floor and left the room.

Yugi pouted as he ate the last of the strawberries out of the bowl, and then he had nothing to do. His eyes fell onto the ring on his left hand, and he sighed. He fiddled with it, and then sighed again as he looked away.

"Regretting getting engaged to us already?"

Yugi jumped at Atem's voice. He was leaning against the door frame, and Yami was setting a tray down on the table. He turned back around to hear Yugi's response though.

"No, I was just admiring it," Yugi said looking down at his ring before back up at him.

"Didn't look like a face of admiration."

"Didn't sound like it either," Yami chimed in.

"Well, you both clearly need your eyes and ears checked, because that's what it was. Admiration."

"No regret?" Atem asked again, giving him that look that said he knew he was lying.

"None what-so-ever."

Atem's eyebrows narrowed in confusion. He looked at Yami who was scratching the back of his head. Yugi knew they caught his lie, they always did, but this time it was their assumption that was wrong. That's why they were confused, because he was lying about something, but not regrets.

"No regrets, alright," Yami shrugged, and picked up the tray again. "Who wants food?"

"Not me, I'm too tired," Yugi said faking a yawn.

Atem rolled his eyes, pushing off the door frame, "Imp."

Yami set the tray in front of him, and Yugi picked up a piece of food. "Hm, avocados, this has a side effect. I remember seeing it in that book."

"Do you remember what it was?" Yami asked, he shot a nervous look at Atem.

"No. Oh well, no better way to remember than eating it right? Sure hope it's not a harmful one." Yugi ate it, and then looked up at them as he reached for another piece of avocado.

"Indeed there isn't," Atem said giving him a look of victory.

Yugi slowly pushed all the other pieces of avocado off the plate, and onto the tray. What had they just given him? Clearly they knew the side effect of the avocado, or Atem did anyway. Maybe it was a sex drive curbing effect. Yugi ate his fried chicken, seasoned greens, and mashed potatoes as he tried to think if there had been a sex drive cancellation effect. Perhaps he needed to read that book again? It had been a while since the last time he touched it. Come to think of it, the last time he had cracked it open, he had lost all his senses. That was ages ago, he really needed to take another look at it.

"You should really eat your avocado, Yugi. It's not really in season and therefore hard to get."

"Are we in a third world country?"

"No," Yami responded. "Why do you ask?"

"Because you said it was hard to get. If we're not in a third world country I'd imagine that any local grocery store would be selling them, whether they were in season or not."

"Smart aleck."

"So, what does it do?"

"You'll find out."

"I'd rather you just tell me."

"Give it five minutes, and you'll see."

Yugi rolled his eyes.

"It would work a lot faster if you were to eat more," Atem said pushing the tray towards him.

Yugi rolled his eyes again, figuring, what the hell it was in his system already. What harm could more do to him? It couldn't have any life threatening issues, or they'd never have given it to him in the first place. With that thought in mind, he downed the rest of the avocado.

[Time skip]

"You two better be extremely happy with one another because you're not going to see sex from me for the next century!"

"Oh? Is that so?" Atem asked.

"Yes! It is!"

"We'll see if that's really true in two weeks or so. However long it takes for you cool down, Yugi."

Pbbfft! "Oh, I hate you."

"No you don't," Yami replied back through the door.

Both vampires had gas masks on, and both had made an agreement that he would never have plain avocados again so long as they lived. Who knew that two avocados could be so deadly…for them. Raw avocados-side effect-diarrhea. That was what they had read in Isis's book one time. Now they were regretting their choice off a sex curbing side effect. Yes, it was working, however, the smell; it made them want to vomit.

"Geez, I feel like there is liquid acid coming out of me."

"That's a fantastic use of your imagery words, Yugi."

"Would you like a pict-uh-ure to go with it?"

"Not really," they both said.

"Can we at least agree to try to find a different way to curb my sex appeal next time?"

"YES!"

"Good, because this version is gross. Ugh…"

It took Yugi three days to recover from the 24 hour side effect of avocados. After a few hours Yami had pulled out Yugi's phone, and called Isis to ask for more details about the avocado side effect. She gave him the information, and then nearly blew a gasket after asking why he needed to know. Each piece was the equivalent of two hours, and Yugi had had 12 slices.

Yugi was bedridden, scrunching up his mouth at anything they tried to put in front of it. He could barely move, let alone open his eyes. Not to mention kind of upset that they didn't get the full details of the side effect before giving it to him. But honestly it was in the past now, and there was nothing he could do about it. Reluctantly, he opened his mouth, and one of them was finally able to slip the spoonful of chicken noodle soup into his mouth.

"It's kind of cold," Yugi complained.

"If I go heat it up, will you eat it when I come back?" Atem asked.

"Only if it's hot."

"Okay."

He was back in what seemed like a blink of an eye to Yugi. The soup was hot though. Not hot enough to burn him, but hot enough that he couldn't complain about it for at least five minutes. Yugi finished the soup, and fell asleep. When he woke up he was feeling much better. Better enough to try to get out of bed himself.

For once in days, this type of movement didn't hurt him. Maybe they could go home now? He needed to see his babies anyway. He'd been separated from them for far too long. Yugi called out to the home, but received no response. Man, he was hungry. He wondered if they'd mind if he made himself some scrambled eggs, and toast? Well, no one was here to stop him, so why not?

Yugi skipped into the kitchen, and got out the necessary materials for the meal. He ducked out of the kitchen to investigate the whole house for a moment, upon discovering that they weren't in fact here, he got really giddy. He was going to cook, and no one was going to stop him! It'd been ages anyway. He was sure he could still make scrambled eggs, he'd only burned those 2 out of 10 times anyway. So after he threw out the first two batches he should be good. Trial and error that was what it was all about.

Yugi was whisking his fifth batch of eggs when they came back with a bouquet of flowers in one hand, and a basket of food in the other. He didn't know this though, his back was to them as he danced around the kitchen singing Cups the Pop version. Atem and Yami set the items on the table, and Yami peeked into the garbage to see charred eggs in the can, with what looked like at least almost all of the 18 eggs they had had in the fridge. Looks like they needed more eggs.

"And just what do you think you're doing?" Atem asked.

"Ah!" Yugi jumped the bowl going up into the air. Atem caught it before it could hit the floor, unfortunately though the eggs that had been inside it were unsalvageable as they landed on all three of them.

"Oh, the memories," Yami said wiping some egg off his face and flicking it at Atem.

Yugi just laughed. That batch would've probably ended up in the trash anyway, as well as the three eggs he would've used after it too. It seemed he was out of practice in making eggs. He'd even turned down the heat too, but no such luck. They still managed to burn. Maybe he left them in the pan too long? That idea was reasonable…

"Oh, by the way, you need more bread," Yugi told them looking up at the ceiling.

"We just bought a loaf!" Yami complained.

"Yeah, I tried making the toast alongside the eggs, but it all burned. I don't know how, it was on setting four, but it still burned. Maybe I just have a magical burnt touch with food?"

"Oh, you have a magical something alright."

"What were you trying to make anyway?" Atem asked.

"Scrambled eggs and toast?"

"Go shower, and by the time you get out we should have it all made."

"How? We don't have any bread."

"Then I'll run into town to get some bread, and Yami will stay here to make your eggs."

"I don't know if that'll work. I was certain he wanted both at the same time," Yami teased.

Atem rolled his eyes at the two of them, before marching from the house. Yami chuckled, before picking up the bouquet off of the table and handing them to Yugi, "for you."

"Oh! These are beautiful, Yami! Thank you!" Yugi said allowing their fragrance to overwhelm his senses.

"I'm glad you like them. Now go shower, you're covered in egg."

"So are you. Perhaps you'd like to take one together?"

"You do want to go home, right?"

"Of course I do. Momma needs to see his babies."

"Then Momma should go take a shower by himself," Yami replied, taking the flowers from him, spinning him around, and giving him a firm push towards the door.

"I need to get better at seduction," Yugi grumbled as he walked out of the kitchen.

"No you do not!"

"Do too!"

"Don't!"

"Do!"

"Don't!"

"Do!"

"Don't!

"Do!"

"Do!"

"Don't!"

"Okay! So glad you see it my way!"

"Damn," Yugi muttered. Yami's laughter could be heard throughout the house.

Yugi discarded his clothes, and hopped into the shower. The water was hot and hard, as he pelted against his back. It was almost as good as one of Atem's back massages, almost. It didn't dig into his muscles, like Atem did, but it still felt nice. Yugi found three different types of shampoos and conditioners to use. One he knew was a type he preferred but the other two must have been types that the others preferred. Old spice and Redken. Yugi usually used the Art Naturals brand, but maybe he should use one of these instead. Redken seemed like a good choice. He wondered who used the Redken brand.

Yugi climbed out of the shower, rubbing his towel through his hair as he walked across the hall to the bedroom. He heard someone in the hallway stutter and sigh, muttering a curse under their breath. Yugi stuck his head back out of the bedroom looking both ways down the hallway, but didn't see anyone. Maybe it was just his fancy? Completely plausible considering he was still hoping one of them might jump him at any given moment.

Yugi came bounding back out of the bedroom in a long sleeved black shirt, and blue jeans a moment later. He crashed into someone in the doorway of the kitchen. Atem caught him before he could get hurt though, balancing a tray of food in his other hand. Yugi heard him sniffing at his hair.

"Did you see the flowers that Yami got me? Isn't he just a regular gentleman?" Yugi asked looking up at Atem knowing full well that he had helped in picking them out too.

Atem let his waist go to flick him on the nose. Yugi just laughed, ducking under his arm, and whisking the tray away to the table. He didn't ever really eat at a table when around these two anymore. He missed sitting in a chair.

Yugi sat there eating his eggs, toast, and the bacon was a nice surprise, in pure joy. He wasn't sure why he kept trying to cook when he had such wonderful men to do it for him. Hmm, maybe he should save his specialty cooking skills for special events only? Like unwanted guests. He was going to need something to scare the boys off from his daughter.

"Yugi, all you have to do is give them that really scary look of yours and they'll be running for the hills," Yami said watching him in amusement.

"You're certain of this?"

"Quite certain."

"Good cause our little angel only deserves the best."

"And just what kind of man do you already have picked out for her huh?" Atem asked.

"Anything that you would consider to be the opposite of your lovely self."

Yami howled with laughter at the look on Atem's face. It was a mixture between offense and surprise.

"And what is so wrong with me?"

"Would you like a list?"

"Do you have one?"

"Yes. And I'm happy to report that there are a total of two things on it. Over obsessive self-control, and attractive jealousy."

"Attractive? How is jealousy attractive?"

"Oh, if you could only see the look on your face when you get all jealous and such, you'd know why I get all hot and bothered over it."

"Yugi," Atem had a warning tone to his voice. He'd finally caught on to what Yugi was doing. So much for subtlety.

"Yes, my Sexy Bunny?"

"Stop trying to seduce us. We have plane tickets for Tokyo, Japan that leaves at 3:17 pm today. We are getting on that flight. You will be in full fit condition when we land. Do you understand me?"

"Can't I be a little damaged?"

"No."

"Well, how long is the flight?"

"Around 19 hours give or take a few."

"Are we using private air fare?"

"No. Everyone took our jets back to Japan with them. Bloody wankers, making us use first class airfare."

"No beds?"

"You know what, Atem?" Yami asked, "I think it's better that they did, don't you?"

"I am starting to get that impression."

"Are the first class seats three seaters?"

"No. They're individual seats one in front of the other. Don't you worry though, we'll still put you in the middle."

"Maybe I want to be in front?"

"Too bad, you're in the middle."

"How about the back seat instead?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because this is a vampire plane that humans are allowed to be on if they're with a vampire. But, in order to assure the flight attendants that we have complete authority over you, the vampire must be behind their human. So it's easier to slip a hand on their shoulder if necessary," Atem explained.

"So I can be in front!" Yugi said excitedly.

"No," they said together firmly," you will be in the middle."

[Time skip]

Yugi bounced in his seat at the front of their three seater. The flight attendants looked amused at his behavior, and the King's and Queen's annoyance. They had tried, but the flight attendants had agreed with Yugi. He could be in front, if the vampires were behind him. Apparently there was no limit on the amount of vampires that could sit behind the human, but the human had to be in front of all of them. Though, to ease their paranoia a little, they put him in the very front seats of the plane, so Yugi was facing the wall that lead into the Pilot's cabin. Atem and Yami agreed to switch seats every five hours so they could both get some rest on the long flight, but also keep an alert eye on his giddy form. Not that this surprised them, Yugi was always giddy when he got his way unexpectedly. Just like a kid in a candy store.

"Does your human need the drug inserted into his food?" someone asked behind Yugi.

"Yes, he does."

"Hmph, and do try to quiet him. This isn't an amusement park."

Yugi turned around in his seat to face the rude vampire. "Hey, don't talk about me like that," Yugi said in a high and mighty tone. "I am your Prince and as such demand respect from my subjects. So you will be silent for the duration of the flight, and remain that way until you show us humans' proper respect."

The vampire's eyes widened with rage, and his lips curled to snarl back at him, but he found his voice indeed to be silent. Yugi gave him a haughty look before turning back around in his seat. The vampire shot a look at both the King and Queen like he was hoping they would take the order off of him. They saw no reason to though, this was the kind of opposition they'd been trying to squash for generations, but were only now actually starting to put into action. Talking only got them so far after all.

Now, Yugi's method might have been a little cruel, but if it worked on at least one person, who cared really? And he did need to check his attitude, especially when referring to the Prince, so they just left it. The vampire stomped his foot after receiving a minute's worth of the same questioning look from both of them before going to the next person. They both weren't sure why, he still couldn't speak, something he was finding out quickly.

"Your subjects, huh?" Yami asked after the vampire went storming into the area behind the curtain.

"That's right. They want to refer to me as their Prince, then they have to accept that they're my subjects. I may be human, but I'm tired of people treating me like I'm just your food source. Your property. Your Pet."

"No one calls you a Pet unless they're stupid. Like Armistead. We even went to the measures of labeling the term as a curse word when talking about Humans in polite society."

"Really?" someone asked from across the walkway leaning in towards them.

"Yes," Atem responded hoping that would be the end of their interruption. He even flashed a look at the vampire sitting behind them. She only looked up from her book, smiled, placed a brief hand on his shoulder, and went back to it.

"What was that for, Clarice?" he whined.

"Your own protection."

"It means mine," Yugi explained.

"I know what it means, but everyone knows they have you for every one of their needs. That was a very unnecessary touch."

"Unwanted too, by the looks of it."

"Hmph, this wasn't my choice. My parents made an exchange with her family. They'd allow the drinking of my blood in exchange for $2,000 a month."

"Oh, you're like Honda and Otogi then."

"Who?"

"Honda is a human, and Otogi is his vampire. Honda's parents get a check of 557,575 in Yen every month. That translates to $5,000. In exchange though, Otogi didn't have to look for a food source when he was old enough to have one, one was already assigned to him."

"Oh, so you don't find it wrong that my parents sold me off so they could live a better life?"

"Don't you still have contact with them?"

"No. As soon as I was 17, they shipped me off to the Giles clan, and I never heard from them again."

"But, I thought the deal was that the human must still have human contact with other humans. And if some of those humans are their family, than that's fine?" Yugi asked looking at the vampire woman.

"First, he has plenty of human contact. This same arrangement has been made for my 14 other siblings, so he gets more human contact than he probably wishes for sometimes. But his room in our home is still his room, and not even I am allowed to enter without his permission. That is the respect to we show to our food sources. As for the second accusation, they are well within their rights to see their son, but from the moment that they dropped him off six years ago, they've made no attempt to do so."

"Oh."

"Don't look so sad, Prince. He's better off with us."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because any parent who can so carelessly throw their child away for a large sum of money doesn't deserve to have any in the first place."

"He's not the only one from that family that yours has as a food source, is he?"

"No, he's one of five. We have all five under our care, he's merely the youngest. All are only worth $2,000 to their parents too. They've never tried to contact a single one of them. I assume that this Honda's parents are not the same?"

"No, he's his Mother's entire world. That's why she made the deal with them when he was 12, she didn't want to lose it."

"Wow, I wish my parents had done that for the same reason," the guy muttered under his breath and turned back around in his seat.

"So, you're the one who's coming to represent you're State, huh? We heard it would be someone from the Giles family, but not the who," Yami said.

"They were afraid if you heard it was a woman then you'd retract your claim."

"Why would we do that?"

"Yeah, haven't you ever heard of Isis, they're healer? They're all for a woman being in charge!"

"Charge? In charge of what?"

"Yugi, there is already a High Lord of her State, we don't need to start a power dispute by adding another," Atem sighed.

"Oh, um, just ignore me, I have no idea what I'm talking about anyway."

"Oh ho, my family is too low on the totem pole of Vampire Hierarchy for that kind of claim anyway."

"So, what are they offering you?"

"The chance to run the new Food Drive Warehouse in the part of Ma-my State that I live. All candidates must go through a vigorous background check, and interview before it can be determined if they're even a viable candidate or not. My family has been trying to gain this sort of social standing for four years now, and we've finally been given the opportunity to do so."

"I thought it was a Blood Drive?" the guy asked rolling his eyes.

"Hush, Warren. No one needs to hear your sarcasm."

"But it is a Blood Drive, it was Food Drive which was mentioned sarcastically," Yugi corrected his eyes glittering with mirth.

"And how would you know that?" she asked putting her book down finally.

"Because he's the one who suggested it," Yami said reaching forwards and grabbing his hand.

"Is that not the book of rules when running a Food Drive Warehouse?" Atem asked pointing to the book in her lap.

"Yes, my Father thought me knowing the rules ahead of time would make me a more viable candidate for the position."

"And do you have any issues with any of them so far?"

"No, not so far."

"Really? Because there's always one that most vampires seem to have a problem with."

"No, I think it's completely reasonable that it's against the law to have all Food Sources be unable to donate their blood to the Blood Drive for Vampires' Wellness."

"I was only trying to be helpful," Yugi muttered. Warren snickered into his hand.

"Job is yours," Atem said with a small smirk, "just for that comment alone."

"Wh-Just like that?"

"Yes," Yami agreed. "That is the rule that most disagree with. We are happy to find someone that agrees with the council, and us, on the decision we made to bar Food Sources from donating their own blood to the drive."

"But why would anyone disa-?" she cut herself off, eyes flicking over to Yugi and away again. "Never mind, I think I might recall the reasoning for the strong rebuttal now." Clarice raised the book up again, and went back to reading.

"Hey," Warren sat up on his knees to look over the back of the chair, "we can still explore Japan right? I mean I worked so hard on my Japanese, please?"

Clarice didn't say a word, just smiled while she read. She turned the page and the smile fell from her face, but a big grin eclipsed Warren's.

"Yes!" he shouted for the entire plane to hear.

Yugi was the one laughing now. A different flight attendant came up to them with a nervous look upon her face. "Um, Prince, do you mind letting Austin speak please?"

"Who's Austin?"

"The one you ordered to be quiet earlier."

"No. He deserves his punishment."

"Yes, you have a point, however this job does require that he speaks. So please? I mean, he still won't be able to talk to humans unless it's with respect, right?"

"No."

"He is the senior flight attendant of this craft."

"Oh, that sounds important."

She sighed, closing her eyes, before turning to the two behind him, and giving them imploring eyes. Atem sighed, got up, and walked away. He was back moments later though, looking a little annoyed himself.

"Thank you, my King."

Atem merely raised his head at her, as Austin reappeared pushing her aside and opening his mouth to say something to Yugi with a sneer already forming across his lips. Yugi sat there watching, chin on fist, as he seemed to struggle with whatever it was he was trying to say. Yugi knew he wasn't really struggling, he was merely trying to be rude again, and his order was preventing it. Eventually Yugi became bored with his wordless gesture, including the one with three of his fingers raised at him, and picked up one of the magazines in front of him and attempted to read it. It seemed his order had had more of an effect on him than he'd originally realized.

When Yugi did this, Atem stepped in and gave him more orders. Like taking the position of serving for the second class, and sending one of those attendants up to serve first class. Oh, and not wanting to see him until the plane landed as well. Basically, orders everyone could live with especially those in first class who were finding his disturbance unappealing

After struggling to make sense of the strange letters on the pages he was skimming through, Yugi threw the magazine over his shoulder at the person behind him. Then he unbuckled, and got up to sit in their lap. Yami raised an eyebrow at him, as the magazine came flying back over the seat.

"Missed me," Yami whispered.

"I didn't really care where it landed, I was just tossing it over my shoulder," Yugi replied back, not bothering to whisper, and laying his head down on his shoulder.

"Lunch is here, Yami," Atem said softly behind them.

"I'm not really hungry yet."

"Too bad. Want to eat here, or in your own seat?"

"My own seat." Yugi got up off of Yami's lap and sat back in his seat. That was poor timing, he was going to take a nap.

"I am not a bed, Yugi," Yami groaned.

"I still think you're comfy."

"Vegetable soup, sourdough roll, and jello."

"No jello," Atem and Yami said together as it was swiped off his plate.

"Oh, come on! I'm sure there are tons of things on this aircraft that have yet to be discovered."

"No!"

"Spoil sports."

"What's in the soup?" Atem asked.

"Lima beans, carrots, navy beans, leeks, salt, pepper, green beans, and celery."

"Please eat around the lima beans."

"Give me back the jello, and I might think about it."

"No."

"Lucky I'm not a big fan of the lima bean side effect," he grumbled. Both of them grinned at that even though Yugi couldn't see them do so.

"What do lima beans do?" someone asked from across the walkway somewhere behind him.

"They give the consumer unstable emotions," Yami sighed as Yugi heard and felt a thump on the back of his seat.

"Did Yami just hit his head, Atem?"

"He did indeed."

"Does he need a kiss to make it all better?"

"Eat, Yugi," Yami said softly.

"Yeah yeah."

Yugi took the next five minutes to pick out all the lima beans and put them aside. After he had determined that he had gotten them all, he started to eat. It was funny though, the more he ate the soup the hotter he got. Not knowing what was wrong with him, or recognizing the signs of a side effect, he continued to eat until it was all gone. Yugi grabbed a magazine and started to fan himself with it as he ate the roll. Once that was gone, and Yugi was still pretty hot around the collar he took off his sweatshirt. Grabbing the magazine again, he started to fan himself once more.

"Yugi, are you alright?" Yami asked from behind him.

"Why is it so hot in here? Tell them to turn down the heat. There's no reason why it should be this high."

"Yugi it's fine in here. It's not hot at all."

"You're crazy. I'm burning up." With those words he threw down the magazine and attempted to take off his shirt.

"Hey!" Yami said, grabbing the bottom of his shirt and pulling it back down.

"But it's hot!"

"It is not!"

"Hey! Give that back to him!" A voice shouted in the back.

"Why? He didn't seem to want it! And it's freezing in here!" a female voice complained back.

"Would you like my pants too?"

"No! She would not!"

"Yes! Yes, I would!"

"You keep your pants on, you hear me?"

Atem's and Yami's heads whipped back towards the commotion giving Yugi the only opportunity he needed to discard his shirt. This stripping act wasn't helping at all. If anything it was making his condition worse. He really needed an ice bucket or something. Or maybe a large pile of snow that he could just jump into. Who cared about the possibility of hypothermia? He was hot.

Yami jumped as a shirt whacked him in the face cutting off the scene going on in the back of plane. The human males were stripping, and the female humans were layering up. All the vampires were giving each other looks that clearly said side effect. Great, just great. The last place they needed a side effect was on an airborne craft. Yami pulled the shirt off his head to find it to be their human's.

"Yugi, you put this back on right now."

"Make me."

"You really want me to?"

"I want to see you try."

"Yugi! Put your shirt back on!" Atem ordered.

"Like I said, make me!"

"Gimme that! Come here!"

Yugi balked slightly before bolting over Warren and another human and onto the other side of the walkway. He wasn't the only human fleeing from the grasp of their vampire. Most of the human males were. Yugi could see the same thing happening in the second class seating of the plane too.

"Yugi I am warning you," Atem growled from the other walkway.

"Ooo, scary voice, I'm just shaking in fear over here."

"You're going to be doing more than shaking when I get my hands on you."

"Oh? And what exactly did you have in mind?"

The vampires muffled their laughter at the less than terrified reaction of the human Prince, and the annoyed look of the King. A lot of the humans just had open mouths at the brazen way in which Yugi was acting around the vampire. He didn't seem to have a single fear in the world.

"Here. Now." Atem pointed to the spot in front of him.

"No! You're just going to try to make me put that article of clothing on, and make my condition of being hot worse."

"Oh no, I'm going to make your condition far worse than just being hot if I don't see your skinny ass over here this instant."

"Now, is that any way to incent me to come back over there, hm?"

"Yami, you reason with him!" Atem ordered.

"No, I'm good watching you try to threaten him and all of it coming to naught," Yami said. "Kind of reminds me of that other time we were trying to reason with him, and it was all coming to a fruitless end. Can't remember what it was about at the moment, but I know it was probably something far from important."

"Ugh! Why're you both being so difficult?"

"Well, this is clearly a side effect. Best to just let it wear off before forcing it back on him."

"Oh, so you're okay with everyone here seeing that piece of fine body that we get enjoy all the time?"

"He's not fine!" One of the girls complained.

"Yeah, I mean do you see any muscle tone on him? But you two, if you want to strip along with him, any moment would be nice," another added batting her eyes at him.

"Oh Ra," Atem said sinking down into his seat.

"And just how do you know what he looks like shirtless?" Yugi asked.

"Could that shirt be any tighter?"

"Disgraceful!" Yugi shouted at them pointing his finger. "We are getting you two a whole new wardrobe when we get home! No one is allowed to see those fine bods but me! It will be only baggy clothing from here on out!"

Yami and Atem both gave him disbelieving looks. But Yugi's look was firm and determined. How dare they tease the world with what they couldn't have? That was his job. Speaking of it though. These women didn't think he was hot? Just they wait and see. Yugi crawled back over the one human and Warren, and slid like water into Yami's lap.

"Why hello there, and just what can I do for you?" Yami asked leaning away from him slightly.

"You can help me to prove to these little girls that I am hot too," Yugi replied grabbing his tie and pulling him closer.

Yami had barely opened his mouth to protest when Yugi had his mouth over his. He was capable putty in Yugi's hands the moment their lips touched. Yugi pushed him back against the plane wall and window, and hovered over him slightly, fisting his shirt and pushing his tongue past his feeble defenses. He begged Yami to play with him, and the latter complied.

"Yami, could you please try to muster up some self-restraint? Please?" Atem asked.

Way too much effort would have to be put into that. This option carries less resistance.

Feeling left out?

Don't be a baka. We both know that Yami is easier to seduce than a wolf in heat.

Hey! That is not true!

Then try some self-restraint already.

Nope, I think I'm okay with being a wolf in heat.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Yugi pulled away as he laughed at the response.

"What's so funny?" someone asked.

"I love you," Yugi said kissing Yami again. This kiss was soft and gentle. The complete opposite of the previous one.

And I you, Yugi.

Want to put your shirt back on yet?

No.

Still hot?

I'm always hot.

Yugi…

Yes?

Tell me when you're not, okay?

Never going to happen.

You're impossible.

I love you, Atem.

I'll let you know when I love you again.

Yami!

Play nice.

After about an hour Yugi started to get cold, and requested his shirt back. Atem was only too happy to hand it over. Some of the other human males were having a little more difficulty getting their clothes back as it seemed that side effect lasted longer for the females than it did them. After another hour passed by though, they were finally able to get their clothing back.

Do you love me now?

Yes.

He loves me again, Yami.

Good to hear it. You do know he never stopped loving though, right?

Maybe. I just wanted to hear him say it out loud.

You're hopeless.

Yugi got off of Yami about two hours later, and switched to Atem's lap. The latter barely had a five second warning as to Yugi's true intentions when he reached down to the side of the seat before he was reeling back. Yugi lay across Atem as if he was the comfiest mattress in the world, and Yugi intended to use him as one as he ordered a blanket.

"I thought I was the comfy one," Yami complained as he leaned over the back of chair to look at them.

"Atem needs love, and he's gotten comfier in the past few days. You might just have some competition in the comfy department now."

"How dare you steal my title for being the comfier vampire," Yami teased. The rest of the plane thought he was serious though, especially with the next comment. "This means war."

"You know as well as I do that he's as fickle as the tide," Atem said rolling his eyes as he pulled the blanket that the flight attendant handed him up over Yugi.

"Besides that, if I cuddle Yami he might try to strip me," Yugi whispered into Atem's ear. "Apparently this is supposed to be an incident free trip."

Atem snorted with laughter as he tucked Yugi's head into the crook of his neck.

"I know Mr. In-Control would never try to take advantage of me like that, no matter how much I may move atop him while asleep."

"Oh Yugi, I thought I told you, you don't move in your sleep. If you did, I'd be up all night. And I most certainly wouldn't be idle."

Yugi didn't even blush, just nipped at Atem's neck a little as if to warn him not to tease. Atem moved him slightly so he was tucked more into his side, rather than on top of him. This also allowed for Yugi's mouth to have more distance from Atem's neck. Yugi had a different idea though as he slid his hand up Atem's shirt and tweaked a nipple.

"Yugi!" Atem shouted as he jumped slightly.

"What did he do?" Yami asked in a lazy voice.

Atem didn't say anything, just turned his head away from Yami his face forming a small pout. Yami grinned, looks like someone was being naughty under there. Atem glowered at Yami with annoyed eyes, then they both felt the serene state flow over the link flawlessly.

"How does he do this?" Atem asked looking down at Yugi.

"Looks like you might have abused the suggestive hypnotism on sleep," someone said from behind them.

"Huh?" Yami asked as he and Atem both looked up.

A young man with dark hair and eyes sat there with a perfect view of them, since the seat was back all the way courtesy of Yugi.

"When you use suggestive hypnotism on the action of sleep too much on humans they tend to require this unique ability to sleep wherever and however they like. Even in the most uncomfortable of positions sometimes. Like on the monkey bars that you put up for your children hanging upside down no less."

"You're joking."

"I wish I was, but there hung my food source, upside down and fast asleep. Somehow still managing to keep her grip on the bars. My wife was even kind enough to take pictures of the incident. It's been two years since the monkey bars happened and even though I haven't used the suggestive hypnotism on her, she still falls asleep on will. Like at my son's wedding. She was on stage playing the piano when we all heard the most unmusical chord of all erupt from the contraption. Guess she was finally tired after staying awake for 48 hours straight. Eggplant. Who knew?"

"Yugi likes to abuse that side effect, especially during finals. You'd think he liked staying up all night to study or something."

"Where's your human now?" Atem asked.

"On her honeymoon. I'm on my way back from harassing the happy couple for food. She didn't seem to care but the lucky guy was less than pleased. Actually took a swing at me."

"You didn't," Yami groaned.

"She said she wasn't moving! I was hungry. I'm simply asking who needs two months of a honeymoon, huh? Who?!"

"Anyone who has a vampire that carts them around like an expensive Prada bag," someone to their left huffed.

"I do not!" her red haired vampire huffed behind her.

"So you say. But I assure you I've seen more of this world over the past few months than I have of home."

"What's a Prada bag?" he asked them.

"I believe it's an expensive purse of sorts," the dark haired vampire answered.

"Well, that expensive part is dead on target. Who knew a walking talking breathing blood bag was going to be such a pricey investment. Everyone assured me that I didn't want one, I needed one if I was going to become a Vampire Diplomat one day. Over the past few eight months, I've seriously been considering a change in career goals."

"Yes, having and caring for a live food source does help with a political career, but if that's the only reason why you bit her I suggest switching to bagged blood," Yami said wisely. "What you truly need to become a diplomat is intelligence, education, compassion, and an understanding of the modern day world. That's what we're currently aiming for in the new Vampire Diplomats."

"So, having her around might actually be a good thing? She's pretty modern, crazy parties, constant selfies, twittering and Facebook surround her life, and she's pretty much cut off the real world around her. If it doesn't fit into her personal bubble than it doesn't matter."

"I do not!"

"Really? What's a world life crisis that's going on right now in the real world?" the red head asked.

"Uh, Graphic T's went out of style, and I have a full closet of those?"

"See what I mean?"

"Actually I think you might lose intelligence by keeping her. Go to the library that's where they keep all the intelligent food sources."

"Hey! I go to the library they have free Wi-Fi to feed my Yaoi fetish."

"You guys are Japanese, what's Yaoi?"

"Don't you dare tell him! If he doesn't yet know what it is, then I don't want him to catch on now!"

"If the lot of you don't shut up then I'll tell him," Yugi growled.

"Aw, did we disturb your sleep?" the girl fake simpered.

"It's Boy Love!"

"What's Boy Love?" the male vampire asked.

"Are you sure she's the less intelligent one of the two?" Yugi asked looking up at Yami.

"Do you like Boy Love, Yugi?" Atem asked. Neither he nor Yami knew what this Boy Love thing was.

"Oh, you should already know the answer to that. Now all of you, SHUT UP, I'm trying to sleep."

Every vampire on the plane was silenced, and Yugi got back to sleep. This didn't stop the humans from talking, most of them trying to get their vampires to talk, but it did stop most of the noise on the plane. Having a plane with the majority being vampires wasn't always a benefit it seemed.

[Time skip]

"Sautéed navy beans?" Atem asked. "Why would anyone sauté navy beans and then put them in a soup?"

"I don't know, Atem," Isis sighed, as Yugi felt a hand buttoning his jeans. "You'll have to take it up with the flight company. Next time just arrange for one of your planes to fly out there to get you instead of taking commercial."

Someone sighed, and a door shut close by. Yugi opened his eyes to find himself alone in his room. They were home. Oh, his babies needed him. Or rather he needed his babies. After making sure his clothes were in proper order, he rushed from the room, passing Atem and Yami on the way.

"Yugi!" they both shouted.

"Looks like he's headed towards the Nanny's room. You can see who the most important people are around here," Isis chuckled.

"Eh, whatever, we've got business to do anyway," Atem said.

"What kind of business?"

"Let's start with your sisters, and why they haven't been sent home yet? We don't keep our family as captives, Yami."

"They weren't acting like family."

Yugi took two sharp turns before bursting into the Nanny's room. Both of his children looked up from their drawings on the table, and shrieked in loud high pitched screams.

"MOMMA!"

They were in Yugi's arms in seconds. Yugi hugged and kissed his two children. Held them close like they'd been separated for years instead of only a few weeks.

"Hey, do you two want to help your Mom with something?"

"Anything, Mom," Daniel said.

"Alright, come with me."

Yugi took their hands, and led them down the hallways. He stopped outside of a particular one, and pulled his children quickly to the side to hide them from view as Yami came storming out of a room some ways down the hallway.

"Then I sure hope you're comfortable because you are never leaving Japan, or this room!"

"Yami! If you don't get them plane tickets I will!" Atem shouted coming out of the room and running after him.

"This has nothing to do with you! So just stay the hell out of it!"

"Be reasonable! Yami, please!"

Yugi waited until they were gone, along with their voices, before pulling his children around, and walking down the hallway and into the room that they had just vacated.

"Back already?" Malalia asked looking over as Yugi shut the door behind him.

"No, he's not, but I am. Why don't you two sit outside for a little bit while the grownups talk, hm?" Yugi ushered his children outside.

"What do you want?" Adaline asked.

"I just want to know why you hate him so much."

"We don't hate him."

"Then why? Why don't you want anything to do with him?"

"Because our Father was right about him. He does choose his new family over his blood relatives."

"Your…Father? The one who sold you away to pay off his own debts?"

"He tried to make contact with Yami too, when he was younger but was just tossed aside. He found us about 2000 years later and was able to warn us ahead of time about the behavior."

"And Yami himself proved it!" Malalia threw in. "When he ran away at the Christmas Ball. Same night you lot got engaged if I'm not mistaken."

"Oh, he wasn't running away because he wanted nothing to do with you. He ran away so no one would see him crying, because you wanted nothing to do with him."

"Those are all lies!"

"And I proposed to them, not the other way around. He just looked so defeated that I demanded he marry me. That he become a part of my family. I wanted him to."

"Hm, so you say. Nice ring."

Yugi looked down at it and sighed, "Yeah, it's nice."

"You don't like it?" Adaline asked.

"Why would any guy like this atrocious thing on their hand?! It's so girly it makes me sick!"

"Oh, and do they know that?"

"I can't tell them! Do you know how proud they looked when it was finally on my finger? Ugh, we're off subject. So your Father told you that he wanted nothing to do with you. But isn't the fact that you're still here a contradiction to that?"

"What do you mean?" Malalia asked.

"You're still here because Yami wants you here. He wants to have his two little sisters back, but the only thing standing in the way is your own pride. What exactly did your Father tell you?"

"That he walked into the Pharaoh's court and expected to be accepted into Yami's world. But he took one look at him, and punched him so hard that he flew from the front of the chambers to the back of it, making a rather deep crater in the wall. Then Yami told him they'd never be family so long as he breathed."

"Did Yami ever ask about you when his Father paid him this little visit?"

"Of course he did," Adaline said, "and he answered Yami truthfully that he sold us as well to pay off his drunken debts."

"After Yami had originally taken your place to save you from being sold to the slave traders instead?"

"Um, yes."

"And at what point did Yami punch him? Before or after this information was given to him?"

Malalia and Adaline looked at one another, before Malalia answered, "We don't know."

"Did you think to ask?"

"No."

"I see. Well, I didn't come down here to just pick your brains. I also came down to ask if you wanted to meet your Nephew, Daniel. Mine and Yami's son."

"And what of our Niece?"

"Uh, that's mine and Atem's daughter. Yami and Atem are married yes, but we're not, so I'm not sure if she is your Niece. I'm not even sure if she'll be your Niece if Atem and I do marry. It's all so complicated when you have two children at the same time from two different partners."

"Just bring those cuties back in here."

Yugi chuckled slightly before opening the door and calling the children back in. He saw Atem standing on the other side of the hallway. Yugi gave him a nervous grin.

May I inquire as to what you're doing?

I thought maybe the kids would soften them enough to want to be a part of Yami's family too?

Let me know how it goes before you tell Yami, okay?

Sure thing.

Yugi popped back inside and closed the door behind him. His children were already at work asking them a thousand and one questions. They seemed to have already breezed past the introductions, and who their parents were.

Malalia looked up at him, "You trained them to call the other dominant male in their lives by their first name?"

"Yes, they refer to their Step-Fathers' by their first names. I explained to the two that I was uncomfortable with them both being Daddy to both of them. That I wanted them to be able to differentiate between the one that helped to bring them into this beautiful world, and the one that didn't."

"Yeah, it's better that way too, cause Daniel's Daddy is a complete pushover!" Marchelle added. "Not like my Daddy, he's strong and firm. He's not scary though, not like Mommy is. Mommy is the one in charge, and Mommy gets scary when he's not obeyed."

"Mom is the dominant one?" both ladies asked looking up at him. Yugi placed a finger over his smirking lips.

"My Daddy is not a pushover!" Daniel rebutted against Marchelle.

"Is too!"

"Nuh-uh!"

"Kids, we have guests. Behave," Yugi reminded gently.

"Sorry Momma."

"So, do you want to play a game?"

"No, we can't right now. We need to get home, and find our Father. We have a few more questions for him. Besides, your Mother makes a very good argument."

"I do?"

"Yes, we haven't been able to hold it against Yami for not recognizing our voices ever since that night. It wasn't right of us to assume that that our original reasoning was why he never even spared us a glance. Your point was a little too valid. Both of them are. We need all the facts."

"Are you going to come back to visit us?" Daniel asked.

"Well, that all depends on your Father, Daniel," Adaline said gently.

"Don't worry, I'll convince him!"

"Daniel," Yugi said gently and the child looked at him. Yugi shook his head gently, and Daniel looked at the ground with a sad sigh.

"I want to see them though. I just found out that we have two more Aunts, so why can't they come back?"

"Because they need to work it out with Yami first. They're his family first. Once Yami accepts them then they'll be our family too."

There was a knock on the door before Yami opened it without waiting for a response. He stopped, frozen for half a second at seeing Yugi and the children in the room. Then he shook it off, and walked up to them.

"Here, these are for you," he said shoving some papers in their hands. "Do whatever you want. Stay, leave, come back, don't come back, at least I know you're alive and well. I suppose that's all that matters in the end."

He turned on his heel, grabbing Yugi's arm in the process and dragging him along with him.

"Uh, Daniel, Marchelle, make sure you track down a guard to have your Nanny come and get you when you leave your Aunts, okay?"

"Yes Momma," they said together. Then the two were running after them. Seemed they wanted to be with him more than the new people they were just introduced to. How odd. New people were usually like new toys.

"Yami can you let go, or at least let me turn around?" Yugi asked. Yami seemed to have a better idea as he slammed Yugi against the wall. He told the kids to go find their Nanny now. Mom would come for them later. Both scampered off.

"What the hell was that, huh? Why would you introduce them to our kid, huh? They don't even want to be a part of our family! They made that very clear. So what was your angle? Tell me, Yugi!"

"I thought maybe the kids would soften them up to change their minds?"

"Well, did it?"

"No, I did."

"What?"

"Your Father filled their heads with lies. That's why they… Why they are as they are."

Yami released him, and backed up slightly, "What lies?"

"The same ones they've been telling you. That you want nothing to do with them. So, did you punch him before or after you got the whereabouts of your sisters?"

"Heh, what do you think?"

"I thought so. Now the thought has been put into their minds as well. They said they were going to find him for more answers."

"He'll just lie again. The only reason he didn't lie to me was because he was trying to get sympathy from everyone around me. Especially my husband."

"Sounds like it backfired."

"There wasn't much to sympathize with after he told the court that he sold me and then later my sisters to pay off his own debts. I wasn't even admonished for losing my temper and hitting him so hard he not just went flying, but took a pillar with him as he went."

"Is that when you told him he wasn't welcome in your life ever again?"

"No, Atem said that as he held me back so I didn't kill him. Told him to get out of sight, and if he ever saw him again he would let me kill him. Seth, Mahad, and Isis threw a single gold coin at his feet. Told him that was his fortune and not to spend it all in one place. Last I saw of him, the guards were dragging him out by his wrists. I didn't talk to Atem for a couple of weeks."

"Couldn't have been easy as you were most likely new mates?"

"Too bad, he was getting the silent treatment. After all that is my favorite punishment."

"It is?"

"Best two weeks ever."

"Um, okay, mind if I go get my kids now?"

"Go."

"By the way, do you and Atem need rescuing from your business?"

Yami shook his head before giving him a small push. Yugi shrugged before walking off, hands shoved into his pockets. It took him sometime but he was finally back at the Nanny's door. All he did was open it, and his kids were there in his arms. He whisked them off, half carrying them both. They were getting big. Pretty soon he was sure they would be as big as him.

Yugi bundled them up in winter gear and they went outside to play in the snow. It was a Saturday, so he had two days with them before needing to go back to school. And returning them to theirs, since it sounded like they had refused to go back until they saw their parents. The Palace staff were pushovers, Nanny included. He needed a new Nanny for them, one with a backbone. He'd start the hunt as soon as possible.

When they finally came back inside they were soaked and freezing. Yugi ordered for three hot cocoas to be brought up to his room. Yugi spent the rest of the day sitting on his bed and listening to his children talk about their adventures with his cousin and sister over the past few weeks.

By the end of the day Atem and Yami came back exhausted to find all three of them cuddled into bed together. Atem and Yami just rolled their eyes, and moved the children to the other room so they could sleep with their lover. Yugi awoke just long enough to see that it was Atem and Yami taking away his personal space heaters, and then fell back asleep before they were back in the room.

When Yugi woke up the next morning it was already past noon, and they were gone from bed. Sitting up, he saw that his kids were gone too. How did he get to be so tired anyway? It was a complete baffle to him in his sleep dazed mind as he went to the bathroom, and then in search of some food.

After getting a breakfast burrito from the kitchen he went to find someone. Atem was who he found first looking over papers in his study. Yugi always thought it was odd that he wore glasses while doing this, didn't vampires have perfect vision?

"Hey, Atem?" Yugi asked quietly as he slipped into a chair in the study by a pair of windows.

"Yes, Yugi."

"Why do you wear glasses if your vision is better than mine?"

"Come here, I'll show you."

Yugi looked over at him, and got up to go sit in his lap. Atem handed him the glasses, and Yugi put them on. He looked down at the pages in front of him and gasped. He took off the glasses, and then put them back on. The glasses were magical, translating the written word on the page into Japanese.

"Wow! Where can I get a pair of these?"

"A vampire science academy that was burned down 500 years ago."

"Aww."

"They only made 12 pairs. Never divulged how they made them either, just that they wouldn't make anymore."

"They translate it into the wearer's first language don't they?"

"Yes, they do."

"So you see ancient Egyptian when you look through them."

"I do."

"Lucky. I wish I could see the words in pristine solid letters rather than the faded ones that I saw when I went on digs with Grandpa."

"Yugi, why didn't you just tell us that you didn't like it?"

"Of course I love my ring! Who told you I didn't?"

"I never specified as to what you didn't tell us."

"Uh, um, uh, coming!"

"Well, at least he didn't try to lie again," Atem muttered as he went back to his papers.

Yugi ran out of the study and straight into Yami's arms.

"Hm, you seem to be far more active than you should be for someone who lost two pints of blood."

"Two pints of blood," Yugi pondered. That was right it was Sunday, feeding day, which explained why he'd been so drowsy and slept so late. But…why didn't he remember them feeding? Yugi looked up at Yami with questioning eyes.

"We tried to wake you up completely but you kept complaining that no one should be up before the sun."

"No one should be up before the sun."

"We barely got you to eat your soup before you were out again. I've no doubt that a bomb could've gone off next to you, and you still wouldn't have been roused."

"Did you try it?"

"No, Atem wouldn't let me. It wasn't like it was a real bomb. Just an air horn, but he snatched it from me before I could use it."

"Heh heh, smart man."

"Come with me. I need you to do something. It's the only reason I followed your scent this way."

"Oh, I need to do something too," Yugi said as Yami wrapped his arms around his shoulders.

"And what's that?"

"Fire the Nanny and replace her with someone who has a backbone to cute faces like Atem."

"Whoa, don't you think this is something you should discuss with Atem and me first? I mean we were the ones who hired her in the first place. I assure you she came highly recommended."

"I don't want highly recommended. I want someone who doesn't bend to cute faces that beg to let them skip school until Mom and Dads get home."

"Wait, she what?"

"That's the way the children were telling it. Look, I see the benefits of having a Nanny, but can we please get a different one? Please?"

"Yugi, you haven't liked her since she stepped foot in this place, why?"

"Bad Mom vibes?"

"That's not a real thing, you know this right?"

"They feel pretty real to me."

"Yugi, all three of us together are going to discuss this whole idea of firing the Nanny and getting a new one, okay?" Yami turned them to face one another as rested his arms on Yugi's shoulders and pressed their foreheads together. "You will not fire her and replace her before we do, understand?"

"Nope! I feel like I need to go off on my own and do this."

"You do realize that the children have more than one parent, right?"

"Yes, of course I do."

"Then this is a decision we all need to make together."

"What is wrong with you today?" Yugi asked pulling away from him to look up at him with suspicious eyes.

"What do you mean?"

"Are you feeling okay?" Yugi put a hand on his forehead. Yami bat it away.

"There is nothing wrong with me."

"No, there must be. Usually you just go along with me where the kids are concerned. You and Atem both, but you're not today. Who are you and what have you done with my fiancé?"

"Yugi, I am your fiancé."

"Are you sure?"

"Quite positive."

Yugi's eyes narrowed even more before leaning up to kiss Yami. Yami jumped back from him, a good two feet from him. Yugi stood there, looking him up and down. There had to be something wrong with him. Yami wouldn't pull away, not at the moment at least.

"What's wrong? Afraid your kiss will reveal something?" Yugi asked. He expected Yami to smile and say 'absolutely', but he didn't. He rolled his eyes at Yugi like he thought he was being annoying or foolish.

"You're just trying to distract me with affection. It's how you usually get your way isn't it?"

"I'm not sure, is it? You tell me, Yami."

Yugi could find no discrepancies. No blemishes, nothing wrong with the voice, the way he walked, there wasn't anything that was wrong with him visually either. The only thing was the way he talked. Like he was far more mature than Yami usually was. Around him at least anyway. That was the only thing that was setting Yugi on edge. Yugi brought the wall separating Yami's link from Atem's link down.

Yami, what are you doing right now?

Working on paperwork. Good to see you're finally up. Oh, and Atem and I have a present for you before you go back to school tonight.

Where are you right now?

My study. Why so curious today?

"Who are you?" Yugi asked in a cold voice as he stared at the man across from him.

Because I also see you standing across the hallway from me. I'm pretty sure this man is a vampire, but he could be your twin. The only thing that isn't the same is the way he talks.

Atem. Find Yugi.

"I am your fiancé. I am Yami. Now will you please come with me? I want to show you something."

Already on it. He let his walls down so it's like a broadcasting station.

"You are not my fiancé."

Oh, no, that was actually just one wall. The one between you and Yami.

"Yugi, it is me. Ya-mi."

"Yugi!" Atem shouted from the right. Both of their heads whipped in his direction.

"Crap," Yami cursed before Yugi saw him vanish out of the corner of his eye. Yugi felt two brushes of air whip past him and then Atem had him in his arms.

"That…wasn't Yami?" Atem asked like he was questioning it himself.

"Everything was the same. Except the way he talked. It was too mature. Yami is never that mature when around me. It was the only ringing bell."

"Yugi!" someone shouted behind him. Yugi turned to find Atem standing there.

"Ah, ah, ah," Yugi looked between the two Atems. He was so confused. Which one was the real one?

"Hm, seems I have a doppelganger too."

Yugi shoved the Atem that was holding him away. He braced himself against the wall as his head flipped back and forth between the two. Which one was his Atem? Which one was the real one? The one approaching them had a lethal look on his face, but in no way was it at all pretty. Not like it usually was. Yugi turned to the first Atem to ask him if he could make a prettier face, but he already had it on.

"This is the face I'm looking for," Yugi said kissing Atem's cheek, and spinning around him to put his vampire between the imposter and him. "Um, these are still Mimickers, right?"

"I really don't know. They look more like clones," Atem said as Osiris and Peyton appeared next to the imposter.

"I'm sorry my King, he escaped," Peyton panted.

"That's fine, grab that one," the fake said pointing at Yugi's fiancé.

"Do not trust him, he is the fake. Grab him," Atem rebutted.

"Uh…," they looked between the two utterly lost as to which King they should arrest. Ethan suddenly appeared at their backs. He didn't say a word just flashed a look at Yugi, and Yugi pointed to the one by them. Ethan had the imposter in a hold that Yugi had never seen a vampire use before.

One of his arms was wrapped around his neck just under the chin as the hand entangled into fake Atem's hair pulling his head back, exposing his neck further, while the other hand had an ankle, and the leg was pulled back until the bottom of the foot was touching the fake's back.

"What are you doing? He's the imposter! Not me, him!"

"No, I'm sorry, but you didn't pass the beauty contest. This one did," Yugi explained softly.

"Beauty contest?" the imposter asked in bafflement.

"Yes, you both were given the opportunity to show off your most lethal looks, and I'm afraid you're just not pretty enough to pull it off."

"Don't tell the enemy that!" Atem said in exasperation.

The imposter slumped a little, "You think that when a vampire is giving off his most deadly look that it's pretty?"

"No, only with my mates is it pretty. Everyone else is very unattractive. Of this I can assure you."

"Oh geez, why does my Master want someone so screwed up?"

"And just who is your Master?"

"I…I don't know. We are to call him Master, nothing else. In all the time I've been under his…care, I've never once heard his name."

"Hm, well, we will discuss more about your Master at a different time. For now, you three take him away. We will definitely need to study him."

"Oh, there's no need. My corpse will tell you nothing."

"Corpse?" Atem asked staring at him like he had a second head.

Then they all heard what sounded like a double crack in the back of his mouth, and watched as he swallowed. 30 seconds later and he was deadweight in Ethan's arms. Ethan let him go, and they all watched in amazement as Atem's face, skin color, eye color, and everything that was Atem seemed to wash off of the person. There lay a woman of dark skin, dark hair, electric blue eyes, in clothes that were two sizes too big. She couldn't have been more than twenty when turned.

Yugi looked up Atem, but he was just staring at her, mouth agape like he was seeing a ghost.

"Uh, Atem?"

"Um, get her to one of the chambers and we'll investigate this further later."

"Isn't this-?" Peyton started to ask.

"NOW!" Atem roared.

"King," all three said kneeling once before disappearing with the woman.

Yugi reached out and touched Atem's arm. He jumped before spinning and crushing Yugi to his chest. He said nothing, and did nothing, just held him, like Yugi was a dock he clinging to so as not to drown. Yami appeared at their sides.

"Here you…are," he breathed heavily.

Atem didn't even hesitate, he just grabbed Yami by his throat and slammed him against the opposite wall, legs dangling out from under him.

"Prove your Yami," Atem demanded.

"Atem, I am your mate, what are you doing?" Yami gasped as he grappled at Atem's hand at his throat.

"Prove it."

"Yami, make a lethal face. Like someone is around me that shouldn't be."

The Yami that Atem had did not do this, instead his eyes narrowed as he glared down at Yugi. Like what Yugi was suggesting was the most unappealing thing to him he couldn't even contemplate the thought of doing it. There was that double crack again that they'd heard before, but Atem shoved his fist into the imposter's gut before he could swallow. Two fake teeth fell out of his mouth and hit Atem in the face. He wiped them away with his free hand. Yugi caught them before they could hit the ground, and pocketed them.

Now the imposter was really struggling as Atem pressed down on where a human's pressure point was. It took longer than it would for a human, but the vampire did fall unconscious eventually. Atem looked at him for a moment or two more before looking away down the hallway.

"Hotsuma, Kara, take him to a chambers and put him in one of the ice containers. I want him thoroughly evaluated by no one other than Serena Illanyes."

Both appeared at his side. "Yes, King," they kneeled before the imposter was taken away.

"Alright, let's go find Yami. The real Yami. I need you both right now, so bad, I need to know you're both safe."

Yami, where are you?

Silence. It was what met him. Not the usual silence though, the kind that said he was just asleep. Or even knocked out. It was like he was gone. Yugi screamed.

"YAMI!" He took off down the hallway towards where Yami said he was the last time they'd talked.

"Yugi! Stop!" Atem shouted behind him.

Yugi acted like he didn't hear him, just kept running, blowing past everyone he saw until he skidded to a stop outside Yami's study. With no hesitation Yugi opened the doors to see a man standing over him taking notes, but Yami seemed to have some sort of hat on his head.

"Yugi, I told you to stop!" Atem scolded as he appeared in the doorway behind him.

The man in the room stiffened and quickly reached down to pluck the hat off of Yami's head. Atem roared, and flew at him. The man vanished, as did Atem, and a few seconds later one of Yami's large windows shattered, but Yugi couldn't see the cause of it. He rushed straight to Yami's side, cradling his face in his hands, placing his head against his chest. Vampire, didn't have a heartbeat. They needed to make a vampire with a heartbeat. Yugi checked for breathing patterns and found those. Yugi sighed, pressing his face into Yami's chest and cried. Yami was alive at least. Lifting his head, he looked for any signs of an injury. He couldn't find any, and figured it must be his fast healing abilities had already kicked in.

"Yami, Yami, wake up," Yugi begged shaking him by the shoulders. Yami just flopped up and down with every shake. "Yami!" Yugi wailed pressing his face into his chest again. This wasn't happening. They all just fixed their bond, it was stronger than ever so how had neither he nor Atem felt anything over the link, any part of it? Why hadn't Yami even cried out over it? What was going on?

Yugi lifted his face again, looking for help, but none was to be had. "Muhtaram, Zaire, and Samir, come to me now."

One of the three that he had just summoned appeared in the doorway. "You summoned me, Prince Yugi?" Zaire asked as he kneeled.

"There's no time for formalities, we need to get Yami to Isis. There's something wrong with him. Help me!"

Zaire made no move to do so, just looked up at him and stared. That's when Yugi saw it, his irises were the wrong color. Yugi scrambled back, dragging Yami with him. Placing his limp form behind him against the desk. Zaire stood up, and a hand burst from his chest holding his heart. The imposter stared down at it like he'd never seen one before.

"Your hair is too short, and height is too tall," a voice said right before crushing the organ. The hand pulled back out, and he dropped revealing Muhtaram right behind him. He didn't spare the imposter a second glance, just made a straight line for Yugi who he pulled to his feet. He checked him over for injuries before creating a vice around his upper arm.

"Ethan, in here! He's in here!" Muhtaram shouted.

Ethan, Zaire, Samir, Fabian, Osiris, Peyton, Taylor, and Leo all appeared in the doorway. Ethan, Fabian, and Taylor all made a beeline for the Queen. Yugi gave a cry of dismay as they laid their hands on him. Muhtaram just gave him a small shake.

"It's alright, Yugi, we're all the real thing."

"Where's the King?" Osiris demanded.

"He went chasing after the one who hurt Yami," Yugi replied pointing to the broken window.

"Strong headed fool," Osiris growled. He, Peyton, and Leo all turned to the window just as Atem appeared in the open space. Blood was dripping from an open cut on his head, he was holding his arm up at a weird angle, and there were several small cuts littering his body.

Yugi gave a cry of horror, and tried to yank himself out of Muhtaram's grip, but the vampire was firm on keeping him at his side. All of Atem's personal guards went on the defense, they didn't know whether this was Atem their King, or Atem another imposter. Atem hissed at all of them, crouching lower as if to spring at them in an attack.

"Tem!" Yugi cried trying to get to him again. Atem turned to him, all lethal and all beautiful. "Don't worry, you're still the prettiest man in the room!" Yugi assured them all. The guards fell out of their defensive positions and Atem did as well.

"The Palace is breached," Samir stated.

"You don't say?" Atem asked back sarcastically.

"They haven't just been replacing you two, they've been replacing the guards closest to you as well," Osiris explained further. "For instance I saw myself and Peyton knock out Ethan and carry off Ilsa Grein."

"No!" Atem screamed slamming his fist into the side of the window frame. Glass cut his hand as the frame was dented outwards at the blow.

"Atem," Yugi cried out pulling on his arm again and Muhtaram let him go this time as he ran into Atem's arms. Atem's arms folded around him, kissing his forehead before resting his cheek against this hair. Then they vanished from the window and appeared by Yami's side. Atem scooped him up, and held his unconscious form close.

"What did he do to you, Yami?" Atem cried.

"We need to get you to a safe house," Muhtaram said.

"Safe house?" Yugi questioned before a different thought occurred to him. "MY BABIES!" he screeched but had no chance of running off to find them as all the guards made a barrier around them.

"They're safe. Isis took them to the same safe house that you're going to go to."

"Take us, take us there," Yugi cried hiding his head in Atem's chest.

"Let's move, now," Atem ordered. He reluctantly handed Yami off to Ethan, and the other two. Yugi to Muhtaram, and his other two guards, and last he went with Osiris and the last two. "We go separate ways to meet in the middle."

"King!"

Muhtaram grabbed Yugi again by the arm and started to drag him in the opposite direction as the other two. Yugi cried and struggled, but Muhtaram would not let him go. It got so bad that Yugi felt a small pinch in his arm, and he fell to an unconscious state of being.

[Time skip]

Yugi slowly woke up to someone's soft cries, and another's soft hushing noises. He sat up to look around him. They were in a windowless room, and the air was stale, like it'd been shut up for quite some time. He looked towards the noises to see that Yami was up, and crying on Atem's shoulder, and he was the one making the shushing noises.

"Yami!" Yugi cried throwing himself at the vampire's back, and hugging him tight around the middle.

"I told you the dose wasn't that high," Samir grumbled nearby.

"Where are my babies? Where are they?" Yugi demanded.

"They're fine, Mahad took them to their boarding school himself. I assigned two bodyguards to them each. With their Mother's energy racing through their little bodies you know they're going to be trouble."

A door opened nearby with Muhtaram, Ethan, Osiris, and two others walking in.

"So?" Atem asked looking up at them.

"The threat is completely gone. And we found out how they were able to infiltrate so easily too. Those faces of theirs change like costume makeup. Whoever they were around, they adjusted some type of battery pack on their waistband to adjust to someone close to them."

"That's most alarming."

"Indeed it is. It doesn't explain how one took on the form of Yugi though. How a vampire, if he was a vampire at all, was able to do that still baffles me."

"What? Which one took my image?" Yugi asked surprised.

"The one that confronted me. I was completely fooled up until he bared his teeth at me in a grin. His fangs may have been shortened, but they were still a vampire's fangs. They looked very close to Twilight's Edward Cullen's set of teeth. If they'd been two centimeters shorter it would've been the perfect disguise."

"If they'd been two centimeters shorter than he would've been sucking out of a straw for the rest of his life," Atem grumbled. "But hey, what he lacks in fangs he makes up for in nails."

Now, Yugi knew it wasn't funny but just the way Atem said it made him laugh. His laughter filled the room putting everyone in it at ease. Yugi grinned at Atem over Yami's shoulder.

"That was not a joke, Yugi," Atem said rolling his eyes, but they still held amusement.

"I know, but just the way you said it is funny," Yugi responded back kissing Yami's shoulder.

"Do we know who that vampire is yet?" Atem asked.

"We've put the sketch you gave us out to every frequency, both above and below market," one of the others said. "It's a vampire that's never been seen. Never even being recorded of existing."

"That's impossible."

"We are aware, but that's how it would appear. No one is giving this vampire up. Oh, and I'm John, Prince."

"Lila," the other one said.

"Nice to meet you."

"John is in charge of our execution lists. The one that's given to Hunters, Werewolves, and our Special Teams," Yami explained. "Lila is in charge of gathering and distributing the intelligence for the execution lists."

"And as that is my job, and not John's, and I am happy to report that one person upon this Earth knew the man in the sketch. Unfortunately, all evidence has already been destroyed, but I do recall seeing an image of him at one point in a picture frame."

"Who's?"

"I do not know. I just recall seeing his picture as we destroyed evidence from a rogue's home that had gone berserk. When Mason took him out he just kept going on and on about how the man in the picture was going to change him. I'm going through all those files now to see if I can pinpoint a name of the rogue. However, Mason's destroyed so many, it might be a while before we have any answers."

"So, were they a new breed of mimickers?" Yugi asked in a nervous voice.

"I think the better word would be improved," Muhtaram said looking away.

"How did they die with poison? I thought your blood had to be your own for that to work?" Yugi looked at Atem when he asked this, but it was Lila who answered.

"Oh, that, it was a complex system of poison, but very effective. There were two molars in the back of the mouth, I believe the idea came from a movie called Salt. The ingenious effect of it though was that it didn't attack the blood stream but instead the nervous system, particularly those around the brain. Now usually, a vampire's fast healing abilities would fight this off, and win with little to no damage done to the one it was administered to. However, while one of the molars was attacking the nervous system, the other one was filled with a substance that shut down the faster healing capabilities of a vampire. Thus the poison was not only effective, but became lethal in less than a minute as the one taking it, by a willing choice, had no way to fight off the poison."

"And what of…Serena's findings? What new information do you have from her on these improved Mimickers?"

"They're powerful," Atem sighed looking away towards the opposite wall. "The one we had put in the ice container broke free, and is gone. They were gone before Serena even knew she had a specimen to dissect."

"Atem, we told you, it wasn't able to break out on its own," Osiris corrected. "The container was broken from the outside. Still though, to be able to break through that type of glass…the rescuer was strong."

"What type of glass was it?" Yugi asked in pure curiosity.

"…"

No one answered him, and he could feel over the link that both Yami and Atem did not want him to push the issue. Losing this Mimicker had been a big blow to their resources and they didn't wish to dwell on it any longer. So, Yugi changed the subject.

"So, since the threat is gone, can I go back to school?"

Atem smiled slightly, licking his lips, "Yes, you can go back to school."

"Thank you," Yugi sighed in relief. Yami's head turned to look at him over his shoulder.

"That anxious to get away from us, huh?"

"Now, you know I love you, but this brain of mine needs a constant feeding of knowledge. I won't survive without it. I shall wither away and die. You don't want me to wither away and die, do you?" Yugi widened his eyes in a slightly too innocent of a way.

Atem put his hand over Yugi's eyes, "no puppy eyes, Yugi."

Yugi grinned, lifting his head slightly to kiss Atem's palm. "Seriously though, my mountain of school work must be the same height as Mt. Everest by now, so I do need to get back."

"But before you go, there's something you need to do for us first," Yami said giving Atem a pointed look.

"Oh yeah?" Yugi asked pulling Yami closer to him as Atem leaned over the edge of the bed for something.

"I can also guarantee that it is far more innocent than what's on your mind."

"Oh, you can guarantee that, huh?" Yugi asked as a small click was heard.

"Since you don't like yours, pick one," Atem said.

Yugi looked away from Yami to Atem. He was holding out a box with at least 30 different types of rings in it. Only one spot in the entire case was empty. Each one was unique in its own way.

"But you guys were so proud of your picked ring."

"No, we were more proud that you had one on than the actual design of it," Yami countered.

"Hm, you're really going to let me choose my own engagement ring?"

"Yugi, we want you to love your ring as much as we do ours. So just pick the one you like most, okay?"

"Um, okay," Yugi said pulling off the one on his hand, and putting it into the empty slot. He looked them all over, but one kept drawing his attention back to it. It was a small ordinary thing with three infinity marks looped together like chains, but they definitely had the definitive mark of being an infinity sign. It was also a ring of three different colors: amethyst, a red color, and another purplish red color. Yugi picked it up, and put it on. He already knew it was never coming off again. "This one, this is the one."

Atem and Yami stared at him as some of the guards snickered. Yugi looked at them with a questioning eye, but still couldn't figure out why they were laughing. He looked back at Atem and Yami to see Atem shutting the box and setting it down on the bed.

"Of all the rings you could've chosen, it was that one."

"Why? You guys don't like it?"

"Should've just stuck with our first and original choice," Yami muttered.

"Yep."

"This was the original engagement ring?"

"Yes, it is."

"Always go with your first gut. By the way, what are these other two stones on here?"

"Garnet, and Indian Star Ruby."

Yugi hummed, as he angled both of their faces towards him. Deep red, and purplish red, just like the stones of the ring. "They're pretty," Yugi whispered leaning in and kissing one and then the other vampire.

The three of them just basked in each other's presence, foreheads pressed together. Yugi became aware, slowly, that there seemed to be an argument going on behind them.

"Well, I say he did, so the bet is off!"

"Oh yeah? Well, why don't we have him prove it, huh?"

"Yugi! Did you see your ring the first time that they proposed?" Muhtaram asked shoving Ethan and Osiris apart.

"No, just the little velvet box. I was too busy telling them no before they could even open it."

"Broke our hearts that day," Atem said in a dramatic voice.

Yugi crawled up over him, "Liar," he said before sealing their lips in a kiss. A kiss that got so heavy so quickly, Muhtaram himself stepped up to pull them apart.

"You have school, remember?"

"Screw school, I want him more," Yugi said with hooded eyes.

"Oh geez," Yami chuckled.

"Nope! Going to school, because none of us wants a show."

"Really? Not even the one I gave to them that one time at the Christmas party, or at the meeting when I overdosed on side effects?"

"Let's not forget the one you did on New Years when they weren't here that one time," Samir sighed. "I don't think we'll ever get those images out of heads. Took forever to catch you and when we did, you insisted on sleeping with Jou and everyone else regardless of whether you had any clothes on or not. It didn't seem to matter."

"Wait, you remember what happened that night?"

"It wasn't night, it was early morning. Somehow you lot got it into your heads that it would be fun to winter tan, and then someone wanted to go skinny dipping. And of course, when you're all drunk if one thinks that something is a good idea, the rest do too. Kaiba just barely managed to convince you all to do it in his whirlpool at home. After that, you decided to play DDR, still nude, and then everyone got tired and decided to go to bed. No matter what we said or did, you were certain that the place to be was in Jou's bed with him. Something about wanting to be cuddled."

"I wish I could say it was all coming back to me, but nope, it's still a wild blackout night."

"What is a winter tan?" Yami asked.

"A winter tan, is apparently where you strip down, and lay out in the freezing cold air, and tan over your tan lines," Kareem said rolling his eyes. "We asked too. If anything though, they were just attempting a moon tan with hypothermia thrown into the mix."

"Are you going to put me down?" Yugi asked Muhtaram.

"Nope! You might try to jump or seduce them. TU doesn't believe us anymore when we give them excu-reasons as to why you're not in class. We tried passing Heba off as you, but he doesn't know squat. I think he actually helped you fail a test, and that's how they figured out that he wasn't you."

"HE WHAT?!" Yugi screeched. All the vampires winced. "Oh! Oh! Oh! I need to get back! I need to get back! I need to get back!" Yugi struggled in the vampire's grip, trying to get free. Muhtaram had no choice but to let him go. He gave both Yami and Atem a quick peck on the cheek before grabbing his jacket and running out of the room. He was back a moment later.

"So, um, there are like 20 different paths out there in front of the door. Which one do I take?"

All the vampires chuckled. There were actually 30, but hey, Yugi was probably just guessing. It wasn't a safe house for nothing. Only an idiot would use the front door though.

"Yugi, this way," Yami said grinning turning a random wooden knot on the bed. The whole thing shifted to the left revealing a hidden staircase. Yugi stared at it with his mouth agape. If he didn't have his enhanced vision he was sure it would be more than pitch black, it would be like walking down into an endless void of space. As it was, he could just barely make out a faint translucent light coming out of it.

"You want me to go down there?"

"Yes."

"Yami, I can barely see."

"So can we. But that's kind of the point. A vampire has to literally rely on their natural born instincts to make it through any of the routes to this room. If it were human easy, anyone could find it."

"Right," Yugi said slowly backing up to latch himself to Marcus's side. "Um, Kareem, Samir, after one of you please."

Muhtaram threw back his head in laughter, before motioning to one of them to 'lead the way'.

"Oh, I see how it is, favoritism of the babysitter huh?" Samuel asked.

"Well, what do you expect? He coddled the King, coddled the Queen, and is trying to do the same to the Prince. Why wouldn't they choose him over us, huh?" Konner asked.

"Well, shall we be the pawns, Kareem?" Samuel asked offering his arm to the man.

"I don't think we have much of a choice," Konner replied taking it. The two marched down the steps in perfect strides. Hm, Yugi wondered if they would be interested in doing a three legged race sometime? They'd win for sure.

"I did not coddle the King," Marcus argued as he dragged Yugi after them.

"Bye Tem and Ami!" Yugi said as the passage started to close above their heads.

"Yes, you did! We were there, we saw with our own eyes how you coddled him!"

"That was the way his Father wanted him raised, I swear!"

"Lies! All of them!"

"Don't believe him, Yugi. Muhtaram here is the King of Coddle." Konner's voice echoed from somewhere up in front of him.

"I am not! Stop telling him stories!"

Yugi bit his bottom lip, way too good to pass up on the fun here. "I don't know, these stories sound pretty believable to me. In fact, they make a lot of sense."

"You're not serious?" Marcus asked in disbelief.

"Well, the King is still pretty spoiled. And if he was raised from birth that he was the center of the universe than all would make sense."

"He was Prince, on his way to become a King. Of course he was going to be brought up to think he was the center of the universe."

"Yeah, but you didn't have to lay that knowledge on him so heavily. I mean you could've lightened it up a little bit. Let him know that there were other people in this world with their own universes, and not all of them would revolve around him."

Konner and Samuel were laughing up ahead. The sounds echoing off of the walls. Then they just stopped like a needle being taken off a record.

Yugi opened his mouth, but a hand immediately covered it. "Don't say a word," Marcus whispered into his ear before he was pressed against a wall, and Yugi saw the faint outline of all three crouching in front of him. Something was in the tunnel with them.

"Chill, it's just me," Yami said from somewhere near them. "You guys forgot his backpack."

"We didn't bring it," Samuel growled.

Yugi heard someone take a deep breath. Then he was slapping his hands over his ears, and squeezing his eyes shut as a high pitched earth shattering blood curdling scream erupted up and down the tunnel. Flood lights flared to life in high beams of white light. And if both were sensitive to Yugi, then he could only imagine how they would affect his guards.

Someone looped an arm around his waist, hoisted him over his shoulder and was carrying him away. Yugi could care less at the moment if it was the enemy or an ally as sounds of fighting filled the tunnel. They burst out into the cool night air, and he was set on something long and narrow. Then he felt the presence of them gone. Yugi cautiously opened his eyes, and was met with a fifty foot drop. He was on a tree limb, straddling it like a horse. What was it with vampires and trees?

Yugi looked around, but he couldn't see any other way to get this high besides climbing. Great, he was stranded in a tree. With no hope of escape should the ones that came after him weren't his guards. Yugi started to lean against the trunk when he was swooped up into a pair of arms, and they leaped from one tree to another like a Ninja from Naruto. Yugi looked up to see Atem's profile.

"Um, you are my vampire, right?" Yugi asked. Atem hissed at him. "Pretty." Atem rolled his eyes and continued to hop from one tree to the next. It was sometime before they finally dropped to the ground and Atem just ran with him. Yugi could only hope that they were headed back to TU and not some other safe house.

"How did they find us?" Yugi asked to break the silence after he felt enough of it had already passed them by.

"Probably from one of the tunnels in the Palace. We don't know how long they've been among us going unseen and unnoticed. Should've taken you out the front door after all. That was the only path that they weren't in. I hope everyone makes it out okay."

"Wait, where's Yami?"

"He's fighting his look alike."

"No, we have to go back."

"No, we're not doing that. You're their primary target. You're always the target."

"And how do you know that? It seemed like I was the distraction the last time."

"Because the man with the odd shaped hat said so. He said your capture was inevitable, and we should just avoid what would be a huge fight, and give you up now."

"I'm sure your response to that was something along the lines of 'over my dead body or never' right?"

"Of course. Why would I respond with anything else? Like for instance that his cause was already lost and we would never surrender you."

"Why indeed?"

"You know how much we love and care for you, right?"

"Of course I do."

"Good, then you won't be upset that we're not headed back to TU."

"Atem. I need a degree. I can't get that if I'm expelled for missing too many days of class."

"Yugi-"

"Don't even Yugi me. Go to TU."

"It's not safe."

"This wasn't safe either! We've talked about this in the past, Atem. I'm not giving up my life because I'm being hunted. I need to go to class, I need to get my degree, I need to go back to TU. Take me to TU."

"I guess you really don't get it. I can't do that."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't-," Atem's words were cut off as Yugi was hit with a spray of blood. Yugi now had a headless Atem on top of him. Yugi screamed as he shoved Atem's corpse off of him. He stood up to see his three guards surrounding him.

"Damn, how did this one get past our defenses?" Samuel asked as he checked Yugi over for any injuries, but from a lone scrape on his hand he was otherwise unharmed.

"He used the front door?" Yugi half guessed and told them. He was slowly backing away from them. He didn't know where he was, didn't know if these were his guards, and could no longer tell the difference between his mates and the imposters. This frightened him more than anything else. Not being able to tell the difference between them. What was he going to do?

Konner, Samuel, and Marcus matched him step for step. They weren't about to let their charge out of their sight. Atem and Yami would kill them for sure if they did so again. Yugi didn't know that though, and they understood. That they could be imposters too, and Yugi was having a harder time telling them apart. That was obvious by the way that he just let the fake Atem carry him off like that without so much as a single scream.

Yugi continued his slow pace of backing away until eight individual feet tapped down beside and behind him. Yugi spun in circles, completely trapped by vampires on all sides of him. He didn't know if they were friend or foe though.

"Good, you caught them," Yami hissed trying to wrap his arms around Yugi only for the latter to shuffle several feet back.

"Yugi?" Atem frowned, "I'm still the prettiest man in the room right?"

"I don't know!" Yugi cried. "He was pretty too," Yugi pointed to the corpse on the ground. "He was pretty when he turned lethal. How do I tell you apart?"

Marcus frowned before swooping over and kissing him. This made both Atem and Yami hiss at him, their faces even more enraged than they'd been before. Then Marcus spun him over to Yami, and allowed him to cure his kiss. The soothing touch of cool lips washed the pain away. As soon as they pulled away, Osiris did the same, and Atem soothed it with his lips.

Pale blue eyes stared out of the shadows at them. How easily they consoled their mate, and assured him that he was safe. It sickened them to their very core. Still though, that was one thing they'd never be able to duplicate. The bond, the link, between them. The last time they'd sent Mimickers they'd messed up, and tampered with that fragile line of communication. They made sure that none of the others did the same. It would completely ruin all of their plans. They'd been successful in duplicating everything over this large space of time as they were busy with their care free lives.

"What now Master?" a voice whispered close to them.

"We pull back. We need a different opportunity. He's too heavily guarded, we'll never be able to grab him. Especially with them so on guard of an attack. It was foolish to try again so soon. A loss of time, and waste of eight good specimen. Come, gather your siblings, we leave now."

"Yes Master," they bowed before vanishing.

The pale blue eyes watched them for a few more moments before Yugi's head snapped over to stare directly at them. For a minute they thought that they were seen, and the longer their eyes stayed connected the more they risked just that happening. They vanished too, leaving not even a trace of footsteps from where they stood.

"Yugi," Yami asked, "What're you looking at?"

"I thought someone was staring at me, but the feeling is gone now."

All heads swiveled in that direction, and three blurry figures disappeared into the trees that lined the road they were on. Yami pulled him closer, but they came back out just as quickly.

"There is a faint trace of scent, but not enough to follow it anywhere," Ethan said kicking a can across the street.

"Hm, he's good then."

"Are we even sure they're male? I mean he made female vampires, and male vampires into the opposite sex. How do we know he isn't under the same façade?" Taylor asked.

"That's a fair point," Marcus said turning his head to the side slightly as he looked up to the sky. Yugi knew the look well, it was his deep thought look.

"Do you think he could duplicate our bond?" Yami asked.

"A Mimicker has all the abilities of the vampire they're impersonating," Atem stated as if the explanation was textbook. "The question you should be asking yourself is if he would?"

"It's dangerous, and I don't believe any of them tried it," Marcus responded still looking up at the sky. "So he may already know of the dangers surrounding the invasion of the bond like that. I mean you even said that he refused to converse with you like that while he was in your study, Yami. I think he does know the dangers and wouldn't want to risk them, oddly enough. He has some other ulterior motive. What though, that is the only question we should be asking ourselves."

"Come on, we need to get back to school so Yugi can start in on his mountain of assignments. There is no pity for the absentee student," Samuel sighed.

Yami swung Yugi up onto his back, and just like that all of them were running at that alarming pace of vampire speed to Tokyo University. It was an hour or so, but Yugi was finally put down on a comfy squishy non-moving surface. A bucket shaped item was put in his hands, and Yugi just upchucked his guts into it. He was handed a glass of water, and a mint shortly after. Sucking on the mint, Yugi curled up on his side, and didn't move for the rest of the day.

[Time skip]

Yugi woke up the next day still feeling nauseous, and a little light headed to find his mates…still there. Why were they still there? Should they not already be off trying to make vampire society a safer place? And why were they looking at him like that? As if they were unsure about something? He was fine with his guards…most of the time. He was willing to overlook yesterday's slight, and if he was they should be too.

"Are you…awake?" Yami finally asked.

"Yeah," Yugi yawned. "Why, you aren't?"

"Are you sure? Because we've had this conversation six times already."

"Yeah, I'm-" Yugi tried to sit up and flopped back down onto the covers, "whoa, head rush."

"Do you need something?"

"Aspirin would be very nice."

"We have something even better. Isis!"

"He better be awake this time or I will leave him in misery next time he 'wakes up'."

"We think he is?" Yami said with an unsure grin.

"Hmph!" Isis said as she took his head between her hands.

Yugi hummed as he felt a strange tickling sensation, and then like a cold gel was being seeped into his brain. That was less fun as it started to create a headache for him. Yugi started to make noises of discomfort as the headache grew worse the more this cold gel touched his brain. He squeezed his eyes shut and tried pulling away, but Isis squeezed his head harder to keep him in place.

"No, stop, let me go, I don't like it," Yugi whined pawing at her hand.

He heard Atem sigh, and then his hands and feet were being held down. Yugi struggled a little more, and then it felt like the gel was back tracking over his brain. He stopped struggling as it was warming up now. Then a new thought occurred to him, how did they get the gel into his brain without any surgical methods? Yugi opened his eyes as he tried to figure out this new method of brain surgery without the surgery part.

Just as he was coming to the conclusion that magic could be the only logical explanation Isis pulled her hands away from his head. She growled something under her breath before slapping both Atem and Yami upside their heads.

"Hey! Don't abuse my mates," Yugi cried, springing up to look at her. Hey, no head rush, cool.

"I don't even need to ask either, because I know exactly what you did. First you ran with him while the water in his head was back and forth, and then for some reason that I can't even fathom as to why, you ran with him with the water going from side to side. You idiots!"

"Isis, use your indoor voice or I'm going to have to ask you to leave," Yugi said calmly motioning downwards with his hands.

"I just fixed your 'head rush' as you named it. I don't want any lip."

"Then don't be yelling at or hitting them. I don't think it matters how many times they're told not to run with me, they're going to do it anyway. So just drop it!"

"Wasn't he just saying she should use her indoor voice?" Samuel asked from somewhere behind him.

"Shut it," Yugi growled pointing back towards his voice and hitting his finger on something in the process. "Ow, what did I hit?" Yugi waved his finger about before putting it into his mouth to suck on it.

"Atem's jaw," Yami responded. "Are you okay, Atem? Did the Yugi Cutie hurt you?"

"Drop the babying voice that he likes to use," Atem said through laughter.

Yugi flopped back to lay in Atem's lap. He sighed, quite content to stay where he was for the rest of the day, but then his eyes fell onto his desk. Well, it wasn't as high as Mt. Everest, but dang it came pretty close. He was gonna kill himself a vampire by the end of the week he just knew it.

"Day?" Yugi asked.

"Wednesday."

"Great," Yugi sighed pushing up from the bed. He wandered over to the desk completely baffled as to why there should be this much work when he only had two classes. But who was he to judge his Senseis'? They'd probably piled more work on him just because he wasn't there. With slight reluctance, Yugi sat down and pulled the first assignment towards him and started to get down to it.

That night when he went to class, he was slammed with six different tests that he had missed and was told to add it onto his already massive work pile. Oh, and she wanted them back, plus the missed assignments by next class. Yugi went to see his other Sensei after the class was over and was given eight missed tests, plus an extra paper for why students shouldn't skip their classes. The extra assignment had to be four pages long, single spaced, and have at least three sources attached to it. In other words a research paper. All to be due next class. Goody, Yugi was going to have tons of fun this week.

Stopping at the student store on campus Yugi bought eight bags of fried eggplant. The thing he liked about the student store was they didn't ask questions, and didn't care if you were in the care of a vampire or not. Every student had wandered into the student store to buy at least one bag of fried eggplant at one point in time. He gave the clerk 3200 yen and left the store.

The minute he stepped into the apartment with the food was a different matter altogether though. Marcus was immediately complaining that he couldn't just eat the eggplant, he had to eat regular food too. He wouldn't tell his mates that he was planning on keeping himself awake so long as he ate normal food too.

"That's fine. I was planning on eating regular food anyway. So, tell me, what did you overcook tonight?"

"Nothing! I was told until I learned how to cook from the great Eliza I wasn't allowed to touch the stove. So, here's a box of cereal, and a milk jug. You know where the spoons and bowls are at. Enjoy!"

"Ha ha ha ha, just fair warning, she likes to use spoons as smacking tools. But shhhh, don't tell anyone."

"Oh, it's good to have you back. Now eat, you haven't eaten yet today."

"Yes, sir!"

Yugi was halfway through the bowl when a question came to mind.

"Hey, what did you do to Hotsuma? Please tell me it was painful."

"Oh extremely, for him anyway. Originally I was going to rip his head off, but Atem told me no. So instead I sent him back to the Academy to teach new recruits. And I'm talking about the ones that have just entered it too. He hates me with a burning passion at the moment, but that's what he gets for posting unauthorized messages on the line."

"It's online," Yugi corrected. Seriously, why he had to keep correcting him about this was beyond him.

"Hm?"

"It's not on the line, it's online. You know actually, it's on the web. Just call it on the web."

"On the web?"

"Yeah, just call it the web, and everyone will know exactly what you're talking about," Yugi said hopping off his stool, and going around the bar to put his dishes in the sink. "Alright, break time is over, back to work."

Because Wednesday was his last class of the week all Yugi did from then until Friday was work day and night on his school work. Working more on his Monday assignments then his Wednesday ones as he would have one extra day for those than he would his first class. All in all though he managed to chew his way through six of the eight packages that he'd bought of fried eggplant. By the end of Friday he was exhausted and in no condition to drive back home. So instead he sent a message to his mates that he was cramming at TU and wouldn't be home this weekend. The response was less than pleased, but what could they do? Their bond had had to be corrected, and now all of them were facing the consequences of that. In more ways than one too.

Yugi spent all of Saturday sleeping, and then Sunday working again. They showed up around noon wanting food, and who was Yugi to deny them? Or so was their thought process on the way over. They had a different one though when they saw the bags under his eyes, the packages of fried eggplant in the trash as well as numerous take-out boxes, and a very crabby voice in the form of a greeting.

"You should know better by now than to come in between him and his studies. I mean seriously you've been around him for how long now?" Marcus asked from behind them.

Yami was trying to reason with their unruly food bag. He wasn't having much success as Atem turned to Marcus. "How many bags did he buy and how many has he eaten? Also, please tell me he's had more than just take out since we left him with you."

"Of course! How rude, I gave him cereal Wednesday night when he got back." Atem rolled his eyes at Marcus. "As for your first question he had a total of eight bags, and he was working on seven this morning."

"Why would you let him eat that many?" Yami whined having just given up on reasoning with Yugi.

"Because I wanted peace, and when he's happy I have peace. When he's not happy I have hell. And don't you think I've deserved a bit of peace after what I went through with his cousin?"

"Well, just remember, Muhtaram, if you don't play with it the baby will get bored and move onto the next toy. Like the box!"

"Don't use that analogy with me! His cousin was worse than him and all his friends combined."

"Did you call my cousin a baby, Atem?"

"Yes, yes I did. What are you going to do about?"

"Nothing, at the moment, I'm working on an extra assignment because I wasn't in class Monday like I said I would be."

"That wasn't our fault," Yami said calmly.

"Am I blaming you?"

"The tone was very accusatory."

Yugi just shook his head, hit a few more keys on his keyboard, saved the file, and pushed away from the desk. "Alright, who's hungrier, Atem or Yami. I feel like feeding you now."

"Well, isn't that gracious of you?" Atem asked in a sarcastic voice.

"It'll come at a cost though."

"It will?" Yami asked.

"Yes, I'm going to need a back massage and proper food. Take-out just isn't doing it for me."

"Done, c'mere."

"Eh, food first, then feeding, and then massage."

"Food always comes after the feeding."

"Fine massage, feed, and then food."

"Alright, Yami you get started on the food, I'll do the massage at the same time. Then we'll both feed, and give him the soup you prepared. If everything goes to plan he'll be out before two."

"Whoever said I was making soup?" Yami asked as he walked out of the room.

"Must everyone be difficult today?" Atem asked with a heavy amount of exasperation.

"Oh, has everyone been mean to you today?" Yugi asked trying his very best not to sound patronizing. He took off his shirt and jacket and went to lie down on the bed.

"Yes! It's like there's this massive sign over my head saying 'make my life difficult' today!" Atem responded back as the bed pressed down around him.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No. It's just vampire politics. The kind we try not to get involved with actually. So, I appreciate the offer but no thank you I don't want to talk about it."

"Are you sure?" He asked as Atem started to work the knots out of his back.

"Yes. Geez, Yugi, could try stressing a little less? Have some mercy on your hungry and tired masseuse."

Yugi broke down in laughter. Not because he was taking joy out of causing Atem grief. Poor thing that he was today, but just from his use of that last word. It was clear that he had no idea as to the definition behind it.

"Atem, a masseuse is a woman that provides massages, as well as extra benefits."

"Well, that seems very sexist."

"The word you're looking for is masseur. For you are more than qualified to provide me with those extra benefits when giving me a massage."

"What extra benefits?"

"Sex. What else?"

"No, this is a massage only zone."

"Then that would be a massage therapist. You sir, are a massage therapist." Yugi burst out in a fit of laughter again, "Masseuse, I am never going to let you live that down."

"Great. I try to be all intellectual for you and you just don't appreciate it."

"Try being correct first, and then I'll appreciate your intellectual qualities," Yugi laughed as he turned his head to look at him over his shoulder. Atem was purposefully not looking at him, but rather his hands. He worked out the last bit, and then grabbed Yugi's waist, rolling over onto the bed. Yugi found himself on top of Atem from his new position.

"Is this a new feeding position you've been dying to try out or something?"

"Heh heh, no. I just need something to hold. It's been a rough weekend for us both."

"Well, no one makes a better teddy bear than a human."

"Not to mention that this particular one loves to be cuddled."

"Does he now?"

"Indeed," Atem muttered, kissing his neck. Then he bit into Yugi.

I knew it! This is a fantasized eating position.

On the contrary, it's simply convenient.

Yeah, okay, sure it is.

"You are impossible, Yugi," Atem murmured pulling out of him, and cleaning up the small traces of blood.

"Do you want to avoid your troubles and stay with me for the night?"

"No! We cannot avoid our royal duties, Yugi!" Yami shouted from the kitchen.

"Was I talking to him?" Yugi asked Atem back in a loud voice.

Atem burst out in laughter and couldn't stop for some time.

"You see how he loves us, Muhtaram? You see?"

"I don't know, it sounds like he loves Atem more right now. You seem like you're out of luck. Guess you're going to have to be at the meeting without him at three today."

"Atem," Yami whined.

"Don't whine to me. Talk to the human about it."

"Wait a minute has he actually persuaded you to stay?"

"Sounds good to me," Atem said back pulling Yugi closer. His fingers danced across Yugi's side directly over one if his ticklish spots. Yugi shrieked with laughter, trying-and failing-to get away.

"Please don't make me face all those grumpy and irritated people alone?"

"Come on, it'll be a great chance for you to introduce them to your 'shut up and sit down' side."

"Really? You really want to go there? I'd much rather introduce them to your 'enough or I'll rip off your heads' side."

"Now Yami, don't go telling stories," Yugi interrupted. "We both know who has the better control of their raw emotions in this relationship. We've seen them execute them countless of times. However unfortunate that may be for us. Still, I highly doubt he actually has that type of side."

Atem made a sound, before burying his face into Yugi's neck as he just laughed. All tickling of Yugi had ceased.

"Are you seriously gaining up on me?" Yami asked with slanted eyes as he strolled into the room with a bowl of steaming hot soup.

"Oooo, food!" Yugi cried out reaching for it.

"Oh, you want this?"

"Yes!"

"Then convince him to come with me instead."

"Oh, does this mean that you don't want to eat then?"

Yami rearranged his hand slightly, and made like he was about to through the bowl at Yugi. Yugi's eyes widened slightly at the threat and grabbed Atem's arm like he was preparing to whip him around in front him like a shield. Kind of like how one would a single strap backpack when they were looking for something in the main pocket.

"Don't throw it," Atem warned. "You and I both know you only made one bowl of it, so don't throw it. You'll just be making it again. Did you bring enough for two?"

Yami looked at the bowl in his hand before looking off to the side, and grumbling something under his breath. He walked over to the two of them, placed the bowl on the table, and then reached over and picked Yugi up from Atem's arms. Yugi's head lolled back on his shoulders as Yami bit into.

How did you know?

Know what?

That I've always fantasized being bitten like this? So hot!

Yami pulled his fangs out, and licked up the small traces of blood before dropping him back to the bed. "Atem's right, you're being impossible today." He handed Yugi the soup, who ate it greedily.

"Okay, you can stay too! I need proper cooks anyway."

"Lack of sleep in humans create odd moods," someone said from the doorway. Both vampires turned to see Samir standing there. "It's something we've learned over the years."

"Yugi, were playing the upstairs neighbor's dog again?" Zaire asked appearing at his side.

"Maaaaaybe? Why?"

"You didn't by any chance give it your seventh bag of eggplant, did you?" Samir asked.

"Maybe next time he'll turn off the music when it's 2 am next time. I was trying to sleep yesterday thank you very much."

"Yes, except now he has a too energetic puppy that will probably making noise all night. So, how does that fit in with your plan?"

"Oh no, the puppy will crash. Some girl in class gave some of the eggplant to her cat once, and she said that after six hours of hyperactivity the cat was out for 24. So she tested it on her brother's parakeet, her dad's turtle, and mom's dog. All had the same results. Six hours of hyperactivity, and then the crash for 24 hours. The turtle going nuts was really something though."

"She taped it, didn't she?" Zaire asked in a why-bother-asking voice.

"Nope, her house is rigged with a security system and cameras, she just hacked into that."

"Perfect talent, wasted."

"Oh! Maybe that's what we should get for the Palace, a high end security system?"

"But like you said, they're hackable," Yami pointed out, but he could already see Atem contemplating he idea.

"Then have a vampire make it. One who has taken 21st century tech to the 22nd century level already. Surely there must be someone like that out there?"

"Hm," Yami looked down as he thought for a moment then looked back up at Atem. Yugi heard a stream of what sounded like water pass over the mind link between them. He didn't even bother trying to intercept it, he was too tired.

"You're brilliant, Yugi, as per usual," Atem whispered kissing his cheek. Then Yugi felt the bed shift.

"Hey, what happened to staying?" Yugi asked groggily as he reached out to capture Atem's shirt.

"I said it sounded good, but Yami's right, we can't neglect our duties."

"Stupid self-control." Yugi's hand dropped back to the bed.

"Don't you worry, you'll be thanking this stupid self-control of mine in a few months' time."

"We love you, Yugi, now get some sleep," Yami said kissing his brow. They both left in one quick step the front door shutting behind them.

"How do you like that? They come, they feed, they eat, and then leave. Someone go fetch me that hyperactive pup upstairs, I need an abundance in kisses right now."

The vampires just laughed as they walked away. Yugi drifted off to sleep slowly, the effects of the soup getting to him. Yugi yawned one more time before succumbing to sleep, wondering briefly what this year would bring them, and if it would be anything like the first few weeks they'd already had?

Wasn't as long as I thought it was going to be, but oh well. Next chapter will hold lots of goodies for you. When that will be up I have no idea. For those of you unaware, I got a new job! Yay for me, not so much for you as it usually consists of me working nine hours a day in six day week shifts. Sometimes more in a row than that. I had eleven days in a row the other week. Also, I would appreciate it my Guest reviewers could limit themselves to one review per chapter as this is all that the Users get to review for. If any of my readers would like to chat with me feel free to PM at any time. I might not get back to right away, but I do try to answer in a timely matter. Kay, questions? YugiAtemYami-your invisible side effect is an interesting one, but I think I'm going to twist it to make it more entertaining and realistic. Weiver-thank you for giving my trilogy another chance. Slyph-No, they did not use seduction on Yugi. It was unnecessary after he told Yami the truth. And...looks like that's it! Thank you to everyone who reviewed Guest and User alike. Thank you to everyone who have/are favorited/following this story. Please review. Midnight ;p
